Multiple Characteristics addition in CL20N transaction code

Dear All,
Can any body suggest how to add multiple characteristics in transaction code Cl20N.
Although Paste function is there but it is not accepting.
Thanks & Regards
Sudhansu

Thanks a lot for your lucid explanation.
I understand fully what you explained here with, however my requirement is sth different.
More precisely .
I have a class and 4 - characteristics.
out of which
1. Material Group - 150 numbers
2. Plant - 70 - Number aPPROX.
and I have around 100  strategy so it is a lot of data entry work.
I want to add values in the characteristics through copy paste function other easy way it will save a lot of my time. System is not allowing that in CL20N.
That is the question if any body can help this it will be a great help.
Thanks & Regards
Sudhansu

  • Remove transaction codes from multiple roles at a time

    Hello,
how to remove transaction codes from multiple roles at at time?
    Thank you in Advance.

    Hi Vanita,
Why do you want to remove a t-code from all the roles. Are you no longer going to use the t-code. If this is the case then you can lock the transaction code in T-code SM01 so that no one can use it. But this would effect other users as well, it should only be locked if no one should use the particular T-code.
Another alternative is to write a program to remove the particular T-Code from the table AGR_TCODES where the relation ship between the role and t-code is stored.
    Thanks.

  • EBS - NTRF for multiple transaction codes

    Hello,
I am implementing EBS using MT940 format, when I analysed the bank statement, I could only see NTRF transaction code assigned for Interest, Transfers, bank charges etc. I need different posting rules for each of them.
I would appreciate inputs on this.
    Thanks,
    Jay

Found an exit which will resolve this...

  • LSMW - Error BDC_INSERT, Transaction code .. is invalid XD01

    Dear all.
I have done the following Steps:
1 - Maintain Object Attributes. Chose the Object type Batch Recording, then created a Record using the name (CLI_PMR). And created the Batch record and then assign the fields name.
2 - Maintain Source Structures – Created the Struture (CLI_PMR1)
3 - Maintain Source Fields – Assign the fields name and length that I used in my program. (CLI_PMR1).
    4 - Maintain Structure Relations – Assign the Struture (CLI_PMR1 to CLI_PMR)
5 - Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules – The normal thing in this point.
6 - Specify Files - Specified the Legacy Data, path for the file.
7 - Generate Read Program – Generated the Program.
8 – Read Data – Executed this Step and every thing is correct
9 - Generate Conversion Program – Generated the program
    10 - Convert Data – Convert data
11 - Display Converted Data – Every thing is fine, with no errors
12 - Create Batch Input Session- At this the error message appears Error BDC_INSERT, Transaction code .. is invalid  time.
At the time we have created other LSMW programs for this T-Code and every thing is OK.
    I'm using the T-CODE=XD01
    Best Regards

Hi, I had the same problem in LSMW when generating a batch input for trx IE01. The cause was that there were tab/newline-characters in my text file (some descriptions contained tab-characters). Since I used a tab delimited file, these tabs/newlines in the fields messed up my file.
The excel file contained multiple lines per cell in some description fields. When this was exported to tab delimited text, it contained additional tabs. After checking the contents and removing the tabs/newlines from Excel and performed a new export to txt-file, it was solved.

  • Transaction code for Open sales order other than VA05

    Hi all,
Can any one tell me what is transaction code for open sales order other than VA05.
    Please help me .
    Thanks & Regards ,
    Srikanth P.

    Hi Srikanth,
    You can try below options.
1- VA05N - This can be run for multiple sold to party & multiple material, etc which was not in VA05. But this doesn't have all columns in VA05 report.
2 - You can check the sales order tables from transaction SE11 or SE16N
Try with below tables for your requirement.
Sales order Header data - VBAK
Sales order Item data - VBAP
    Schedule Line Data - VBEP
    Business data - VBKD
    Status header - VBUK
    Status items - VBUP
    Best regards,

