Multiple article select in Folio Producer [Add] article feature

Folio Producer provides [Add] article feature allow designer collaborative workflow, thanks.
I just completed adding articles from several shared folios, I would like to say, select multiple articles in folio is a MUST to make DPS sharing collaborative workflow effective. My folio based on 50 articles from several shared folios, takes me about half an hour to finish !!
Any suggestion to select multiple article from shared folio, and add to working folio is mostly welcome.

At the current time there is not a mechanism to update multiple articles simultaneously. This is an often made request, however.

Article automatically closes after updating the article in the folio builder?

For some reason, every time I update an article in the folio builder, the article closes automatically - this is extremely annoying because I like to keep all articles open while working and hate that every time I update, I must reopen it. It seems to be a setting but I've searched preferences etc and can't find any setting to turn this off?

It is only happening with a particular folio yes (my ipad rendition in particular). Other folios update and do not close the updating article.
I'm using the latest cloud version of InDesign - whichever one in the creative cloud app that's currently running. And I use Mac.
I reset the preferences as you suggested but it is still closing the article - it's very strange because it only does it with that particular folio. At least it only does it with that folio or I'd pull my hair out haha

Not seeing thumbnails of pages in Folio Producer

For some reason, I am not seeing any breakdown of the articles in the Folio Producer. Anyone know why? This is all that I see...

As Lohrii mentions thumbnail preview is not supported on PDF articles, uploading the articles as PNG/JPEG will show the thumbnails.

Strange error when attempting to add an article to the Folio Builder

I've just installed the trial of InDesign 5.5 along with the Digital Publishing Suite.
I've followed the instructions to add an article to the Folio Builder but I am continually greeted with this error:
Not sure what I am doing wrong, the document is set at 1024x768 and it's the first article I've tried to create. It's very simple, just a single image and some text.
I've tried installing on a seperate machine but I get the same error.
Any help would be appreciated.

In some instances, InDesign isn't recognizing the new tools. To fix, restore InDesign preferences:
(Windows) Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
(Mac OS) While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

Missing Articles in Folio Producer

I'm working on my first multi-folio app (Enterprise account) and I've built my folio and added articles in the Folio Builder panel in InDesign. Now I'm in the Folio Producer: Editor and none of my articles are showing up. The names I've given each article in the article properties are there, but no article thumbnail.
What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to publish it. It's a free, public app.
I will delete the folio and try again.
What I have done so far is:
Created the folio and article in InDesign
Enrolled in iOS Developer program
Created certificates
Tested certificates
Registered my test iPads
Created an App ID
Created mobileprovision files
Created required assets (icons, splash pages, etc.)
Built the app with DPS app builder
Downloaded the .ipa file
Installed it on my iPad
Opened the app icon on my iPad, all I see is the splash page and then this:

Why the Folio Producer update every article each time ?

I have remarked that the Folio Producer publish every article on the distribution server even if there's no update.
Before, the Folio Producer updated only articles which were modified by the folio builder.

It's a pain. For some reason I have 2979 Genius items that sync every time. It takes a half hour over wireless. WHY? I can't find an answer.

Trying to add article to folio

i have a new mac 10.75
and the latest version of adobe indesign cs6
i cant seem to add an article to a folio
if i try to import the file the .indd files are greyed out
if i try to add the open document it says "an error has ocured while updating article layouts the indesign file for the layout cannot be found please relink the article to the source file
i have them all in the same folder and have not moved them or changed them
any ideas

Did you actually create a folio first?
When you use the import command you must browse to the folder containing the InDesign file, not the file itself.

Duplicate all articles into another folio

Right now you can only import articles one at a time from one folio into another folio. This is tedious on 100 article folios.
There are a few scenarios where it would be helpful to be able to one-click duplicate a folio into another account, or have the ability to select all articles when doing the "add article":
Building a different version (ie International version) of said folio in a different account. (We do this every month, with renditions, so that's 2x the pain.)
For troubleshooting purposes. When a production folio exhibits a bug, I need to copy that folio into a sandbox account where it won't be edited/updated so that I can provide TS reps with a folio exhibiting the behavior.

When you save the files, include _v and _h suffixes in the filenames if you want to import articles. For example add an _v suffix for the vertical (portrait) document, such as article_v.indd.

