Multiple copies of books on bookshelf

Hi,
My bookshelf shows multiple versions of my books eg portrait photography has 21 versions all with the icloud symbol in the top corner.another 2 books also have 21 versions,another 2 have 22.My pdfs are ok it just seems to be the books.
I am using an ipad air and also have ibooks on a macbook pro with mavericks.
Any help will be gratefully recieved

I have the same problem if I have Settings > iBooks > Show All Purchases set 'on' - turning that 'off' means that only books that are downloaded/synced to the iPad show in the app (you can still see and download past purchases via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the app).

Have you tried to force quit iBooks?
Double tap the home button. You'll see the app icons adn a preview show up on the screen. Scroll sideways if needed to get the preview and icon for iBooks on the screen. Flick the preview window up and off the screen. Then single tap on the home page preview, or on the home button to exit the mode then try to open iBooks again

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

Can I open multiple copies of the same book?

I am reading a more technical book. It would be helpful to have multiple pages opened at the same time (for the purpose of reference)
Is it possible to open more than one copy of the same book?
I know that I can open the book on my iPad or iPhone, but I would like to open them both on my Mac.

I used to be able to print multiple copies of the same picture on one page using iphoto. There was a customise button when you went through to print and it was there somewhere. I can't see it anymore - maybe since an upgrade.
It's gone. But as a work-around, duplicate your photo (⌘D) to create as many versions as you want copies and select all at once. Then use the "Custom" print layout and set the photo size you want.
After printing, trash the added versions.

Suddenly there are multiple copies of the same ibook on my bookshelf. How do I get rid of the extra copies?

Quit iBooks completely and reboot the iPad.
From your home screen -Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the iBooks app icon. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Go back to iBooks and see if the duplicates have disappeared.

The general process is to select the photo and print, select the printer, paper size and print size and click customize and under settings selec multiples copies of a photo (the preview will reflect this choice) and click print to print, make any printer specific selections and click print to print

Multiple copies of same photo on same page seems to assume A4?

I'm trying hard to work out how to print out multiple copies of the same picture. I want to get 2 copies on each 4x6" sheet of photo paper and have followed all the steps...
Selected 1 picture, hit print, went to Settings, selected "Multiple of the same photo per page".
I then went to Print Settings, selected Borderless 4x6 (yes, the printer works fine with that usually - HP Photosmart C4280) and set the Print Size to 2x3 and the preview shows the 2 copies of the same photo side-by-side no problem.
So I hit OK, clicked on Print and...
It's not aligning with the left hand side of the 4x6 - it's not respecting the selected paper size. If I put in a sheet of A4 to test, the 2 pictures come out in the centre of the page (in the requested size). So as a result I can't print on the 4x6 paper as most of the picture gets printed on nothing!
Am I doing something wrong or is this some kind of bug in either iPhoto or the HP printer driver? Anyone had any success with this? If so, what kind of printer were you using?

Here's the workflow I used to get 2 2x3s on a 4x6:
1 - select photo & click on print button
2 - select 4x6 borderless and 2x3 print size
3 - click Customize button
4 - click on settings button
5 - select "Multiple of same photo per page" (after clicking OK two photo are shown on the preview)
6 - click on the Print button.
Where I differ is that I don't go back to Print Settings to select the 4x6 paper size after Step 5. Give that a try.
NOTE: Do a Print to PDF to check it out instead of printing on paper. That will save some paper in case it doesn't work.
That gives me two photos on the 4x6. I'm using a Canon i850. I also get the same results with an Epson R280.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Is it possible to order different books on the same order number resulting in Apple Print Services shipping them together, and thus requiring only one shipment at a lower cost? Also since these books are being sold to our Senior citizens and they are paying taxes is there a form we can complete that will exempt us from paying taxes?

For example, if you want to order one book with a black cover and the same book with a red cover, or you would like to order a card and a calendar, you will need to place two separate orders. SWF contains multiple copies of a sound item

I am pretty new to Flash and trying to complete an assignment
in the Classroom in a Book for Flash CS3.
The error message "SWF contains multiple copies of a sound
item" appears when I test the movie, but I have checked the
property of every frame and on every layer against the reference
sample supplied with the text.
There is something wrong for sure because one of the sound
files will not stop repeating... the whole thing is rather spastic.
Any suggestions about how to proceed.

Using an iTunes card to purchase multiple copies of an ITunes item

Does anyone know of a way to purchase multiple copies of an app using an iTunes card for a single account? I know that Apple offers a volume purchasing program however all items are not available in the program such as books and videos. I am open to legal suggestions if this is not possible.

The MAS is a complete mess for non-individual purchases. I handle most of the Apple purchase orders at my college and for digital distribution via the MAS the key is number is a quantity of 20 or more.
First of all, you should have some kind of contact within Apple's NZ Education Sales department. If not, you should find out who that is.
For FCPX, if you need three copies, you need to create three individual Apple IDs and make three separate purchases. This is absolutely asinine, but that's how it's setup. Even better, in America, there's no way to become tax exempt, so they charge us tax and then we have to request a refund, where they then mail us a paper check.
If you want 20 or more copies of anything, I contact my Edu sales rep and get a quote for it, then we pay via purchase order. Then we receive an E-Mail with individual MAS redemption codes for the number of licenses we ordered. Then you just redeem one code, download the app, and deploy it out, either through ARD (Apple Remote Desktop), or however else you want to.
So in summary, try to order 20 or more of anything. Once you hit 20 there's a price break of roughly 50% and your Apple NZ Edu sales rep should have a PDF of their Edu product matrix pricing. If you order less than 20 of a product, it's a huge pain in the ***. Establish one centralized MAS Apple ID, or at least one per dept. For example: [email protected] (music dept's redemption account). Redeem one code for whatever App you've purchased, deploy the rest out however you prefer and just keep track of the amount of licenses you've used vs. the amount you've ordered.

Receiving multiple copies of text messages

i have an iPhone 6 plus and have been receiving multiple copies of the same text message (up to 4x) from various contacts across various carriers. This has been an issue throughout having an iPhone 5s and 6 plus, and only occurs with regular messages, not iMessage. It also does not occur for automated text messages sent to me (e.g. Redbox). While I have unlimited messages it is frustrating because they are sent to me multiple times, and not necessarily in the same order each time. It is also inconsistent. I might get a single copy of one text and four of another. I have reset the phone, changed phones, and every other thing possible. This seems to be an issue not on my end. Assistance would be much appreciate. Thanks.

Hp deskjet 1510 multiple copies

My HP Deskjet 1510 keeps making multiple copies of itself in my devices on windows 7. I've tried deleting the copies but they keep coming back can anyone help please for some reason its stopped letting me print.

Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that your HP Deskjet 1510 is making multiple copies. I am happy to help you! I would recommend the following:
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know what happens.
Powercycle the printer. (With the printer turned on, unplug the power cable from the back of the printer, and the wall outlet. Then wait 30 seconds, then plug the cable back in, wall outlet first. The printer will turn on automatically).

I am unable to print multiple copies on 1 page

I have a macbook and I used to be able to print multiple copies on 1 page. It had a selection on the bottom right. Now something has changed with the format. It allows me to select multiple copies, but only prints one.

Press Command+p- Select multiple pages or booklet
