Multiple Batch / Delivery Note Split

I was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for creating multiple batches / lot numbers for a material and also doing a batch split on the delivery note.
thanks!

Hi,
2 ways to have the batch assignment to material.
1-- Define the batch normally without classification in the masterial master. The code of the batch should be finalized & production when confirm the activities or production declaration,so when doing GR by PP they specify the multiple batch for the material.
During dispatch you can dispatch the material with the multiple batch split in the delivery, for this you can use the user exit for delivery order to have batch split in same line item.
2--- Define the batch with the classification in the material master. In this case you have to make the configuartion for the batch determination & stock check using the batch with the classification.

  • Quality Certificate Issue with multiple batchs with same delivery note

    Hi,
    Hi,
    My Company Business Process:
Quality certificates are generated prior to the good receipt through IDOC process.
When we  receive the goods, GR should look for existing quality certificates and trasnfer the inspection results to inspection lot.
When we are trying to receive for single batch & delivery note, It is looking for existing quality certificates. There is no problem in this senario.
But when we receive the multiple batchs with the same delivery note, system is generating new quality certificates. It is not looking for existing QC which got generated through IDOC process. This is the actual proble.
Note: I am not sure is standard SAP does not supprot  to receive the multiple batchs with the same delivery note or not at the time of GR. Please advise me.
    Thanks,
    Suman

In data origin in certificate profile SAP supports " mix the origins within a characteristic. For example, the results data can originate from an inspection and the specification data can originate from batch determination."
Now here question arises Is batch determination of one batch or multiple bacthes took place against a single delivery note.
As per my understnading it should be one batch with is supported in std SAP.

  • Error while selecting Multiple batchs in Delivery

    Dear All,
I am facing a problem while selecting multiple batches for single item while creating delivery. It gives me Error "Item Category not defined for Batches".
But if i select one batch per delivery it works fine.
    Pls guide me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Shailendra Panhale

    Shailendra,
    1. Even though you do Batch Management Configuration in Logistic General. Item Category that is used should be activated for Batch Split.
    a. In That case IMG --> Logistics Execution --> Shipping --> Deliveries --> Define Item Categories for delivery, Choose the item category you have defined for the process and activate the following indicators
    Relevant for picking,
    St location Required
    Determine storage location and
    Auto Batch Determination Indicator
    b. --> Logistics Execution --> Shipping --> Deliveries --> Define Item Category determination in deliveries
Maintain it accordingly Delivery type(ZLF) + Item category(NORM) + Usage(CHSP - Batch split)  + Item Category + item Category (ZTAN)
Maintain Copy controls for Delivery to billing accordingly throuh the Tcode  VTFL

  • Printing Qty of Batches on Delivery Notes

    <b>Version</b> : SAP 2007A SP0 PL06
<b>Description of Requirements</b> : Printing Qty of Batches on Delivery Notes
<b>Valid as of :</b> No legal requirements to date
<b>Business needs :</b> When a delivery of an item is filled by multiple batches, it will print the qty of each batch in Stock Units only. We need to be able to print this qty based on the Sales Unit of Measure. We therefore divided the stock qty by the number of unit per sales unit of measure. This works fine if there is only one batch involved, but returns a (0) zero if multiple batches are involved.
<b>Examples:</b> We need to be able to print the batch qty based on the Sales Unit of Measure.
<b>Current Workaround :</b> Either remove the qty altogether or just leave the qty reported stock units.(this is rather confusing for the recipient of the Delivery Note)
<b>Proposed solution :</b> Further enhancements to the Print Layout facility for printing Batches on documents to allow simple calculations of this nature to occur.

    Dear Mr Mendes,
Obviously there is an error related to the warehouse on the first line of the document. Considering the error message I reckon that the information imported refer to a warehouse were there is not enough qty in stock and with batches.
I would recommend to test the issue without using the add on and see if you can add the missing batches through the application (inventory - item management - batches - complete mode).
If you can it means that the issue relates to the add on and therefore something must be changed in its code.
If you have an issue in the application, please run the select query related to batches that you can find in note n. 1250867 and if that query retrieves results, please log a message.

