Multiple dn's in certificate

Can I use a certificate that contains multiple DN's with Oracle Wallet Manager? When I speak of multiple DN's I mean the certificate knows about more than one DN (i.e. www.myplace1.com and www.myplace2.com)...

are you talking about user or root certificates? Anyway wallet manager doesn't support this.

  • Multiple SAP Passports(Digital Certificates)

    Hi Guys,
I want to know how i could have multiple digital certificates created to login to service.sap.com.
My case is that i have 2 S IDs. I have created an SAP Passport(digital certificate) for 1 S ID, so that i dnt have to enter the user name and password every time i login to service market place. However i would want to create a digital certificate for my other S ID as well. How do i do that..
    Help appreciated
    Rgds,
    Prabinath

    Hi Aj,
When your SAP passport expires SAP recommends to delete your old SAP Passport and create new passport. Since the new SAP Passport is valid already, there is no reason to retain the old one.
Please check and let me know if you need any information.

  • Multiple additional SIP domains - certificate and DNS requirements

We've setup Lync 2010 Enterprise in our organisation and have successfully enabled a couple of thousand users.
This is working successfully internally, externally and through Lync Mobile.
However, we've only enabled users who are using the main company domain for SMTP and SIP addresses aaaaa_group.com (so all nice and easy so far!)
In other words, user A has a primary SMTP and SIP address of
    UserA@aaaaa_group.com
However, due to numerous mergers and acquisitions over the years, we have quite a lot of users who have other primary SMTP addresses e.g. bbbbb_co.uk, ccccc_company.com, ddddd_ltd.co.uk, de.ccccc_company.com etc etc
There must be in excess of 40 to 50
of these other domains in use as primary SMTP addresses.
    (Nearly all
these users have secondary SMTP addresses of aaaaa_group.com).
I have been told to approach this from a best practices point of view and give all users a SIP address that matches their primary SMTP address and calculate how much it will cost to buy certificates to cover enabling every user for Lync on all these domains.
I know from reading that wilcard certificates are considered to be a bad thing generally with Lync, especially if using Lync Mobility as the phone Lync clients don't accept them.
Wilcard certificates aside, what are the names that will I need to add to my SAN certificates?  Presumably sip.domain.com, access.domain.com, meet.domain.com, dialin.domain.com, edge.domain.com, autodiscover.domain.com, lyncdiscover.domain.com
The potential cost of all these names is frankly getting pretty scary considering we currently use Verisign for all our cert requirements, and they charge like a wounded bull.  However, I still need to report back with a cost of doing this, no matter
    what it is.
Any thoughts/comments would be very welcome. :-)

Actually the Mobility clients for mobile devices (cell phones, tablets) DO support wildcard entries in the certificates, it's the Lync Phone Edition client (desktop handset devices) which does not work with wildcards.  So you may be able to use wildcards,
but do plenty of research on how to approach this.  Here are some articles to get started:
    http://blog.schertz.name/2011/02/wildcard-certificates-in-lync-server/
    http://blog.schertz.name/2011/02/lync-phone-edition-incompatible-wildcard-certificates/
That said, if you decide to skip the wildcard approach then you do NOT need to add additional entries for ALL FQDN types, only some.
For both the Edge Server external certificate and any internal Front End certificate you'll need to add the 'sip' FQDN for every domain to the SAN field.
    sip.domain1.com, sip.domain2.com, sip.domain3.com, etc
The Front End certificate will also need the lyncdiscover and lyncdiscoverinternal
FQDNs, and the Reverse Proxy certificate will require the lyncdiscover
    FQDNs.
For Exchange Server you'll need to an autodiscover.domainX.com record as well, although this can also be covered by the wildcard entry.  The remainder of names (web conferencing, external web services, dialin, meet, etc.) can all remain in the primary
SIP domain only as these FQDNs will be passed in-band to the clients after they have successfully signed-in to Lync.  Unless you need users to all user their own domain names for the SimpleURLs (which it doesn't not sound like in your scenario) then you'd
have to add all those as well.
So if you are not supporting any Lync Phone Edition devices I would try going with the wildcard route first to see how well things work.  And even if you do have some of those devices you could simply add the 40-50
sip.domain.com FQDNs to both the FE and Edge certificate but still use a wildcard entry for the mobility clients, SimpleURls, etc.  Just make sure that the certificates Common Name (e.g. Subject Name) is NOT the wildcard entry, use the primary
domain name entry in the CN and then place the wildcard entries in the SAN field.  It is also best practice to duplicate the CN as a SAN field entry for the widest range of support by all clients.
    For example:
    Edge Server external certificate
    Common Name: sip.domain1.com
    Subject Alternative Name: sip.domain1.com, *.domain1.com, *.domain2.com, *.domain3.com, *.domain4.com,
    etc...

