Multiple Editors on website

We have two people that want to have access to our website to edit and create new pages. The website was created on one person's Mac and the other person has a Mac as well. Is this possible? How do we do this?

The person doing the editing at any one moment needs the most up to date copy of the Domain.sites2 file to launch the site in iWeb.
The default location for this file is Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iWeb.
To transfer this file to another Mac - not in the same location - you can create a zip and email it or upload it to the root folder of the server.

As much as I hate to admit it, YOU ARE RIGHT!
I will tread lightly on this project.
    Thanks for the sanity check,

  • How To Manage Premiere Cache Files On A Central Storage Server with Multiple editors

Look for the proper recommended setup in a shared storage environment with multiple editors. Where do cache files reside on each editor locally or on the shared storage.
This is in a Windows 7 Environment using EMC2 Isilon for our shared storage. We are running Premier Pro CC 2014 8.1 Caravan Build 8.2.0(65)

  • Firefox asks me if I "want to connect to:" every website, multiple times per website; to the point now its so annoying, i don't even use firefox. What can I do to correct this? Do I have a virus?

when i initially open firefox, this is what pops up. This type of thing pops up multiple time per website.
    Firefox
wants to connect to snippets.mozilla.com on TCP port
    443(https). show details
its asks me if i want to allow" or Deny"
Similar pop ups come up continuously during my time on each site.

Firefox and other browsers would need access to ports 80 and 443 to work. I think you may want to enable port 80 and port 443 (when it asks) and choose '''Forever''' or at least '''Until Quit''' for a smoother experience. If you believe you downloaded Firefox from a safe site like mozilla.org and your PC is safe (like, there is no other rogue app that can hijack Firefox) then there shouldn't be cause for concern to give it '''Forever''' exception on ports 80 and 443.
    edit:
"however it was working fine, until all of a sudden"
This may happen if Firefox was updated, because the old signature or hash stored by the security application for Firefox would change. This may also mean that the previous version of Firefox already had unhindered access.

  • Multiple Choices RE: Website Builder Forms

Website Builder at Verizon has forms you can add. On one element, a drop down box of choices you can edit the nature of the drop down. At that area you can check "accept multiple choices" or something close to that. I have that checked but the only choice that gets submitted is the last choice highlighted. What am I doing wrong. I appreciate any help and I will work on it some more in the mean time.  Thanks!  Jack

I tried everything talked about on this thread however here's my issue. I need to do three levels of cascading selections.
    Table 1: Country
Table 2: State ( has a one to many relationship between Country and State based on foreign keys)
Table 3: City ( has a one to many relationship between State and City based on foreign keys)
Table 4: District ( has a one to many relationship between City, and District based on foreign keys)
I can cascade user list choice inputs between Country and State (VO 1).
I can also cascade user list choices between State and City (VO 2).
I can also cascade user list choices between City and District (VO 3).
How do I cascade list user choices between VO1 and VO2? Based on the choices selected from the user in VO1, I want to cascade the selection to VO2. etc.
I followed Shay's example. See link below
    http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/got_to_love_cascading_lovs_in
However, this example is cascading based on one VO. How do I cascade this through multiple VO's?

  • Multiple editors - one finalcut project

    I read in the finalcutserver product overview;
    http://images.apple.com/finalcutserver/docs/FinalCut_Server_ProductOverview.pdf
    this:
"Working with multiple Final Cut Pro editors
Multiple Final Cut Pro editors can work on different sections of a film or video production at the same time by creating a separate project for each section. These projects all share the same referenced assets, with no need for additional copies or storage. When the sequences are finished, the separate projects can be assembled into a single master project for further editing and delivery. Version management makes it easy to revert to a previous version for each defined section of the program."
But when I have installed FCServer and read the manual I can't see any reference to this functionality.
Had anyone else gotten this to work and in that case how?

It works pretty much as you described in your question. Here is one possible way.
First, the lead editor or assistant makes a FCP project. They give it the right name according to your show ID procedures. They make a Master sequence that is the proper format then they make other sequences that are placed into (nested) the Master sequence. These sub-sequences are broken out by the shows format (title segment, segment 01, 02... end credits) now the lead editor assigns these sub-sequences to the other editors. The assistant brings all assets for this show into FCP and then uploads the project to FCserver. Now each editor works on their sub-sequence and there work appears in the Master sequence. If at some point it's determine that a previous version of a segment was better then the current on just revert to that version.
You may have to manually up-date the Master sequence as the versioning may change the sub-sequence name and thus not show in the Master sequence. You of course could just wait until all the sub-sequences are approved then make a master sequence.