I'm struggling adding articles to my folio. The "New"-button in the folio builder to add articles, is greyed out. I have two InDesign-documents open. One horizontal and one vertical. Do I miss something?

Another possible cause based on a resolution I found with another cusotmer. This customer had a working install of InDesign and the Folio Producer tools when he left on vacation. When he came back, he did not. It turned out that his IT had converted his user account on his Mac to be a Managed Mobile account, synching their data to a new network volume named "Users". When he unmounts that volume, all his Folio Panel activities returned to normal. To see if you have a Managed, or Managed Mobile account, open the System Preferences and choose the Accounts pane. Look at the description under your account. Here is what a Managed Mobile account looks like:
Managed accounts have the ability to be restricted in many ways. One of those restrictions could be preventing the application from reading/writing to the CS<N>ServiceManager folder refernced in my earlier post. Again, if you find this to be the case, consult with your IT. You may need to revert to a non-Managed account to have the Folio Builder panel operate correctly, until your IT can ensure normal user/library file access.

Smooth Scrolling : folio size VS article size

I'd like to create a smooth scrolling article just like in DPS TIPS "Effects" by Bob Bringhurst.
I follow the steps from the article but it does not work.
What I want to to is to have a 1024*768 (horizontal only) folio that includes articles that may be longer than 768 height (let's say 1024*2000).
If I create a 1024*768 FOLIO and import articles that are 1024*2000
i cannot upload because it says :
Error generating content.
[Error: The proportions of the page size must match the folio.]
If I create a 1024*2000 (example) FOLIO and then import articles that are exactly 1024*2000
- it works (well I can upload) but i can only import articles that have the exact dimensions of the folio, the DPS TIPS says "you can mix and match Smooth Scrolling and non sooth scrolling articles in a folio".
And then the problem is I never ever see the folio on my Content Viewer on the iPad then.
I can only see it it the Folio Producer.
There's a point that says "You cannot create horizontal smooth scrolling article, the workaround is to create scrollable frames, which can now include interactive overlays"
What bugs me is that in the example we can see an Horizontal Smooth Scrolling (1024*2000 just like in my examples and tests)
If the only workaround is to cretae scrollables frames, I'll do so but maybe I just missed something ?

How to sort articles inside a folio?

I'm working with basic Acrobat account, and before I could sort the articles inside my folios, but now I can't.
I follow this steps;
Open my Acrobat account and I select the work space that correspond to the folio that I want to modify. After I make double click in the folio file and I select open document or open document in the new window, but this file never open (always show me loading icon).

Has anyone ever received an error message that says "There are -1 articles in the folio and you have reached the -1 article maximum allowed." I'm not sure why I'm getting this message or what to do. Any advice?

I'm trying to add any article to any shared folio, and I'm unable to do so.
I'm working on a new folio, and I wanted to start populating it with articles so I tried to add an article and I received the error message saying that I've reached my limit. But it seems unusual that I'm getting that, especially since the limit it mentions is "-1 articles." I've never seen this error before.
I've tried deleting entire folios that had about 20 articles within them and it still sends me the same message.
I have noticed that I am able to upload articles to an offline folio... but I don't think that's helpful to me right now.

Ad articles to a folio with a single edition license

I want to make a digital magazine with only one folio and publish on apps store and google play.
What im not shure is if i can ad articles to that folio with a single edition license or i need other lind of license.

You can have as many articles as you want but you can't publish single edition for anything but iPad. No Android.

Link to an article in another folio and favoriting pages

Is it possible to create a hyperlink to another folio in the same app? The navto:// command links to another article but only in the same folio, or any article in the app?
Also, i`ve been told that it would be possible to favorite a page in the folio, but I`ve never seen that, does anyone know about this?
I heard that these would be new features it would be possible but I didn`t find anywhere how to do this.

Hello Bob,
It seems there's a text discrepancy in the Advanced Linking article of the Advanced Overlays folio. The first button in the upper left says "Page 4 of Hyperlinks Article in Basic Overlays", however the name of the issue/folio in the library is "Overlay Basics". The text below the button reads, "Jump to page 4 of an article in the Advanced Overlays folio.", however it should say "Basic Overlays" or "Overlay Basics" shouldn't it? I'm not trying to be a nitpicker, but it could be confusing for newer folks.
