Multiple ARD displays

Ok so after a bit of digging I haven't been able to find a consensus on this topic, so I'm going to guess that ARD doens't support multiple displays or listening ports?
I want to be able to have my ARD server allow for more than one client to connect to it on separate sessions. ARD defaults to port 5900 but if there was a way to add additional ports that would be great. Can anyone confirm if this is possible? If not is there software out there that can handle this?

I want to be able to have my ARD server allow for more than one client to connect to it on separate sessions.
I presume that what you're after is something akin to Microsoft's Remote Access/Terminal Services or Citrix's software, and sorry, that's not possible. Mac OS X doesn't support multiple users when using the Aqua graphic user interface, no matter what software you use. The only way to have multiple remote users in Mac OS X is to be running X11 apps or command line (terminal) apps.

  • T530i multiple external displays without dock

    Hello all,
I'm having an issue trying to set up a T530i with Intel HD Graphics 400 with multiple external displays.  I have searched the forum and not found anything similar, it looks like most people are using docking stations with their configurations which I don't have.  Here is what I'm trying to set up.
    External + External + Laptop
Currently, I am running a VGA splitter to the External displays.  This works as expected, replicating the display on both externals, as Windows only sees the connection as one external display.
My goal and endstate is to have the system recognize and operate as 3 seperate displays (extended desktop).
In my attempt to achieve this, I obtained a Mini Display Port to VGA converter, plugging one external display into each port (VGA and Mini Display port converted to VGA) the system now recognizes the a 3rd monitor, but it will not allow me to extend (or even activate it). I am only able to run 2 screens simultaneously.  Whenever I try to activate the 3rd display ("extend desktop to this display") when I hit apply, I get an error message stating "unable to save display settings".
Is there a solution to this where I will be able to run all 3 displays? The only thing I have not tried is using a splitter on the Mini Display port as I do not currently have access to one.

    Hi Bret,
This is a user-to-user discussion forum so your frustration needs to be directed at Apple. Unfortunately, there's no word from Apple directly as to why they do not offer multiple monitor support (on their website that I could find).
Regrettably, the next best thing is to reach out via the appropriate feedback section:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback
I'm with you, though, the option would be nice.

  • Driving multiple exterrnal displays??

What would apple need to add to the MBPs to drive multiple external displays, perhaps two 30" displays like the G5s????

I probably should of posted this under MBP Displays sorry, if moderator could move it over that would be great.

  • Connection from ONE VM to multiple X-displays?

    Hallo,
is it possible to display AWT/Swing components on multiple X11 displays (not screens)
from ONE virtual machine? Each display has its own name/ip-address.
    Thanx

From the command line you can only "export DISPLAY" to one machine.
But, have a look at java.awt.GraphicsDevice and java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment.
They look promising, returning an array of screens.
    regards,

  • Multiple Hierarchies display in BW report

    Hi All,
I am having issue regarding multiple hierarchies display in BW report, not all levels are displayed, but i can see them in their respective hierarchy maintenance.
i have a report like project definition hierarchy then WBS hierarchy then followed by Order info object into rows and then some KFs in colums.
when i drill down project  definition hierarchy i coudn't able to see some middle nodes, but few at the bottom which have orders in next WBS hierarchies. and same as in WBS hierarchy i can see ony few WBS which have orders.
But i want to display all project definition nodes and WBS hierarchy nodes. even though there are no ordes for WBS elements.
there are no zero supressions neither in Hierarchy attributes nor in KF structures.
what could be the problem, how can i resolve it. I have been searching in SDN but couldnt find suitable solutions. Please let me know the earliest.
    Thanks
    Robyn.

    Hi,
The problem that you have explained generally comes because of two problems.
    1. If you do check for zero suppression
    2. You don't go for full expansion level of heirarchy.
Any way you mentioned first case is not applicable for you, check for second case. Expand heirarchy upto maximum level. Your problem will be resolved.

  • Multiple virtual displays like linux - possible?

