Multiple arrange tracks for the same instance of a plugin?
Is this possible? I am using DMXIS, a DMX lighting plugin. It's great but I need to run dozens of tracks of automation at the same time. I know I can drop down as many automation tracks as I want but it is confusing that their labling does not reflect the tasks I have given them. Instead of the automation track reading "channel 76", I want it to say "red light, stage right" or whatever. It would help me enormously if I could have a single track, labled differently, for each automation task. Or, almost as good, Can I change the names of the plugin paramaters, as they apear in the automation, so that they tell me what I want to know rather than the name the plugin has given to each paramater?
Yeah I got used to being able to add multiple listeners from working with ActionScript 3 and it was a bit off-putting when I noticed the same feature was not in JavaFX. Thankfully I have not yet been blocked by this issue, but it seems if I was I could get similar functionality by creating a mixin class that stores a map of Sequences of functions by event type. This mixin would also have a function to call all the functions for a given event in order. Then you could just have your event target class extend the mixin and assign the event chaining function as your event function. This gives you a way to add / remove event functions through the mixin interface and not have to know about the specific type of your target.
The situation complicates when you want all the stuff that comes with a full-blown event stack like being able to cancel propagation, etc., but you could also implement these things with a bit more effort

SSO for multiple APEX applications on the same instance
Hi All,
We have an APEX instance with 2 applications configured in 2 workspaces.
The instance is already configured to use SSO. I have followed thee Metalink note #562807.1 to do the SSO wiring.
We are planning to incorporate SSO authentication for both the applications.
Also planning to use different URLs (2 aliases for the server) for the applications.
eg:-
App1 will be using http://app1.us.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=100:10
App2 will be using http://app2.us.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=200:10
Is it possible to register SSO on 2 URLs for the same instance?
Can I execute regapp.sql multiple times on the same instance?
Please advice me.
Thanks,
SajeeshIs it possible to register SSO on 2 URLs for the same instance?You should be able to register as many partner applications as you like. I suggest that you try it.
Can I execute regapp.sql multiple times on the same instance?Yes, but the lsnr_token value must be unique. That's HTML_DB:hostname:port.
Your applications in different workspaces will not be able to share sessions but you will probably get the single-sign-on behavior you need.

Same material can exist on multiple line items for the same order.
Hi
Is there any specific customising setting or web shop setting through which we can restrict user to add same material on multiple line items for the same order ?
RegardsNo.
But if this is a must requirement, you can do an elaborate check during order save in ORDER_SAVE BAdI and return error. So, it will be only during order save.

Multiple shipping addresses for the same supplier (depending on the symbol)
Hello ,can we set up multiple shipping addresses for the same supplier (depending on the symbol)?
.& How..
Thanksa delivery adedress has nothing to do with a certain supplier, except you are talking about subcontracting (do you?)
a delivery address specifies an address where you want the supplier to send the goods to.
if it is a third party PO, then the delivery address is derived from ship-to partner of the sales order.
in case of a standard order to stock, the delivery address is coming from the storage location address (if maintained). if no storage location address is maintained, then SAP takes the address from your plant.
You can manually add a delivery address in MEAN transaction and then manually assign in POs delivery address tab.
here you can as well take the address from any address already in your system (e.g. any customer or vendor). -

UWL - System doesnt support multiple tasks assignment for the same assignee
Hi all,

<i>System does not support multiple tasks assignment for the same assignee</i>

For example: User can only assign one task to an assignee at a time in workflow.

Is substitution only limited to one task per person? What would be a workaround? It's possible to create for each combination of tasks a definition in the back- end which is available from the substition drop down list, but this is not what our customer would like to see.

