Multiple DVDs onto one DL disc??

I have several movies I have extracted into VIDEO_TS folders. What I want to do is create one DL DVD with all of them, menus and everything intact.
For instance, make it so that when I put the DVD in, I can chose which movie, and it will be completely intact.

What I want to do is create one DL DVD with all of them, menus and everything intact.
To late to edit the above reply so i'll add this here ....
You may also want to look into Roxio Toast 9 (Ref. Page 114 below) as well since it will allow you to compile a variety of Video_TS folders into one DvD. I believe that includes both SL and DL Dvd's.
Making a VIDEO_TS Compilation
You can create a DVD by compiling multiple DVD-Video VIDEO_TS
folders onto one disc and play it on a set-top DVD player or in a Macintosh
or Windows computer with a DVD player.
Some VIDEO_TS folders may be too large to fit on a standard recordable
4.7 GB DVD. Toast can compress this video to fit on a standard DVD, or if
your recorder supports dual-layer recordable DVDs, you can create a dual-
layer DVD-Video from this folder.
This is the best choice if you have multiple VIDEO_TS folders that you
want to compress on one DVD-Video disc.

  • Printing multiple photos onto one page

    Sorry, fairly new to PSE9!
    Have a group of photos I need to print to actual size (3cm x 4cm) to go into a photo frame.  They are all cropped and ready to go but there doesn't seem to be an option to print multiple images onto one page at a custom size?  A contact sheet only gives me the option for the number of columns and picture package doesn't give any such option either as far as I can see!  I'm sure I must be missing something here!
    Any help much appreciated!  Don't want to waste photo paper printing each small photo individually!

  • Combining two or more dvds onto one ddv

    Is it possible to copy 3 existing home made dvds onto one DVD-R disk. I can copy to a rewriteable disk DVD-RW but DVD player does not recognise the disk . Any ideas ??

    If the DVD has the space to hold the three movies then you can fit them on there. Combining DVD movies is not like adding tracks on a CD. DVDs have pretty strict rules about what goes where = authoring. You will need to reauthor the DVD, creating a new VIDEO_TS folder accommodating your three movies together so it will play on your television DVD player. This is not just putting all the files in one folder, but creating correct information files to go with the video. Even if you have a tool that will re-author for you it may not create menus, which makes navigating using your TV pretty cumbersome. Sizzle is a freeware tool that lets you create new menus, but it hasn't been upgraded in a while and is not the most intuitive. If you're happy with just the most basic of menus and working out problems with software then you can use it.
    So, simply copying the three sets of files onto a single DVD will not work in your video player, though you can play the files on your computer using a program like VLC.
    The other problem you may be encountering is blank media quality. If you are using the cheap DVDs sold in bulk in discount stores you may find your player won't be able to read them. I have put the same movie on cheap DVDs and high-quality ones. The player could not read the chap DVDs but had no problem with the identical files on a good quality DVD. RW media (be it DVD or CD) can often present even more of a problem in players than non-rewritable media, unless you player specifically states it can handle RW.

  • Combining Items From Several DVDs Onto One DVD ?

    I know this is not an FCE query but neither is it an iDVD one !
    I have several DVDs with a few short FCE-created films on each of them.
    I now want to put some of those films onto one DVD.
    It could be done by copying the films back into FCE and then burning a DVD, but that would be time-consuming and would involve generational losses.
    Is there a quicker way ? ( I have Toast 8 and Final Cut Studio if there is anything there that could help).

  • How do I burn multiple projects onto one DVD?

    I have several projects saved that are small enough to fit on one DVD.  Not sure, though, if I burn project #2 after project 1 has been burned, whether the software is smart enough to keep them separate and not over-write project #1.

    Dave0518
    Once you have burned a Timeline content to DVD-VIDEO format on DVD-R disc, the disc is finalized and you cannot burn a second time on that same disc (no multisessions). Even if you use a DVD-RW disc, the program will erase what is on the disc before burning anything to it.
    Now, if you have 3 projects and you want to combine them to be part of one DVD-VIDEO on DVD, then you need to remember that you cannot import a project (project.prel) into another project.prel. So, you have going to have to export the Timeline of each of the projects to a file. The file type selected should be consistent with the goals of the project. To be discussed in more details if necessary.Then each file is brought into a new project (set with the appropriate project preset) which is burned to DVD VIDEO on DVD disc.
    Stop markers at the end of each of the first two files is done. But, never place a stop marker at the end of the last file on the Timeline. It is not needed and can cause problems in the project.
    Please consider and let us know if you need clarification on anything written.
    Thank you.

