Multiple Calendars on my Blackberry 8130

I am having problems setting one calendar as my default calendar on my Pearl 8130. I can go in and change the setting to show the calendar I would like to be the default, but if I exit the calendar feature, use one of the other applications on my Blackberry and then return to my calendar application, I have multiple calendars appearing again. I am running Outlook 2007 and Desktop Manager 4.7
Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, I do not have an answer, however a similar problem and a "tack-on" question. I have 2 calendars show up on my device , one attached to me email address, and a device default calendar. I would like to delete one of them since they are the same. Any thoughts?

Sync'ing Multiple Calendars in Both Outlook and Blackberry 8330

I have been searching for either an OEM solution or 3rd party application solution for this problem for quite some time with no luck, so I decided to ask the experts here...
I am running an 8330 w/BIS service. I use my Blackberry for personal, work, and a side business. I have my personal emails, my work email (BIS, not BES) and my side business's email addresses configured. As such, I have multiple calendars on my Device and I've color-coded them to my liking.
I am quite mobile, and often need to enter infomation in any of the 3 calendars on the fly. Keeping them color-coded and separate is ideal, since I use the 'select calendar' function on the device to keep everything organized.
The problem lies in syncronizing with Outlook 2007 when I get home... Outlook 2007 will only sync the Default Calendar on my device, which happens to be my personal calendar. I know I can add a second and third calendar in Outlook and configure them to syncronize with my Blackberry but they still will only sync with my Default Calendar on the device. This is not much help when I'm on the road since everything ends up in one lump on my device, and no way to separate...
Google Sync is the same thing. I can add calendars and syncronize, but it all ends up in my Default Calendar as well.
I just can't see myself scrolling thru my many appointments and all-day events to pick out what events belong to what area of my life... I'm baffled that there would be multiple calendars on the device but no way to syncronize them with Outlook. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Outlook Sync - Multiple Calendar Problem

(I am not sure whether this belongs in this Forum or would be more appropriately directed to my Device (Curve 8900) forum or Desktop Software. Please advise or re-direct if that is the case.)
I am having a sync issue with Outlook, and it revolves around the issue of having multiple calendars on the Device, each of which is associated with an e-mail address. I understand this has been a relatively common question; however, although I admittedly may be looking in the wrong place, I have yet to come across a comprehensive solution.
I understand how to switch the "default" e-mail associated with scheduling items on the calendar, and I believe I'm correct in thinking that this is what syncs with Outlook. I've noticed that when I try switching the default, Outlook wants to delete all other appointments which are NOT associated with that device calendar.
So I guess my specific questions are:
1) Is there a way to have Outlook sync with ALL calendars on the device, i.e. not just the default? It's easy enough to make all appointments from here on out with a single account & have that be the one that syncs; however, it doesn't seem possible to do that without having Outlook want to delete all other appointments.
2) Is there a way to change the associated email/calendar for events on the Device? When I open an event, I can see which email/calendar it is but I don't know how to *change* it -- I only seem to have a choice when scheduling new events.
If either of these was an option, I think that would solve my problem -- I could either go through the device & convert everything to the default email/calendar & everything would be there upon sync, OR Outlook would just pick up everything from all calendars when I sync.
I don't understand why it's so complicated to have everything in one place!

Multiple calendar events in one email

I would like to ask if Blackberry supports to read multiple events invitation in one email.
I tried to attach two iCalendar (.ics) files, but the blackberry just picked one of the events to display as "one event", the other is missed (disappeared).
I tried to modify the iCalendar file to contain multiple events, but the blackberry just read it as "application/X-rimdevicecalendar". When I tried to open the attachment, it prompted "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device" while Outlook can read the file and import into Outlook calendar correctly.
Does Blackberry support this? Or I need to use other format?

Blackberry 8130 sync compatibility with Mac

I am running Palm Desktop 4.2.1 on my Mac OS 10.4.11 and am considering getting a Blackberry 8130 in order to sync contacts, calendar, etc between computer and phone, plus run e-mail. I am aware of previous difficulties using software programs to allow a seamless transfer. Which software programs are recommended to sync from Mac Palm Desktop to blackberry 8130? Is there another phone that is more suitable or should I download Mac Outlook or use Apple Addressbook and iCal? I am impressed with the 8130 but am leary of previous comments regarding incompatibility issues. Thanks in advance for your help.

I am having the same problem, my Q10 doesnt sync with my Mac Contact Address Book. The BBlink says its syncing but nothing happens. I updated all the software, running 10.2.1.537 on the device and BlackBerry Link is 1.2.0 (build 17)

Getting rid of MULTIPLE calendars

I just discovered that I have 3 calendars - one for my business Outlook email address. (which I want), and one called <my name>@vzw.blackberry.net (which I don't want) and another called "Desktop". I ONLY want the ONE that synchs with my business Outlook email address. How do I get rid of these other two?? I just learned today that an entry I made on my BB did not synch with my laptop Outlook becasue it was in the "desktop" calendar.
I would also LOVE to get rid of the <my name>@vzw.blackberry.net EM address becuase I get two of every email. I have Verizon service and I don't know if that EM address is required. Can someone PLEASE help?? I not have 3 calendars all with separate appointments on them. I wnat ONE consolidated calendar on my BB and on my laptop (business Outlook). thanks!

