Multiple E-Mail id entry in vendor master in ECC6.0

Hi,
I have one issue related to multiple E-mail address entry in ECC6.0.  we upgreaded customer system from 4.6c to ecc6.0.
1. In 4.6c, we have the provision to enter multiple E-mail ids continuously with comma seperating each id in the e-mail address field of vendor master where as in ecc6.0 system will through error message"invalid e-mail id" if you try to enter more than one e-mail id in the e-mail address field because ecc6.0 validates e-mail address field where as 4.6c dont validate this field entries. You have to enter one mail id at a time in the e-mail address maintenance popup and keep on adding one by one to maintain more than one id.
2. So, what happens to the old vendor master records that were there in4.6c after upgrade. Do we need to change them to the compatible format with ecc6.0.If so, this is to be done manually one by one vendor master record or isthere a way to change all these records at time automatically.
3. Is there a readily available SAP Note for this?
Your help in this regard is much appreciated as this is an open issue in the upgrade process.
Thanks & Regards
Sundar

I ever experience the same thing when upgarade from 4.7 to ECC6.0.It's because the send mail protocol using SMTP interface (you can ask detail about SMTP with the basis guy).
in the vendor master email address per line, it cannot contain special character like comma, etc.
Maybe you already know , that you can put the mail address in the next line record, but it will take a lot of efford to change all the mail address for vendors. And I'm not sure which one is the best way to handle this.we handle it by bypass the checking for the special character considering the go live situation, so the old email address still remain the same, and can be maintain in the old way.
but in the future you better ask the vendor custodian team to maintain the email address per line (one email per record),then you can revert back the bypass check after that. maybe there's another way or method , but i dont  have any clue, maybe others can share their experience also.
also you might face another issue for sending mail, we modify the logic to split the email address per comma.
Below is several notes, maybe it can helps
Note 721723 - Mail receipt: Error with special characters in addresses
Note 1016127 - SMTP mail: Error when addresses have special character

  • PO to be sent to multiple e-mail ids' of same vendor

    Hi,
We are on 4.7.  When we transmit the PO through e-mail via 'external send' option, it is sending to one e-mail id of a particular vendor.  Even if there are multiple e-mail id's available for a vendor in the address details of vendor master, we have to flag one id to which the PO has to be sent.
but our requirement is to send the PO to all the e-mail ids' available in the vendor master automatically.  any solution please.
    regards,
    mallik

    Hello Mallik,
The starndard SAP functionality will use vendor's default email ID when you trigger email for purchase order. so I will suggest you to create one distribution list (take help from network guy/ admin which will include all email addresses of the vendor and mention this email address in vendor master record.
    Hope this will help.

  • Two E-mail I.D in Vendor master

    Dear Expertise,
I have question regarding Purchase order massage sending.
Would any body so kind to help me in the following matter.
Suppose two different E-Mail I.D maintained in the vendor master & E-mail sending is chose as a out put type of massage setting in  a PO created against that vendor.
My question is that whether the PO send to both the email I.Ds that maintain in vendor master or to a single mail I.D that maintain as standard email I.D?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    SP sahu

    Hi ,
This is one of the SDN posting I am giving you . Beyond I won't be able to help you .
    SDN Posting attachment -
When using external mail, the following basic settings are required:
    1. You must maintain an e-mail address in the address in the vendor master.
    2. The same applies to your own user master. You also have to specify an e-mail address there in order to identify the sender.
    • Note that it is not possible to change the e-mail address of the vendor via the SAP purchase order transaction (ME21N, ME22N, and so on).
    • The system only uses the e-mail address of the vendor that is maintained in the vendor master!
    3. For the output type for default values, a communication strategy needs to be maintained in the Customizing that supports the e-mail. You can find the definition of the communication strategy in the Customizing via the following path: (SPRO -> IMG -> SAP Web Application Server -> Basic Services -> Message Control -> Define Communication Strategy). As a default, communication strategy CS01 is delivered. This already contains the necessary entry for the external communication. Bear in mind that without a suitable communication strategy it is not possible to communicate with a partner via Medium 5 (external sending).
    4. Use the standard SAP environment (program 'SAPFM06P', FORM routine 'ENTRY_NEU' and form 'MEDRUCK') as the processing routines.
    5. In the condition records for the output type NEU (for example, Transaction MN04), use medium '5' (External send). Then in Transaction M/34 for the output type NEU add the medium '5' (External send) in Partner functions & Processing routines.
6.Then Create a PO…Go to Messages>select the output type & medium '5' (External send). Then communication method > Comm Strategy “CS01”. Remoce Print immediately if it is ticked.
    7. Then go back ,Select message>Further data>Dispatch time>Select 'Send immediately (when saving application)'
    Back and save PO.
    8. Check SCOT. PO will be in the waiting list. If u want to see the detailed list of waiting items then go to transaction SOST. Specify the Send date, select the check box Waiting & execute.
If you want further details Please check the SAP note 191470.
    Or
If you want a particular document in PDF , Goto SE38 enter program as RSTXPDFT4 , Enter Spool number of the document generated while print output that you want to convert in to PDF. Give location where you want to save. open the file in PDF format. Then attach this file to the email.

  • Send AP payment advice e-mail to multiple e-mail addresses?

