Multiple CME

Hi All;
would you please show me documents that show how to configure multiple CME as far as voice and video?

Hi;
If multiple CME connected together, as far as I know, they can communicate by SIP or H.323 protocol. I am looking for the documents to show how to configure multiple CME in H.323 and SIP network which they are able to have voice and video.
thanks
Alex

  • Supporting Multiple Registrars with CME

    Hello,
I am attempting to utilize the "Multiple Registrars on SIP Trunks" IOS feature with my Call Manager Express.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/voice/sip/configuration/guide/sip_cg-multi-registrars.html
I want to register to a BroadSoft via two different Edge Session Border Controllers.
I have configured the two registrars, but I have a problem when those registration methods go out. Since I am registering to a BroadSoft, I need the registering SIP URI to look like this:
    REGISTER sip:test.domain:6034
    From:[email protected]
This works fine when I use a single registration. But when I try to use multiple registrations I get:
    REGISTER sip: 11.11.11.11:6034
    From:[email protected]
Which the BroadSoft rejects because the SIP URI does not include “test.domain”
Has anyone else had any experience with multiple registrations with BroadSoft? Thanks in advance.

  • Cisco 2811 - Multiple SIP with CME 8.6

    PLAN:
Configure two SIP providers with my Cisco ISR 2811 using CME 8.6
    sip.fongo.com
    sip.voicediscount.com
All incoming and local outgoing calls using fongo, while long distance & international via voipdiscount.
I have successfully got fongo.com service to work for both incoming and outgoing, however when I try a long distance & international calls I get a busy tone.
Any help will be appreciated since I've had no luck

  • Need a sample cme with multiple fxo ports, hunt fashion

    hi,
anyone kind enough to provide a sample working configuration of multiple fxo ports (each being a pstn line) and I assuming the telco is doing hunting...
so let's say 4 lines, if line 1 is busy the call is sent by the telco on line 2 and so on...
    incoming and outgoing.
    thank you very much!!
I did google it and can't find anything with multiple fxo ports.

    trunk group 1
max-calls voice 4 (or however many POTS lines you want to use)
hunt-scheme round-robin (or whatever method you like)
    voice-port 0/0/0
    trunk-group 1
    connection plar opx XXXX (extension)
    caller-id enable
    voice-port 0/0/1
    trunk-group 1
    connection plar opx XXXX
    caller-id enable
    voice-port 0/0/2
    trunk-group 1
    connection plar opx XXXX
    caller-id enable
    voice-port 0/0/3
    trunk-group 1
    connection plar opx XXXX
    caller-id enable
dial-peer voice 1 pots ( I like creating this for troubleshooting, by default cisco router accept incoming calls)
    trunkgroup 1
    incoming called-number .
    direct-inward-dial
    dial-peer voice 2 pots
    trunkgroup 1
destination-pattern 8[2-9]......           (8 for an outside line or 9 or nothing, then adjust your forward-digits to match)
    forward-digits 7
    dial-peer voice 3 pots
    trunkgroup 1
    destination-pattern 81[2-9]..[2-9]......
    forward-digits 11
    dial-peer voice 4 pots
    trunkgroup 1
    destination-pattern 8911
    forward-digits 3
    dial-peer voice 5 pots
    trunkgroup 1

  • How to configure multiple sip registers ?

I have a CME with several cisco phones and 1 SIP TSP. SIP trunk is registered and calls are coming in and out, but the thing is that only 1 active call can be made. If one is active second call cannot be made. I contacted our TSP, they have asterisk on their side and they said that if I want to use more channels I have make more registers with different usernames.  Router model is 2900 with universal  IOS 15.2. this is the old config of sip-ua :
    sip-ua
credentials username xxxxxxxxxxx password 7 0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx realm xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
authentication username xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    no remote-party-id
    max-forwards 15
    registrar ipv4:xxxxxxxxxxxxx expires 600
    host-registrar
and this is the new one:
    sip-ua
credentials username xxxxxxxxxxxx password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx realm xxxxxxxxxxxxx
credentials username xxxxxxxxxxxx password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx realm xxxxxxxxxxxxx
authentication username xxxxxxxxxx password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    no remote-party-id
    max-forwards 15
    registrar 1 ipv4:xxxxxxxxxxxxx expires 600
    registrar 2 ipv4:xxxxxxxxxxxxx expires 600
    host-registrar
actually the realms and registar-s are the same IP addresses, passwords are also the same, only difference is in username. The thing is that I cannot enter new authentiation parameters, when I enter the new one it replaces the old one.
and this is the register status :
    show sip-ua register status
    --------------------- Registrar-Index  1 ---------------------
    Line                             peer       expires(sec) registered P-Associ-URI
    ================================ ========== ============ ========== ============
    9954932203300                    20002      64           yes
    9954932203301                    -1         64           no
    --------------------- Registrar-Index  2 ---------------------
    Line                             peer       expires(sec) registered P-Associ-URI
    ================================ ========== ============ ========== ============
    9954932203300                    20002      68           yes
    9954932203301                    -1         68           no
as you can see second username cannot register.
    So I have 2 questions:
    1) Does cisco router's SIP trunk support more than one channels ( simultineous calls) or not?
    2) If it doesnot support , how can I add second register and what is needed to use it for several calls at a time?