  • Advise on using DBMS_XA with multiple branches under one global transaction

    Dear all
I need some advise on using DBMS_XA from PL/SQL with tightly coupled multiple branches under one global transaction. Basically, I've successfully written some PL/SQL code that in 3 different sessions attaches to 3 different branches of one global transaction and before ending each branch they can see each others uncommitted data. So far so good.
However, I'm not sure I completely understand how each branch must call xa_end, xa_prepare and xa_commit correctly using two phase commit and my calls result in errors like:
ORA-24767: transaction branch prepare returns read-only (XA error code 3 = Transaction was read-only and has been committed)
ORA-24756: transaction does not exist (XA error code -4 = XID is not valid)
ORA-02051: another session or branch in same transaction failed or finalized
This is the structure of my programs (3 SQL*Plus sessions):
main: Uses xid 123|0 (branch 0 of global transaction 123). This should be the coordinator that commits using two phase commit across the 3 branches
    m1.xa_start tmnoflags
    m2.DML
m3.Wait for thread A + B to manually be started and run xa_end
    m4.xa_end tmsuccess
    m5.xa_prepare
    m6.xa_commit false
thread A: Uses xid 123|A (branch A of global transaction 123)
    a1.xa_start tmnoflags
a2.DML -- thread A can see main and thread B's data
    a3.xa_end tmsuccess
    a4.xa_prepare -- required?
a5.Should we also call xa_commit false?
thread B: Uses xid 123|B (branch B of global transaction 123)
    b1.xa_start tmnoflags
b2.DML -- thread B can see main and thread A's data
    b3.xa_end tmsuccess
    b4.xa_prepare -- required?
b5.Should we also call xa_commit false?
    The failing steps are:
    m5
    m6
    a4
    a5
    b4
    b5
    Before starting calling xa_end I see 3 rows in V$GLOBAL_TRANSACTION, eg (hex 7B = decimal 123):
FORMATID GLOBALID BRANCHID BRANCHES REFCOUNT PREPARECOUNT STATE FLAGS COUPLING
    203348753 0000007B 00000000000000000000000000000000 3 3 0 ACTIVE 0 TIGHTLY COUPLED
    203348753 0000007B 0000000000000000000000000000000A 3 3 0 ACTIVE 0 TIGHTLY COUPLED
    203348753 0000007B 0000000000000000000000000000000B 3 3 0 ACTIVE 0 TIGHTLY COUPLED
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Cheers
    Finn

OK, I've figured it out. This is poorly documented as it's not well explained how to handle the various return codes. Turns out that all but the last xa_prepare calls return dbms_xa.xa_rdonly (tightly coupled branches are combined -- "read only" optimization), the last one returns dbms_xa.xa_ok and this is when you should call xa_commit.
Now my next problem is that DBMS_XA doesn't work from within jobs (DBMS_JOB and DBMS_SCHEDULER), which makes it very difficult to use DBMS_XA. My purpose of using DBMS_XA is to coordinate work across multiple sessions in one transaction but if I can't easily create the multiple sessions, I'm stuck.
When called from a job, xa_start throws:
ORA-24789: start not allowed in recursive call
on Oracle 11.2. In Oracle 11.1 it works, but xa_end fails with
    ORA-25352: no current transaction
so I guess in fact the xa_start call didn't really work either, even though it returned tm_ok.
I'm now trying to find a workaround on how to use DBMS_XA from within jobs, please comment if you have any suggestions. Or if you have any suggestions on other means of establishing the concurrent sessions (I wouldn't like to resort to external programs that need username/password to connect as password management would be a security issue).
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers

  • PO creation through transaction code ME25 (vendor unknown) - reg.

    Dear all,
When I'm doing excercise using transaction code ME25 (PO creation - vendor unknown), the system shows the error message as "Item category not allowed with document type".
    How to overcome this issue.
Plz do the needful at the earliest.
    Regards,
    Chandramohan.N

    Hi
    Chandramohan
You can do this in IMGMM-PURPO and Define Doc types and select the required Doc type and Select the Allowed Item Category. In this way you can allow the item category to the respective Document type.
The item category determines the field selection and whether any additional data screens are shown.
In addition, it determines whether a goods receipt or invoice receipt is to follow.
The following list contains the item categories defined in the standard SAP R/3 System:
Standard,Consignment,Subcontracting,Third-party,Stock transfer,Service,Material unknown and Material group
    If helpful reward the points..

