Multiple EAR files in one single domain ?

can i deploy multiple EAR files in single domain
thanks,
KM

I'm not sure what a "domain" is in this context. I suppose it depends on the J2EE server you're using. Weblogic has something called a "domain", and sure in that server you can deploy multiple EARs in one domain, and there can be multiple domains.

  • Concatenate multiple pdf files into one single postscript file

    Hi,
Could anyone help me with a code to "Concatenate Multiple pdf files into one single postscript file" ?
    Thanks for the help

Thanks for your reply! Actually the main purpose is to allow user to select multiple pdf documents on a single web page and then he should be able to print all of them at once by hitting the print button on the web page instead of selecting each document seperately to print it. Also he should be able to see all the printing services available to print those documents.
    Thanks,

  • Burn multiple video files to one single DVD

I am converting a ton of old home videos to digital format, and I want to store them on DVDs.  I'm using Elgato Video Capture to connect my VCR to my Mac which works fine for creating mp4s.  I can then "right-click" on the mp4 file name in Finder and one of the options is "Burn [filename] to Disc".  This is fine.  But my problem is that many of these videos are fairly short clips and I don't want to use one single DVD for each one.
Does anyone know any way that I can burn multiple mp4 files onto one single DVD?  Whenever I go to burn one of them to Disc, it seems to want a blank disc each time.
I suspect there is software out there that I could purchase, but I was hoping not to spend much money on this project.  Any way of doing this in the standard Mac software?  Or maybe a not too expensive DVD burner software I could buy which would allow this?
    Thanks!

  • Concatenate multiple pdf files into one single file

    hi,
Could any one help me with a code "combining or merging multiple pdf files selected from the browser into one single document" to send it as one single request to the printer?
    Thanks ,

It is called the Big Faceless PDF library.
they have a free trial download.
in regards to doing it yourself, of course.
but this is a pure java library that can do what you want without you having to re-invent the wheel (for a price of course).
they have excellent technical support as well, usually solving your problem within a day or so.

  • How do i combine multiple pdf file into a single pdf file?

how do i combine multiple pdf files into a single pdf file?

The thread was started in early March and it's Mid-April, I know this very well. The OP of this thread posted a very common and simple question or maybe he/she would have resolved this. For an Adobe Acrobat user it's not at all difficult to combine multiple PDF files into one. But to combine PDF files full version of Adobe Acrobat is mainly required, otherwise PDF files can't be combined. For example, I'm using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. These simple steps are mainly required to combine PDF files:
    Open Adobe Acrobat.
Click on Combine and click on Merge files into a single PDF.
A window will be appearing, click on Add Files and select the PDF files you want to combine.
Arrange the selected files in any order with the help of Move Up and Move Down button.
Now click on Combine File and the selected PDF files will be combined within a few seconds.
A new PDF file will be created. Click on Save As and name this new PDF file. Then, click on Save.
A new PDF file will be created and all the selected PDF files are combined in it. The steps shown above might be different in other versions of Adobe Acrobat. Other than this, some third-party PDF merge software are also available. Most of them are available with a demo version for free evaluation. I've heard much about SysInfoTools PDF Merge software on other forums and directories and it's demo version is freely available. One may check its demo version if Adobe Acrobat (full version) is not available.

  • Multiple ear files

Lately at work we have been having a lot of discussion on the pros and cons of having one ear file for multiple projects or breaking the model down into multiple ear files. Its basically a portal environment with a lot of different portlets as separate projects. WSAD is being used for development while the project is deployed on WAS. Rach portlet is a separate WAR file packaged into the same EAR file.
The topic of discussion is incase one of the WAR files is changed whether
    1) We should have a new build for the whole ear file.
    2) Just update the one war file in the ear file.
    3) redesign the whole thing so that each portlet rather than having a separate war file should have a separate ear file.
It is with this in mind that I am asking you gurus of your opinions and preferences. In case you could point out to some useful links that would be welcome too. I am sure you people would put in your ideas and it would be a good learning exercise for me.
    Thanks

The pro is an absence of cons. If you don't needa
bunch of EAR files, don't make a bunch of EARfiles.
    That simplifies deployment, tracking, management,
etc.But exactly the same arguement exists the other way
    around.
    deployment:-
If you have to deploy one module you donot have to
regenerate the whole ear file rather just building
this one ear file would do.Not on my watch. If any code changes you need to run
the acceptance tests again for the whole shebang. I'd
want ant to figure out which components get rebuilt,
    not a human.
    tracking:-
Since you are in control of which modules aredeployed
and each module is deplyed separately so you donot
need to do the regression test each time there is a
deployment. And you donot need to test the
fuctionality of the rest of the modules.Being in control doesn't mean you shouldn't run the
    acceptance tests.
    management:-
in case a bug is found in one of the modules onlythat
module could be replaced with a previous buildrather
than losing the changes in the rest of the modules. But you have to regression test everything else to
make sure that bug fix didn't break something else, or
that the bug fix is applied to every component that
    shares the same source code.
Strive for more testing instead of less.as per the def of an ear file
An EAR is a deployment contract. Each EAR should represent a complete application and should not rely on code external to the EAR file, except what is provided by the application server itself.
so we donot need to run tests for the rest of the ear files and thats one of the benefits but what are the drawbacks?