Support for Multiple Registrars on SIP Trunks on a Cisco Unified Border Element, on Cisco IOS SIP TDM Gateways, and on Cisco Unified Communications Manager Expres:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/voice/cube/configuration/guide/vb_9655.html
Restrictions for Support for Multiple Registrars on SIP Trunks
The Support for Multiple Registrars on SIP trunks feature has the following restrictions:
•Old and new forms of the registrar command are mutually exclusive: the registrar can be configured in  either primary/secondary mode or multiple registrar mode—not both.
•Dynamic  Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) support is not available with  multiple registrars (available for primary/secondary mode only).
•Only one authentication configuration per username can be configured at any one time.
•A maximum of six registrars can be configured at any given time.
•A maximum of 12 different realms can be configured for each endpoint.

This is my running config that I have so far.  The issue I'm having is that I can't access the web interface to do any configuring.  I am currently hooked up to a DMZ which is on a 192.168.100.1 ip scheme.  I am just doing testing of this phone system before I put it in our business to run 100%.  At the moment the only thing holding me back is the web interface my boss wants me to be able to access the web interface so then I can configure clients easier.  The farthest I've gotten was at 10.10.1.1 I got a page that loads that asks me for my username and password and then it says something about QoS Device Manager - Configure and monitor QoS through the web interface.  When I click on that it takes me to a 404 error page.  I've looked over my IPs as I posted above multiple times to try and figure out what I'm doing wrong.  I at first was having DHCP issues with my laptop and the switch the router was hooked up to, but I got that figured out.  Then I thought it might have been vlans but when I did a show vlan-switch I noticed there were only 1 - type = enet, 1002 - type = fddi, 1003 - type = tr, 1004 - type = fdnet, and 1005 - type =  trnet.
I noticed I posted this in the wrong area from before.  To update what I've done from then till now.  All the CME files have been loaded into flash like I was reading in other posts.  I did a show flash and everything seems to be in there that I need.  I determined the page that is loading up after I type 10.10.1.1 or 192.168.100.2 in my web browser is the router itself.  I have this hooked up to a DMZ like I said before and it keeps giving my laptop 2 default gateways one being 0.0.0.0 and the other being 10.10.1.1, not sure why it's doing that.  My laptop is receiving and 10.10.1.21 address from the router and I have the router hooked up to the DMZ under 192.168.100.2.  We were having issues with an older version of CME so I upgraded to 8.6, I'm using a test router to make sure everything is working before I implement it into our real phone system.  Still can't get a web interface to show up.  I don't think my ip route command is right but that's how it was in the old config from the phone system we have now.  I did a backup of that config and editted everything based off the backup config.  Somewhere I think in my config I believe I have something wrong pertaining to an IP address but I can't see it.  Been working on this all day and haven't gotten anywhere.

  • Can I use SRST for multiple sites wit separate 911 lines

Is it possible to use an SRST (like a 2911 CME/SRST) to support multiple sites.
We have two sites next door to each other. They are connected by fiber with Cisco switches (vlans) at box sites.
Can I use a single SRST and have two separate 911 POTS lines setup so that each site has it's own unique 911 associated with it?
I can create two separate Voice vlans for the two sites and I could have both 29xx interfaces in use (one for each VLAN), but can I separate the dialing out function so that each vlan uses a unique POTS line this way?
Any other solutions other than two SRSTs?

We have to keep the 911 dialing the same at all sites since I already had an idea like that ...but we use 911, 9911 and 8911 for everyone to reach 911 so that they are not confused during an outage.
We will just have to bite the bullet and order 2901 SRSTs for all our small remote sites.

  • Unity 4.2(1) and CME 4.1(0) Error - CME ports reregister every 60 seconds

    Hello,
I have an integration between Unity 4.2(1) and CME 4.1(0) which, until Friday last week was working fine.
I got a complaint that users couldn't get theri voicemail and have found that the ports on CME unregister and register every 60 seconds (see below)
Has anyone seen this before and knows a solution.
I've checked that the TSP v8.2(1) is supported for both and I've completely removed the config from CME and redone, but no change.
    Any Ideas ?
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi,
I have already booted the server, had no choice as Unity shut down completely when I made a change in UTIM !
The only events I see are in the App log of EventViewer and they're merely telling me via a TSP error that a port has unregistered.
The Unity server has multiple integrations, ports : 24 to CM4, 6 to CM7 and 2 to CME. (32 ports in total)
Only the CME has any issues and it was working perfectly well for the last 3 months !
    Any thoughts?