E4200 v2 - Uses multiple MAC addresses for the same device
This unit seems pretty good at first but on looking at the Web interface I noticed that it was using multiple mac addresses for the same device and showing devices on the lan on the Wireless side and other odd things.
After a week of running it the home server network started to get erratic, it would seem to all point to dns and dhcp issues in the router.
Seems the V1 had the same issues that they did not fix on this.
The Cisco connect software shows 5 devices the Web based utility shows 3??.
Its pretty bad that they charge nearly $200 and cannot be bothered to finish the unit or address the issues that were in V1.I am afraid I didn't get the clear picture of the issue mentioned in the post. Could you please elaborate a little bit? If you connect a device/computer wired and then later you connect it wirelessly. It is obvious that you would get to see two different MAC addresses for the same device, one for the LAN adaptor and other one for WLAN adaptor. If that is what you are referring to?
Secondly, may I know, what issues did you face with DNS and DHCP in the router? Is it not able to resolve the DNS or something else or DHCP is not sending IP address to the clients? -
How to configure multiple listeners to listen for the same instance.
Hello everyone,
I am running oracle database 11g and I want information regarding how to configure multiple listeners to listen for the same database instance. Actually I know how to configure more than one listener but the main thing that I am confused about is when we create listener.ora file, do we have to statically register the database instance with both the listeners or the instance will register itself with both the listeners.
According to my knowledge the instance will register with the listener specified by LOCAL_LISTENER parameter and we cannot have more than one value for this parameter.
Please only give detailed answers with example as I am tired of simple answers with details that I already know.Hello,
Yes, it can make sense to have several listener for one Oracle instance. For instance you may have one listener for the applications another listener for DBA administration tasks as well as one listener dedicated to dataguard broker. It is not possible to have several listeners listening on the same IP and Port.
By default the database try to automatically register to a listener on port 1521. To instruct the instance to register to a specifc list of listeners you can add in the init.ora the local_listener parameter with an alias definition:
i.e
local_listener=MY_SET_OFF_LISTENERS
in your tnsname.ora add an entry called:
MY_SET_OFF_LISTENERS_LOCAL= (ADDRESS_LIST=
(ADRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=myhostname)(PORT=1530))
(ADRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=myhostname)(PORT=1531))
(ADRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=myhostname)(PORT=1532))
In this sample your instance will register to three listeners listening on respectively port 1530, 1531 and 1532
If you want your clients can be balanced over the 3 listeners -
How do I use multiple local workspaces for the same website in VS2013?
For quite some time I've been using VS2010 with multiple workspaces mapped from the same TFS branch to test different variants of a website in parallel. The internal web server (Cassini) seems quite happy to run multiple versions and simply maps a new port
number for the second and subsequent instances that start up.
We are now looking to move to VS2013, so have to use IISExpress since the 'internal' web server is no longer provided.
How do I configure things so that if I open a single workspace, IISExpress runs against that workspace using the default port number (specified in the solution), but if I open a second instance in a different workspace it correctly uses a new port number
and working folder. Do I need to invoke IISExpress using the command line (presumably from each workspace) and specify the relevant defaults or is there some way to enter this in the local config file for IISExpress?
My initial attempt at editing to config file resulted in the 2nd and subsequent instance using the same physicalfolder as the first instance, presumably because the speficied site name and port number are the same!Hello,
Thank you for your post.
I am afraid that the issue is out of support range of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses

Dear experts,
awrsqrpt.sql is showing multiple executions plans for a single SQL statement. How is it possible that one SQL statement will have multiple Executions Plans within the same AWR report.If you're using bind variables and you've histograms on your columns which can be created by default in 10g due to the "SIZE AUTO" default "method_opt" parameter of DBMS_STATS.GATHER__STATS it is quite normal that you get different execution plans for the same SQL statement. Depending on the values passed when the statement is hard parsed (this feature is called "bind variable peeking" and enabled by default since 9i) an execution plan is determined and re-used for all further executions of the same "shared" SQL statement.
If now your statement ages out of the shared pool or is invalidated due to some DDL or statistics gathering activity it will be re-parsed and again the values passed in that particular moment will determine the execution plan. If you have skewed data distribution and a histogram in place that reflects that skewness you might get different execution plans depending on the actual values used.
Since this "flip-flop" behaviour can sometimes be counter-productive if you're unlucky and the values used to hard parse the statement leading to a plan that is unsuitable for the majority of values used afterwards, 11g introduced the "adaptive" cursor sharing that attempts to detect such a situation and can automatically re-evaluate the execution plan of the statement.

