Multiple Contacts Lists

Hi,
Is there any way to have multiple Contacts Lists on the iphone? I want to have one with my iphone contacts and a separate list that is synchromised with Mobile Me.Is that possible?

You can use the Group function on your MBP.
Establish a New Group in your Contacts on the MBP or icloud.com. These groups will the also appear on your iOS devices.

Could it be possible to make multiple contacts lists in iCloud, just like you can make multiple Calanders in iCloud.
This could help many people who have multiple iPhone's - Mac's or iPad's and wan't everything to Sync using one Aplle ID.
This way you don't need your wife's/husband's contacts in your iPhone, but you can see them all on your Mac or iPad wich you share.

With multiple contact lists, list title not correct

I have an original iPhone w/ 2.0 software, hooked up to my company's Exchange server. I created multiple contact folders on Exchange to categorize my contacts: Clients, Company, Friends, Family, etc.
The multiple folders show up just fine as Groups on the iPhone. The problem is that when I select one of the individual lists (e.g. Friends), the title on the list reverts to "All Contacts". The list still contains just Friends, but the title has changed.
Bug?

I noticed a lot of people read this question and judging by how many similar questions appear on this and other forums, it appears there is a lot of interest in this topic
I was finally able to resolve it by using a blackberry back up file (which contained all my contacts from the multiple address books on my device) and converting that data into outlook ready files. I had to use a third party tool to do this because you cannot directly import contacts to outlook from an .ipd file. I can provide the name of the tool if anyone wants but dont want it to look like I am spamming.
Once everything was in my desktop outlook it was easy to synch with my my device to get everything into the desktop address book and then delete the entries in the other addres books All a bit fiddly, a little bit time consuming but it got the job done.

Multiple contact lists: how do I merge them into one main list?

PLEASE HELP! I travel between two African countries regurlarly, and every time I do, I have to swap simcards (I do not roam). But, everytime I do, I find a new contact list has been created somehow in my Contacts.
I have about 7 entries now per contact as a result of this, and I'm desperate to merge them all into one main list. I'm also updating contact details, but have trouble saving them as my phone does not allow "duplicate names" (an option I selected), thus I have to delete all the other silly copies before I can change/update a contact. I did this because otherwise I don't know which contact (of the seven) has the updated info, forcing me to delete the others so I can keep track!
Please help!

You can connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software on your PC and go to Device > Delete > Select Data > and specifically select which Address Book databases you want to delete.
I would recommend that your FIRST do a complete backup of your BlackBerry while in the Desktop Software.

Multiple contact list for emailing -using Outlook f

Good afternoon,
I have a user that has set up a seperate contact group/list in her outlook 2003. She wants to be able to emal her secondary contact group from her blackberry while she is on the road. The question is can this be done?
Quick glance break down: Outlook 2003
-Contacts
+Global list
+Friends
On blackberry -Send email -starts typing letters-auto populates but from global ---- {user wishes to send friend and email } [ friends email address in not in the global list only in the friends contact list]

My address book groups in the Address Book on my Mac are synced and available on my iPhone, but addressing an email or an SMS to an address book group or distribution list is not supported - at the present time anyway.

Hi everyone. As I travel frequently for my business, I was wondering if I can separate my contacts into the different countries or categories. In fact, I 've found the option of "filter" in contact menu, but I am not sure how I can use it yet. Is there any way to save the contacts on media card? I appreciate any comment over this matter.

Firsst of all, you need to create the categories on Outlook, after this categorize the contacts, and synch the device with the pc.
Right now you can use the Filter option to see only the categorie you want.

Are you missing individual contact entries or entire contact lists? If they are contact lists, are you missing multiple contact lists or one only? If they are individual contacts, are they all from the same contact list?
How were these contacts originally added to your BlackBerry Z10 smartphone?
Can you please provide more detail on the second issue with your Yahoo! email? Is this the same email account the missing contacts you previously mentioned were associated with?
Is this same information also missing from your Yahoo! account when you access it from a computer?
Did you try to re-add your Yahoo! email account? If so, can you tell me what happened when you tried?

Yes, once you select a person from your Contacts app, you either need to select more from the '+' button or you can tap in the 'to:' field and type in the first few letters of a contact and select from the list. Kinda bummer but gotta make do.

Try this:
1. Select Mail>File>New Message.
2. Select Mail>Window>Address Panel.
3. Use (command+click) on the desired addressees in the Address Panel to create the list.
4. Click "To:" on the top left of the Address Panel.
The group that you selected will be added to the "To" field in your New Message.

Sorry, but Address Book does not allow you to select more than one email address to send to in a group. There's really no reason why people need multiple copies of a message, anyway; they have the option of forwarding email to another email address of theirs.

You use BCC instead of TO when addressing the message.
BCC = Blind Carbon Copy
The easiest way to do this is using the Contact Sidebar in the Write window. Press F9 to turn it on when a Write window is open.
Select all the contacts for the message. Hold the control key while clicking the contacts to select multiples. Then use the Add to BCC button at the bottom.

All devices signed into the same iCloud account will finish up with the same contacts. Of course if prior to joining iCloud two family members each had an entry for Uncle Fred, then you will finish up with two contact cards for Uncle Fred, and so on. If you tidy this up on your computer then the changes will propagate to everyone else.

How do I add one contact to multiple distribution lists?

I have employees that work on more than one project and therefore need to be on multiple distribution lists. Outlook groups is able to accomplish this but I can not get it to work on my MAC using Mail and Contacts.
For Example, John needs to be on the following lists:
Entire Team
Project A
Project B
Problem I am facing is that when I drag and drop the John from main contacts it will only allow him to be in one group and removes him from the one he was previously added to. How do I get around this?

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
1. Make the first event in iCal when and how you want it.
2. If you are not in month view, switch to it.
3. Highlight the event in the calendar view and press Cmd-C (copy).
4. Click on the blank area on a day you want to copy to.
5. Press Cmd-V (paste).
6. Repeat steps 4-5 for all needed dates.