  • Delivery with Multiple Batchs

    Hi all,
My client has requirement while delivery with reference to sales order there want to use multiple batch can we map this functionality in sap
    example
sales order is for 1000 tones but the material available in different batch like batch - 1  500 tones , batch -2 250 tones , batch - 3 250 tones. while creating delivery document we need to used these 3 batch and as per sap standard there is no such functionality to enter multiple batch in delivery
please guide me this functionality can we map in sap
    Thanks
    Rajesh

    HI,
Just remove the batch in the sales order and do delivery here two cases are exist 1.automatic batch split and 2.manual split.
1.suppose if u want automatic split just press the button "batch split" in the line item of delivery then system automatically splits the delivery qty into batches based on availability in batches.
    2. manual split just split the delivery qty 1000 into 3 line items with the require qty to deliver and press F4 in the batch assign here batches manually.
your requirement definately done in standard SAP.
any queries revert back to me.

I am using IDoc type : Delivery03 ,Message type: DESADV
    How to resolve this problem?

  • Split of delivery notes

    Hello forum,
for a customer project there is a requirement, that there is no need for a separate delivery note if the
    plant calender
    currency of the order
    payment term
    are different.
Is it useful to suppress those criteria and where I have to do it?
    Any input is welcome
    Thnak you for your time
    Norbert

    HI,
Generally, difference in VBPA and LIKP table can lead to delivery split.
I checked  LIKP, but I cannot see feilds:
    "plant calender"
    "payment term"
Have you developed any coding to fill LIKP-ZUKRL according to these fields?
For feild "currency of the order", there is this field in LIKP table.
If this feild is not necessary, you can set this feild to blank in copy routine. Then, it won't lead to delivery split.
See note 546668 for more infroamtion.

  • Same batch picked on two different delivery notes

    Hi all,
We have a situation whereby on occasion the same batch of a material is picked by SAP on two different delivery notes.
I'm trying to get to the bottom of why this is happening - from what I can tell this only seems to happen when the initial delivery is PGI'ed after the planned PGI date. i.e. delivery A created on Sep 1st with a planned PGI date of Sep 5th. Actual PGI date turns out to be Sep 7th (two days later). Delivery B created on Sep 6th - SAP picks same batch on delivery B as on delivery A. Delivery B needs to be manually amended with a different batch selection.
Am I correct in saying that SAP standard functionality only allows for the batch to be scheduled for delivery (cannot be picked on another delivery note) up until the planned PGI date? If so, how I can I prevent this from happening?
I need to try to get to the bottom of why this issue is happening.
Any useful answers will be rewarded!
    Many thanks!

you might have selected bacth but not completed picking thats why system allowed another batch selection with same quantity. pIcking reserves the quantity. Hope this will help you.
    Thanks & Regards
    Amit

  • Flag multiple shipments attached to delivery note

    Hello,
I am new to ABAP and would like help in incorporating the logic for the Update rule. Thank you for hearing me out. The functional requirement is that the quantity is counted multiple times when a destination 'X' is involved in the shipping process. When two or more shipment numbers with a shipment type - AAA are attached to a delivery note, a new field needs to be populated for ‘Y’ . The data loads from DSO to Infocube and I need to add a new field/Infoobject in the Infocube and populate the field based on the Update rule logic. Can anyone please help me with the ABAP routine to be included in the Update routine for this?
    Thank you

When two or more shipment numbers with a shipment type - AAA are attached to a delivery note
Functionally what we can do is for a shipment document, we attach multiple deliveries.  This being the case, what you had explained is vice versa.  Hence, can you let me list out the sequence of transaction codes being executed in the above business process since being a functional guy, I would be interested to know this.

  • Batch is not copy from inbound delivery

batch number is enter in inbound delivery but when perform MIGO - Inbound delivery, the batch is not copy over ( shows blank )
    anyone know the reason?

    Hi Sasy,
The vendor batch in the purchase order has preference over the vendor batch in the inbound delivery. The vendor batch in the purchase order is the one which is always updated in MCHA.
If there is not any vendor batch in the purchase order and this is only specified in the inbound delivery then, the system behaviour depends on the transaction used for the posting of the receipt :
If the receipt is posted with the shipping transactions VL31N/VL32N, MCHA-LICHA is updated with the vendor batch in the inbound delivery.
If the receipt is posted with the inventory management transaction MIGO, MCHA-LICHA is not updated. The vendor batch in the inbound delivery is not considered. MCHA-LICHA remains empty.