Oracle Coherence*Web and BlazeDS: Multiple FlexSessions created for the same HttpSession
Hi all,
I have searched this forum and found a lot of good information from Alex Glosband and others about the infamous "Detected duplicate HTTP - based FlexSessions, generally due to the remote host disabling session cookies. Session coolkies must be enable to manage the client connection correctly." message.
It seems, however, none of the cases are identical to ours. This is ours:
- Resin 3.1.9
- Oracle Coherence 3.7.1 with Coherence*Web (session replication)
With this setup we get the "Detected duplicate HTTP..." message on the first attempt to use BlazeDS and on every subsequent call. The same client and server code works fine in a local sessions setup. With Coherence 3.3 (currently our production environment) it seems to occur less frequently, but still as frequent as it is a major issue for us. It fails even with a single node using in-process distributed caching in our test setup (as well as with multi node out of process caching in our staging environment, for Coherence knowledgeable the resin app server runs with tangosol.coherence.session.localstorage=true in the first case and false in the second).
Both the listener and message broker are mapped as "Coherence aware" in web.xml[1] so that they should use clustered sessions.
We have been digging a bit and we found out that if we commented out lines 427 and 434 of flex.messaging.endpoints.BaseHTTPEndpoint from version 4.0.0.14931 it seems to mask the bug. We added some logging in the setupFlexClient method and it seems that we get more or less a new FlexSession for each and every call - but they have the same cookie and thus underlying HttpSession. I.e. the list returned from flexClient.getFlexSessions() keeps growing. Thus we are not so keen on going to production with that memory leak and the above mentioned ugly hack of commenting out the detection of duplicates.
We use request scope for the remote object, but could in theory use any scope as we do not really have any state on the object itself, it is all HttpSession state and return values that are key (logon is performed prior to doing the first blaze call, in pure forms and ajax, and it is not a timing issue in that regard we are seeing).
Hope someone can shed some light on what can be happening. Is there any "reference testing"[2] or something when the FlexSessions are created that makes them being created as new? Where are they created? We do not know the inner workings of the BlazeDS source, we just watched the call trace of the unwanted invalidation and found that to be line 427 of flex.messaging.endpoints.BaseHTTPEndpoint.
Can we disable FlexSessions? Since the flex and plain html parts of the app share the sessions, we always use FlexContext.getHttpRequest().getSession() anyway, never storing any state directly in the FlexSession or on the remote object. Or maybe there is a config option to help us with this detection (or creation) of multiple FlexSessions?
Cheers and TIA,
-S-
[1] - For instance, this i the message broker servlet def:
<servlet>
<servlet-name>MessageBrokerServlet</servlet-name>
<display-name>MessageBrokerServlet</display-name>
<servlet-class>com.tangosol.coherence.servlet.api22.ServletWrapper</servlet-class>
<init-param>
<param-name>coherence-servlet-class</param-name>
<param-value>flex.messaging.MessageBrokerServlet</param-value>
</init-param>
<init-param>
<param-name>services.configuration.file</param-name>
<param-value>/WEB-INF/flex/services-config.xml</param-value>
</init-param>
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
</servlet>
[2] - As you undertstand this is speculation based on pure air, but it could be that in Coherence there was a serialization/deserialization happening somehow that would break such a test?Just a quick update, it seems things are running in a stable fashion (and without visible memory leaks, just keeping the latest FlexSession) with these changes in BaseHTTPEndpoint:
* Overrides to guard against duplicate HTTP-based sessions for the same FlexClient which will occur if the remote host has disabled session
* cookies.
* @see AbstractEndpoint#setupFlexClient(String)
@Override
public FlexClient setupFlexClient(String id) {
log.debug("setupFlexClient start id " + id);
FlexClient flexClient = super.setupFlexClient(id);
// Scan for duplicate HTTP-sessions and if found, invalidate them and throw a MessageException.
// A request attribute is used to deal with batched AMF messages that arrive in a single request by trigger multiple passes through this
// method.
boolean duplicateSessionDetected = (FlexContext.getHttpRequest().getAttribute(REQUEST_ATTR_DUPLICATE_SESSION_FLAG) != null);
if (!duplicateSessionDetected) {
List<FlexSession> sessions = flexClient.getFlexSessions();
log.debug("Client has " + sessions.size() + " sessions.");
int n = sessions.size();
if (n > 1) {
int count = 0;
for (int i = 0; i < n; i++) {
if (sessions.get(i) instanceof HttpFlexSession)
count++;
if (count > 1) {
FlexContext.getHttpRequest().setAttribute(REQUEST_ATTR_DUPLICATE_SESSION_FLAG, Boolean.TRUE);
duplicateSessionDetected = true;
break;
// If more than one was found, remote host isn't using session cookies. Kill all duplicate sessions and return an error.
// Simplest to just re-scan the list given that it will be very short, but use an iterator for concurrent modification.
int i = 0;
if (duplicateSessionDetected) {
List<FlexSession> sessions = flexClient.getFlexSessions();