  • Handling Multiple DVD as one project?

    Hi all,
    I am new to Encore. I got a chance to play with Production Studio CS3 (retail) before buying, and here is what I'd like to do to test my usual workflow:
    I have approx., 6 hours of video in PP CS3 (both DV and HDV) in one project.
    I'd like to create 3 DVD-Video disks from this. Is it possible to handle more than 1 DVD in Encore Project at once?
    If not, what is the best workflow for this?
    Should I split PP project to 3 separate ones, one per DVD, before export?
    Or is it possible to export only part of PP project to Encore (say, 1 sequence)?
    How do you usually handle multi-DVD workflow?
    Thanks,
    Vlad

    Welcome to the forum.
    The answer would be the same, even with CS5.
    Now, there is a recent thread on a user with multiple Projects, that have a common structure and many common Assets. I offered a workflow, that I have used for building a "template" Project, where one just Imports the unique Assets, edits the Menus, and then Burns that segment of a series of discs. In my case, I had 17 discs, in a set, and used that for all common items.
    If I can find that thread, I will post a link to it, however, if you do not have all those common assets, it will likely not be a useful workflow for you.

  • Fitting multiple videos onto one disk

    I have have 15 videos from a conference (each aprox 1hr in length) and I was wondering if somebody knew of a compression format that would compress the videos using compressor into a format that DVD SP would recognize, with the whole video/audio files being around about 200-300 MB each so that they could all fit on one DVD. quality is not the concern here, I only need DVD SP to recognize the format. I have tried H.264 because I seem to have maximum control over bit-rate with the H.264 codec, however DVD SP does not recognize the H.264 files (at least not with the compression settings I set in compressor). iDvd recognizes the same H.264 files, but I want to use DVD SP not iDvd. The DVD presets in Compressor just don't seem to get the files small enough, so I was wondering if anybody had some suggestions...
    Many thanks
    Nick

    15 hours???
    You will need to use MPEG1, or half D1 MPEG2 at the very minimum (or your max bitrate would have to be no more than 1Mbps), you'll need a dual layer disc and then compress your audio to AC3 at 192kbps. Then, and only then, could you get close to 15 hours on a single disc.
    Unless you use a double sided dual layer disc (a DVD18) if you can find one to burn to. In this case, you can raise the bitrate to a whopping 2mbps.
    If you use MPEG1 then your video bitrate will naturally be in the order of 1Mbps, and you will know from watching MPEG1 footage that the quality is low. Using Half D1 means you can use MPEG2, and your bitrate can be low (as you are losing half the horizontal resolution) and still maintain some quality. In my opinion, Half D1 gives a better result than MPEG1, but it is subjective.
    I believe that you can raise the encoding rate on half d1 to about 2mbps on a DVD-9 to get 900 minutes on the disc, but you'll need to do some bit budgeting to be sure.
    It's a big ask, whichever route you follow, and as Shawn said, almost certainly going to look very low quality.

  • How to save multiple artboards onto one PDF?

    Hi,
    I've got a large Illustrator file with five artboards, my client asked for seperate PDF's of each artboard which is what I'm used to, but they've also asked for a PDF that shows all the artboards at the same time (basically looking like it does from the file I'm working on). I've trawled the settings and the web but to no avail. I've tried printing to PDF from the print menu but the only printer is Adobe Postscript File; whereas online people can select PDF from the menu settings. Am I missing something here?
    Thanks

    > "To save out one page from multiple artboars, then, you simply select to highlight the artboard you want to save out from the artboard floating palette. Then, choose save as PDF."
    I'd say that still won't work, Meganchi.
    The OP is asking for something different. Imagine an Illustrator document with 4 artboards. On each of the artboards there is just one filled circle. The task is to create a single page .pdf that contains all 4 circles according to their (relative) positions on the former separate artboards.