  • Multiple Editor Tabs in SQL Developer

I am on the current release of SQL Developer (1.5.4, build 5940). Every time I log into a database instance (doesn't seem to matter which instance), I get multiple code editor tabs. For example, if I log into an instance called 'ABC System', I'll get a tab labeled 'ABC System' and a 2nd tab labeled 'ABC System-1'.
It is not a serious problem, as I can delete one of the tabs and continue my work, but it is a bit of an annoyance. Has anyone else encountered this problem and know of a fix? Thank you very much.

    Hi,
Once you have more than one tab open (frozen/pinned) in a connection's object viewer pane, just right-click on the tab and select "New Editor Tab Group". That tab is then placed in its own pane side-by-side with the original pane.

  • Multiple Problems with website

Hi, I've recently created my second website in Dreamweaver which was a friend who has a bed and breakfast www.snowatthebarn.co.uk
However I have various problems with it:
    1. The site looks fine in Safari/Firefox but on some computers which run Internet Explorer the Divs at the top of the page are all jumbled up and the text overlaps. I've posted the html for the index page and the code for the attached external style sheet at the bottom of this list of questions. Does anyone have any idea where I am going wrong? I've also attached a screenshot of what it looks like.
    2. I've tried googling the website and when I use certain keywords the site is listed but for some reason there is no blue title to click on - just the url at the bottom - again I've attached a screenshot. Can anyone see anything missing in my code which is causing this?
3.The bed and breakfast/guest house is in a small village called Marshfield in South West England. There are probably only 2 or 3 other guest houses in the village. However when I google 'bed and breakfast marshfield' the site isn't listed until the 4th, 5th or 6th pages (depending on search terms). i have included a list of keywords in my code just after the head tag. Does anyone know why the site is comming down so low in the listings? I don't think he has any links to the site yet but surely the site should come up on the first or second page despite this?
    4. Further to the question above - there is a Marshfield in America - a lot of American sites are comming up before the site that I created. Should mine not be given priority for people searching in the UK since it has a co.uk name? I see that the two or three other bed and breakfasts in the village come up first and second when searching for 'bed and breakfast marshfiled'
5.I have put a google map into his website in the 'Directions' page. However, despite listing his business with google maps, there is no pointer on the map. When I log into the google account I created for him and go to 'Maps' it shows his business marked on the map with a pointer but when I search in google there is no pointer. Any ideas what I need to do to get this to work?
    Here are the two screenshots:

Here is the html for the .index page:

On man phew!. Your using completely the incorrect technique to build websites, absolutely positioned <divs>. Bad! bad! bad!
I can only offer a sticking plaster patch up for you to unjumble the text at the top of the page in  IE.
    Step 1:
First copy all the css below and paste it into a new css document and save it to your site folder as global.css (do not overwrite your existing css style file at this stage just in case you want to revert back to it)
    body {
        background-color: #49602B;
        font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif;

  • Problem with multiple WordPress Azure Websites?

I've been using Azure to host my Wordpress blog for a while with no issues. Today I tried creating a 2nd Wordpress website on Azure though and I'm having a problem.
After setting up the website, when I click on <new blog>.azurewebsites.net I get to a blank white page, if I try <new blog>.azurewebsites.net/wp-admin I get redirected to <existing blog>.azurewebsites.net/wp-login to login to
    my existing blog's dashboard.
One thing that might be worth mentioning is that when creating the new blog I used my existing MySQL database. Could that be a problem?

    Hi,
Please try to create a new web hosting plan, then create a new wordpress and select this as your web hosting plan, refer to  http://blogs.msdn.com/b/benjaminperkins/archive/2014/10/01/azure-website-hosting-plans-whp.aspx
    for more details.

  • Multiple programming language website(including Java)

I have to design a website for a startup business based out of New York. I actually have yet to be briefed as to the nature of the business but that's besides the point. What I'm trying to figure out is in what areas of the website would it be best to implement Java/Javascript. I know html, css, and will use PHP for database access. Now that the intro is out of the way, here are my questions.
-Can Java access/create databases, namely MySQL?
-The website needs to be graphically well put together, I was actually going to use the sun.com website for a model. Would Java be best for graphics or should I stick to CSS?
-Is it possible to make a workable website(images, databasing, editing) with only a Java applet?
Just for the record, I'm still learning Java, and I'm fairly fluent with html, css, and php.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, Java can definitely access databases (including MySQL). The keyword here is JDBC.
Avoid Java on the client side for "normal" websites. Just use it to generate classical website formats (HTML, CSS, ...) on the server side.
You probably could produce an entire website inside an Applet, but I'd suggest strongly against it (as you'd lock out anyone who doesn't have/want Java installed on his PC, also there'd probably be accessibility problems).

