Multiple CRM systems to one R/3 system

Hi all,
Is it possible to connect Two CRM systems to the same R/3 system?
My gut feeling is, it is impossible to do that. Am I correct or is there a way to do it.
Any help will be highly appreciated...
Thanks
Jothi

Hi,
I it is very much possible to do this. SAP provides the functionality in the form of Multiple Backend Exchange feature. Please refer to SAP Note 853430 and also the link http://service.sap.com/crm-mep.
Also you can find a presentation in the link https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000579336&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000112&_OBJECT=011000358700002029062003E.
Hope this helps.

  • When we connect two bw systems to one R/3 system?

    Hi ,
When we connect two bw systems to one R/3 system,
could you please exlain what is the imact to SAP and BW in terms of query performance, batch performance,Develoment ,Quality system, security,BW Support.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    kranthi

you can connect multiple BW to single R3 source system.
In the delta queue (RSA7 in source system), you have a field with the target system, so you don´t have problem if you have many target bw system, because the data selection is done by system field.
Challenge arises when you have multiple R3 feeding to single BW system and then you have to consolidate the master data say 0material fed from different source system R3 then you can consolidate data using consolidated infoobject.
The following components concatenate to the key of a consolidated InfoObject:
1)source system ID (two-character source system ID; permitted values are stored NW BI table RSSOURSYSTEM)
    2)one blank character
3)backend object type (four-character backend object type; permitted values are stored BI table RSBWBEOTYP)
4)master data key value as stored in the source system
Note that the key of a consolidated InfoObject solely consists of non-integrated informations from the different source systems. Integration across source systems results from a (maybee repeatedly applied) data consolidation and cleasing process which unveils duplicate master data keys.
    Hope it Helps

  • Multiple CRM system with one R/3 system, possible?

    Dear all,
I wanna see if multiple CRM systems can hook up to one R/3 system.  My hunch is that this is not possible, because information exists in table such as R/3 CRMKUNNR for BP data would not be able to distinguish which system an entry would need to send to for syncing.
    Am I right?
    Thanks,
    Kirby

    Hi,
Well there is also the MDM (Master Data Management) application with SAP Netweaver. Which actually makes things a lot easier with a number of CRM installations with multiple R/3 instances.
Maybe you would also like to do some read up on MDM.
    Thanks, Debasish

  • Connecting two BI systems to one R/3 system

    Hi Experts,
We are upgrading our BW 3.x to 7. This activity we are doing on a sandbox server. Now for integration testing we want to connect this BI sandbox to R3 QA system. RFC destination parameters are maintained in both the systems.
Now when we go for source system Restore option from DW workbench, it pops up with message -
"Connection AA is used in the ARQ100 (R/3 QA) source system as a connection ABQ100 (BI QA).
Do you want to delete this connection in the source system? Connection is restored after it has been deleted successfully."
I checked in RSBASIDOC table in R3 QA system, there exists this entry to ABQ100.
My question is - without touching the R/3 QA -> BI QA connection, can I create a connection between R/3 QA & BI sandbox? & How?
or Can we create new connection similar to AA for this new BI sandbox system?
I have already gone thru SAP Note - 775568, but it does not mention anything related to my scenario.
    So appreciate help from experts.
    Regards,
    Vikram.

    Hi WernerS,
    Thanks for the reply.
Both the BI systems have diff Logical Sys names. And at this time I am not concerned about delta.
But as I mentioned earlier, while trying to restore source system from new BI sandbox server, it is asking to delete the connection from R/3 QA to BI QA which I dont want.
My question is How to establish this new connection without disturbing the existing R3 QA to BI QA connection.

    Vikram.

  • Number ranges - APO or ECC system - Which one is master system?

    Hi
In SRM always SRM system is a  master system for issuing number range. to create a folow on documents like purchase request and Purchase order . SRM system always determines the number range  for  purchase orders , Purchase request .
for example in Classic scenario :-
SRM we create a Shopping cart and Purchase order in  ECC system.but SRM determines the number range which number Purchase order needs to be created.
What about in APO number ranges for Purchase request and Purchase order ? .iS That SAME ? .
In APO , do you have technical scenarios like Classic and Extended classic?
classic :- shoping cart crated in SRM and Purchase order will be created in ECC system.
Ext Classic :- Shopping card created in SRM and Purchase order will be created in SRM itself and replicated to ECC system.
But both above scenarios, SRM system is a master system to issue number ranges.
i learnt that APO system dont supply any number ranges to create a PR or PO in ECC system (trigger from APO) only ECC system determines? is it true?
    BR
    Muhtu

    Hi,
For Purchase requisition there is temporary number range in APO system but once requisition gets transfered to ECC through CIF it determines number range from ECC and returns back same number to APO.
For Purchase order number range exists in ECC only and not in APO. Even if you trigger conversion of PR to PO from APO number range will be taken from ECC only.
So ECC remains master system .

