Multiple contacts with same number?

Hello,
I have multiple contacts in my address book with the same number, for instance "Mom" or "Grandma" or "Mrs. Smith." Is there a way to ensure that my iPhone 4 chooses the assigned photo and name to each contact?
I have all three under "All Contacts" but also have only one under a sub-group that is my primary contact group. Perhaps my problem is syncing via MobileMe? Doing that means I have All Contacts as well as my sub-group on the iPhone; that may be confusing it?

If you have multiple contacts have the same number the iPhone makes a random choice. There is no way to force one over another.

I have the same problem with my contacts.
I have one external phone number and then use extensions for their desks. I want to embed the extension number in the contact name and use the common phone number.

OK i have another problem that i need some sort of system for and I'm looking for suggestions from all of you. What do you guys do for multiple people with the same phone #. For example i have contact info for my aunt, uncle and cousins that all have the same home #. I have multi entry's because i want their birthday info in cal plus their cell phones. But I hate the fact that i have to scroll Thu 4 people with one # and I'm not sure how it picks who to display when someone from the home # calls me. I guess it isn't a huge problem but thought i would throw it out to see what others do. Feedback....

I have a couple of contacts that share a phone number. Pretty much the same reasons as yours. When I get a call from the shared number, then it will say "John Doe or Mary Doe calling" Or some thing like that.
I don't think there is any way around scrolling through each contact since they all have distinct info and are seen as separate

Can we create JTable with multiple rows with varying number of columns ?

Hi All,
I came across a very typical problem related to JTable. My requirement is that cells should be added dynamically to the JTable. I create a JTable with initial size of 1,7 (row, columns) size. Once the 7 columns are filled with data, a new row should be created. But the requirement is, the new row i.e. second row should have only one cell in it initially. The number of cells should increase dynamically as the data is entered. The table is automatically taking the size of its previous row when new row is added. I tried by using setColumnCount() to change the number of columns to '1' for the second row but the same is getting applied to the first row also.
So can you please help me out in this regard ? Is it possible to create a JTable of uneven size i.e. multiple rows with varying number of columns in each row ?

Well a JTable is always going to paint the same number of columns for each row. Anything is possible if you want to rewrite the JTable UI to do this, but I wouldn't recommend it. (I certainly don't know how to do it).
A simpler solution might be to override the isCellEditable(...) method of JTable and prevent editing of column 2 until data in column 1 has been entered etc., etc. You may also want to provide a custom renderer that renderers the empty column differently, maybe with a grey color instead of a white color.

Multiple accounts with same email

I have multiple accounts with same email
The one that has all my contacts is the one attached to FB but for some odd reason I can no longer access this specific account
When I try to reset my password, it only keeps asking me to change my FB password
Once I try logging in on Skype, it keeps asking my FB to connect to the other 2 Skype accounts, completely diffente usernames
I am only interested in the one that originally connected to my FB as it has all my contacts
As my other 2 accounts are my old Skype accounts and have my old contacts from years ago

Actually this morning I was able to log on the account from an iPad with no fuss but the pc refuses to sign in^^^!???! "Skype couldn't connect" - What is going on???
I also found out that I could sign in via a browser but not via skype program... So I uninstalled it and installed it again and it's working now...
I have now changed the email so I don't have 3 accounts with the same primary email as Skype seems to not being able to handle multiple accounts with same email!!!

What do you mean share?
It is not possible to send contacts from one iPhone to another without installing an app that would support this. Bump is one such app.
There is no functionality in iOS to do this. iCloud can share contacts across multiple iDevices, but it would be ALL contacts, just just a few.

Hi everyone, again landed up with a problem.
After trying a lot to do it myself, finally decided to post here..
I have created a form in form builder 6i, in which on clicking a button the data gets exported to excel sheet.
It is working fine with a single table. The problem now is that i am unable to do the same with 2 tables.
Because both the tables have same number of columns & column names.
Below are 2 tables with column names:

how to read multiples files with same extension in java.
for ex : i would like to read all .DAT files from C drive using java.
How is it done

- You create the filter
- You get the list of files
- You open and read each file.
For the first two above you look at java.io.File and listFiles(FileFilter filter).
For the third you find whatever input stream is appropriate from java.io.*

More Table Blocks in 11g with same number of rows as in 9i

I was using SQL performance analyzer to compare performance difference between 9i and 11g databases.
For this purpose I generated a trace file in 9i database and used it to build STS in 11g database.
After runing two trials and comparison the report showed performance regression (comparing "buffer gets") while using following SQL statement
*"SELECT * FROM EMP";*
There were total 14 rows in emp table in both databases( i.e 9i and 11g)
There was no plan change for above SQL statement in 11g database but still there was performance regression in 11g.
After querying dba_tables view for number of blocks in emp table on both sides i found that EMP table in 9i database had 1 block where as in 11g emp table had 5 blocks (Even after using alter table emp move;)
I am unable to understand why emp table has more number of blocks in 11g with same number of rows as in 9i emp table?

I have multiple members with same alias name. Are there anyway to build dimension members with same alias name?

Typically I will concatinate the member name (as either a prefix or suffix ) to the Alias to make it unique

Mounting multiple directories with same name on different severs to a single mount point on another server

We have a requirement where in we have multiple solaris servers and each solaris server has a directory with the same name.
The files in these directories will be different.
These same name directories on multiple severs has to be mounted to a single directory on another sever.
We are planning to use NFS, but it seems we can not mount multiple directories with same name on different severs to a single mount point using NFS, and we need to create multiple mount points.
Is there any way we can achieve this so that all the directories can be mounted to a single mount point?

You can try to mount all these mount points via NFS in one additional server and then export this new tree again via NFS to all your servers.
No sure if this works. If this works, then you will have in this case just an additional level in the tree.

Create Equipment with same Number rang at Diff Equipment Catagory

Hallo Guys,
client bymistake created some equipments which are actually PRT with catagory M ( Machine)
now they made deletion indicator to that and inactive the part and now want to create same machine as a PRT with same number range interval
as that of made at machine, but as per std system is not allowing to create duplicate records.
How to achive this ?

If no Equipments were created after the Deleted Equipments then you may have an option.
Tcode OIEN
Go to Number range interval, Then the Current number can be changed as under. Reduce this Current number by those many equipments. Then new equipments will have the same numbers of the deleted equipments
You should do it in trial servers and if suits to you then you can decide to go ahead. You should be prepared to have filters in Selection-screes to avoid the DLFL INAC equipments appear in the reports

Hi, anyone knows how to separate two contacts with same name in Contacts? Actually they are two persons from two gmail contacts with same name but different contact numbers, different emails....etc, but Contacts assume they are same person and merge them as one!

In Lion, you have the File > Duplicate option. You will then have two copies of your document open, and the one on top will have the temporary filename "OriginalFileName copy", and your next responsibility is to File > Save (or Command-S) and rename the duplicate. At this point, you edit the copy's name, to perhaps ...copy 1, or whatever you wish. The document you had open when you initiated the File > Duplicate will still be there on your screen, waiting for you to Close it or continue editing.

Multiple accounts with same email can't acces original account

ok, so i created a new skype. I was messing with skype account on my desktop and wound up unlinking and re linking the account basically i made 2 extra accounts and they have my live: random.namehere_1 and live: random.namehere_2 and i cant log into my original one anymore also when i try to do a recovery it says i have 2-3 skype accounts on my email and i cant log into my accounts by typing in the live:random.namehere and the password it just says ooops something went wrong basicallly saying the pw and account name are wrong when they arent i made sure of it. so how do i eliminate the cloned accounts and log into the main one.