  • Merging multiple records onto one page

    I have two questions for successfully setting up a mail merge:
    1.  I have a .csv file that contains multiple records.  All but one column contains one line of text.  I have one column in the record that contains several paragraphs of text.
    Problem:  The merge sees the paragraph returns (or line breaks) as an indicator to go to the next record.  What's the work-around for this?
    2.  I need the records to flow one after another.
    Problem:  It's merging one record per page.
    Background that may help (maybe merge is not the feature I should be using):
    I'm designing a newspaper that contains about 150 book reviews.  The reviews stem from a database that I'm exporting as a csv.  Rather than converting/formatting the reviews from the database by hand (like I have been doing), I thought InDesign must have some automated way of handling this.
    This is an example of what one record looks like:
    Italian For Beginners
    By Kristen Hammel
    Random House, $12.95, 53 pages
    Don’t be fooled by the //Italian for Beginners// cover photo of an Audrey Hepburn look-alike on the back on an Italian motorcycle with her arms around a handsome man. This novel is stronger and meatier than another  “American falls in love in Italy” love story.  Yes, the protagonist Cat Connelly escapes to Italy to find herself after tiring of being the center of everyone’s dismay as an unmarried 34-year-old overly-responsible sister, daughter, and granddaughter.
    And yes, there is romance, but it comes with a twist.  The best part of the novel is watching Cat shed her carefully constructed identity and past.  Harmel’s character discovers an authentic Rome from a family, insider’s perspective. The Italizan zest for life and her own connection to Italy allows her to throw off her accountant-style persona and take risks.  As Cat examines her deep-seated fears and biases,  she also discovers those things that give her true peace, joy and satisfaction.
    Will Cat fall in love with a handsome Italian? Or will she fall in love with her own long-suppressed Italian heritage and natural gifts? Read the novel to find out, and you’ll also find a bonus at the end of the novel: five authentic  recipes inspired by Italian for Beginners.  Mangi, mangi, buon appetito!

    Can anyone help?

    First the easy part. To get multiple records per page, create only one placeholder in the upper left position. ID duplicates EVERYTHING on the page as many times as it can using your spacing selections. If you have one element at the top of the page and another at the bottom, for example, ID will not be able to put additional records on that page because there is no space.
    Text frames should be no larger than necessary to hold the data. They won't grow or shrink to fit during the merge, so you'll have gaps if the length of the text varies from record to record.
    Now, for how to fix the line-break problem. In the data file substitute a character, or group of characters you won't be using anywhre else for each return. After the merge use Find/Change to replace the substituted cahracters with real breaks.

  • ILife 09 Multiple Prints onto One Sheet of A4

    Hi - Anyone know how to pick a couple of photo's from one event, size them, arrange them and print them on sheet of A4?
    Help wasting loads of A4 photo paper doing one 6x4 per page!!
    Thanks J

    select the photos and click print - select the printer, paper size and print size (be sure that they will fit - for example 4 6x4 prints will not fit on an A4 - 12 inches of print can not be done on an 11.69 inch piece of paper) remembering that they need some white space - you will have to experiment to see how large you can go
    Then click customize and in the setting (the gear looking icon at the bottom of the page) select multiple prints per page - the preview will reflect your settings and show you what is going to print
    Click print and select any printer specific options
    And note that if the print size is not in a 4:3 ratio you will get cropping unless you pre crop to the ratio you will be printing
    Click print and you will have your prints

  • Mixing Multiple Formats Onto One Timeline

    I am currently editing a reel of my material and was wondering the best way to mix multiple formats together. The two that I need to go onto the same timeline are dvcpro hd which was shot 720p at 24 frames per second and apple pro res ntsc with a telecine pulldown on it. Should I through the 720p footage through compressor, if so what should i export it as? thanks

    One way to do it:
    Use Compressor to make the HD movie 16x9 SD(853x480) 29.97 ProRes or PRHQ.

  • Splitting multiple rows onto one row with different fields

    Hi all,
    I have a table. One Course_Code have multiple section_codes i.e. ("NUM" column does not relate to sectype its just an order!)
    Code--------num----Sec_code---Sectype---DESC----------------WEIGHT
    1603--------1-------7427-----------C------------Coursework--------     50
    1603--------2-------7428-----------E------------     Exam----------------     50
    When I query this table i want to be able to see the coursework, exam split on the same row. i.e.
    Code-----Coursework---------Exam
    1603-----C=50------------------E=50
    any help would be great

    Hi,
    "Splitting" means taking an item (such s a string like 'C=50') and diviiding it into smal;ler items (such as the sub-strings 'C' and '50'). Are you really trying to split something, or are you trying to do just the opposite (e.g., combine smaller strings into a bigger string)?
    I think what you're looking for is a Pivot . Like so many other things, exactly how to do it depends on your version of Oracle and your requirements.
    Here's one way:
    SELECT       code
    ,       MIN (CASE WHEN descr = 'Coursework' THEN sectype END)
           ||  '='
           MIN (CASE WHEN descr = 'Coursework' THEN weight  END)     AS coursework
    ,       MIN (CASE WHEN descr = 'Exam'       THEN sectype END)
           ||  '='
           MIN (CASE WHEN descr = 'Exam'           THEN weight  END)     AS exam
    FROM       table_x
    GROUP BY  code
    ;This will work in Oracle 8.1 and higher. Starting in Oracle 11.1, you could also use the SELECT ... PIVOT feature.
    I hope this answers your question.
    If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all tables, and also post the results you want from that data.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
    Always say which version of Oracle you're using.