log.debug("Detected sessions from client: " + sessions);
for (FlexSession session : sessions) {
if (session instanceof HttpFlexSession && i < sessions.size()) {
// log.debug("----> sessionId: " + session.getId());
// Enumeration e1 = session.getAttributeNames();
// while (e1.hasMoreElements()) {
// Object key = e1.nextElement();
// log.debug("--------->" + key + "--------->" + session.getAttribute((String) key));
// session.invalidate();
flexClient.sessionDestroyed(session);
i++;
// Return an error to the client.
// DuplicateSessionException e = new DuplicateSessionException();
// e.setMessage(ERR_MSG_DUPLICATE_SESSIONS_DETECTED);
// throw e;
return flexClient;
It is not exactly beautiful (to say the least), but if it does the trick I might just be pragmatic enough to go with it... NB: I am of course not proposing this as a patch to this file or anything, it is just an ugly hack for our specific case, but maybe the information can help the BlazeDS team find the root cause making it incompatible with Coherence*Web.
Will give it a test run on our staging servers. -
Multiple Inst tracks recorded @ the same time
I AM TRYIN TO RECORD TWO INST TRACKS AT THE SAME TIME USING TWO SEPERATE MIDI DEVICES. IS THIS POSSIBLE, AND IF SO HOW IS IT DONE ?
THANKYOU.Ok, let's try step-by-step.
I'm assuming you already have in the arrange window two instrument tracks for Inst1 and Inst2 such that you can play/record each instrument individually.
Now proceed as follows
1. Open the environment and choose the Audio layer. From the New menu choose the Channel Splitter. It appears on the window. Make sure that its Icon box is checked in the parameter box. Then draw cables from output1 to Inst1 and output2 to Inst2.
2. Open the arrange window. Create a new track. Click and hold the track name, from the popup menu select (Channel Splitter). Voila, now we have the channel splitter track!
3. Make sure the channel splitter track is selected.
4. Make sure your midi devices are sending on midi channels 1 and 2.
Now you should be able to play and record both devices at the same time. The recorded notes will first appear on the channel splitter track. After recording select the region and apply 'Demix by Event Channel'. This will create two new tracks containing the recorded notes of each instrument. For playback drag both regions to the original instrument tracks.
Good luck! Feel free to ask if something doesn't work as expected. -
Multiple info records for the same material record in the catalog
Hi Guys,
I have got sort of a puzzle I can not solve at the moment, maybe some one can help me to solve it. The situation in our system landscape is as follows:
Systems:
SRM 5.0 (Classic implementation scenario)
ECC 6.0
SRM-MDM 2.0
PI 2005
Material master is maintained in R/3 and the materials are replicated to SRM. From SRM we replicate all materials to the catalog repository in SRM-MDM.
As the material master in R/3 is vendor independent, the materials replicated to SRM also have no vendor attached. For the first initial material replication from SRM to the catalog SRM-MDM this also means that the products in the main table of the repository, u2018catalog positionsu2019, will not have a vendor or vendor number attached (i.e. no reference to a source of supply).
To assign a source of supply in the repository to a product (record) we will use info records which are replicated from R/3 to SRM-MDM. The mapping for this in the Import Manager can only be based on the product number. As this is the only unique value available which can map a info record to a already existing (but vendor less) ptoduct item in the catalog.
As long as every item in the repository has only one unique info record, meaning one source of supply with a specific price, there is no issue in the above scenario. Based on the product-id, the info record data will be matched with the material item in the catalog.
The issue for me arises when multiple info records exists for the same material. The info records can heave different vendors and different prices. All possible vendors should be available in the catalog for the same material (at least this is the requirement ).
At this point the product-id will no longer be an unique value. Importing the info records will cause problems, as only one material record is available in the repository for the specific product-id (remember that when doing a initial replication of the material master to the catalog, no vendor data is replicated).
Does anyone had this issue before, and knows a solution? Is it for example possible during the import of the info records in the Import manager, to duplicate material records in the destination data, based on the number of info records available in the source data for the same product-id. Or is there an other solution that I am missing?
Your help would be appreciated!

Support for Multiple Hierarchies defined for the same GL Segment
Hi,
In our eBS setup, we have multiple hierarchies defined for a GL Segment.
OOTB, BI Apps 7.9.6.3 provides support for 10 Segments, and it's corresponding Hierarchies (1 Hierarchy for each Segment).
My question here is whether OOTB BI Apps 7.9.6.3 supports Multiple Hierarchies for the same Segment?+
Thanks,
Abno it is not supported OOTB as of today
you need to customize ETL mappings and OBIEE metadata to include hierarchy identifiers from the EBS segment definitions.
Then you have to consider that filtering a hierarchy identifier becomes mandatory during query execution to avoid aggregation of duplicated values.
