Multiple Computer associations

I have replace my laptop twice while using the same iPod Classic / 160 GB. After setting up iTunes on my newest laptop, I got a message that my iPod is now associated with 3 computers with a maximum of 5 available. I've only ever been associated with one! Is there some way to change this so my iTunes realizes that I'm only associated with one computer?

Hello Bernbuzz,
And welcome to Apple Discussions!
The authorizations alerts you are receiving actually deal with how many computers you have authorized to play your purchased content from the iTunes store. If you have computer with multiple authorizations, see this Apple support document for steps on how to resolve this issue.

    - Try contacting iTunes for the password problem:
    Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us
    - For the other problem you can try a reset. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - The next standard thing to do is to download/install a new app but you cant 'do that.
    - Instead, try restoring from backup.

    No, a Lightroom catalog cannot be on a networked drive, and can only be accessed by a single user at a time.

  • How to store multiple values associated to one key

    hello all
    In my program I need to store "multiple values associated to one key".
    for example : key would be ="T"
                             Values are    = 2,4,5,1,2Plz tell me which data structure I can use for this purpose.
    I have tried Hashtable for it, unfortunately it does not support duplicate keys in one Hashtable.
    Thanx.
    Rakesh

    The easiest thing to do, is store another data structure as your value for a
    particular key. So "T" being your your key, you would associate the value
    to be an int[] (if you know the number of sub values) or create a new Vector
    for each key, then you don't have to worry about the number of values at
    compile time. All the while still using the Hashtable for constant time
    look up. So like this:
    public void storeMultValues(int[] arr)
      Vector v = new Vector();
      v.add(new Integer(1));
      v.add(new Integer(2));
      v.add(new Integer(3));
      this.hashtable.put("T", v);
    }See if you can work with that.

  • Multiple images associated with a page.

    I want some pages to have multiple images associated with them.  Currently, you can insert one image per page using the page properties.  What if you want to have multiple images associated with a page?  For example, you might want to have a large image, small image, a logo image, and an icon (all different images not just different sizes).  I was thinking of overriding the page propties and adding those images to the dialog.  Any thoughts?

    Awstewar1,
       Actually, the only use to image associated with page properties that I know is to use it on carousels. I realy don't see a need to do what you want, because you can get this "multi-render" effect directly from DAM. If you double click your asset on DAM, on the right side of the page there is multi-size samples, and you can even change this, and you can even use this multi-sized images, referencing the direct path that DAM generates to you.
      Maybe if you tell us your needs, we can think about another solutions (:
    Regards.

  • Multiple computer syncing

    Is this even posible. I have multiple computer 1 main at the office and two at home (all mac of cause) can i sync on them without deleting what was sync on the other? Just need to know if anyone had success with this issue.

    You can sync different content with different computers. For example, you could synch your contacts and calendar with your office computer, and your media (music, videos, etc.) from your home computer.
    The details are in this article:

  • SCCM Replace method migration for XP-to-W7 without creating computer associations?

    Hi all
    We want to use the Replace Method for our XP-W7 migration but do we have to create a computer association between the old and new machine name for every machine to be migrated (2500+)? If so, this does not appear to be practical because we don’t know what
    the new machine name will be for every old machine to be migrated until we image machines with Windows 7, which is likely to be on the same day.
    So, how can we use the Replace Method without creating computer associations please?
    Best regards
    Scott

    MDT 2012 SP1 is integrated with ConfigMgr 2012.
    We are testing a UDI solution, however, when we click “Preview” on the Refresh stage group we get the error “Unable to launch wizard in preview mode – OSDSetupWizard.exe was not found in the expected path”.  This is preventing us from
    checking that the changes we have made to the capture/restore settings will work or not. This error does not occur when we "Preview" the NewComputer stage group and we have checked OSDSetupWizard.exe does exist in \\<server>\MDT Toolkit\Tools\x64
    and \\<server>\MDT Toolkit\Tools\x86.
    1. How do we overcome this error to allow us to preview the Refresh stage group please?
    2. Do we need to specify the DEPLOYMENTTYPE variable in the customsettings.ini and if so, do we need 3 different customsettings.ini files for each scenario (DEPLOYMENTTYPE=NewComputer, DEPLOYMENTTYPE=Refresh and DEPLOYMENTTYPE=Replace)?
    Kind regards
    Scott

  • HT1386 I had to change the computer I have iTunes installed on, my iPhone is still looking for the old computer to sync over WiFi.  How do I change the WiFi computer associated to my iPhone?

    I had to change the computer I have iTunes installed on, my iPhone is still looking for the old computer to sync over WiFi.  How do I change the WiFi computer associated to my iPhone?

