BAPI multiple records with error log-- Ex.Error & Success
Hi,
I have bapi with 10 records, while executing in loop , if 6th number records stuck due to error then i want it should proceed for 7th records. Program should not stop even i am getting error in middle for records.
and at last i want a summery for all successful and fail records in Standard BAPI.
How to do that ?
Already i Erich existing forum but i could not found related one.hi,
you can display the error if you want.
it will not stop while some thing or record is an error record in the middle of the processing.
you can store error and success messages into one itnernal table and display those at the last.

Unable to cycle error log due to lock that will not clear
Hello,
Currently I'm having an issue with cycling the error log on two SQL Server Instances because the file is being used by another process. Simple I know but, when you try to kill the SPID it becomes hung and we are forced to restart the instance, which I want
to avoid at all costs. To give you some background we use sqldm for our monitoring of the databases and received a message that our Error log reached its max size threshold and to cycle the error log. When I executed exec sp_cycle_errorlog I'm told the following
message:
Msg 17049, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_cycle_errorlog, Line 9
Unable to cycle error log file from 'J:\MSSQL10.SQL6\MSSQL\Log\ERRORLOG.1' to 'J:\MSSQL10.SQL6\MSSQL\Log\ERRORLOG.2' due to OS error '32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)'. A process outside of SQL Server may be
preventing SQL Server from reading the files. As a result, errorlog entries may be lost and it may not be possible to view some SQL Server errorlogs. Make sure no other processes have locked the file with write-only access."
DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your system administrator.
Then I ran the following query in instance A and found that sqldm had a active process.
SELECT *
FROM sys.dm_exec_requests a
OUTER APPLY sys.dm_exec_sql_text(a.sql_handle) b
WHERE session_id > 50
and session_id <> @@spid AND( text = 'xp_readerrorlog' OR text = 'sp_cycle_errorlog')
ORDER BY start_time a
Like I said before when I kill the SPID it became hung and remains in a rollback state (the process is not rolling back). My co-worker had this issue before on this same instance and contacted Idera for support, here was their response "The development
team provided an update regarding this case. After reviewing the code, SQLdm only reads the SQL logs information in each collection and does not lock this resource. Given the behavior that you described, this could be a problem of SQL Server 2008"
I believe they're right because we're only seeing this in these two instances. All other instances using sqldm are not reporting this problem which leads me to believe it is MS SQL Server causing it. This is where I'm stuck and that is trying to find out why
there is a lock on this file and for what reason. I used Process explorer yesterday to search for any processes that are using ERRORLOG through the Find DLL and Handle window and there were mulitple processes touching this file. When I looked today I'm seeing
now locks for this file and I still cannot cycle the error log. I ran the slect query above I'm still seeing sqldm SPID in both instances. I'm curious to see if anyone else has had this issue before whether they used sqldm or not. Any information will be helpful
in tracking this issue down.
Thank you in advance.
Process Explorer Search Results
Instance A
Instance BHi,
Generally, I use Process Explorer to find out which process is blocking the SQL Server from cycling the error log file. Open search box for ‘errorlog’ or dentify the entries with Handle or DLL as ‘your error log path’. There could be two
or more processes relating to that. One of them should be ‘sqlservr.exe’, and the others should be the culprits. Verify the process, and try to terminate it and then you should be able to run the stored procedure ‘sp_cycle_errorlog’ to cycle the
error log without restarting the SQL Server.
According to the images, there is no process found. I suggest you start the monitor and launch procexp.exe tool again and see if it makes any difference this time. If still no progress, I think you cannot avoid restating.
Thanks.