Go to your Calendar, then go to its Menu button > Options, then type MOVE. (You won't see this typed on the screen.) This will invoke a popup, asking if you'd like to move/merge your calendars into the device default (1 calendar). After you've OK'ed this, do a battery pull while your BB is turned on, and this will get you set up.
You will have this issue again in the future unless you remove all of the other calendars [CICAL] listed in your Service Books. For more info on merging calendars and such, here's a good link to get you started:

Double, Triple Calendar Entries on Blackberry

When I sync my Blackberry Curve 8300 with my iMac Entourage 2008, the sync freezes up, and I have to force quit - then, when I look at my calendar on my Blackberry, there are double, then triple, then quadruple entries on my calendar! (it is not doubled on my Entourage).
I have two e-mail accounts (one work, one personal) syncing with my Blackberry, but I am not sure how these e-mail accounts affect the calendar inputs.
After reading another post (but I wasn't sure it applied to me), I have some more information:
1. in my Blackberry Options, Advanced/Default Services: tehre are two calendars: a CICAL and a CMIME, both with my work e-mails.
2. Next, in the Calendar Ooptions, there are 3 calendars: A Device Default with 48 entries, My home e-mail with 1 entry, and my work e-mail with 1576 entries.
I also have only clicked to sync with my Entourage Calendar, even though there are multiple calendars to choose from.
Also, I was wondering, why doesn't the Blackberry Sync Manager allow for a one-way sync? (Mine gives the option for two-way sync or no sync at all!)
Please help, because I would LOVE to be able to sync my calendars!!

I saw several with exactly your issue...though none had answers. It seems one of the issues is the incompatibility of iCal, Entourage and BB cals. They don't map exactly the same (e.g., iCal can have many calendars, BB can have one from iCal). Do you or have you ever had other syncing software on your mac? Have you ever cleared iCal & system cache? I would recommend the following:
1. Backup/archive iCal and Entourage (to be safe)
2. Rebuild Entourage (hold option while you start Entourage and rebuild it)
3. Make sure sync services is set off for now
4. Remove all remnants of ALL sync programs (MS, PM and DM)
5. Clear all the system cache (you did not post your Mac OS, so If you use SL, get OnyX and use it to clear your cache
6. Restart computer and reinstall DMFM
7. Try syncing with BB (no entourage)
I personally don'y use iCal and Entourage calendar (why do you need two?)

I have multiple calendars I'm connected to. If I send a meeting invite from my work (Microsft Outlook) to both account my phone will only let me put it on one calendar. I want to be able to add it to each calendar.

I have a question about the calendar on the ipad2. I have multiple calendars in different colors. Some of the events are filled in with color. Others are just listed with a colored dot in front of the event. Any ideas why events ar showing up differently?

If the hard drive that crashed is the one that stored the itunes library, be sure to restore the library from Time Machine (mac) or whatever backup you use on windows. That will get back your music. I suspect that the replacement drive has an empty itunes library and thus, perhaps, the itunes match used that to sync to its servers.

How can I share multiple calendars in iCal with several different people?

I need to share multiple calendars created in iCal with all our staff. Do I enter their individual email addresses separated by a semi-colon or a "plus" sign or how. I tried entering all the email addresses with the semi-colon and when I go back to look at sharing, it just shows one email address.

I am assuming that you are referring to a responsive layout that has divisions that reposition themselves according to the width of the client browser window.

Friends, Could some one please explain me what this 'Multiple Calendar' option is, in 7.9.6. There is not much Information in Config guide with this regard.
My Question is, does 'Multiple Calendar option' means 7.9.6 supports different calendars but one at a time or does it support more than one calendar at a time in the application.
Where I'm coming from is, our source is EBS and some Business users want OBIA calendar to be same as EBS so that they can see Adjustment Periods as well..but on the other side they also want Weekly Analysis..which is not present in EBS (our EBS is configured with 445 calendar with Adjustments...so lowest is periods) ..so not sure how to go about this.
is there is a possibility of using EBS Sourced Claendar( Enterprise) as well as another 445 calendar which will give us week level analysis capabilities? Lets say it allows different calendars at a time..then how does it work?..does it pre-aggregates for different calendars?..please explain.
Any help regarding this will be highly appreciated.

I have multiple calendars on my gmail account. I would like to add all of them to the mail app on my IPad. Is that possible? If it is how do I do that?

Google's directions at the link tht Allan provided are, it turns out, a bit incomplete. Once you go to m.google.com on your iPad, you have to click on the Sync icon. Not sure how they managed to leave that rather important bit out.
