Multiple batches for a production order and mapping with components
Hello Gurus,
Our business requires to create multiple batches for one production order + they want to trace which component in the production order has been issued to the main equipment.
For example, I am creating production order for 'A' equipment for 4 qty. Business wants to create 4 different batches for these equipment
Lets say now 4 batches are created A001, A002, A003 and A004.
Now lets assume 2 nos of 'B' component are required for 1no of 'A' component. So the requirement of B component is 8.
Lets say 8 batches are generated B001, B002 ......B008
Now lets say batch B001 and B002 are issued for A001 and packed together. How do we map this?
I understand we can do some enhancement for creating the multiple batches but I still dont know how to map them with each other.

There is a functionality called WIP batches, that allows you keep the batch traceability within an order.
With WIO batches you can track which batch of component was used to produce each batch of finished product.

Yes, as you said one material can have multiple batches, But that same batch cannot be linked with other material. This was my requirement.

IDOC for Creation of Production order and also adding components
Hi ,
I have a requirement like I get the data from a 3rd party system and using that i have to create production orders and also should be able to add more materials in COMPONENTS part of that Production order. I was looking for a BAPI which can handle this process.
And also can any one help me by letting me know is there any Message type available for handling this process of Production order creation and Adding extyra components to it.
I have a message type LOIPRO (for Production Order) and associated function modle CLOI_MASTERIDOC_CREATE_LOIPRO for creation of master IDoc, but not sure can i handle the Components part in this.
Please do send replies ASAP, its very urgent.
Or else atleast suggest me the other ways of doing this .
Also send me any BDC program if anyone has already developed for this.

We need to do goods receipt and then create transfer order for a production order (Material for WM scenario)
We are using BAPI 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE'

We are passing i_items (like line of goodsmvt_item) along with other parameters to BAPI and its creating material document and Transfer order automatically. Problem is the TO created is showing destination storage bin as default storage bin( from material master).
The field goodsmvt_item-stge_bin is just changing the Source bin details. There is no field for bin in the BAPI so that we can change the Destination storage bin as per our requirement.
My requirement : Creating material doc and then TO. Material should move to specified storage bin.
Please let me know any alternate way( No BDC) so that my requirement is achieved.

Batch management in production order for WM managed components
Hi Experts,
Iam having WM managed components in my production order which are batch managed as well. I have to do batch determination for these WM managed components.
I would like to know the steps involved in it and the required configuration.

As far as WM managed components it will still be the same as WM transfer order is created only after goods movement document is posted.

Batch determination in production order for a component

Is there any FM or BAPI which can determine batch for a component in production order and save it. I don't want to use call transaction method for CO02 as this determines batches for all components in production order during saving processHi,
Look at BAPI 'BAPI_MATERIAL_GETBATCHES'. This might help you.....

We trigger batch determination manually for every production order using CO02.
How can I understand whose are the production orders arenu2019t taking place batch determination?
Checking all the production orders is too heavy ?
Does exist a massive transaction (coois or others) where I can select the production orders with components not assigned to the batch ?

In COOIS > In the initial screen select Documented Goods movement in the list Field along with and other selection criteria and run the Report
In the list of orders > Expand corresponding order to view Documented goods movements list with the components with and w/o batch numbers

Is there any process to defined BOM for Subcontracting & production Order separately and how can we make the Bom For Both case ,If it is possible then how can we choose in the production order for in house production and also for subcontracting for purchase order.

After giving 'X' in the procurment type, maintain quota arrange usage as '4'.
Then use T.code meq1, for creating quotas.
Give the material no. & then give validdity date. Double click the validity date, this will take you to another screen.
Here give the procurment type as internal production, the %quota & the prod version in the 'Version field'& then in the second row choose external procurement & choose sub-contracting in the special procurement field, then enter the %quota & prod version in the 'version' field.
After this in T.code omi4 (for lot-size), check if the lot size you use has got a tick in the splitting quota. If not check this indicator & then run mrp. Based on the quota %, pl order & pur req will be created.