  • Multiple Editors For One Calendar??? Please Help!

Is there any way at all to allow more than one person to edit a single calendar? I'd like to be able to keep a calendar for my boss that both he and I can update from our respective machines. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

    Greetings,
In order for a calendar to be seen / edited by multiple computers it must be hosted on a server or you must install sharing software.
If you have a Gmail account (or sign up for one as they are free) you can add your calendar to Google. :http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iCal/4.0/en/28066.html
You can then add the same Gmail account to your boss' iCal and he can see and edit the same calendar.
    Hope that helps.

  • Firefox tabs open multiple connections to websites per tab.

I keep getting blocked from certain websites for attempted DDoSing, I spoke to a webdev of one of the sites and it appears that each firefox tab connection is opening at least 10 connections to the website instead of one, which means I get blocked from the website regularly and can't connect to it.
I have no plugins ie fasterfox or anything similar, however I do have TuneUp Utilites and I fear that that may have done something to cause my problem, however I am still unsure.
== URL of affected sites ==

Ok, made the reset as told by cor-el, disabled also the Sync plugin thinking that FF may get back data from sync server, bu no joy...
each time I start FF again, I get same bad ( for sure ) parameters in About:Config panel... is there a way to save them before restarting FF...? I found no info about this...
    My About:Config parameters are :
    network.http.max-connections;48
    network.http.max-connections-per-server;16
    network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy;16
    network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server;8
    network.http.pipelining;true
    network.http.pipelining.firstrequest;true
    network.http.pipelining.maxrequests;8
    network.http.proxy.pipelining;true
    network.http.request.max-start-delay;0
I think request.max-start-delay is the one causing the most troubles...

  • InCopy Proofing Workflow for multiple editors - How do you do it?

We are using InCopy CS3 for our monthly magazine and have successfully completed the first issue. It went fairly smooth, but we are still playing with how the two editors keep track of the proofing. Knowing who has look at what, when and if they have fully made changes or not has been difficult.
We would like to know what others are doing for this part of the work flow.
How do you keep track of edit proofs, how many have been completed, who looked at what and when. Currently our editors are adding a note to the end of each body copy and they put their initials in it when they are done with a proof. Then the next one to look at it adds theirs when complete. Sometimes the proof goes back and forth a few times before returning to the designer. Inevitably it heads back to proofing again after the designer has cleaned it up. Knowing who has it and who still needs to look at it can get confusing. Sometimes an editor forgets to proof an article and the only way to remind them is to send an email after noticing it has not come back to the designer, or talk to them in person.
Does anyone have a better/different way/ways of keeping track of the proofing process? Any ideas that we may be able to integrate into our work flow would be great. Thanks!

Thanks Robert. That is what I thought you meant by slug.
We have tried that, and currently use it. Works well for notes in the document outside of the text boxes, but it does nothing for alerting an editor that they need to look at the proof. Or keep track of where everything is in the process without opening each part of the magazine.
Any other ideas out there? Does anyone else run into issues with keeping track of the process and what is done, in progress, etc.?
    Thanks!

  • Can't get video to play in multiple browsers with website designed in DW 5.5

    Help!

#1 most servers are cAsE sEnSiTiVe.   For best results on the web, use all lower case file and folder names.
#2 rename your folder/file names without any spaces.  White spaces in folder and file names throws validation errors in HTML5 docs.
    Where you have this
    the failures Web Episodes/
    Change it to
    the-failures-web-episodes/
    or
    the_failures_web_episodes/
Or better yet, just shorten it to web_episodes/
#3 what app did you use to convert your 3 video files?  You may be missing required codecs.
#4 is your server configured to support the new MIME file types?

  • Multiple editors on one project

Is it possible for two people, on two computers, to work on one FCP project at the same time? If so how.

Duplicate the media to a second drive and attach it to the second computer. BE SURE TO APPEND A LETTER OR SOMETHING to the file name so you do not confuse versions.
Example: computer a cuts sequences 1,2,3, computer b cuts 4,5, and 6. Sooner or later you're going to have to join it all together-- move the project file from b to a, open it and copy the sequences needed to whatever will be the master project.
it really helps to have the same file structure on the two drives so you won't have reconnection issues.
    Or get a SAN