    Hi Terri571,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    See these steps for setting up Wi-Fi syncing between your iPhone and new computer:
    iOS: Syncing with iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386
    Wi-Fi syncing
    Open iTunes
    To set up Wi-Fi syncing, connect your iOS device to your computer with the included USB cable. Select your device under Devices on the left-hand side.
    In the Summary tab, select "Sync with this [device] over Wi-Fi".
    Whenever the computer and the iOS device are on the same network, the iOS device will appear in iTunes, and you can sync it. The iOS device will sync automatically when all of the following are true:
    The iOS device is plugged in to power
    iTunes is open on the computer
    The iOS device and the computer are on the same Wi-Fi network
    While the iOS device appears in the left-hand column of iTunes, you can select the content tabs and configure sync options.
    Click Apply or Sync to sync the iOS device.
    If the iOS device does not appear in the Devices section or you are unable to sync, please see this article for troubleshooting.
    Best,
    Jeremy

  • Remove direct computer association from collection by script

    Currently i have a OSD task sequence that is advertised to a specific collection. The aim of this task sequence reimages machines that are currently on the network, that for some reason or another has a problem which is easier solved by reimaging.
    At the moment i simply create a direct computer association in the collection and then the machine receives the job and it all works fine.
    I'd like to be able to remove the direct computer association from this collection after the job has finished automatically. Is this possible by adding in an additional task sequence to run a script?Matt Summer

    I used the code below and changed the specifics to my environment.  I put in my SMS server, site code, collection ID, my username/pass and also identified a specific computer name for testing purposes.  The script runs successfully without any
    errors but the object doesn't get deleted.  I can't figure out where its going wrong.  I updated collection membership and refreshed everything, but no dice, the computer object is still there.  I don't know if it makes a difference, but the
    object I am trying to delete was manually created by me for testing purposes.
    I am running the script manually from the SCCM server using cscript, this is NOT part of a task sequence.  I just want people to be able to remove SCCM objects via script (and eventually a front end) instead of going into the console.
    You could add a step at the very end of the task sequence running a vb-script that removes the resource from the collection, something like the following:
    On Error Resume Next
    Dim oNetwork, oLocator, oSWbemServices, oCollection
    Dim sComputerName, sSMSServer, sSMSSiteCode, sCollectionID, RuleSet
    Set oNetwork = CreateObject("WScript.NetWork")
    sComputerName = oNetwork.ComputerName
    sSMSServer = "SCCM"
    sSMSSiteCode = "CEN"
    sCollectionID = "CEN00001"
    sUserName = "Domain\Username"
    sUserPassword = "Password"
    Set oLocator = CreateObject("WbemScripting.SWbemLocator")
    oLocator.Security_.AuthenticationLevel = 6
    Set oSWbemServices = oLocator.ConnectServer(sSMSServer, "root\sms\site_" & sSMSSiteCode, sUserName, sUserPassword)
    Set oCollection = oSWbemServices.Get("SMS_Collection='" & sCollectionID & "'")
    RuleSet = oCollection.CollectionRules
    For Each Rule In RuleSet
        If Rule.Path_.Class = "SMS_CollectionRuleDirect" Then
            If LCase(Trim(Rule.RuleName)) = LCase(Trim(sComputerName)) Then
                oCollection.DeleteMembershipRule Rule
            End If
        End If
    Next
    WScript.Quit(0)
    Just make sure the user you use has the apropriate rights in SCCM (rights on collection + connect rights), you probably should make it a service account that can't log on and strip it of every other right it doesn't need as the password is clear text and somone
    could possibly snatch it.

  • MDT Replace Scenario - Computer Association

    I'm in the middle of preparing for a Win7 migration and I had a few questions.
    I want to use the Replace Scenario in MDT; this means I will have to use the replace task sequence to backup the users data via USMT on the old computer
    and then use a standard task sequence to install Windows 7 and restore the users data on the new computer.
    With SCCM you can create computer associations between the old computer and the new computer. However, I'm not sure what needs to be done in MDT to associate the old computer with the new one. I would want to do this so the replace process is more automated.
    Here's what I want and #2 is where I need more insight into:
    1) Run the Replace task sequence on the old computer running Windows XP. (I will provide the network share and other details to automate this)
    2) When I run the standard sequence to install Win7 on the new machine, I would like it to look at the MDT database or something else and see the "relationship" and restore the USMT from the backup from the old computer from step 1, without having
    to manually point to the backup.
    Any ideas?

    Sounds cool.
    There is nothing like that out of the box with MDT, however it should be possible with some scripting.
    I have done some techniques before where I have created network folders that can be "created' and written by users, but not "read" by other users.
    http://xtremeconsulting.com/blog/litetouch-folder-permissions/
    Then you can store the saved data in a common file.
    I would then create a UserExit script to "search" for saved USMT folders, auto-populating the found values so they appear in the restore wizard page.
