Multiple computers can't be used?

My music is spread between 3 different laptops, and every time I try to get music from one of the three, I have to sync it, because the 'manually manage music' box is not checked. How can I get my music from all 3 comps without having to sync to one?
This wasn't/isn't an issue for my 3rd gen iPod touch. So, what's the deal?

The deal is this:  Using iPad or iPod with multiple computers, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1202 "iPod shuffle and iPhone are intended for use with a single computer. You cannot load music from multiple computers or iTunes libraries onto iPod shuffle and iPhone like you can with other devices."
So, you need to get all your music loaded on the computer you want to use for syncing.  These may help:

Can multiple computers in one office use the same Adobe ExportPDF subscription?

    Hi urinutrioned,
An ExportPDF subscription is tied to a single Adobe ID and password, so it's meant for a single user  to access.

  • Music and Video on Nas in folders but how do i set up itunes on multiple computers to see and use these files and create libraries?

Music and Video on Nas in folders but how do i set up itunes on multiple computers to see and use these files and create libraries?
So i have had a itunes set up on my old PC, bought a NAS and copied the folders over to the NAS, i did this incorrectly and so then even when i told the old PC to use that folder it saw all the songs but wasnt able to play the songs as it was looking in the incorrect place.
So now i want my Mac as well as my PC and others to all use the music, videos etc on the NAS they are in itunes friendly folders (as they were compiled this way by the itunes on the old PC.
When i tell the mac to use the itunes library.itl file it sees the song list (about 100gb) but cant see any songs, so i have removed this file to another location for now with the hope to set up a new file and then get it to see the songs on the folder from the NAS.
Can someone tell me how to do this for all the Mac's and PC's on my network as i really want one master library that all use and add too.
Thanks for your help in advance.

I have the same question but I am using two pc's

  • Using the same library with multiple computers over a network Use Aperture

Hi Everyone. I am researching some cataloguing/editing programs to recommend one to my boss, and I was wondering if it was possible to use the same library between multiple computers on a network. Does anyone know if this is possible? This may be what makes or breaks the decision on whether or not to go with Aperture as we need a program that can access a large database of photos on multiple computers.
    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum.
    You can do it, but...
    It's not supported by Apple.
Performance won't be great unless you're running a really fast network.
If more than one person tries to access the Library at one time you're likely to end up with a corrupted database, and there's no code in Aperture to limit access to one person at a time.
The Library must be stored on an HFS+ volume - don't even try putting it on a FAT32-formatted drive.
If you want 'proper' multi-concurrent-user network-enabled cataloguing software you're looking into a whole different level of investment than the low price of Aperture - think more in terms of thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars.

  • How to use one iPad on multiple computers on different networks using one AppleID

    Hi everybody.
I'm living in two places, 250 km distant, both equiped with PCs, one running Windows 7 and the other Windows XP. They run last version of iTunes ans I use the same Apple Id.
As one is the backup of the other, both have all the videos I'd like to broadcast on may iPad (not enough place, so no download). Some of them are TV shows I bought from iTunes, other one are personnal videos.
All was perfect on the first PC (the one running Windows 7) until I activate the same setups on the second one. Now all is fine on that PC, but home sharing on the first one doesn't work anymore. When I open Videos (the application) on iPad, the only thing I see on the menu is "TV show", wich allow me to download the TV shows I bought. I guess they are donwloaded from Internet, not from the computer running iTunes on the local network. And I don't see anymore the "shared" menu I saw before that allow me to broascast personnal videos.
The Apple support say that what I'd like to do is not supported yet, but I'm not shure they really understand my configuration.
Does anybody use successfully the same configuration, or did someone encounter the same problem ?
    Thank's

I do not understand the qestion.  When you get a CC subscription you get it for specific software... or you can get a plan that covers multiple applications.

  • Same iTunes Library on Multiple Computers

I was wondering whether someone could help me out a little here. I have 3 computers at home. A MacBook Pro, a Windows Vista Laptop and a Windows Vista desktop PC. Both my Wife and I have iPods (mine an iPhone and hers an 8Gb 2nd Generation Nano).
What I want to be able to do is access my iTunes music collection (the music files are currently stored on the MacBook) through any computer in the house (I have wireless through Time Capsule). This I am told is easy through iTunes sharing, however this does not allow you to connect your iPod to any machine and update it, as sharing does allow this.
Is there a way of storing the iTunes library and files on one machine, like a central server and then you can play music from any computer (perhaps using iTunes on that machine) and you can also plugin your iPod/iPhone into any machine in order to update it?
Looking forward to hearing peoples suggestions on this one.
    Thanks.