I am trying to create a Evaluation Structure with reference to an Evaluation Structure (t-code MCR7). I need to join the Standard Evaluation Structures S021 (Production Order) and S026 (Material Usage), but S021 is not appearing to choose characteristics and key figures.
Does anyone have suggestions?
My requirement is to create a report where I can see goods receipt x goods issues per order.

As we know that In Repetitive Manufacturing, components are often staged at the production line without reference to a particular order.
To create the demand program again for your production order, you must define the planning strategy for a product. Planning strategies represent the methods of production for planning and manufacturing or procuring a product. and run the scenario accordingly.

any body please suggest me how to map collective batch split during production order confirmatio.
i am using t.code CO11n.
in goods movement i am having qty as 2000 kg.
In this 200kg i want split in to 100 batches as 20 kg each. my client wants to put no batches it should automatically divided 2000kg and need to split 100 batches in to each 20 kg. how can i map this. is there any function module in our SAP.

How to attempt production orders and get feedback by using IDocs
Hi,
I'm new new to SAP and R3 respectively mySAP. I need to know how to use IDocs (over file system) to attempt production orders to an extern application and how to get the feedback of the whole orders and single operations.
I found the IDoc-base-type "PPCC2RECORDER01" to send production orders. Is that the right base type for production orders?
(In consideration of compatibility and support me was recommend to avoid the old types OPERA2 and CONF21.)
What IDoc-types do I need to get feedback about a production order and its operations?

Here I am assigning relevant batches to BOM Components manually, My Management want SAP to suggest batches automatically on FIFO basis, thickness, grade, width & first batches should automatically assign to Production order. Manual entry of batches for finished product
Dear Guru's,
I want the manual entry of batches in the production order & automatic batches for raw materials. I have maintained the autoamtic batch number assignment as Inactive in T-code OMCZ. After maintaing this system is asking for manual entry for batches for raw materials also. I want the manual entry for production order & automatiic entry for raw materials.
I have changed the setting to " No automatic batch creation in production / process order" in production scheduling profile through T-code CORY. Assigned this production scheduling profile in work scheduling view. Even though I am facing the problem.
Hope it is clear. Need your inputs.

Automatic Batch Determination in Production order
Dear All,
We are using automatic batch determination is based on FIFO (first Mfg first out) for components..After releasing the order.
I have maintained Batch Class in all the materials which are used as a all material special Characteristic LOBM_HSDAT as a one of the class characteristic. as we want batch determination on GR date for few material and for few material LOBM_VFDAT for self life material and its class.
Then create Sort Rule CU70 mainatained the same LOBM_HSDAT in it. and one with LOBM_VFDAT.
Then create Batch serch Strategy (USE T.Code COB1- search strategy CO01the respective sort rule and selection critoria.for All ROH HALB and Finish material.
In Material Master of all component in MRP 2 view select value 3 (Automatic Batch Determination) for BATCH ENTRY. All ROH HALB and Finish material
After mainting above all prerequisite I should able to do the Automatic Batch Determination as per my selection Rule.
But Automatic Batch Determination in Production order after release is not working.
Please need your help.

On the initial screen of your application choose Logistics>centrel function>batch management>Batch determination>For process order -->Batch search strategy --> Create.

Enter the required dat-->say plant ,production order type, product,valid from and component for which you want to have this

Go back to the screen on which you create a batch search strategy.
Choose Sort if required(it should be defined earlier(in CU70- here you are giving the charateristic name on which you want to sort)
For component you need to use MBC1 with search stratgey as ME01 for your plant movement type and material and assign the sort rule and search procedure here.
Check also in COR4, for the combination of plant and order type...you have selected search procedure-CO0001
Batch management> Batch serach procedure allocation and check activation

Skip lot across multiple batches for same material
Hi,
I am looking for a way to control skip lots across multiple batches for the same material.
We need to do a quality check in production after a certain quantity produced (on a machine, for a material). My idea was to do skip lots (for GR) until we reach a threshold (say 10.000 pcs) and then do an inspection for the next GR for that material.
Any ideas how to set that up?
