Multiple Choice Options

For the following form I just created:

Is it possible to limit the input so that the user can select only one column for each of the rankings 1-4 (i.e. cannot have two first choices)? In other words, you can only select 4 of the options and rank them 1-4. Is there a better way of doing this?

Apparently not.
In Numbers, Pop-up menu is a cell format choice, set in the Inspector > Cell Format.
In Pages, that format, with several others, is missing from the cell format menu.

Add more than 8 quiz multiple choice options???

I have one slide that needs a quiz and has 10 or 11 multiple choice options/answers. I can't get more than 8. Does anyone know how to get more than 8 answers for multiple choice?

The version is CP8 - 8.0.1.242. After doing some research, it appears that the problem is when I open a CP5.5 and CP7 file in CP8. I remember I had this problem with CP7. I made a new file in CP8 and made a multiple choice slide, added 4 more answers, no problem. I am going to have to live with down level files. Just does not look professional. At some time, I will redo ALL of the quiz slides.

Close Multiple Choice Option

Is there a way to close one or more multiple choice options listed on a form while leaving other options still open to choose from? Thank you!

Can you send me the URL to your HTML/web form at [email protected] and I will take a look, what web browser and operating system are you using? You are referring to an online form or is it PDF? In the web form it should certainly not take any time when you select "Other"
You can clear the "Other" choice in a FormsCentral web form by removing the text and unchecking the selection for Other, also simply unchecking it will make it so that information is not submitted (even though it still shows, it is greyed out and won't be submitted).

Grey box over multiple choice options in quiz (Captivate 5.5)

I created several quiz slides - all multiple choice. When the mouse is moved over the answer options a grey box highlights the radio button and text of the option. I'd rather not have this grey box displayed. Any ideas on how I turn off this "feature"?

Interesting. Can you upload screenshots of a question with the grey rollover and a question that does not have it, each with a mouse cursor over an answer item, so that we can see?
Is this a project that has been upgraded from an older version of Captivate or was it built from scratch in Captivate 5.5?

Change Multiple Choice Options from A, B, C to 1, 2, 3?

I am using Captivate 8.1. I need to create a multiple-choice quiz where the answer options are 1, 2, and 3 instead of A, B, and C. I can't find a setting anywhere that lets me change the "numbering" (for lack of a better term) format of the multiple-choice question. Does anyone know if it is possible to do this?

In Quiz Properties panel, at the top, just under Points and Penalty, you'll find Numbering with a dropdown list.
I think you are on 8.0.1.242, there is not a version 8.1

Keyboard accessibility, Captivate 8 - I cannot select multiple choice options with tab / enter.

It seems that most information I can find is that it's a standard feature, and if you have the accessibility checkbox selected then it should work. I'm viewing my quiz in HTML5 Chrome. Tabs do not enter the answers, am I missing something obvious?

I don't know if you resolved this yet... but I had the same problem. Eventually I realized that you have to TAB - SPACE BAR on the quiz slides. With the drop downs for filling in the blanks, it is TAB to, SPACE BAR, UP DOWN ARROW KEYS, ENTER. I am having to put instructions on the slide. Also, I'm having a nightmare with the tabbing on quiz slides, because for some reason it tabs on EVERYTHING on the slide, not just the interactive options. It even tabs the slide itself. I can't fix it... I've tried everything. I have it all perfect on everything but the quiz slides, then it loses focus. Also, for the fill in the blank quiz slides, it tabs to the selections all over the place. First it goes to question 1, then 6 then 3, then 2... and so on. As these don't show up in the tabable order feature, I can't fix that either.
Sorry I just probably made it worse for you... but if you know of a fix for these other tabbing issues with quiz slides, please let me know.

Keynote and multiple choice quizes

Does anyone know of a way to create a multiple-choice quiz with Keynote?
What I mean is, can you create links from a question page (with video and text) with 4 options and then create pages responding to the users' choice...correct or incorrect... then move onto the next question page etc...?
Is there a way to use the Hyperlinks function in Keynote for this purpose?
I plan to export to iDVD and have an interactive quiz DVD...
I remember doing something similar a while back with Powerpoint.
I like to push the boundaries and see what can be squeezed out of a piece of software...

What do you mean by "I'm just saving them on my computer". Do you open the PDF with some application (which one?) and then do a save from that application?

Multiple choice with multiple answers

Hello,
I was wondering if someone can help me out. I'm creating a series of tutorials useing Captivate and at the end of each one I want a slide that has the options
a) re-run tutorial (jump back about 100 slides)
b)go to next tutorial (next slide)
c)return to start (jump to slide 1)
I've had a look at the multiple choice questions in Captivate but they only seem to alow you to make one movement with a "correct" answer and I'm looking for more of a navigational tool. Would this functionality be stored under the 'Quiz' section or somewhere else or is this function just not available in this tool?