  • Multiple Exchange 2013 SSL Certificates & Web Services URLs

I have two Exchange 2013 CU5 Standard servers in a DAG.  Both servers have both the CAS and Mailboxes roles installed.
The servers are running Server 2012 Standard.  The DAG uses a file share witness server.
The witness server and one Exchange server, which is usually the active server, are on the same subnet in our primary data centre.
The second Exchange server is on a different subnet in our backup data centre across town.
The domain that these servers are in is part of a forest with another domain.
That domain is, physically, in another jurisdiction.  The domains share a namespace.
All users in both domains have username at name.com as their e-mail address.
The other domain has two Exchange 2013 servers in a DAG.  It also has one Exchange 2007 server, that is being phased out.
All messages that my domain users send to external recipients pass though the Exchange servers in my domain, a firewall for my domain, an Internet connection, a firewall in the other domain, the Exchange servers in the other domain, the firewall for
the other domain, and then out to the external recipients.  The reverse path is followed for inbound mail from external senders.
All ActiveSync traffic for my users passes through the Exchange servers and a proxy server in the other domain.
I have a self-signed SAN certificate on the Exchange servers in my domain.
That certificate is also deployed on all of the mobile devices that my users have.
I have been asked to see if I can set things up so that a test user can send and receive e-mail with their mobile device, and have that traffic go from my Exchange servers, through the firewall for my domain, and out to external recipients.
Due to a lack of test systems, I have been asked to develop this on my production servers, without disrupting the existing mail flow.
Is that possible?  What would need to be done to accomplish this?
If the test is possible, and successful, my Exchange servers, and all other relevant systems, would be changed so that all mail traffic from my domain no longer goes through the other domain.

You could set a test send connector for @outsidedomain.com to use your Exchange servers as source servers, and make sure you have at least one reverse DNS entry (PTR) in place for whatever IP your external firewall presents to the world for the Exchange
servers. This is critical in order not to have the rest of the world discard your emails (spammers usually fail the reverse DNS name).
For incoming traffic, you could use a DNS domain that you own and that's not in use currently (eg oldcompany.com belonging to someone your current employer purchased) and have an MX record for this pointing to the public IP address(es) of the published Exchange
    servers.
However mail routing cannot be done to work one way with mobile devices and another way with Outlook. In this case both ActiveSync and Outlook are simply interfaces to send/receive emails using your common SMTP infrastructure. So once configured for the
test as above, both ActiveSync, Outlook, OWA, EWS clients will send/receive emails in the same way. In the example above - anyone sending to @outsidedomain.com, regardless it's the users hosted on your Exchange servers or the ones in the other domain, will
be sent using the new route.

  • Multiple BSR codes In TDS Certificate

    Hi Team,
I have a query regarding TDS Certificate BSR code.
Here my client is paying the amount some times thru online(at this time we will get one BSR code) and some times he will issue check(this is different BSR code) and some time will pay cash(this is different BSR code).
While printing TDS certificate Standard SAP will get only one BSR code but how can i control these multiple BSR codes in Certificate printing.
    Regards,
    Nagaraju.

Modify your Certificate printing program to determine the BSR codes based on payment method.  For this, you'll have to capture the payment method info somewhere in your transaction.  Also, the three BSR codes for the Bank in different fields in the Bank master.
Otherwise, create three different accounts for the same bank and branch and use them for different payment methods.  But this way, you'll run into issues while doing your BRS.
    Ravi.

