Multiple ARD Installs with a Common Computer List

We have 4 administrators in our tech support group who have installations of ARD. Is there anyway to have a common list of computers that all 4 administrators could share? The only way I am seeing is to create the list on one system then export it out and import on the other 3 installs. This works for the initial setup but every time we add another supported system we would have to make sure all 4 ARD setups got updated.
So is there a way to have a shared list?

Have you confirmed that the appropriate ports (TCP and UDP 3283 and 5900) are open and correctly forwarded in any router on your parent's end?

    I have a site call HR ePortal with more than 1 SharePoint-Hosted Apps. These apps having list and workflow. Can I maintain a Common Task List in HR ePortal Site for all Apps? If this is possible where I have to maintain the each Apps List, inside the
    Apps solution or should create each Apps list in the site. 
    If I maintain the Task List in site , is it possible to create workflow with that Task List using visual studio 2012?

    Yes, you can maintain common task list for apps and it is better to put the apps list in the site and you can access these easily from the app code.
    Regarding workflow, yes you can create workflows using visual studio with the common task list.

  • Issue with multiple application installation and server share

    Hi,
    SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 ICP2
    All servers W2K8R2
    I am having an issue with software installs.  When using a variable for multiple applciation installs, I get access errors when the applications go to install.  It appears to be a multiple connection issue, but I can't figure out why.
    I am using server shares for my DPs.  The proper permissions are set.  The servers (DP) are W2K8R2.  I think it has to do with the way R2 handles the conenctions.  I want to know if this is a known issue or if anyone has come accross
    it.

    Hi! I'm waking up this dead thread but I've got a *very* similar problem!
    I've got a SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 installation on Win2008.  All clients are in the same ConfigMgr-site. Multiple package deploy in the same site-boundary as the CM-server works excellent. (We've got  three DPs in the same site-boundary as the
    CM-server itself.)
    Now, we have a new site-boundary with it's own Protected DP where multiple package deploy fails
    but the same packages, being run from the task-sequnce works! So then the client can download, install and run the packages from the proteced DP just fine. All "single" packages install fine before the "Multiple Appliaction"-step.
    I've tripple checked that we're running the same packages when we're installing Multiple Packages as we do in the Task-Sequence. And
    the same Task-sequence with the Multiple Package installation step
    works fine in our site-boundary where the ConfigMgr-server is installed.

    I know that the TS checks package dependencies before executing the TS. That's not possible with Multiple packages since they are variable dependant. I think this is somehow related although it doesn't explain why my client can't authenticate properly.
    The Network Access Account is a member of Domain Users and Domain Users have Read Access on the share and on the folder of the VAXCMDP01 DP - which should be identically configured to our other DPs closest to our ConfigMgr Server.
    Any ideas?

    Yes, multiple iPhones can sync with a single computer. I do not know the limit, probably harddrive space of the computer. Just open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer, select iPhone in left column of iTunes, click Sync button of iTunes. When done, connect other iPhone and repeat steps. You can keep the iPhones information different and always separate or you can restore them from the same back-up and keep them similar.

    We have four separate iPhones with four separate contact list but one family apple ID.  If we back each device up to the cloud using the same apple ID will it keep the lists separate?

    You can share the same Apple ID for purchasng form the iTunes and app stores without any problems, but you should all used separate iCloud accounts with separate Apple IDs.  (You are not required to use the same ID for iCloud and other services as you do for the iTunes store.)  This will prevent you from ending up with merged data.  You should also use separate Apple IDs for iMessage and FaceTime or you will end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.

    I would like to assist you today with resolving the issue of  multiple pages continuously printing from your Windows 7 computer to your HP LaserJet 1022nw Printer. However, in order for me to provide you with accurate support I do need to know how your printer is connected to your Windows 7 computer.
    Normally the continuous printing issues are caused by your router. When you send the print command to your printer from your computer than the print command goes from your computer to your router and finally to the printer. If there is a conflict with your router it may constantly send the signal to the printer to 'print' a job. Or, if the printed text is garbled information and weird symbols that your printer is printing it could be commands from the router to your computer that are improperly being sent to your printer and resulting in a page of weird symbols printing.
    Therefore, it is very important for me to know how your printer is connected to your computer as that will guide us in the what direction we need to be troubleshooting.
    Once I find out how your printer is connected to your computer I will be able to provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to resolve this continuous print issue. I look forward to hearing from you!

    How can I distribute my AIR desktop app for Windows and OS X, with multiple languages in the installer? My app itself is completely localized, but I want the installer to be localized too.   • Multiple independent devices on Single installation with independent monthly rental charges

    4 Independent single register based devices installed (Tech+ Billing) in a single installation with same time slice. There is only monthly rental charges for each independent meter. No meter reading required and NO consumption charges. I believe we can do this scenario. Can anybody advise for any consequences?
    Note: number of devices can change from 2/3/4.

    How are you going to satisfy the meter read orders to make it billable without entering the meter reads? If you do not need any meter read, can't you use any flat rate / time dependent prices? The amount output will be same but you will not be using any settle* variant program. You may use any Lumsum* variant program. If you do not use the devices for entering meter read, do you have any requirement of installing the devices with the utility installation?

  • Why Toshiba notebooks are not delivered with the common Vista install CD

    Our household now has two x Toshiba laptops, both of which were supplied with MS Vista Home Premium pre-installed.
    The nature of the Recovery Media provided with these machines is such that (a) we do not have sufficient flexibility over volume/partition sizes, program locations etc., and, more specifically.
    It makes it necessary for the majority of the bundled software (Norton Security etc.,) to be installed by default in the event of a system failure. (And immediately uninstalled following recovery! An unnecessary waste of time.)
    Bearing in mind that a proportion of the price paid for each laptop must have included a cost for the Vista Operating System, does anyone know if it is possible to obtain a Master Recovery disk which ONLY consists of the operating system, and which allows us the flexibility of configuration which used to be available when the OS was purchased as a separate product.
    Additionally, please let me know if it is possible to purchase Toshiba laptops as a RAW machine, i.e no OS supplied, and I will then buy my own and cut out the rubbish which is supplied on the pre-installed media.

    The answer is very simple: software is bundled to hardware and when you buy notebook you buy license for preinstalled Vista version and you can install recovery media so often you want and it belongs JUST to your notebook model. It cannot be used with other notebook or PCs.
    If you get usual Vista installations DVD it can be installed on each computer system. For such purposes you must buy Microsoft installations DVD.
    As you already wrote Toshiba recovery image contains much software that can be not useful for you. You can remove it from the system and nobody force you to use them. I do the same.
    After clean OS installation the first thing I do is to remove or software I don't need or I don't like.
    I optimise preinstalled OS on my own.

  • ARD 3.7 losing computers from lists

    I can not seem to get computers to stay in a list I have created.  I watch two labs and have a list for each one.  If the computer is off or not seen ARD 3.7 removes the computer from the list for that lab.
    Previous ARD would not remove computers from the lab lists.
    ARD 3.7 (stand alone purchase 3.3 updated with incremental updates to 3.7 as they have come out)

    Can anyone else confirm this or is it just me?  I've reproduced this on several machines now.  I also disovered that if you change the view preferences after you have the observe window open with some fiddling and luck you can end up getting it to display all the machines it's supposed to be showing, but when you back it down to less machines that it should be showing the bug jumps back up.
    I really wish I could downgrade here, curses to you Apple for an only semi-functional App Store
    I wonder how long we're going to have to wait for a bug fix on this one, ARD releases have been very very far apart for the last few years
