Multiple computer installations?

I use logic on my studio G5, as well as a Macbook - I just take my dongle with me...
With the removal the dongle key, does anyone know if I'll still be able to use it on both of my computers?

So it looks like we get a license for a laptop and a tower...... which erm means, we can run both simultaneously..... and save our dongle for our older models...... which means I can get two assistants working on separate rigs without forking out for new instances..... nice.
....but I have lots of screens, am I not going to be able to stuff my mixer on one, audio pool on another? Does everything have to live on one screen?

  • Please demystify the "multiple computer" installation scenario.

An Apple employee told me I can buy Lion once and install it on all the computers in the home (we have four Macs).
I purchased and installed Lion on my computer BEFORE I saw the nifty trick about burning the InstallESD.dmg to a DVD to make installing on the other computers much easier. With that option gone, it seems the only way to install it on another family member Mac is to use their Mac and log in to the App Store with MY account and then it wants to verify MY credit card info before proceeding with a download. Does this mean that my App Store account is forever going to be linked with these other family members' Macs and now they're going to be able to download stuff from the App Store and bill it to my credit card? I do not like this scenario one bit and for the life of me can't find a logical explanation to how this whole process works from anywhere on Apple's website and their "live chat support" is just as clueless. Please advise.
BTW, I have tried to re-download the installer to my computer so I can copy it to the DVD, but the App Store won't let me. It simply says "INSTALLED" and there's nothing else I can do!

Only if you do not log out of your MAS account. Once you log out, they won't be able to purchase anything on your account.

There's a little trick to it. Open MAS, then while holding down the Option key click Purchases. The "installed" button will change to "install" and you'll be able to download it again.

I need the full install for firefox, to install on multiple computers. Multiple Firefox downloads uses too much internet data download budget. I cannot find a link to the full install. Satellite internet has limited data usage budgets.

  • Multiple computer installation?

If I purchase Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, can I install it on my PC, and on my wife's MacBook Pro?

    Rave wrote:
You cannot install a single purchase of Photoshop Elements 11 on Windows as well as MAC, that is, the serial number for Photoshop Elements 11 for Windows is different from that for MAC. You have 2 buy 1 retail license for both the OS to be able to do that.
As per Adobe's End User License Agreement, a retail license of a software can be used to install on 2 systems provided both are on the same platform (OS).
Lightroom, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements are three exceptions to that normal Adobe rule. They're cross-platform licenses. Same serial number works on Windows and/or Mac (max of 2 activations for Elements).
Elements has been cross-platform since version 9

  • Multiple computer installation help?

I'm running Adobe Cloud on both my Mac desktop and my laptop. I am having tech issues with the screen on the laptop (retina 'ghosting') and may need to have it replaced. Is there any way to backup the programs I have already downloaded? Or would I need to deactivate the programs before taking the laptop to the Genuis Bar? And if so, would that mean I then need to download all programs again in the event that my laptop is replaced? Is there anyway to get around having to download everything twice?
I'm taking my laptop to the Mac Genuis Bar tomorrow and want to make sure I'm fully backed-up and prepared for the worst.
    Thanks

There is no way to back-up the installed programs in a way that they remain functional after a restore dur to the specifics of the licensing and activation system. Deactivating and signing out of CC might be a good idea in case something goes wrong, but when it does, you'll end up reinstalling everything.

No, a Lightroom catalog cannot be on a networked drive, and can only be accessed by a single user at a time.

  • Multiple BAM installations on the same machine?