Hi,  I'm a Linux user and I use/rely on multiple virtual displays to do my work; can't imagine living without this capabiltiy.  Just curious if OSX's window manager allows this or not?  I've looked around on the imac my daughter uses and in the Mountain Lion manual but can't find any info on it.
    Thanks!

Gottcha! I finally found it in the book.  That's what I'm talkin' 'bout.   Thanks a bunch...I figured since OSX is Unix it should have it somewheres...LOL.
    Kim
PS: Just clicked up 3 or 4 in Mission Control. That should do it.  (I can't get used to the Apple Lingo and frankly silly names.  Just say virtual display (what "spaces" really is) and i'm good with that. Sigh...)
If anyone in development cares, frankly this is a bit clutsy.  You have to go to "mission control" to get to your other displays?

  • How to handle Multiple Conditional Display

I have a page (call it page 2) that one can navigate to using a column link from another page, or using a link from a list. On page 2 I have a region that I would like to conditionally display; display the region if they navigate using the list link, do not display if they navigate using the column link or if the page is in printer friendly mode. I can probably handle a multiple conditional display for a region using something like a PL/SQL Function Body returning boolean, is it possible to know which link was clicked?
Other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Mark

    Sudheshna-
    In my List, I set REQUEST to P2_PARAM. On page 2, in the region where I want to control the display, for Conditional Type I chose PL/SQL Function Body returning boolean. In Expresion 1 I have this code;
    BEGIN
    IF V('REQUEST') = 'P2_PARAM' THEN
    RETURN TRUE;
    ELSE
    RETURN FALSE;
    END IF;
    END;
The ELSE, handles the times I do not want to display the region, in my case if I linked to the page from a column on a page other than page 2, or if I want the page in printer friendly mode.

  • Multiple iMac display failures

Hi there, my late 2009 27" iMac has had two display failures since I purchased it.  The most recent replacement was done by Apple in Nov 2012 while still under Apple Care.  It is currently in need of a third display (the replacement one has failed after 23 months), is this normal for this product that will be five years old next month?  Or do I have something else that is the issue or perhaps a lemon product?

That a UPS unit would have prevented your logic board failures. Properly designed power supplies do not need a UPS unit in this country. In some third world countries where the power is unreliable on a daily basis with large power swings, they are a must have.
In my opinion, the G5 iMac's were a poor design with inadequate heat dissipation, weak power supplies and logic boards. Most of them ran for years, but an inordinate number of them had multiple failures. The new aluminum models are a much better design with most of the high heat components located at the top of the machine.
I had no hardware problems with my eight year old Dell...but I'm still sticking with Apple because of their superior software performance.
Good luck with what ever you decide...virg

  • Multiple unidentifiable display issues

I am running an Nvidia GTX 680 with two monitors connected to the DVI ports.  When I log in I will get a screen flash similar to that of when you plug a second monitor in or change your display settings.  It just goes off for a second or two once
or twice in a row and then it's fine.  Occasionally however it will do this flicker 3 or 4 times and then the screen turns a bright green and the whole PC is locked up tight.  It has to be force powered off.  It happens seemingly randomly though
there are a few things I can do that cause it 9 time out of 10:
Changing from a window containing video to any other window including the desktop.
Running any sort of video editing software.  I tested it with After Effects CC 2014 and Premiere CC 2014.
I have taken some steps to resolve:
    >Updated and downgraded Nvidia driver as well as let windows choose the driver to install in hopes of finding a working one.  They      issue continued.
    >Installed the manufacturer monitor drivers as well as let microsoft choose a proper driver.  Neither worked.
    >Tried multiple DVI cable/Monitor configurations.  It actually seemed to happen more often with one monitor than with two.
    >Ran all updates in Windows
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
I checkec GeForce website about this Graphic Card information and found its latest driver was released at Thu Jan 22, 2015. I just want to confirm have you tried this latest driver for test? In case this is driver compatbility problem, it would be better
to use the latest driver for test.
On the other hand, please make sure other hardware driver, such as motherboard firmware to be latest.
If problem persists, if your computer contains another integrated graphics, please try to disable it in BIOS settings for test.