  • SUN Java System Web Server 7.0U1 How to install certificate chain

I am trying to install a certificate chain using the SUN Java Web Server 7.0U1 HTTPS User interface. What I have tried so far:
    1. Created a single file using vi editor containing the four certificates in the chain by cutting an pasting each certificate (Begin Certificate ... End Certificate) where the top certificate is the server cert (associated with the private key), then the CA that signed the server cert, then the next CA, then the root CA. Call this file cert_chain.pem
    2. Go to Certificates Tab/Server Certificates
    3. Choose Install
    4. Cut and paste contents of cert_chain.pem in the certificate data box.
    5. Assign to httplistener
    6. Nickname for this chain is 'server_cert'
    7. Select httplistener and assign server_cert (for some reason, this is not automatically done after doing step 5).
    8. No errors are received.
When I display server_cert (by clicking on it), only the first certificate of the chain is displayed and only that cert is provided to the client during the SSL handshake.
I tried to do the same, except using the Certificate Authority Tab, since this gave the option of designating the certificate as a CA or chain during installation. When I select ed "chain," I get the same results when I review the certificate (only the first cert in the file is displayed). This tells me that entering the chain in PEM format is not acceptable. I tried this method since it worked fine with the F5 BIG-IP SSL appliance.
My question is what format/tool do I need to use to create a certificate chain that the Web Server will accept?

    --- BEGIN CERTIFICATE ---
    ... some data....
    --- END CERTIFICATE ---
    --- BEGIN CERTIFICATE ---

--- END CERTIFICATE ---is NOT the way to create a certificate chain.
I have installed a certificated chain (it had 1 BEGIN CERTIFICATE and one END CERTIFICATE only and still had 2 certificates) and I used the same steps as you mentioned and it installed both the certificates.

  • Multiple Certs for multiple domains on one server

Is it possible with WLS6 and WLCS3.5 to serve up multiple domains with their own certificates?
i.e. https://www.foo.com and https://www.bar.com on the same box.

    Hi,
for one WebLogic Server you can only specify one certificate. So to achieve
    this you will have
to use different WLS instances for your domains - which is possible on the
    same box.

  • Code sign...revoking certificate... problem

    Hi,
I am having a breake down. I had the folowing problem:
Code Sign error: The identity 'iPhone Developer' doesn't match any valid, non-expired certificate/private key pair in your keychains
So i folowd the steps to solve this problem:
    1) Open up Keychain Access app within /Applications/Utilities and click "All Items" under the Category sidebar. Type "iPhone" into the top-right search bar.
If you are replacing your Developer Certificate, delete your "iPhone Developer: <your_name>" Certificate by right-clicking and choosing "Delete"; if you have multiple "iPhone Developer: <your_name>" certificates, delete them all.
If you are replacing your Distribution Certificate, delete your "iPhone Distribution: <your_name>" Certificate by right-clicking and choosing "Delete"; if you have multiple "iPhone Distribution: <your_name>" certificates, delete them all.
    2) Clean out your profile library according to the steps in section: Keep Your Profile Library Clean.
    3) Log into the iOS Provisioning Portal. Click the Certificates sidebar. Click the DEVELOPMENT tab if you are replacing your Developer Certificate, and pick the the DISTRIBUTION tab if you are replacing your Distribution Certificate. Click Revoke in the Action column.
    4) Perform the steps in section Provisioning Profile Refresh. Xcode will prompt to create the new certificates; choose "Submit Request" to allow Xcode to create the certificates.
    After step 4:
    I folowd this steps:
"To invoke Provisioning Profile Refresh, open Xcode's "Window" menu > Organizer > Devices tab > "Provisioning Profile" sidebar under Library and click the Refresh button. The first time refresh is pressed, a prompt appears requesting your team member credentials. It is important to answer positively when asked to create your signing certificates if they are needed. To do that, click "Submit Request" when you are prompted and Xcode will create, download and install the certificate(s)."
I had no button "Refresh" so i clickt "add device to Profsioning Portal" and get a device with this muber already exists. When i login to Portal, i dont see my developer Certificate>Development anymore. Before revoke i downloaded the certificate!!!.
How do i get it back? How do i solve this problem?