    Hi guys,
I have a customer with the following requirement:
"We have installed BAM 10.1.3.3 with EL and upgraded to 10.1.3.4. It is currently using a remote database 10.2.0.3 in our test envt. We want to use the same Windows server for monitoring our Development enviroment also using the Dev database. Is it feasible or will it corrupt the IIS of the windows machine already running BAM 10.1.3.4. Please provide your recommendations on this, whether to have separate windows servers or we can have multiple BAM installations on same server."
    Any ideas on this?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Issue with multiple application installation and server share

    Hi,
    SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 ICP2
    All servers W2K8R2
I am having an issue with software installs.  When using a variable for multiple applciation installs, I get access errors when the applications go to install.  It appears to be a multiple connection issue, but I can't figure out why.
I am using server shares for my DPs.  The proper permissions are set.  The servers (DP) are W2K8R2.  I think it has to do with the way R2 handles the conenctions.  I want to know if this is a known issue or if anyone has come accross
    it.
I am going to post in the software distribution forum as well, but thought this would be a config question.

Hi! I'm waking up this dead thread but I've got a *very* similar problem!
I've got a SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 installation on Win2008.  All clients are in the same ConfigMgr-site. Multiple package deploy in the same site-boundary as the CM-server works excellent. (We've got  three DPs in the same site-boundary as the
    CM-server itself.)
Now, we have a new site-boundary with it's own Protected DP where multiple package deploy fails
but the same packages, being run from the task-sequnce works! So then the client can download, install and run the packages from the proteced DP just fine. All "single" packages install fine before the "Multiple Appliaction"-step.
I've tripple checked that we're running the same packages when we're installing Multiple Packages as we do in the Task-Sequence. And
the same Task-sequence with the Multiple Package installation step
works fine in our site-boundary where the ConfigMgr-server is installed.
Here's the log from a client trying to access and install one of three packages through the the Install Multiple Packages task-sequence step.

I know that the TS checks package dependencies before executing the TS. That's not possible with Multiple packages since they are variable dependant. I think this is somehow related although it doesn't explain why my client can't authenticate properly.
The Network Access Account is a member of Domain Users and Domain Users have Read Access on the share and on the folder of the VAXCMDP01 DP - which should be identically configured to our other DPs closest to our ConfigMgr Server.
    Any ideas?

  • How to determine Oracle_Home default from multiple home installation?

Does anyone know how to determine the current Oracle Home default in the registry when multiple Oracle Home exists?
Both 8i and multiple 9i Version X's exist on a client machine. We need to determine the current default oracle home to determine path for various drivers.
In analyzing the Oracle Home registry keys I have been unable to find a means for identifying the current Oracle Home default.

Thank you for you reply, your advice is good. Unfortunately our application has to deal with all kinds of Oracle configurations and one of those is the multi-home issue. We have looked throughout the registry particular in the HKLM\SOFTWARE\ORACLE|ALL_HOMES\
but have not found any entry that would indicate a default home. One two different system installation of multiple client installations there is no DEFAULT_HOME. We do have the HOME0, HOME1, ... HOME4 but, these are just sequencial based on when they where installed not on the order of preference or any default setting. Problem is our application needs to know the default home to locate the appropriate drives to use and appropriate connects service to look-up(tnsname) also.
    Thanks.

  • Multiple language installer for Adobe Reader

I need a compressed multiple language installer for Adobe Reader to install with my software.  Is one available?

When we requested a license to distribute the multi-language version of Adobe Reader with our software, we recieved the following link to a download:
    "For full installers: "
"To download the English language version of Adobe Reader 9 with Acrobat.com in compressed .exe format, click here."
When you click on the link, you get a single file (AdbeRdr11006_en_US.exe).  This is an installation for english only.  I am looking for a single .exe file for a multi-language installation.
The link you provided above is to a .zip file that must be extracted and then run.  This requires additional steps in our installation process.  We were hoping you have a single installation file to prevent these additional steps.

  • Multiple computer syncing

Is this even posible. I have multiple computer 1 main at the office and two at home (all mac of cause) can i sync on them without deleting what was sync on the other? Just need to know if anyone had success with this issue.

You can sync different content with different computers. For example, you could synch your contacts and calendar with your office computer, and your media (music, videos, etc.) from your home computer.
The details are in this article:
