Multiple email send issue/question

When I send a mass email to multiple addresses at once, if one email address is bad, it stops the entire email to everyone else and the email lands in the outbox. Is there a way to bypass this so the other recipients still get the email when I send it?

I'm having the same problem. Everything worked fine earlier today, both sending and receiving. Now emails are still coming in, but I cannot get any to send. I hit the send button and the email disappears, but absolutely nothing else happens. I then quit Mail, re-launch it and there is the email that I tried to send...sitting there as if nothing happened - which it didn't! I have a .Mac email address.

  • Droid Eris 2.1 OTA update 7/18/10 - Email Send Issue?

I installed the pushed OTA Android 2.1 update yesterday (7/18/10).  Since then I cannot send emails over the 3G network.  I have checked my email settings multiple times.  It can send emails fine if I disable "mobile" and enable "Wifi", but not if both are anabled together.  Anyone else having this issue?  Any awareness and suggestions from Verizon?
    Thanks.

    1. I called Verizon - >  they said call HTC.
    2. I called Insight (my ISP, email provider) to verify servers, security, port setings.  All check out OK.  Exactly what I used before the OTA android 2.1 update, and it worked fine.
    3. I called HTC - > they said my ports much be wrong...call Insight again.
    4. I called Insight again - set-up and ports still check out OK and there are no alternatives.
The only thing I have not done yet is check if sending email over WiFi works on other networks (I've only tried at home over insightbb.com)
Not sure what to do after that....
I get 3G arrows blinking on the phone seemingly indicating activity when I try to send a message, but they clearly go nowhere.
I get no error messages during set-up of my email account (everything verifies as I go through the steps).  I get no error messages when I send a message. Everything shows up in my "Sent" folder as if it went through.
So, all indications appear normal, but something isn't working.
    Any ideas?  Verizon...?
Can I get my phone's previous software version back?  It worked fine with the same settings.

  • Address book - multiple emails - send to all

I have a contact who has requested that when I send her email that I use both of the email addresses in her address book entry. I know how to pick which one to use, but apparently there is not a way to use both of them. I have circumvented the problem by creating another address book entry ("Jane Doe 2") and putting both of them in the group; this gets the email sent to both addresses but is rather a kludge.

Thank you, V.K. The good news is that the group is large and the email addresses are hidden in the BCC field so Jane won't know that I have two entries for her in my address book. (And yes, I know I could call them both "Jane Doe" but at some point I would probably shoot myself in the foot by deleting the duplicate without realizing why it's there.)
I was surprised that whoever coded Address Book and/or Mail didn't use the usual convention of being able to select multiple entries in a list. This would be a nice enhancement for a future release; it's really not that unusual for someone to request that mail be routinely sent to both a home and work email address.

  • Email send issue using "Mail Server Load balancer"  (Cisco ACE 20)

Please let me know if someone have experienced this kind of issue or any suggestions.
The send email action was working file in MII with smtp mail server on port 25. Recently basis did a change in mail server ip address and they installed a new Load Balancer . The Load balancer is between SMTP and MII. After this change MII does not send email (unknown source error). now MII send email action has ip address or qualified path of Load balancer in MII send email configuration instead of direct ip address of SMTP server. Below is the error message in Net Weaver logs.
MII still sends email if direct ip address of email server  provided but not through email Load balancer .
    Any suggestions ?

  • EMail sending issues?

I seem to be having mixed results when I get an email on my phone, using my wireless network at home or in public.
About 50% of the time I get a bounce "Server rejected Address" or something to that effect - when I am REPLYING to an incoming email.
The rest of the time it works. Sending and receiving email was one of the main reasons I bought the phone. Any idea what is up with this?

One suggestion for all having send problems.. I have found that using a service such as GoDaddy works very well with the iPhone. They provide domain registration and web email packages for reasonable prices (less than $20/yr).
I ran into a similar problem even with them and the answer ended up being you have to specify the port on the send server address:
    Example:
GoDaddy's send server would be entered as follows:
    smtpout.secureserver.net:80
Without specifying port 80, it automatically defaults to port 25 which depending on if you are EDGE connected or WiFi connected may or may not work.
You may be able to solve the problem for your specific ISP if you contact them and ask them for the specific port used.
If they can't help, services like GoDaddy appear to work.. Also a plus is the ability to have your own custom domain name..
Also another plus is that this particular service appears to handle the pop lock connect/disconnect issue smoothly which often happens when connected via EDGE.

  • Email Send Issue

No matter if on Wireless or on WiFi, I have issues sending Emails from time to time.  Sometimes I can reply to one email, then on the very next email, I cannot.  Like a minute after success, it fails.
And then, of course, it tries over and over to send, repeatedly failing.  It's frustrating.
Is there anything I can do to get more consistent performance?

  • Z10 SMTP Email Sending Issues

    Hello
Could you let me know if you have a workaround for the issue with not being able to send SMTP emails from the new Blackberry Z10 on build 10.0.10.82
The message I get is 'Protocol Layer was unable to send a message'
There is an ever growing discussion on the message boards….
    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-z10-f254/unable-send-some-e-mails-protocol-layer-unable-send.../
    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-z10-f254/heads-up-email-bug-recent-z10-os-versions-779341/
    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-z10-f254/cant-send-e-mail-via-smtp-z10-785848/
    I have tried the following;
Using a different port for smtp (currently using 465 with SSL)
Tried turning SSL off and using port 25
Tried using a local smtp from my service provider (Etisalat raher than auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk)
    Using a different email
    None of the above work.
    Any assistance much appreciated...

Yes please -- it's annoying that March-2013 update has introduced such a crippling facility.
I have IMAP and Exchange accounts setup, and all of my email accounts suffer this problem every day ..
Quite dibilitating - and not good when this is my primary communication device... I dont look forward to having to resort to an Android based phone if this doesnt get fixed fairly soon
    Regards
@6hugo9 - I think that you are talking about two seperate issues, unless you are also using 1&1 as your email provider.
@jjclarke - The 1&1 issue looks like it is being looked into, there is a KB article here. That said, the more of you that call into your Carrier's Blackberry support teams and report the issue, the more likely you are to get it resolved. You may even find that there is already a resolution in the pipeline waiting for Carrier's to OK the release of the updated software?
@6hugo9 - you are listing a number of seperate issues in your linked threads. There is a bug that shows up on some servers over SMTP that the z10 is botching the HTML encoding on the emails (fortunately my server are not having this issue, knock on wood!), also others are having issues with ports being blocked (port 25 is quite frequently blocked by ISPs for anti-spam reasons) which would stop email from being sent.. as you wouldn't be able to connect to your server.
Regardless, the best way to get to the bottom of that issue is also to call your carrier's Blackberry support team.. that will get the issue escalated on the development side. The "more the merrier", so to speak.
A little birdie told me that when that SMTP encoding bug was introduced, the Blackberry support teams were swamped with calls.. So one has to assume that the devs were then working hard on resolving the issue. I imagine that we are all now waiting on our carriers for the fix to be sent through after they get done with the Carrier's "OS tests" that are always delaying our software updates.
Best bet is always to call in and get a resolution, especially for extremely important issues like this one.

  • Multiple email security issues

I have my business and personal emails on ipad email. In the past two months two f my work emails have end up in my personal email account. I contacted google and after an extensive review they tell me this is An ipad issue . Same for iPhone.
I am not convinced this is an iOS issue but wanted to make sure before I get back to google. Help please

I also use both personal and work gmail accounts on my iPad. I don't know of a situation where mails can be mixed like this. I think it's more likely an issue with you - mostly because I've made the same mistaken assumption. Just guessing here but....
I suspect, like my situation, the emails you received were replies to emails you sent initially (or replied) from the wrong account.
Check the history and see if you had accidentally done that.

  • Multiple Boot Camp Issues & Questions

    Hello,
I installed windows xp on my late 2008 macbook a couple months back. My Mac has 4gb RAM and 250gb HDD. I allotted 80gb to Windows XP, as I use it to run 3D Studio Max as well as Adobe CS4. Ever since the Mac side has been running sluggish (not horrible, just not like before) It's restarts are much longer for example, and it seems the fan is working harder, regardless of it being in Mac OS X or Windows XP.
Now, I know its not the Windows partion size, because i originally had a 32gb partition and it just wasnt big enough, but it actually ran slower then. All I'm wondering is:
-could there be something wrong with my fan?
I downloaded Fan control and on average the left fan says 1600rpm and the right fan says - 1prm(why is hte right so low?)
-is there anything i can do to optimize my mac to perform at its best?
-will bootcamp 3.0 (coming with snow leopard) be able to run 64bit windows vista/7?
Sorry for the long post, but if anybody could answer some or all of my questions, it'd be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Austin

Once you have Windows installed and in use, it behaves no differently than Windows on a PC. In addition, you may run into issues related to Apple-specific hardware.