  • Multiple video displays

    Hi,
I'm looking at different methods of sychronizing multiple
videos accross multiple displays and wondered if the best way to do
this would be via flash video of a media centre streaming to
seperate machines and their displays, could anybody advise me on
    this.
    Thanks in Advance
    Jack

With the new Mac Pro 2009-03 models, Quad-Core Intel Xeon.
Is it possible to run eight Apple Cinema Display 30" monitors?
    Yes.
This would require four single-slot Video Cards with two Dual-DVI outputs each.
The default NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB card has one Dual-DVI and one single DVI, so it would not do the job.
No. It has one dual-link DVI port and one Mini DisplkayPort. With a Dual-Link Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter it can run two 30" displays.
    <http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB571Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=MjkyNjI0Mg>
Likewise with the ATI Radeon HD 4870.
It also can run two 30" displays when used with the adapter, but it uses too much power to use with three other cards.
So what Video cards would be specified?
Four NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 or ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT. You could also use three of these cards and one GeForce 8800GT. It has to be the one made for the 2008 Mac Pro (and is no longer being sold).
    Is this even possible?
    Yes.
And is there enough power supply available for four such video cards?
Yes. Apple sells (sold) systems with four of these cards.
I understand the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT Graphics 256MB GDDR3 is not compatible with the new systems, and it only offers one Dual-DVI & one Single-DVI port.
No and no. It is compatible, and has two dual-link DVI ports.

  • Will Thunderbolt allow multiple external displays?

The news about Thunderbolt mentions the ability to "daisy chain" up to 6 devices to the port.
Have there been any details released about the potential of driving multiple external monitors with Thunderbolt?
I have two 24" monitors that I'd like to use instead of the laptop display, but the Mini-Displayport only allows for a single external monitor (and yes, I've tried using both Dell's Multi Monitor Hub and Matrox's DualHead2Go devices with no luck).

What about this on the thunderbolt/mbp page?
    http://www.apple.com/au/macbookpro/performance.html
"Thunderbolt technology has arrived — and MacBook Pro is the first notebook to have it. Now one connection carries both DisplayPort and PCI Express. With two 10-Gbps data channels, you can transfer data more than 12 times faster than with FireWire 800. And don’t worry about a single drive or peripheral tying up the Thunderbolt port: You can daisy-chain up to six devices, +*including up to two high-resolution displays.3*+ So with one tiny, streamlined port, you get lightning-fast transfer speeds and huge expansion capabilities."
The little *3 at the bottom of the page in fine print says:
"+The 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pro support two displays; the 13-inch MacBook Pro supports one display.+"
How do we connect two displays, though?

  • Script external subroutine for multiple fileds display

    Hi,
    can anybody tell
how to write external subroutine in script.
i want to display multiple fields data in script by using external subroutine.
    Regards,
    Kumar.

    HI,
You can use the PERFORM command to call an ABAP subroutine (form) from any program, subject to the normal ABAP runtime authorization checking. You can use such calls to subroutines for carrying out calculations, for obtaining data from the database that is needed at display or print time, for formatting data, and so on.
PERFORM commands, like all control commands, are executed when a document is formatted for display or printing. Communication between a subroutine that you call and the document is by way of symbols whose values are set in the subroutine.
    Syntax in a form window:
    /: PERFORM <form> IN PROGRAM <prog>
    /: USING &INVAR1&
    /: USING &INVAR2&
    /: CHANGING &OUTVAR1&
    /: CHANGING &OUTVAR2&
    /: ENDPERFORM
INVAR1 and INVAR2 are variable symbols and may be of any of the four SAPscript symbol types.
OUTVAR1 and OUTVAR2 are local text symbols and must therefore be character strings.
The ABAP subroutine called via the command line stated above must be defined in the ABAP report prog as follows:
FORM <form> TABLES IN_TAB STRUCTURE ITCSY
    OUT_TAB STRUCTURE ITCSY.
    ENDFORM.
    Definition in the SAPscript form:
/: PERFORM GET_BARCODE IN PROGRAM QCJPERFO
    /: USING &PAGE&
    /: USING &NEXTPAGE&
    /: CHANGING &BARCODE&
    /: ENDPERFORM
