Selecting browse in bridge in photoshop 2014 launches CC applet, what is happening?
I have updated my system with the new Creative Cloud Application (Lightroom 5.5, Photoshop 2014 and latest Bridge) Now I am getting all sorts of errors.
At first I could use Edit in Photoshop 2014 command in Lightroom and the image would open in Photoshop, however after doing a few edits neither save or save as would work - all I got was a long involved error message. After a bit of investigation I removed Lightroom from the system and re-installed using the CC applet. Now when I try to Edit in Photoshop 2014 Photoshop 2014 opens but the picture I want to edit has not passed accross ata all.
I then had a try at using Bridge. I selected Browse in Bridge from Photoshop 2014 and instead of Bridge I got the Adobe CC Applet pop up offering to update Bridge (which was up to date anyway) and warning me about loosing settings if I did. I updated Bridge and then updates for Lightroom and Photoshop 2014 were offered which I installed. These have not made a blind bit of difference I still can't pass pictures from Lightroom to Photoshop and still can't open Bridge from Photoshop - it's still opening the CC applet.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
DaveThe answer seems to be to uninstall the Adobe CC applet and then re-install it again (while I was doing that I re-installed Photoshop 2014). All is working correctly now.

New Problem creating a desktop shortcut to photoshop 2014 causes the program to break?
After getting fed up of waiting for adobe CC to finally finish buffering I thought I'd create a desktop shortcut to Photoshop (To save time). After doing this I doubled clicked on the shortcut and after 15 minutes of waiting I realized something was wrong double clicking again and watching the task manager I noticed Photoshop appear for half a second under background processes and then disappear entirely. So I then tried to launch Photoshop 2014 from Adobe CC under Installed Apps and this does the exact same thing. Both links to Photoshop now don't work and just sit there.
I would appreciate some help and I am also getting increasingly tired of ongoing problems with the software..........(I still have 30 days well 28 to cancel this subscription and simply buy a disk version of CS6)

Or if you cant help how do i get in contact with someone at adobe?You can't just create a short cut during the installation process. If the shortcut is not there, then it was not done installing. That's why it does not work correctly, it is still lacking an important piece of the puzzle, more commonly known as dll's. (dll is an external app that the main app polls from when needed. This on windows, I do not know what the external apps are called on a mac)
I recommend that you uninstall all of adobe's apps including the manager and if needed use the adobe cleaner to remove portions if the uninstaller fails to do so. Then restart your computer and install again. How long it take to install will depend on the size of the file, the speed of your internet connection, if using wifi, the speed of that connection, the speed of Adobe's server, how much of a load is on Adobe's server.
If you are using wifi, you can remove that bottle neck by using a direct connection with eithernet or other means ex. usb. -

Can you try to download a sample png file and then try to open it up in Photoshop.

I draw a figure in frame 0 then duplicate frame. After the frame is duplicated I move the figure over to make sure there are different frames but as soon as I check the first frame Ive noticed that both frames have moved together. So nothing has changed. Why?I always create the individual frames in layer groups first. So build what you need, break them up or duplicate them, position them where you want them and then create your frames by turning off all the layer groups or layers you don't need.

Each scene is a frame and I turn them on and off as I need them. -

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

If I select multiple images to apply a change to all openings it does so only with the first selected. Why?
You probably have Primary Selection only on.
Aperture identifies the images you’ve selected by displaying them with a white border. When you select a group of images, the actively selected image, called the primary selection, appears with a thick white border and the rest of the selected images appear with thin white borders.
Primary Only button: Click this button to make changes to the primary image selection only. -
Starting Photoshop 2014 CC from Desktop and start menu states ExtendScript.dll error
I purchased Adobe CC for Student this morning and when I go to launch Photoshop 2014 CC from start menu/desktop it states:
"This Program can't start because ExtendScript.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
If however I try to launch from the directory of the installation or the task bar it launches with non of the errors stated above I will also state that
when I go to search the directory for the .dll file its there, is there a fix for this or will I have to install this completely.

Mac or Windows?
Did you run the 15.1 update from Help > updates or from the CC Desktop Application?
Try installing that, if still fails, might need to uninstall, and reinstall.

I'm a recent convert from PC to Mac. I love my Macbook Air. However, I can't seem to get the point of multiple desktops. Can anyone help me? I looked at a couple of books, and done some online searching, and I have come up empty.
ThanksAs in Mission Control? How about four finger scroll left to right for easy access of full screen apps.
Maybe more to your point, for apps that don't natively go full screen, you can still scroll left to right by adding a new desktop for convenience.
Or an easy way to get to a clean desktop if Desktop 1 is fully populated and you need to work with or arrange some desktop files, photo's, etc.
You can drag apps to a different desktop if more than one desktop is open. -
Does Photoshop CC have all of the capabilities of Photoshop CS6?
I have a $29.99 cloud membership to Photoshop CS6 and have a perpetual license to LR4. My new camera Nikon D610 has RAW files that are not supported by LR4 or Photoshop CS6. Can someone tell me if the new Photoshop CC has all the functionality of CS6?
CS6 sells as a perpetual license, and not as a subscription, so if you are paying $29.99 a month, then you already have Photoshop CC. If you have the Desktop Application Manager, which has a launch icon like this
Open it, and see if it invites you to 'Install' Photoshop CC 2014. If it says 'Try' Photoshop CC 2014, then you don't have a subscription, or are not signed in.
I also wonder why you are paying 30 dollars a month. That suggests you have a full cc subscription to all the CC apps, and are on the reduced first year. After the first year it goes up to $50 a month. -
How do I undo whatever went wrong after installing the latest update to Photoshop 2014 and suddenly when I tried to paint or touch up my illustration (book cover I'd drawn and painted, then scanned in and continued painting, changing. It's mostly done but I needed to send it like yesterday!!) OR touch up a photograph, black-like oily smudge-like substance sprayed around the point of the brush. I tried to fix by resetting but really didn't know what to do and probably made it worse. However, the problem happened after I updated the Photoshop Creative Cloud 2014 on my desktop 8.1 Windows and after a Tech helped update the regular CC Photoshop on my laptop 2007, 64 bit Windows to 2014. He promised to call back after giving it time to install but didn't for whatever reason on Friday. That happened to go up to the same update I did on my Windows 8.1 Windows. Hi there,
I was happy to read that there was such a thing as Multiple Desktops on the Mac but then was disappointed to actually see it in action.
I thought that I could place folders and files on different desktops so that it could be easier for me to organise my work. But so far, I can only assign applications to open up in specific desktops which isn't what I was looking for. In fact, I am struggling to see the point of this - the only thing I can see that would be an advantage is that if I have multiple applications running, I could assign for example, Photoshop to D2, Word to D3 and just click on the icon at the bottom to zap straight to that app without having to look for it under all my open apps. This is the most I can see in its usefulness.
BUT... if other users have other ways they use these desktops I would really be interested to know about it - or if any one is aware of a good app that does what I want, i.e. different files on different desktops, it would be great.

MazI figured it out. ^1 typed from the number keys is not equivalent to ^1 typed from the numeric keypad. So, when you go into system prefs / keyboard / shortcuts / mission control, it may LOOK the same, but it is not. You simply have to select each of your spaces and change them to ^1, ^2, ^3, etc., using the NUMERIC keypad. It will look the same to you, but it will work properly after that.