  • Multiple Line Items in One Service Entry Sheet

    Dear All,
Can we capture multiple line Items of same PO in one Service Entry Sheet
If yes,Please can you give some steps to do the same.
    Regards
    Murali raju

    Hello,
We need to create a service entry sheet seperately for every line items of the PO.But you can create Service entry sheets for multiple lines with in that Line item.
Ex. if u have 2 line item in the PO,
Every line item of the PO will have Multiple services in the Item details..So these Multiple service number Entries shall be treated in the same Service Entry sheet. But not the 2 nd Line itme ot the Purchase order as it will have another set of Service entries.
Please cme back if u hv queries..

  • CME Install question

    HI All,
I am trying to install CME  9 on a new 2951 router with firmward 15.2(4)m2 . I was following the installation instructions and it says..
Use the zip program to extract the file to be installed, then:
    a. If the file is an individual file, use the copy command to copy the files to router flash: Router# copy tftp://x.x.x.x/P00307020300.sbn flash: b. If the file is a tar file, use the archive tar command to extract the files to flash memory. Router# archive tar /xtract source-url flash:/file-url
But the unzipped files did not contain any TAR file, instead it had multiple folders and files. Is there any way todo bulk upload or do I have to do this one by one? Also I am concered of the space since the flash appears to have some files on it already and the downloaded zip file is at 350 megs. Please let me know how to proceed. Here are the contents of the flash
    yourname#sh flash

  • Caller-id Problem in ISDN with CME 4.1

    Dear all,
I am using CME 4.1 with ISDN PRI. I have got two DID ranges which is mapped to my Ephone's.
    dialplan-pattern 1 677011.. extension-length 3
    dialplan-pattern 2 677013.. extension-length 3
When user from extension 1.. calls outside then no problem at all.Caller id displays their DID number exactly as 67701174(Eg: if the call made from 174 extension).
When user from Extension 330 - 339 dials out, then the caller id displays as the mainnumber. The reason for displaying main number is if the calling number is different from the DID range allotted then Telco switch will send the main ISDN number.
I tried debugging isdn q931 and found only calls going out from extension 330-339 show as 677067701334(Eg: If i call from extension 334). You can see there is additional digit of 6770 in front of the DID number.
There is no destination pattern clash with any dial-peer also.
Please find attached debug ccapi inout for your reference.
    Kindly help..
    Thanks
    Manoj

Hi, apparently multiple "dialplan-pattern' have problems, something similar happened to me when I tried, so it can be a bug.
Just use translation-profile and rules at voice-port level and make the changes in there.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

  • FAC in CME 9.1

    Hello ,

    Hi,
the FAC in CME is a bit tricky.
FAC call flow in CME like follow
    1) IP Phone user dials a particular pattern (international destination, for example)
    2) If this destination is enabled for FAC, the user will hear a voice prompt asking for an Account number and PIN
    3) The user enters the Account/PIN pair. If valid, the call proceeds, if not the call is dropped.
    - If the authentication fails after three retries, the call drops without notification.
    Configuration Steps:
1- upload "enter_account.au" and "enter_pin.au" to the flash files. you can record these files.
2- Enter the following commands in configuration mode (in this example the Account and PIN are three digits long).  This forces a user id and pid length, but it not required:
    application
     service clid_authen_collect
param uid-len 3              *length id 3 characters (can be user ext)
      param pin-len 3              *length pin 3 characters
3- Create usernames for authentication. Notice that the username/password will represent the Account and PIN that the caller will have to dial to be successfully authenticated. You can create multiple usernames and then hand those out to select personnel that will be allowed to place premium calls. In this example both Account and PIN are three digits long.
    aaa new-model
    aaa authentication login h323 local
aaa authorization exec h323 local and network authorization
aaa authorization network h323 local for h323
    username 107 password 123
    username 107 autocommand exit
    4- Create dial-peer cor
    voice lpcor custom
     group 1 manager
     group 2 users
    voice lpcor policy manager
     service fac
     accept manager fac
     accept users fac
    dial-peer cor custom
     name international
      name fac-int
     name user-fac
    dial-peer cor list int
     member international
    dial-peer cor list fac-int
     member fac-int
    dial-peer cor list user-fac
     member user-fac
5- Create a dial-peer for each pattern that you want cover using this application.
    dial-peer voice 400 voip
     corlist incoming fac-int
     corlist outgoing user-fac
     service clid_authen_collect
     destination-pattern 900T
     session target ipv4:CME address
     incoming called-number 900T
     dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
     codec g711ulaw
     no vad
    dial-peer voice 69 pots
     corlist outgoing fac-int
     translation-profile outgoing DiscardDigit9
     preference 3
     destination-pattern 900T
     port 0/0/0
     forward-digits all
     no sip-register
6- assign the proper cor list to match voip dial-peer for FAC
    HTH
    Anas

