Multiple choices when creating a form
Hi all! I thought I had this figured out, but it's I can't get it to work. I'm using Acrobat 9 Pro. I'm creating a form. I have questions that require an "either/or" answer AND I've got "choose all that apply" questions. I've got the either/or boxes working. But I've tried both the radio buttons and the check boxes for the all-that-apply questions, and it still is only allowing one answer. What am I doing wrong? From what I can tell, I should use Radio buttons for the either/or questions and check the Check Box tool for the choose all that apply questions. But it is still forcing only one answer! Thanks!
Julie
Unlike radio buttons, you'll want your check boxes to have different output values and different names. It sounds like you haven't given each check box a different name.

I use Place Multiple Fields when creating fillable forms.
Is there a way calculations can be updated? I would love to not have to go into every calculating field to re-set each calculation to the updated field names (there are 250 calculating fields). Any tips?
(This is more of a question for the Acrobat Forms or Acrobat JavaScript forum...)
It's possible, but you need to use a custom calculation script that takes the target field name and extrapolates the names of the other fields from it, and then uses their values in the calculation. -

Thank you, GKaiseril! The field names are in sequence but I already know my javascript skills are not up to this challenge. Perhaps I should explain what I'm trying to accomplish and include some field names in the javascript forum?

How to add multiple table when creating add on using b1de
Hi all,
Plz help me
How to add multiple table when creating add on using b1de.
ThanksHi dns_sap,
Can you explain a little better what you are trying to accomplish? Is it to create UserTables and UserFields in the database, when the addon runs the first time?
If so, you can use the following code
Add User Table
Try
Dim lRetCode As Long
Dim oUDT As SAPbobsCOM.UserTablesMD = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oUserTables)
oUDT.TableName = TableName
oUDT.TableDescription = TableDescription
oUDT.TableType = TableType
lRetCode = oUDT.Add
'// Check for error when adding the Table: if lRetCode = 0 the table was created; if lRetCode = -2035 the table already exisits
If lRetCode <> 0 Then
oApplication.MessageBox("Error: " & lRetCode.ToString & ", " & oCompany.GetLastErrorDescription)
End If
Catch ex As Exception
oApplication.MessageBox(oCompany.GetLastErrorDescription)
Finally
System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUDT)
oUDT = Nothing
lRetCode = Nothing
GC.Collect()
End Try
Add User Field
Try
Dim lRetCode As Long
Dim oUDF As SAPbobsCOM.UserFieldsMD = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oUserFields)
oUDF.TableName = TableName
oUDF.Name = FieldName
oUDF.Description = FieldDescription
oUDF.Type = FieldType
lRetCode = oUDF.Add
'// Check for error when adding the field: if lRetCode = 0 the field was created; if lRetCode = -2035, the field already exists
If lRetCode <> 0 Then
oApplication.MessageBox("Error: " & oCompany.GetLastErrorCode & ", " & oCompany.GetLastErrorDescription)
End If
Catch ex As Exception
oApplication.MessageBox(oCompany.GetLastErrorDescription)
Finally
System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUDF)
oUDF = Nothing
lRetCode = Nothing
GC.Collect()
End Try

Is there a way to reduce the size between the lines in when creating a form in FormsCentral so that you can fit more lines on a page?
In the Folders Tab, right click on folder then click Reveal in Explorer. This will open an Explorer window with the folder selected. In Explorer you can right click > Properties or navigate to whatever you want to measure.

Hi,
When i created adobe form, i found an error :
Could not start Layout Designer (see long text)
Message no. FPUIFB086
Diagnosis
The forms design tool for developing the form layout could not be started; either it is not installed or there are errors in the installation.
Procedure
Make sure that you have the forms design tool installed on your desktop (the tool is part of the SAPGUI installation).
Also read SAP Note 801524.
In my computer Adobe Life Cycle Designer 8.0 installed, why it happen?
Please help me.
Thank you.
regards,
FerryGood to know — there is no such application as "Adobe XI".
"Adobe" is the name of the company.
"XI" is indicative of the use of either Acrobat XI or Reader XI.
Neither Acrobat XI Pro (for which Adobe provides a free, fully functional 30-day trial) nor Adobe Reader XI (the free to download and use PDF viewer that Adobe provides) have an "Export PDF" entry under "File".
"Export PDF" only is present in Adobe Reader XI over on the right on the "Tools" panel.
The "Tools" panel provides a way for a user of Adobe Reader XI to connect to various By Subscription online services (gotta pay eh).
Export PDF is one of these. A subscription lets you send a PDF file to the online internet service (aka "cloud" service). The service then exports to a supported file format (Word / Excel / ...) and the user selects / directs where the output file is to be saved on the user's local machine.
Of course to use any of the online subscription services one must have an active (paid up in full) subscription to the service.
So ---- As described the puzzle pieces don't fit eh.
What specific Adobe (the company) applications are you using?
Acrobat XI Pro? Adobe Reader XI? Both?
Be well.... -
ORA-01445 error when creating a form on a view
Hi,
I am attempting to create a form on a view - the view is a simple select from three tables that are connected to each other via foreign key relationships. When I attempt to submit data via this form, I get the ORA_01445 error. The Oracle8i Error Documentation says that this error is caused when a SELECT statement attempted to select ROWIDs from a view derived from a join operation. Because the rows selected in the view do not correspond to underlying physical records, no ROWIDs can be returned. The solution is to remove ROWID from the view selection clause, then re-execute the statement.
I did not include the rowid when I created my view so I went to look at the package that is generated by Portal to create the form. Sure enough, rowid was appended to the select statements.
Are there any workarounds for this? Why is the rowid appended to the select statement? Do I need to build my view another way? We cannot use master-detail forms because the nature of the data does not allow it. We would like to be able to use just one form to update several tables.
I read in an earlier post that forms cannot be created on views that have DISTINCT, AVG, COUNT, MAX, MIN, GROUP BY, HAVING, START WITH, or CONNECT BY. My view has none of these. It is just a simple select * from a, b, c.Melissa,
This is the current limitation of the forms, we do not support non-updatable views, we expect to have the rowid available, if you want to access non-updatable views, please create a QBE report. If you think this is a very important feature, please file a bug.
Thanks,