    Hello all,
I implemented Business Transaction Event 2040 to determine whether a vendor payment advice should be paper or e-mail.  The SAP code that populates the e-mail address from the vendor's master record only uses the first e-mail address, regardless of how many e-mail addresses are entered.
Have any of you found a way to send the e-mail to all of the addresses in the vendor master address table, ADR6, without making a modification to SAP's code?  I tried putting multiple e-mail addresses in the first address field.  The data validation that is being performed did not allow multiple addresses.
When I asked this question of SAP, their answer was that there's nothing wrong and that they would be happy to charge for remote consulting to provide that functionality.
I know that we could create a group e-mail address within our e-mail application for every vendor that wants the e-mail to be sent to multiple recipients.  Then enter that group e-mail address in the first line of the vendor master e-mail data.  I don't really want to do this because this would entail AP staff requesting to have that group set up and maintained by the staff that maintains the e-mail application.
Since we have the ability to enter multiple e-mail addresses for vendors, it seems like the payment advice e-mail that is generated should send an e-mail for every entry in the vendor master.
    Thanks
    Bruce

    Anil,
We are using program RFFOUS_T to create the payment advice.  Your solution of copying that program and modifying it would work.  But I don't want to go to the time and trouble of doing that.
Because the volume of vendors that have multiple e-mail addresses is small, we'll just create group e-mail addresses in our e-mail application (Lotus Notes) and use that group e-mail address in the vendor master e-mail screen.
SAP doesn't consider this an error.  At best it is a serious shortcoming.  I have a hard time believing that I'm the first or only customer that has asked about and for this.
    Thanks
    Bruce

    Hi Experts,
Sending POu2019s to multiple e-mail addresses
I having requirement to send pos to multiple e-mail addresses to single vendor.
For vendor All the multiple mail ids can be stored in vendor master.
Once we create the po by taking that vendor then mail has to trigger to all mail ids stored in that vendor.
As of now in standard , once we save the po then the mail is triggering to one mail id.
For this when I checked with my abap team they told that :
u201CStandard function module which we have checked is connected to standard BOR method.
It is not advisable to enhance the STD BOR method and there is no provision of enhancement points in the form where we need to do our changes.u201D
So please help whether can we do any enhancement for this.

  • Vendor bank details in vendor master

    Dear All,
where do we maintain the bank details of the vendor so that they would appear in payment advise to bank( Developed form). Is it in vendor master details. Then
How do we come to know which bank if the vendor has more than one bank account. How to display the same in the form.
In short the relevance of bank details in vendor master and how to display them in payment advice(when multiple bank accounts are there)
Please help to resolve the issue
    Sapfrido

    Hello All,
If there are multiple bank accounts specified in the vendor master data, and if it is required to select desired one while making the payment, then the field Bank Type can be used in the vendor master data.
Against each bank of vendor specify a bank type say 0001, 0002 , 0003 etc...
In the invoice, under the payment tab there is field name Partner Bank wherein you can specify the bank type mentioned in the vendor master. This will make sure the payment to this invoice happens through a specified bank.

  • Carrier Details on Field status group for vendor master

    Hi,
I have a requirement to make the SCAC and Carrier freight group as required fields on vendor master .
but the standard SAP system requires/ allows three fields : SCAC , carrier freight group and Service agent procedure group as mandatory to be activated under the 'carrier details ' column in the field status group (transaction OB23 and OBD3).
I want to know if there is a way to flag just the SCAC and carrier freight group as required fields for entry in vendor master .
    Thanks
    Naga Yarramsetty

    Hi All,
Thanks for your reply. With user exit and validation, I cannot create mandatory mark in FS00. Actually SAP make this description always mandatory. But there is no mandatory mark in this column. I just want to create mandatory mark in this column. Need you advice.
    Thanks,

  • Alternate Payee AZ partner role in Vendor Master pop up in PO

    Hi,
Can anybody help when multiple alternate payees are created in vendor master, when the same vendor is called in a PO, the system should pop up the multiple payees for user to select the required payee. This is coming for other partner roles OA& PI but not for AZ. Does anybody has a solution.
    regards
    Bala

    Thanks for the reply.
AZ is not marked as unique. And we are able to enter multiple payees in permitted payees in vendor master. But when you get to PO it must propose the user for to select any one, right and that is not happening for only AZ. Let me know.

  • Muliple Bank Accounts In Vendor Master

    Hi,
I have multiple bank accounts maintained in the vendor master data. However in the F110 automatic payment run the system always takes the first bank account. How can i specify in the F110 to select the second bank account maintained in the vendor master data?

    Hi
Please check your Bank determination. Here you will have defined the ranking order for your banks. This is for configuration for your bank selection(tcode OBVCU). For the selection of banks in the customer/vendor master, check settings in the payment method company code. You have a setting for bank optimization. This settings you need to see. (T code -OBVU)

    Hi,
Sort Key can be made as mandatory through SPRO settings.
SPRO > Financial Accounting New > Accounts receivable and accounts payable > vendor accounts > Master Data > Preparations for creating vendor master data > Define Account groups with screen layout > Double click on your account group > Double Click on company code data > Double clcik on account management  > Make the field sort key as required entry.

  • Secure Bank details in Vendor Master

We need to "secure" the payment transaction screen with banking details for specific users. Only specific users will be able to view the bank details of the vendor, not all the vendors. • Work flow for vendor Master

    Hi Experts,
I am new to workflow. This is very basic question. I have a requirement to send mail through workflow during vendor master creation. i.e after every creation of vendor master , an intimation should be sent to  user.
    Guide me.
    Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi,
As said by velsankar you need to customize the BO LFA1 as I believe there is no standard event for vendor creation. So I think you need to create a custom event. Then You change the status of your custom BO to released and then finally you need to configure the Change document object LFA1 for event created in SWEC tcode. Check the radio button 'On Create'  and this will do the job.