  • Stringing multiple actions onto one click?

    Is it possible to have multiple actions happen, either simultaneously, or one right after another, with only one click causing this?

    Yes it is. In the Build Inspector, click the button labeled "More Options", which will reveal the Build Order drawer. Here you can set which builds/actions occur in which order, which builds/actions occur simultaneously, and whether they are triggered by a click.

  • Multiple libraries for one ipod and match?

    Ok, so... I've got about 1500 songs purchased via itunes, and own about 3500 CDs, which I'm in the process of adding to my library.  All but about 50 of the discs were already ripped years ago, and I'm just copying the backup mp3s onto my new external drive after the last one failed.  Anyhow, I just got itunes Match and I'm wondering if I made a mistake in doing so.  Is there a way to have songs from multiple libraries on my ipod?  Due to the sheer volume of music (and other thigns) I own, I'm wondering if I should just make a comedy library, a blues library, a synthpop library, a metal one, a rock & roll one, an oldies one and so on.  If I do that, will I be relegated to having to decide what style of music I want on my ipod at any given time, or is there a way for me to load different items from multiple libraries onto the thing?
    I'm halfway tempted to just delete my entire library from itunes and just be SUPER picky about what tracks I add in order to be able to get under the 25K limit.  As is, right now I've got 21411 items in my library, over 20000 of which are in match, but it keeps crashing on step 3 right now.  As is, I already know I need to re-mp3 some of the discs since when I did them originally they were less than 96K (oddly, I'm finding it's mainly on my "oldies" discs like the American Graffiti soundtrack), and that doens't bug me, but the idea of having to go through song by song and add only what I want is one I'm not too fond of and that I'd like to avoid if at all possible.
    I'm really digging match, but not so much now that I realized there's a hard limit to the number of songs available.  I don't think Apple is used to folks like me who live & breathe music and attend well over 100 concerts in the average year.
    Thanks for anyone who's read all of my rambling, and any of y'all who can provide me a bit of guidance!
    -Ann

    This would be making is WAY less difficult. This is a MUCH needed feature in iTunes that they should add. As a DJ I absolutely hate having all my music in one library. Certain genres, like Electronic music, deserve to be in their own library. I would like to be able to hit the Music icon on my iPod and have it ask me what library of music I would like to access.
    This would allow siblings to share one iPod and not have to combine all of their music together. Or you could make a library of music with no explicicit music on it (and passcode it) so that you don't have to worry about kids having access to your explicit material if you let them use your iPod.
    You can already make multiple libraries in iTunes, why not just add the obvious next step and be able to add multiple libraries onto one iPod.

  • Creating multiple panels in one frame

    Greetings,
    As a newbie, I am sure you all have been in my place at one time or another so I will skip right to the meat of what I am trying to do.
    I originally started out with GridBagLayout() and placing all my code in the main function declaration but that has it's limits.
    I am trying to find a way to mount / add multiple panes onto one JPanel using functions in order to break up the code. I don't get an error when I compile, but the screen appears blank which tells me that I am adding one JPanel onto another in the wrong manner.
    class PanelTest extends JFrame
      private JPanel mainPanel;
      private JPanel headerPanel;
      public void PanelTest()
        mainPanel = new JPanel(new BorderLayout());
        mainPanel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(mainPanel, BoxLayout.PAGE_AXIS));
        mainPanel.setBorder(BorderFactory.createEmptyBorder(5,5,5,5));
        mainPanel.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(400, 100));
        mainPanel.add(topPanel(), BorderLayout.NORTH);
        getContentPane().add(topPanel());
      private JPanel topPanel()
        headerPanel = new JPanel ();
        headerPanel.setPreferredSize(new Dimension (300, 50));
        headerPanel.setBorder(BorderFactory.createCompoundBorder(
                BorderFactory.createTitledBorder("Header Image"),
                BorderFactory.createEmptyBorder(5,5,5,5)));
        JLabel text = new JLabel("TEST");
        headerPanel.add(text);
        return headerPanel;
    }I then use the following code in my main file to call and execute the code
    class BerylMain extends JFrame
      public static void main(String args[])
         PanelTest panelTest = new PanelTest();
         panelTest.setDefaultCloseOperation (JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
         panelTest.setSize(500, 400);
         panelTest.setVisible(true);
    }I appreciate any advise on this.

    public void PanelTest()  {
        /* try commenting this.
