Multiple Contacts in Facetime

I seem to have 3 duplicates of every contact in Factime. My Addy book looks corrrect as well as my iPad contacts. Is there a way to make Facetime look just at the cloud for one Contacts list and not all devices ? If that is what is going on ???

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you want to delete some contacts from iCloud. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

Holding down the Shift key while you click in List view selects the first and second items, and all items in between.
iCloud: Delete a contact
To delete a contact completely, select the contact in the All Contacts list, then press the Delete key. Click Delete in the dialog that appears.

When I sync with my computer I get multiple contact with minor differences. I then pick the one I want in i-tunes, but I still get multiple contacts. I can physically delete each one, but that takes forever and the next time I sync I get all of them again.

The Apple ID was changed where on the device?
The Apple ID for the iTunes & App Store can be the same or different than the Apple ID registered with iMessage and FaceTime on the device.
Where it is changed for iMessage is at Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Apple ID.
Select the Apple ID and at the menu window that appears, select Sign Out. Sign back in there with the different Apple ID to register that Apple ID with the iPhone's phone number with iMessage.

I'm not seeing this on the page described, I can only add contacts one by one. Is this feature something I need to "turn on" somewhere in my settings?
In addition, I've noticed in the past month or so, even by adding contacts one-by-one, only around the first 40 people receive the request to be added as a contact. After that, no one receives invites. This is very frustrating for adding all of our business's contacts at the same time.
I've tried this in Mac 10.7.4 and 10.8. I've also switched to a PC, but the same thing happens. Does anyone have any insights?

Just an update (2013 Nov 25). There is now an option to add multiple contact using csv file. Here is a simple direction: Create a csv file with 2 columns 1st column is the email address and the 2nd column is the name of the account. Then go to Members > Add members > create business accounts > then click on Browse..., choose the file you just created and it should be able to import the contacts.

The Mail app doesn't have a spam filter, any filtering that you want to do needs to be done before it reaches the iPad - if you log into your account via a browser, does your email provider have any settings/options that you can enable ?

Used to be that you could click multiple contacts while holding down the Command key so they were all selected and appeared in the "TO" field of an email or Message. It seems that with Yosemite I have to select each recipient separately, then go back to the contacts list. I figure I'm doing something wrong (probably real obvious to all but me). I also want to know how I can send to a "GROUP" of recipients so that (a) all the cards in that group receive the email, and (b) none of the email addresses or recipients are visible (e.g., "Some Friends", or "Family" is all they see in the "To" field. Create a new group in your Contacts with those recipients. In Mail type the name of the group into the BCC field and hit the Tab key.
By using the BBC field the recipients will only see their name at the top and in the To field will be "Undisclosed recipients" in the To field when they receive it.

There is no group send option like you are looking for.
To send to a group you have to pick each person you want to send to and send as a group that way. Then don't delete that SMS thread and you can reuse it again later.
As for an app, well SMS works via your carrier and the OS, not something an App can do unless the app send the data to them (a third party) and then they relay it to the carrier. Do you really want to be sending your SMS to some 3rd party first?

HT3529 SMS sent to multiple contacts were converted into mms.

SMS sent to multiple contacts were converted into mms, text only 61 characters long including spaces. Carrier O2 have said it is an known issue with apple products. This has cost me £50 to say happy new year to my family and friends. Anyone know of this issue with iPhone. Called into apple store who were unaware of this? Everyone blaming each other as usual! Can't see in term and conditions for O2 or apple that this would happen. The message is stored on the phone as a text message! Thanks

Thanks Tim, apple say the same thing, carrier's method of handling multiple SMS creates this issue, can't see anywhere which alerts the customer to this on terms and conditions so back to O2 it is then!

I was thinking that if he wanted to create multiple keyframes he might be creating a repeated effect rather than manipulating values that are shot specific - like creating an oscillation or some repeated step effect. If he was creating keyframes specific to his content he'd probably not look for a way to do it "quickly" since each keyframe would require manipulation of specific values.
So my thought was to generate the series of keyframes on a dummy clip created for this specific purpose, copy the clip, paste attributes (maybe turn off "Scale Attribute Times") and add bunches of keyframes at once.
Still, you're right, it's tough to divine the intent of someone very new to FCP. His question could be based on a misunderstanding about the use of keyframes.

No, there's no mass delete or partial mass delete option.
If these are iCloud based contacts, you may find it easier to go to www.icloud.com and delete them there.