Hi there
Notice that with the Multiple Choice question type, when you select one of the possible answers you have an Advanced button that may be clicked. You may then assign a different action for each answer selected. So answer a could jump back 100 slides, answer b could open another project and answer c could perhaps open Google.

1. Is it possible to make multiple choice in a Form? It is known
that there is only one choice in LOV or List Item. ( That is
like : select ... from ...where :block1.Id= Order.order_Id )
What I would like to do is : select ...
from ...where :block.Id in ( select ...from...where...) Such
subquery will return at least five values. Can this be possibly
developed in Forms (4.5)? or should use VBX?
2.'Copy' function in Forms. I want to insert two records. The
second has the same value as the first except PK_VALUE. e.g.
1.Record A,B,C,D,E
2.Record M,B,C,D,E
The problem is whenever I do inserting in a Form, all columns are
blank and waiting for entering data. Is it possible to just
input 'F', and the other columns will be inserted automatically
as same as previous one ('B','C','D','E,')?
3.To concatenate comment statement of two reports.
I have two reports. Each has its own comment column.
Now I want to concatenate these two comments and insert it into
a new report. Is it possible in Reports2.5?
I have thought of these problems for a long time, but I still
can't solve
them. I am not sure whether I can do such things in Dev 2k? Or
it can be developed in Dev 6.0?

PARAMETER: p_werks like vbap-werks.
select-options : s_vbeln for vbak-vbeln,
                 s_posnr for vbap-posnr.
select VBELV LFIMG from LIPS into corresponding fields of table ITAB where VBELV in S_VBELN and POSNV in S_POSNR.
I had entered value for s_vbeln 31 from 331
and s_posnr 10 20 and it gave me correct entries coz for order number 331 there were two entries in lips so multiple entries worked.
Please check the code with my code.

rite now im using d query :

now this query is not workin if we give multiple choices in d input.

DATA: BEGIN OF ITAB OCCURS 0,
             VBELV LIKE LIPS-VBELV,
             POSNV LIKE LIPS-POSNV,
             LFIMG   LIKE LIPS-POSNV,
           END    OF ITAB.
select VBELV POSNV LFIMG from LIPS into table ITAB where VBELV in S_VBELN and POSNV in S_POSNR.
U make sure to have all keys fields in ITAB to miss any records, it should be better your table was like this:
DATA: BEGIN OF ITAB OCCURS 0,
             VBELN LIKE LIPS-VBELN
             POSNR LIKE LIPS-POSNR,
             VBELV LIKE LIPS-VBELV,
            POSNV LIKE LIPS-POSNV,

MUltiple Speaker Option

I am trying to fix a problem in streaming internet radio through an air port express device to my stereo system and have encountered dropouts in the music. I was told to,"Set Air Tunes to the multiple speaker option and include the computer". How is this done? Thanks for any help.

Multiple choices for User's Profile& Preferences System Code for GSM ?

I’m LauraJ and I have a question regarding users being able to see in GSM the item codes for specifications entered by other business units users.
When this user is making a generic search in GSM for the common specifications shared by multiple facilities, on the search page he/she is seeing only the system code from its facility; the codes entered by sister facilities users for the same specification are visible only if he/she opens the spec.
I tried to change this into User’s Profile& Preferences System Code for GSM but I can choose only one option. How can I select multiple choices for System code?

In GSM and SCRM, you can only select one preferred System Code. But you can create an Enhancement Request for use to allow multiple.

Is there a way to change the rating scale into a multiple choice feature?

I like the format of the rating scale however, I would like the option to select more than one choice in a row.
Is there a way I can incorporate the multiple choice feature into a chart like the rating scale?

Adobe Captivate more than 15 multiple choice answers

Hi,
I am trying to create one slide multiple choice question.
My options in answers are 16 and from these 16 answers only 4 of them is correct.
Why Captivate doesn't allow me to have more than 15 multiple choice answers?

Sorry, but the limit is 15. Even that is pretty much for a MCQ.

Adobe Captivate - Multiple Choice Quiz Question - Radio Button and Text Alignment

I have created a quiz with multiple choice questions.
No matter what I do I cannot align the radio button and the text for the choices (see below).
I would like to align the center of the radio button with the center of the letter A) and B).
I have tried every option that I can think of in the Properties options.
Please let me know if anyone has a solution for this.