  • Certificate Hostname Discrepency

    Dear Experts:
Java code has been deployed in Oracle 10g Application Server - 10.1.3.1.0. We have two application servers in live production for load balancing. For two IPs we have given Virtual IP and the domain name has been registered for Public IP.
Now IT-security team has come up with vulnerability saying that “*Certificate Hostname Discrepency*”
    Summary:
This policy states that any area of the website or web application that contains sensitive information or access to privileged functionality such as remote site administration requires that the certificate used by the server is the same host as the server
hostname. https://xxx.xx.xx.xx:443/ has failed this policy.
    Fix:
A new certificate with the appropriate hostname should be installed. For hosts with multiple names, a wildcard certificate may be appropriate.

    Balaji

Any update on this? Is my question is clear to all?

  • SSL  Server Keystore (multiple entries)

    Hello
is it possible to have more than one entry in the servers keystore.
For each entry i would create another certificate and pass it to the client.
    Any idea if it works?

    Why not?
Normally you would do this if you were going to have a lot of variegated clients with different kinds, or levels, of crypto support (e.g. RSA, DSA). In this case you would need to have multiple signed private-key certificates to match all possible client configurations. What happens is this:
    1. client sends ClientHello message, incorporating the crypto protocols the client can handle and a random number
    2. server replies with ServerHello message, incorporating the ditto that the server can handle and a random number
    3. server sends a certificate that matches the intersection of the protocols; in Java this comes from the server's keystore
    4. If the server wants the client cert, it sends a CertRequest to the client, and the client responds with its cert chosen as in (3).; in Java this comes from the client's keystore.
    5. Any cert that arrives at either end is checked against the local truststore.
So you see there is no sending of multiple certs, just one is sent (in each direction), and it has to match the intersection of the protocols as far as its crypto algorithms and key lengths &c are concerned.

  • AS2 receive for multiple vendors on the same http address?

    Hi all,
Got a question about AS2 and MDN generation with BizTalk 2009.
We currently have  a Request Response Receive port set up to point to a local http address, pointing to /EDI/BTSHTTPReceive.dll. We currently have Vendor1 sending us files through this port correctly, and through BizTalk’s
tracking features I can verify they are getting the MDNs back.
Now, we set up a second vendor (let’s call it Vendor2) to use the same location and http address. When they send us files, we get them fine, but they don’t get the MDN back any longer. BizTalk’s tracking is showing a 0 bytes response
    being sent back to them.
I suspect this is happening because the http receive location, on its Certificate tab, has the certificate for Vendor1 specified, and not Vendor2. Is that what the issue is? In other words, do separate vendors, with different
certificates, have to have a different unique receive location and http address? Or is there a way to just use one address for all vendors to keep it simple?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
In my opinion, it maybe impossible that multiple

  • Using StartTLS with IMAP connection to Exchange is giving me different certificates for machines different to the IMAP server, security exception each time

I'm using Thunderbird with my work email account, which is using Exchange, this is not officially supported but access is allowed via IMAP.
The problem is when I'm using StartTLS or SSL I'm getting multiple different self signed certificates being returned, seeming depending on which specific backend server is handling the request, each time it causes the Confirm Security Exception dialog to be displayed. If I confirm the exception I get the dialog being displayed again until eventually I get a certificate that seems to match the first certificate I confirmed, at which point I can download or send my pending mail.
Thus is seems that there is only one certificate being stored as an exception for each server connection. Is there some way round this?
    Thanks.

What is the reason for the exception prompt in the first place?

  • Guidance on ABAP Certification

    Hello Everyone,
I have a query regarding ABAP Certification and will be glad if anyone can help me out.
I am a I.T passout with one and half years in programming. I used VB 6 mostly and devoted last few months in .NET.
I have decent knowledge of OOP and its more theoritical than practical. I have developed programs in java but that was in uni few years ago.
Now I am planning to do SAP (ABAP) certification so I have enrolled in course provided by Siemens Information Systems. The course is 25 days and classes are 9 am - 6 pm. After the last day of the course is the certification. I did read about it and people said its not easy and so on.
I have 2 weeks prior to the course so if anyone can tell me what do i need to do so that when i am in course then I am at par with class and do not face any problem ??
I do have ABAP book and material with me. Should i study that now or study oops or what.
    Guidance will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    JG
