Multiple drag-and-drop completely broken in Mail 4.2

I've noticed this since I first installed Snow Leopard, but it's now becoming too annoying to ignore.
If I try to select multiple emails from my MobileMe inbox and drag them all at once to a folder in the MobileMe account, it only drags a single email. Thus, moving 10 emails requires dragging and dropping 10 times.
This showed up as soon as I installed Snow Leopard.
Does anybody have a work around or other advice?
Is this a know issue?

The drag and drop feature for inserting Surveys is currently not available in Mail form screen (to best of my knowings).

Can't drag and drop from browser to mail, photoshop CC, etc.

I can no longer drag an image from my browser (Chrome or Safari) directly into Photoshop CC, Mail and other programs like I could in the past.
I now must drag the item to my desktop first, and then drag it into the program.
I don't know when this behavior started and I don't recall doing any major updates when it first stopped working.
OSX = 10.8.5
Chrome = 30.0.1599.69
Safari = 6.0.5 (8536.30.1)
Mail = 6.6 (1510)
Photoshop CC = 14.1.2 x64

In Iphoto, I select the albums I want to copy. I then hit burn CD. It then determines the amount of space needed. Then I hit burn CD again. Its begins burning the CD, then it verifies the CD, then ejects the CD when completed.
When the CD is re-inserted, Iphoto displays it as a regular album. I select the album, then a file, and attempt to drag-and-drop that file to the desktop. The cursor appears as a circle with a bar and it won't allow a one-step drag-and drop as with the old 17" IMAC.

AS2 Drag and Drop - Completion Response

I am making a drag and drop alphabet learning game. There are 27 Movie Clips (letters) in total that are able to be dragged. I've made it so that 12 of the Movie Clips will drop in a specific DropZone, while the rest will just snap back to their original position.
What I'd like to do is create a completion response that moves to a separate "Good Job!" screen when all 12 Movie Clips have been droped in the DropZone. How can I do this? I've searched online for some help but nothing seems to be particularly relevant.

I've also added what you posted to the other 11 letters. The first letter seems to work find but all other 11 have lost their ability to snap back into position or drop in the DropZone (they just stick to my mounse after I click on them). Do I need to change the code for each letter somehow? I've tried changing if(dropCount == 12){ to if(dropCount == 1){ to test if the one letter that's still dropping can activate the result, and it can't. I've made sure the frame is named goodjob. Thoughts?

I can no longer drag and drop videos from e-mail to iPhoto !!

Now all is updated, I can no longer drag and drop video attachments from e-mail to i-photo !
Anyone help ?

In the Mail window Command (right) - click on the movie and select either Save Attachment or Save to Downloads Folder from the contextual menu.
Or move the cursor to the dividing line between the head and body of the email so these options appear and click on the attachment button.

Drag and Drop semi-broken

Recently, I noticed that drag and drop fails when trying to use it to open a document in an application. Example: I pick up a Photoshop .PSD file (made by the version of PS now on the machine) and drop it onto the Photoshop icon in the dock. Photoshop loads, but the document itself does not. I have to open the document using Photoshop's File > Open... menu.
I have the same problem when trying to load a document by double-clicking it. The application loads but the document does not.
I've looked in Help for something like "faile associations" andthe like but with no success.

Try using Disk Utility to do a Disk Repair, as shown in this link, while booted up on your install disk.
You could have some directory corruption. Let us know what errors Disk Utility reports and if DU was able to repair them.

Can't drag and drop email addresses into Mail's search field

Since upgrading to Yosemite, I am no longer able to grab an email address from "To:" and "CC:", and drag it to the seach field in Mail. The green + sign shows up like it's going to add the address, but when I release the mouse button, the search field is left blank.

... and re-typing the whole address works for my Mom. I, however, prefer increased functionality with my upgrades, not the other way around.

Drag and Drop prob (Mail)

When I drag and drop text in a Mail message it drops a copy in the new location and leaves the original text in place. I guess there must be a setting somewhere to allow what I would call normal behavior (ie the text moves location when dragged, equivalent to cut and paste) but I can't find it. Anyone?

You might consider using the "Archive" capability of Mail. Look at Archive in Mail Help.

Smart mailboxes are not storage locations. They are simply a kind of remembered search. You cannot put things in those mailboxes, they simply show anything found in other mailboxes that matches the criteria you defined.

Drag and drop from mail to address book not happening

Hi guys, I can no longer drag email addresses from Mail into Address Book. The address just bounces back. I've repaired permissions, installed the latest security update, repaired permissions again, rebooted twice. Any ideas?

Hi mbriscoe, I've since upgraded to Lion and the same downgrade of functionality exists. I can no longer drag and drop an address from Mail into Address Book. I now have to click name, wait for menu, select Add to Address Book, go into Address Book and find the name I just added, then drag the name into the specific group I want it to be in. It used to be very useful, the drag and drop, in an "it just works" kind of way. Now it's not.

In one way its possible. you can either open the explorer view of document library and then drag drop from explorer view to your outlook new message window.
or you can map your sharepoint document library as network path. steps are follows :
1- Go to My computer
2- Right click and select Add network location click on next.
3- chose a custom netowrk location folder and click next
4- then enter the path of your sharepoint document library and click finish

Typing in all capitals is regarded as shouting.
As far as I can tell your post is filtered to the Messages app and not the Mail tagging.
You would have to supply a lot more detail as to what you are calling "your Mail Folder"
To help this is part of my Side bar list
My "On My Mac" folder probably has 20 folders plus some of those have sub folders.
Out of sight are two sets of IMAP Folders (held on the Servers)
As it is the Mail App I also may not know the answer. (I was filtering for Messages (App))

How do you drag and drop/move multiple emails from the inbox or mail archive folder to a file folder in your finder?

I would like to archive hundreds of my emails that currently exist in my apple mail email filing system by moving them into file folders in the finder. I can do this easily with a single email but it wont let me do it with multiple emails or a complete folder. Is there any way of do this easily?

Thanks very much for this. However, I understand how dragging and dropping files normally works. It just seems the it wont work when you do it with emails when you are transfering them into a normal finder system folder. If you highlight one file and drag it to a finder folder it works, but when you drag multiple, it just wont let you do it.
Is there any work around for this? Thank you once again for your time.