  • Multiple CRM servers sharing one AD OU

Hi, we've got an existing development instance of CRM 2011 on prem.  I'm wondering if it's possible to install another instance and point it at the same OU that is used for the existing instance.  This is a separate instance, not connecting to
the existing deployment.  It would be for experimentation purposes.  The new installation would have CRM (all server roles), SQL, Reporting Services on one VM (Windows 2008 R2) and would share AD and Exchange servers with other instances.
Does anyone know if this is supported or do I need a new OU setup for each new instance?

Yes, this should work fine.  I've had as many as 4-5 CRM servers installed into the same AD for dev and testing.  During the install it needs a domain admin to add the service objects, but it should work fine.
    Hope this helps!

  • Two BW systems to one R/3 system

    Hi,
We have connected two BW systems to R/3. The physical connection is working as it should, but we have problems loading data. The message we got is to do with basic idoc type "BW unknown in source system".
Can anybody tell me what to do?
    Regards,
    Harald

    Hi
Is the 2 BW systems identical?
if they are check your midlewear (usually a Basis task).
If the 2 BW sys are not the same then u need to check the compatibility between R3 and the failing BW (could be Plug in's or SP's).

    Hi,
Well at first thought, i wouldnt go for the Landscape that you are suggesting. Because of obvious reasons:
    1. Performance issues while loading, on reporting.
    2. Data sources might work fine for one system and not for the other, then the whole setup is hit badly.
    3. Security and management of the 2 systems, will be a big task.
    4. Jobs would take a longer time if the Batch processes are not sufficient.

  • Three sender systems and one receiver

    Hi Experts,
In my scenario I have three sender R/3 systems and one receiver file system. This is Idoc-XI-File bypass scenario.
Idoc can get trigerred from any one of these R/3  systems and reach the file system via XI without any mapping or routing. So I didn't touch any of the IR objects.
    In ID,
I have created three business systems for three senders and one business service for receiver  file system.
I have created three receiver determinations, three interface determinations and three receiver agreeements.I have created one receiver communication channel.
All the ALE configurations are correct.
The Idoc is reaching XI system when I trigger from any one of the R/3 systems but the error it is showing is <b>no receiver could be determined</b>.
Can any one of you through light on where I have done the mistake .
    Regards,
    Lokesh

    Lokesh
Can you pls. try these two different options & let us know the result -->
    Option 1.
Design this scenario as 1 Sender & 1 Receiver and check whether you are able to create the IDOC xml in Receiver System. With this atleast we can say that rest of the configuration are correct.
    Option 2.
For the Receiver System, create 3 different Business Services & now map each of them with 3 Senders individually. I mean in this case also you will create 3 Rec. Determinations but now receiever is going to be different in each of them. Then in File Adapter you can actually mention the same location path.

  • Evironment with two Netweaver systems and one BPC server

    Hi there,
I heard it could be possible to use only one BPC microsoft server and direct one development/test netweaver system and one production NW system to exactly one BPC server?
Can I somehow define two instances on the BPC server? How about transport management?
We plan to implement BPC NW 7.0 or 7.5 if version is available in time.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dierk

    Hello Nilanjan,
    thanks for the immediate response!
I understood that you can access different BPC servers using one client. That would be achivable entering different servers withtin the connection wizard?
My question is if it would be possible to only have one physical .NET server and the dependent BPC client from where I can access two separate Netweaver servers (test/production). This would need something like a switch where the Netweaver system can be selected.
Reason is that my customer gets his servers hosted and wants to avoid to pay for two .NET servers.
To run development and production version of Netweaver on one physical system is not possible/recommended at all I heard.
    Kind regards,
    Dierk

  • Connecting multiple CRM systems to one backend R/3 and vice versa

    Hello experts
Can you tell me whether it is advisable to connect 2 CRM systems to a single backend R/3 and vice versa? Is it recommended by SAP? I require some notes or docs on this. I got some notes on this forum but they are all Internal ones which I am unable to see.
    Please help!
    Warm Regards
    Debolina

    Hi,
Though SAP does not recommend connecting multiple systems to one ECC backend. But still it has designed a procedure to achieve this.
Here is the excerpts of the steps required.
    1. Execute report MCRM_SETTINGS for each CRM system connected to the ERP
    system.
    2. Check the entries of the table CRMRFCPAR of the connected ERP system:
The field REM_LOGSYS should be filled for every entry marked with
    u2018Created by the MCRM reportu2019.
    3. Activate the corresponding consumers in the table CRMCONSUM
    (transaction SM30).
    4. Internal and external number ranges for Business Partners have to be aligned
    manually.
    Hope it helps you!!!!
    Good Luck.