  • Problem in executing FS10N transaction code -

    Hi All,
I am executing FS10N transaction code, in selection criteria for company code, I have selected multiple selection tab. Here in ranges tab, I have entered " 01 to 32" Company codes range. Then I am receiving the following message "ONLY SELECT COMPANY CODES WITH SAME FISCAL YEAR".
I am sure that all the selected comapny codes are having same fiscal year variant.
Please advise me what is the problem and what should I do to rectify it.

    Hi chandra,
This problem occur because you had been posted documents for some company code with another fiscal year variant and changed afterwards.
Enter in OBY6: Utilities - Changed logs - Display status.
You can display companies codes balances with same document posting period.

  • Reg : Restriction of creation of transaction code

    hi all,
I want to restrict creation and deletion of  transaction codes (Y or Z).
       How to get done it.
       We use SE93 and SE80 to create T-Code, ( Is there any t-code to create y or z t-code)
We can restrict SE93 to create or delete t-code, but we cant restrict SE80 as we create many other objects in SE80.
      Suggestions reg this.

    Jean,
When you do screen debugging the tcode se93 while creating/deletion of a tcode it takes us to
    Program SAPLSEUK
    Include LSEUKI01
      process after input.
      module exit_tcode_menu at exit-command.
      field tstc-tcode
            module xcode_390.
Under this module xcode_390 we have the code which performs the creation/deletion of the tcode
    when 'ADD'.
       call function 'RS_TRANSACTION_ADD'
            exporting
                 objectname         = tstc-tcod
            exceptions
                 already_exists     = 01
                 permission_failure = 02.
       if sy-subrc = 1.
message id sy-msgid type 'E' number sy
                 with sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv
       else.
       when 'DELE'.
       call function 'RS_TRANSACTION_DELETE'
            exporting
                 objectname    = tstc-tcode
            exceptions
                 not_excecuted = 01.
       if sy-subrc ne 0.
message id sy-msgid type 'E' number
                 with sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-ms
       endif.
The same for CHANGE too.Try to put a validation here
if sy-tcode ne 'SE80' and also the SY-MANDT in the if condition. In addition to this lock SE93 using SM01 too.
But when we debug through SE80, it is taking us to
    Progrm SAPLWB_INITIAL_TOOL
Under this program we have an INCLUDE LWB_INITIAL_TOOLO01
    form set_status_0100.
      data:
        l_disabled_functions   type ui_functions.
      call method g_initial_tool_ref->if_wb_program~wb_manager->get_status
           importing
              P_DISABLED_FUNCTIONS   = l_disabled_functions.
      SET PF-STATUS 'INITIAL_TOOL' excluding l_disabled_functions.
      SET TITLEBAR  'WBM'.
      clear g_fcode.
    endform.                    " SET_STATUS_0100
Or just try to disable the option CREATE and DELETE in the above program.Just try these options, may be you will get some lead.Mind you both are SAP Standard Programs and needs accesskey. Also check whether your requirement is worth enough to tamper with SAP Standard code

  • How do I create an iView with multiple links to R/3 transactions

    Hello Portal developers,
I'm looking for a solution for displaying multiple links on a single iView or Page.  The requirement is calling for several SAP Transactions and a link to an external web application from a single view.  Could or should this be done using KM Navigation iView, or creating separate iViews for each link and placing them in a page?
    Thank you for your recommendations.

    Hi Terry,
Are the SAP Transactions fixed ?
I mean have you fixed that only these many transactions have to be displayed ?
If yes, better option would be to create separate iviews for each and assign these to the "Related Links" or "Dynamic Navigation" of a page.
IF no, that means, you want the user shall enter the transaction code and that transaction should open up in iview, then ofcourse you cant go in for the above solution.
    Thanks,
    Samta

  • MD4C standard Transaction Code Help

    Dear All,
I need help I want to add multiple selection screen option for WBS element in MD4C transaction. (Report Name: PP_ORDER_PROGRESS).
If anybody has a similar issue could you please help me out without changing standard transaction code?
    Regards,
    Chanda.

    Hello,
You mean transaction type? Then for Service Desk it is SLFN. It is not recommended to open Issues (SLFI) directly from the CRMD_ORDER transaction. You can also open change requests (SDCRs) from CRMD_ORDER, and later assign them to the maintenance cycle.
    Best regards,