    Hello
    Try this website:

I have been using this solution with my Library and Music situated on a NAS for awhile now with great success.
    Hope this helps.

  • One Catalogue Multiple Computers

Is it possible to set up one lightroom catalog on a server so that multiple computers can all have access to it?

    Multiple simultaneous users: no.
Some people have invented schemes for sharing catalog via network when participating computers are only used one at a time  - do an internet search and you should be able to find many such discussions.

  • EULA clarification: can my wife use the software?

I would like to get a clarification to the EULA regarding the CC single-user license. In your EULA you state:
2.2.3 Restrictions. Customer agrees to the following additional terms and restrictions related to the Membership: (a) Adobe may change the type of Software (such as specific products, components, versions, platforms, languages, etc.) included in the Membership at any time and shall not be liable to Customer whatsoever for such change; (b) Customer may be required to connect to the Internet and log in at any time during the Membership Term; (c) Software may automatically connect to the Internet to verify Customer's Membership without notice at any time; and (d) Customer may not enable or allow others to use the Software as Customer.
I'm especially interested in the bolded part. Please answer this question:
If I have Creative Cloud installed on one or two computers, can my wife use the software during those moments when I am not actively using it? What does it actually mean when the EULA says others are not allowed to "use the software as Customer"?

    > Ankit Khurana
If so (what I don´t believe), the wording of your EULA isn´t correct and has to be updated.
The sentence "...Customer may not enable or allow others to use the Software as Customer" is explicit and declares that you are not allowed to enable anyone (than you) to use the SW (CashCow) you rent. It´s also the difference between CashCow and CashCow team renting, as I understood.
Once again: We can take your word, that the sentence above is not right, and users are allowed to enable other persons than the license-holder to use it.
Please confirm (as this could be seen as an "addition" to Adobes EULA) & I also know users who not subscribed because of this phrase.
Or/and please declare also how this words are meant, when it´s legal to ignore the phrase?

    Hi,
first, I'm not Adobe's "slave" as you might to accuse me. Most of the posters here are users like me.
I only can repeat that what I found in Adobe's help sites, as I wrote above. You are free to figure out the "real" truth and - the best would be - you may contact Adobe directly, here are - I'm sure you know them -  the links I would use: http://helpx.adobe.com/support.html  and http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html.

I'd suggest you consider a cloud-based file sharing service such as Dropbox for this sort of use. iOS is not designed to be synched with more than one iTunes library at a time, so attempting to use it as you describe, connecting a single iPad to multiple computers, almost certainly won't work as you intend and is likely to cause nothing but headaches.

  • I have multiple computers and iPhones and now iTunes will not allow my wife to load applications or use her own iTunes playlists.  How can I setup each device for each user correctly?

We have multiple computers and iPhone devices which I have passed on to other family members, such as my wife.  Now she is not able to load apps to her devices, eventhough it appear she is logged into her own iTunes account.  How can I setup iTunes correctly on each device?  Currently, there is one PC and one Mac laptop and we each have iPhones, with one other family member not able to use his 'passed-down' device for iTunes, also.

    Hello dal1820
Check out the article below on how to use multiple devices with one computer. The main idea that I want to point out is to have different users for each person as it is the easy way to make sure that no issue happen when syncing.

  • Can you use the programs in the creative cloud on multiple computers?

    Hey,
I was wondering if it is possible to use the programs on multiple computers when you have the membership?
    Thanks

    From the doc : http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html
"You can install the desktop applications available in Creative Cloud on your primary computer and one backup computer, as long as they are not running at the same time. You will have access to both the Mac OS and Windows versions, so if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, for instance, you can install your applications on both. See the product license agreements page for more information."

  • Can i use this download and install on multiple computers?

Can i use this download and install on multiple computers?

I assume you're talking about the Lion installer?  If so, yes, you're allowed to use it on any machines authorized with your Apple ID (which I believe means a maximum of five machines).  This is, of course, meant for family use...  I'm not sure about business use, but I'd suspect you need one copy per machine at a business.  If you're in that situation, you may want to wait for the $69 Lion flash drive Apple will be releasing next month sometime, as that won't be tied to an Apple ID.  But check with Apple to be sure on that.