Can perl/cgi append to iplanet error log?
I've tried to print the stderr for the warning/error messages in a hope that they go to the errors logfile. But they don't.
Is it possible to append errors logfile using perl/cgi?
Thanks.Actually, if you run CGIs in Apache, print to stderr will automatically go to the server's error logs.
For iplanet web server, inside a CGI process, stderr is redirected to stdout, so anything to stderr actually shows up in the response page. It would be nice if iplanet has a configuration param to turn it on/off. -
regarding mountain lion server: clients experience intermittent service connections. the server system log has the following error- Client handshake failed (6):113: Server not accepting client connections. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thank you
Hi Jason
I was getting the same behavior after Apple support had me delete some plist files to get Airplay going. I was also getting the following error:
the error occurred while processing a command of type 'writesettings' in the plug-in 'server vpn'
I went into ~/Library/Preferences/ and /Library/Preferences/ and deleted every plist contating the word server. I had to re-set up my server (meaning walk through some intial steps) but all of my settings were still there after that and everything started working again.
Just a thought, obviously try at your own risk but it worked for me.

DML Error Logging with multiple tables = OALL8
I have a mapping that, via a splitter, loads 3 tables. This mapping works perfectly.
Recently we upgraded to OWB 10.2.0.3 so we decided to make use of the new feature of DML error logging. So three error-tables where created and the "error table name" property of each table was entered. When re-creating this mapping in the database the following errors occur: "State of OALL8 is inconsistent", "No more data to read from Socket" (translated from dutch). When removing the value from the "error table name" property again, the mapping can be recreated again.
What am I doing wrong? Have I run into a bug?Which database version are you using?
Also not sure when exactly the error occurs, when you deploy the map...or when you execute the map? Can you describe as simple a scenario for it to fail that you can?
I did find a bug 5942415 which was to do with this area..worth checking anyway.

I am trying to install update 11.0.06 for my Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, but without success multiple times.Get error 1603 each time. I have tried disabling my antivirus software without success. I have looked for solutions to error 1603, and have tried what it suggests (empty temp files in Windows, etc.), also without success.There is nothing that mentions Window 8 or 8.1 operating system, though. Is this the issue? Please help.
Hi Dawn,
We might want to have a look at the install logs to determine the cause.
Please try the following basic steps :
> Enable the hidden Admin Account on Windows 7 ( Ref : http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-wi ndows-vista/ )
> Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-services-windows.html )
> Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.
Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check.

DML Error logging with delete restrict
Hi,
I am trying to log all DML errors while performing ETL process. We encountered a problem in the process when one of the on delete cascade is missing in child tables but I was curious to know why we got that exception to the calling environment because we are logging all DML errors in err$_ tables. Our expectation is when we get child record found violation then that error will be logged into ERR$_ tables and process will carry on without any interruption but it interrupted in the middle and terminated. I can illustrate with below example
T1 -> T2 -> T3
T1 is parent and it is s root
Create table t1 (id number primary key, id2 number);
Create table t2(id number references t1(id) on delete cascade, id2 number);
create table t3 (id number references t2(id)); -- Missing on delete cascade
insert into t1 as select level, level from dual connect by level < 20;
insert into t2 as select level, level from dual connect by level < 20;
insert into t3 as select level from dual connect by level < 20;
exec dbms_errlog(t1);
exec dbms_errlog(t2);
exec dbms_errlog(t3);
delete from t1 where id = 1 log errors into err$_t1 reject limit unlimited; -- Child record found violation due to t3 raised but I am expecting this error will be trapped in log tables.
delete from t2 where id =1 log errors into err$_t2 reject limit unlimited; -- Got the same error child record violation. My expectation error will be logged into log tables.
I am using Oracle 11gR2.
Also, Please let me know if there is any restrictions to use DML error logging in DBMS_PARALLEL_EXECUTE.
Please advise
Thanks,
UmakanthWhat is the error you want me to fix? Missing on delete cascade?
The Code you posted has multiple syntax errors and can't possibly run. You should post code that actually works.
My expectation is all the DML errors will be logged into error logging tables even if it is child record found violation.
delete from t1 where id = 1 log errors into err$_t1 reject limit unlimited; -- Child record found violation due to t3 raised but I am expecting this error will be trapped in log tables.
delete from t2 where id =1 log errors into err$_t2 reject limit unlimited; -- Got the same error child record violation. My expectation error will be logged into log tables.
DML error logging logs DATA. When you delete from T1 there is an error because the T2 child record can NOT be deleted. So the T1 row that was being deleted is logged into the T1 error log table. The request was to delete a T1 row so that is the only request that failed; the child rows in T2 and T3 will not be put into log tables.
Same when you try to delete from T2. The T3 child record can NOT be deleted so the T2 row that was being deleted is logged into the T2 error log table.
The exceptions that occur are NOT logged, only the data that the DML could not be performed on.
After I fixed your code your example worked fine for me and logged into the DML error tables as expected. But I wasn't doing it from a client. -
I would like to hear how people have implemented various error
logging approaches in Forte applications.
Forte produces log files automatically for service partitions in
$FORTE_ROOT/log and pops up dialog boxes with uncaught exceptions
for client partitions.
Some of the current problems with the existing Forte error logging
include the famously painfull task of determining which log file
in the $FORTE_ROOT/log pertains to your partition and how to
correctly log client errors.
We have taken the approach of opening our own error file for each
Forte project containing a start class method. All exceptions are
then caught and written to the application error file. This takes
the guess work out of finding the correct error file but raises
some interesting design questions:
1) Should service objects maintain their own error files or should
all problems just be handled as exceptions to be logged by the
calling method. ( In some cases the calling method may not care
that a service object is having a problem. In this case the service
object may try an alternative approach. If the request is finally
filled an error with the service object's functioning has occurred
but not with the calling method's functionality ).
2) Should all error messages be handled by a central message
logger operating as a service object. In this case if various clients
are running on different platforms all error message from an
application are centralized. This saves the effort of checking error
files for the same application on multiple platforms. It also means
that a separate error file does not need to be created for each
client that is instantiated. The message logger service in this
case could be accessed by reference among several applications.