  • Multiple SOA clusters within a Single Domain

    Hi All,
We're looking at a scenario where there would be multiple SOA clusters within a single domain. Would that be possible to do? I mean I can create multiple SOA clusters but it seems that applications deployed to one of the 2 SOA clusters seem to go into an inconsistent state. Please advise. Thank you.

This is just because all SOA servers in a domain will refer to one(same) SOAINFRA schema for SOA deployments info and hence belong to same logical group (cluster) and that's the reason why you cann't even have two separate SOA managed servers without a cluster.

  • Joining multiple mp3 files into one

    Hi all,
I am very puzzled as to how to merge multiple mp3 files into one, to upload to Mixcloud. Now, I do have the "Join Together" script and it worked like a charm a few times but now it just freezes and there's nothing I can do.
Any ideas? Is there any DJ software, other than Nicecast, that could merge the files?
Any help will be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Fronzenfields,
A lot of folks preparing mixes for Mixcloud use Audacity.  It is a free audio editor, and has both Mac and Windows versions.
Besides joining tracks, it will also let you do crossfades, volume adjustments and other typical audo editing functions necesary to create a good quality mix.
Editing in Audacity does not modify the original tracks.  You import the tracks into Audacity, do the edits, and  then export a single MP3.

  • Create multiple SOA Clusters in a single domain?

Is it allowed to create multiple SOA Clusters in a single domain with both SOA Clusters sharing the same soa-infra schema but deploying different composites?
    Create a domain with
    - Admin server (AdminServer)
    - SOA_Cluster1
    -soa_server1
    -soa_server2
    - SOA_Cluster2
    -soa_server3
    -soa_server4
SOA_Cluster1 will need to deploy servcies A, B and C and SOA_Cluster2 will have services A, D and E. Is there any documentation which can help us with this?

Thanks for the document link but it seems that the document was created only yesterday. Can you elaborate on "only one set of SOA schemas is allowed per SOA domain/cluster". I was able to build another SOA cluster_2 to my existing domain with SOA_cluster1 pretty successfully. The only problem was the internal JMS queues were configured as Uniform Distributed. hence i was not able to point them to 2 clusters.

I have tried a lot to find an app or some way in email to attach multiple of pdf files in one email. I could not find anything that sends multiple pdf file in one email and still keeping the file in simple pdf format for the recipient.

I am not aware of a way except for photos that allows you to select multiple files in an email. I even checked settings in the Adobe Reader app, and it does not show that ability.

  • Help!!! I can't save multiple PDF documents into one single PDF!  Need answers!

    Hello!
I'm trying to save a very large PDF file.  I'm using Adobe Acrobat X Pro.  There are about 200 plus pages and I'm trying to save merged PDF files as one single PDF document.  I've compressed the PDF's as much as I could prior to saving.  For some reason, the process of saving it as a single file takes a long time and usually doesn't work.  Will a higher version of Adobe be faster?  I was told that Adobe X is a 32 bit program and that could be why it's running slow.  I'm unfamiliar with how it all works so I'm hoping someone could offer a simple explanation as to why this is happening and a solution on how to make something as simple as saving a document, go faster.
    Thank you!
    c

Best to keep the replies in the other post, but I wanted to comment on something you said "I was told that Adobe X is a 32 bit program and that could be why it's running slow." Yes, it's a 32 bit program. No, it's complete nonsense to say that 32 bit programs run slow. There seems to be a general belief that 64 bit is better because, well, because, um, because it's a bigger number so it must be, right? Sorry, I'm not mocking you, but there is such nonsense about this, that I think software makers are having to put a lot of effort into making 64 bit software for no good reason at all.

  • Can I use Visual Basic to covert form user data from multiple .pdf files to a single .csv file?

Can I use Visual Basic to covert form user data from multiple .pdf files to a single .csv file?  If so, how?

You can automate Acrobat using IAC (InterApplication Communications), as documented in the Acrobat SDK. Your program could loop through a collection of PDFs, load them in Acrobat, extract the form data from each, and generate a CSV file that contains the data.
Acrobat can also do this with its "Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet" function, but this is a manual process.

  • How to combine multiple Unmanaged Solution to one single Managed solution

    Hi,
How to combine multiple Unmanaged Solution to one single Managed solution.?
There were some other third party developer have kept things lik ein UAT there are 2 release solution and both are Managed Solution.
And in Production the changes are only deployed for release 1 and for the release 2 changes deployment needs to be done.
But when i import that second release Managed Solution from UAT to Production then i got number of elements missing but i have checked they are already there in Soolution.
I did some R&D on this but not much helpful.
I thought i require to convert Unmanaged Solution of Production environment to Managed first for first release and then needs to import Managed solution of UAT to Production for second release.
Is this the right way to overcome form this situation?
Any help and response would be really appreciated.
    Thanks.