  • CME local Directory as File

    Hi,
is there a way to make a company wide adressbook of customer as File ?. Is it  possible to give the cme the Numbers and Names over  a XML Files ?
    Philipp

    Hi Philipp,
To replace the Local Directory in CME with your own custom directory, you need a web server that is reachable from the phones.  On the server, you need to create at least two .xml files.  The first one is a Menu file and your directories url should point to it.
The file format looks like this:
    Select a directory
    Sample Directory
    http://x.x.x.x/directory.xml
Of course, you need to replace 1x.x.x.x with the ip address of your web server.
The second file is a Directory file.  This is the "directory.xml" file referenced in the Menu file, and it looks like this:
          System Fast Dials
          abc
          2700
          Help
          2708
This will work for up to 32 entries.  If you have more than that, you have to break it up into multiple pages.  Navigating between pages can be done one of two ways.  Your directory.xml file could actually be another menu, similar to the Menu file above but with multiple entries pointing to different Directory files, or you can add a Next softkey in the Directory file to load the next page.
Here is how you would add a Next softkey (you have to redefine all of the softkeys):
        Dial
        SoftKey:Dial
        1
        EditDial
        SoftKey:EditDial
        2
        Exit
        SoftKey:Exit
        3
        Next
        http://x.x.x.x/directory2.xml
        4
This goes somewhere within the tag, either at the top or the bottom.  On subsequent pages, you can also add a Prev softkey to load the previous page.
    Refer http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmedirs.html for more information.
    Hope this Helps.
    Tx,
    Shalu

  • Multiple SSID With Multiple VLANs configuration on Cisco Aironet APs: Assotiated clients cannot obtain IP addresses

    Hi Surendra,
I was just given this task to see how i can configure a second ssid for guest access in our environment.
this is our network setup prior to this request: Internet----Firewall (not ASA)---ce520---C1131AG and CME router is also connecting to the ce520 switch. we only have two vlans: one for voice and two for data.
Presently, there is no vlan configured on the AP because it on broadcasting ont ssid and wireless users gets IP from a windows DHCP server on the LAN. the configuration on the ce520 switch port for the AP and other switches say access vlan is the DATA vlan which automatically becomes the native vlan for all trunk port connecting the AP and other Stiches to the network.
Now with this new requirement, i have made my research and i have configured the AP to broadcast both the production and the guest Vlans. The two vlans are 20-DATA and 60-Guest. I made the DATA vlan on the AP the native vlan since the poe switch is using the DATA vlan as native on the trunk ports. I configured the firewall to serve as DHCP server for the guest ssid and i have added the ip helper-address on the guest vlan interface on all switches while the windows server remains the dhcp server for the production DATA Vlan. I have confirmed that the AP, switches can ping the default gateway of the guest dhcp server which is another interface on the firewall. I can now see and connect to all broadcasted ssids but the problem is I am not getting IP addresses from both the production dhcp server and guest dhcp server when i connected to the ssid one at a time.
My AP config is attached below.
Please tell me what am I doing wrong.
Do i need to redesign the whole network to have a native vlan other nthan the data vlan?
Does the access point need to be aware of the voice vlan?
Do the native Vlan on the AP need to be in Bridge-group 1 or can i leave it in bridge-group 20?
I will greatly appreciate your urgent response.
    Thanks in advanced.

    Hi,
As far as i know we dont set the ip helper address on the radio interface. It should be on the L3 interface of corresposding VLANs i.e.
    int vlan 20
    ip helper-address 192.168.33.xxx
    int vlan 60
    ip helper-address 130.20.1.xxx
I'm assuming that your using SVI's (int Vlan 20 and int Vlan 60) rahter than physical interfaces. Also hope you have configured switch port as trunk where this AP is connected.
Modify the AP config as below since you are using data vlan as the native vlan
    interface Dot11Radio0.20
    encapsulation dot1Q 20 native
    interface FastEthernet0.20
    encapsulation dot1Q 20 native
Ideally your AP fastethernet configuration should looks like below and not sure how you missed this as this comes by default when you have multiple vlans for multiple ssids.
    interface FastEthernet0.20
    encapsulation dot1Q 20 native
    no ip route-cache
    bridge-group 20
    no bridge-group 20 source-learning
    bridge-group 20 spanning-disabled
    interface FastEthernet0.60
    encapsulation dot1Q 60
    no ip route-cache
    bridge-group 60
    no bridge-group 60 source-learning
    bridge-group 60 spanning-disabled
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Najaf