JDBC receiver adapter with multiple stored procs error
Hi all,
I am doing a scenario IDOC-XI-JDBC. The destination system in MS SQL server 2000. I am passing variant config information to update the destination tables by triggering the same stored procedure multiple times with different parameters.
Everything is correct, but JDBC adapter is giving me the following error
Unable to execute statement for table or stored procedure. 'mk_EditAllowedLowerSpineImprintingOptions_proc' (Structure 'CallProc') due to java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
My payload looks like this. This is just a partial payload, the blocks of CallProc continue till the CallsRemaining number reaches zero(0).

but still i get the same error.
Can anyone guide me what is wrong.Well,
The problem was with the way date was passed to the stored procedure, i just needed to format the date to yyyy-mm-dd and the error was solved. The error given by the JDBC adapter was not correct. I tried using logSQLStatement additional parameter, but for stored procedures it does not give out the actual SQL statement being fired. I was able to find the error in log files found on WAS server in transaction AL11.
So i suggest to everyone having issues with JDBC adapter, please do not trust the error given in runtime workbench, always crosscheck in the logs in AL11 at the following location in your XI box
DIR_INSTANCE\J2EE\CLUSTER\SERVER0\log. Here find date and time when you triggered your scenario and search for your table name or stored proc name, the java dump will give you a good information.
I am giving points to everyone anyways.
Thanks

'Input data length not a multiple of blocksize' error in CUP
Hello All
I receive the error below when trying to configure CUP. I got this error whilst trying to define the password for the RFC user created in the Connector screen in CUP. CUP doesn't accept the SAP password maintained in SU01. CUP only allows a 4 character password but SU01 is configured to only accept 8 characters. Full error message below.
'com.virsa.ae.commons.utils.StringEncrypter$EncryptionException: Input data length not a multiple of blocksize.'
Can anyone shed any light on this?Hi All,
This issue is in Version 5.3 SP 7.1 of CUP. It occurs when we are trying to change the password for the CUP connector.
Please note that testing the connectors within the Content Administrator --> Maintain JCO Connections screens works fine and the risk analysis from RAR also works without issue. However, whenever we attempt to enter the password for CUP connecotr setup, it returns an error saying "Action Failed" with the 'Input data length not a multiple of blocksize' error showing in the trace logs.
We seem to be able to store a password of 4 characters e.g. 1234 but this then naturally fails the connection test.
Can anyone suggest a parameter setting to check or a resolution for this particular issue?
Thanks,
Simon