Problem when creating a Form with Launch Task Form Wizard
Hi all,
I'm using jdeveloper 11.1.1.6 over Windows 7 64bits for my BPM project.
I'm a new with BPM and i have a problem when trying to create a task's Form with the "Launch Task Form Wizard". I'm trying to create my Form based on a custom template, i already have imported the template as a library, now after i have selected the template i follow the wizard and i reach the wizard's rowX-columnX where i should choose the field i want in my form, but the problem is that i don't see any fields in that part of the wizard, the window is empty :(
I have created a business object based on a XSD, then i created a process data object based on the previous created business object and finally i used this data object as a parameter to the human task.
What could be my problem ?? :( :(
Regards
CarlosI have also faced this issue few times. There could be a namespace issue / schema issue. Please check if you are able to see task:task in the schema section anywhere in the .task file you created. If that is not shown, the fields will not appear while creating human task form.
Thanks

Ora-20001 when creating a form on table with report (bug?)
Having some trouble creating a "Form on table with report".
1) I pick my table
2) take most of the defaults on the page where you pick the report type (interactive) and the page number (I changed it to 950). next->
3) Do not use tabs. Next->
4) Select all columns for the report. THEN (here's the problem) set an optional where clause of system_role_name like 'ODPSPOPUP%'. Next->
5) choose standard edit link. next->
6) Specify a page of 951 for the form (leave others defaults). next->
7) Set the form primary key (defined in table). next->
8) use existing trigger. next->
9) choose all columns for the form. next->
10) Leave actions to insert, update, delete. next->
11) Get to the summary page and click Finish
Then I get an error page saying:
ORA-20001: Unable to create query and update page. ORA-20001: Unable to create query and update page. ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
If I go back to step 4 and erase my where clause the wizard completes successfully.
Also if I change the report type in step 2 from the default of "Interactive" to "Classic" the wizard completes successfully. However upon running the report I get a query parse error. Looks like the where clause in the report sql is: system_role_name like ''ODPSPOPUP%'' (two single quotes on each side).
It looks as if you cannot specify a where clause with a quoted string. The wizard is expecting a bind variable.
Workaround(s):
1) Don't specify a where clause when report type = Interactive in "create form on table with report" wizard.
or
2) Specify a bogus where clause using bind variable syntax such as "system_role_name like :BOGUSVARIABLE". Then edit the report query once the wizard finishes and change the where clause to the constant string you wanted to use in the wizard (e.g. "system_role_name like 'MYSYSTEM%'")
Apex: 3.2.0.00.27
Database: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition 11.1.0.7.0 64bit Production (Oracle EL5)Andy,
It's a bug, all right. Thanks for the detailed problem description. We'll fix it when we can.

Widget Validation Problem when creating a form with JS
Hi all! :D
I'm making a section on a webpage that when you click a
botton it displays a form created with js, in that form I create
the "span's" for spry validation but they are not working.
The function to create the form is something like this:
//#####Creamos la Forma #######
//Creamos el tag form
var formCotiza = document.createElement("form");
formCotiza.setAttribute('action','*******.php');
formCotiza.setAttribute('method','post');
formCotiza.setAttribute('id','formDatosCotiza');
divProd.appendChild(formCotiza);
//creamos el campo texto Nombre
var sprytextfield1 = document.createElement('span');
sprytextfield1.id= 'sprytextfield1';
formCotiza.appendChild(sprytextfield1);
var txtMarca = document.createElement('input');
txtMarca.setAttribute('name','nombre');
txtMarca.setAttribute('size','35');
txtMarca.setAttribute('maxlength','100');
txtMarca.setAttribute('type', 'text');
sprytextfield1.appendChild(txtMarca);
var textfieldRequiredMsg = document.createElement('span');
textfieldRequiredMsg.setAttribute('class',
'textfieldRequiredMsg');
textfieldRequiredMsg.innerHTML = 'Escribe tu nombre.';
sprytextfield1.appendChild(textfieldRequiredMsg);
//Label para el campo Nombre
var lbNombre = document.createElement('label');
lbNombre.setAttribute('for', 'nombre');
lbNombre.innerHTML = ' Nombre';
formCotiza.appendChild(lbNombre);
If you want to see the page follow this steps:
First you have to add items to your cart here:
BuscadorProductos
Try to search something like "rego", then make click on
"cotizar" and type the number of items you want,
next go to
Cotizador
and click the button "Pedir Cotización" and you will see the
form i'm talking about. =)
Note: the search engine only works for FireFox, Opera etc.
(non IE) for now :S, if anyone knows why it isn't working on IE
tell please :PI have also faced this issue few times. There could be a namespace issue / schema issue. Please check if you are able to see task:task in the schema section anywhere in the .task file you created. If that is not shown, the fields will not appear while creating human task form.