  • One ECC Connected to multiple CRM systems

    Hello,
We have a scenario where we have single R/3 system (ECC) connected to multiple CRM systems. I would be obliged if someone can send me some documentation on tht.
Also if we are creating an order in ECC, two queues are generated which I think is wrong. Can someone give me some advice on this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Priyanka

    Hello Pratik,
I would define two different systems in ECC. In such a case, if say I create one material in R/3 (ECC) then should it generate two diffrent queues for flow to CRM.
Also if say the CRM Release etc for the two systems connected to one R/3 are not the same, then how do i take care of the entries in the ECC Config tables for replication i.e CRMFILTAB, CRMCONSUM, CRMPAROLTP etc.
And how does the ECC system identify what settings it has to take for what CRM system and what queues have to be generated? What are the queues to be registered in CRM and ECC in such a case.
Would be obliged if you can give me a more detailed advice.
    Rgds

  • Multiple DataTargets in the Same BI 7.0 System to One DataSource

Currently, I do not have access to BI 7.0 system.  I am wondering whether it is possible to connect MULTIPLE DataTargets of a single BI 7.0 system to ONE DataSource in the source system?  I have searched the forum, but I couldn't find relevant posts.  If I am not wrong, until BW 3.5, once a DataSource is assigned to an InfoSource, it can not be assigned to any other InfoSource of the same BW system.  I have heard that this has changed in BI 7.0 with the new DataFlow concept.
The current requirement is that multiple DataTargets of a single BI system need to get DELTA data from the same DataSource in the source system.  If this is technically possible in BI 7.0, should the source system also support such an assignment (since the DELTA load timestamps are maintained in the source system)?  What source systems currently support this feature, if any?  What are the appropriate tables in the source system that I need to look at to do further investigation?
All the useful inputs regarding these questions will be rewarded with points.  Thanks!

    Yes, it is possible.
Transformations and DTP's are Source - Target specific.

If this is technically possible in BI 7.0, should the source system also support such an assignment (since the DELTA load timestamps are maintained in the source system)?
Data is extracted into PSA from the sourcesystem and is taken from there to different targets connected using diff transformations. If the datasource works on timestamp then it all depends on how the data is transformed to diff targets from PSA.
What source systems currently support this feature, if any?
ECC, irrespective of sourcesystem it all depends on how the datasource functions as data is only extracted till PSA.
What are the appropriate tables in the source system that I need to look at to do further investigation?

    Sameer

    Hi Sameer,
But since there is only one transformation between the PSA and DataTarget, all the data (irrespective of the indicator) will flow through unless I filter on the "planning stage" indicator
You can create one transformation between Datasource and ONE DataTarget. But in your case, you have TWO datatargets. So you have to create two DTP's which can have diffrent filter parameters.
You can fill two different targets ( cube1: before manual update, cube2: after manual update) using your datasource.
For this, you need to create two transformation. Keep in mind, everytime you create a transformation you must create a DTP for data movement.
    So you will have:
    DS1 -- TRANS1-- DTP1 --Cube1
    DS1 -- TRANS2DTP2Cube 2
In DTP1 set  filter for indicator :X and DTP2 set  filter for indicator :Y. Both DTP1 and DTP2 should work in delta mode.
I would suggest you to create one initialization for your DS1. if it is not possible create two infopackages for two initializations. I suppose you have the indicator in selection parameters of infopackages.

  • Multiple SAP Systems In One MSCS Cluster

We have installed a NW 7.0 EHP abap stack in a MSCS Cluster with 2 nodes.
This was installed as a standard Cluster Install.
We have now higlighted a requirement to install a 2nd (Java ) instance in this Cluster Group.
The NW 7.0 EHP1 documentation and Note 1321854 shows that multiple SAP systems in one  MSCS cluster is supported.
The documentation, however, is not clear if the 2nd instance can be installed when the 1st instance was installed without the preperations for Multiple Systems.
There are no further documentation or guidelines to help.
Has anyone come across this situation or managed to install 2 SAP instances in one Cluster Group based on Windows 2003, SQL Server 2005.
    Regards

I am not quite sure if I understood your problem completley. But let's see...
Usually you use on on MSCS Cluster Group per SAP instance. So you have your already existing NW 7.0 ABAP stack in a separated Cluster Group, and you create a new Cluster Group for your new Java system.
You can find more information about it in this guide here on SDN:
    Link: [High Availability;
More information about High Availability Setups for SAP System can be found here on SDN:
    Link: [High Availability]
If you want to use the same database for your clustered ABAP stack and your new Java stack you can do a MCOD installation.
Please see Link: [SAP Note 388866 - Multiple Components on One Database - Installation|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/388866]
    Hope this helps.