  • Email sending issues with iPad and iPhone

II've been having intermittent problems sending email on my iPhone 5c and ipad 2. I have deleted and added my accounts, spent quite a bit of time with my internet provider, checked and double checked settings, turned the phone/iPad off and on...it's very frustrating. It was okay for a couple days and now is problematic again. I even got an error message -cannot send mail - when the tech support person got my message. This really seems like something Apple needs to address.

    Hi Lori,
    Mac OS X (10.6.4)
If you are running v10.6.4, click the Apple () menu (top left in your screen) Software Update ...
Then sync both devices, restart both devices.

  • AOL email sending issue, after latest iphone update

I have updated to the latest os. Now suddenly my AOL emai laddress has stopped sending, recieving is fine.  I am alos using the company wifi, which is bt.  I have also changed the outgoing mail server settings to smtp.btinternet.com, but still cant send.
Does anyone have any idea that might fix this.
    Jeff

no, you need to actually go to your settings and change it to push data rather then fetch it manually.
Settings>mail contacts and calendars>fetch new data>Push should say on.
and if it says its already on, tap it to turn it off, then tap again to turn it back on.
also, www.downrightnow.com you can see how extremely often throughout the day yahoo mail servers are down.

  • Yahoo Mail sending multiple emails

I've had it for the last few days. Today I sent quite a few emails out .....40 was sent with one and 15 with another and so on.I'm fuming but most of all it's so embarrassing! I've been trying to get through to Sky....40 mins and counting...

Hi all,  I am having the same issue and have been for the past couple of days, it seems to be ok if I compose an email from scratch but replying to an email sent to me is where I have the multiple email sending issue. Agree it is also very annoying and wish Sky would get it sorted quickly. As I was looking through this website a pop up appeared and asked me to do a survey about the Sky Community, which I did and told them what I thought about this issue and their inability to deal with it - or even respond to the posts on this forum!!! Not sure how else to complain without an email address or holding on the phone for ages, so did it through this survey!!

  • ICal sends multiple emails for invites and updates to event attendees - HELP!

Every time I create or send an event in iCal, it sends multiple emails to each attendee (2-3 duplicate emails) with the same event.  So if I have 3 event invitees, they get 3 emails each.  All the emails are sent from the correct account in Apple Mail, and the calendar itself shows only one email address for each attendee, but for some reason the sent folder shows that each person was emailed 2-3 times.  This is causing quite a problem for work, as any invite I send is clogging up inboxes with duplicate and triplicates for each attendee.
When I send a meeting acceptance, it only sends one reply, so I have no idea why it's duplicating or triplicating events when new ones are sent out or udpated by me.  I can't delete my calendar without losing important events from clients or what not, so I'm not sure what to do.
    Also notable:
I am NOT using iCloud calendars as I needed to create a calendar group and iCloud didn't support that.
My calendar is syncing to an FTP so that people in my main office can view and download my calendar as needed.
I am on a brand new (not even 2 mos old) MacBook Pro Retina 2013 model, with OS X 10.8.3
    I am on Calendar 6.0
I can't change/update events on my calendar from one sub-calendar to another once they are created (though I can edit on my iPhone and resync). This is really annoying and I've posted about this before to no avail (thread here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/21646850#21646850 and here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3920017?start=0&tstart=0).
For now (for this thread) I'd like any help possible in getting my calendar to send just ONE email to meeting attendees when I create and/or update an event.
    Thanks!

I have the same issue.  Did you get a resolution to this?  Whenever I add a new person to the meeting invite iCal always resends the entire invite...it should just send the invite to newly added participants.

  • I am sending emails to a Smart Group created in my address book.   The contact in my address book has multiple email addresses.  Is there a way for the email to go to both addresses?  (ex:  work and home email address under one contact)

In my address book, I have contacts that have multiple email addresses.  (ex:  home and work)   I have created a smart group off of the company name in the contact.  When I send emails, I want it to go to both email address listed in the contact.  Is there a way to make this happen?  Or do I have to have a separate contact for each email address?

I will agree with you on this one. Version 31 and all the fixes so far are a mess. Since I have been here answering questions for a little more than a year now I have learned to wait to upgrade until all the dust settles. I see no end to the dust storm version 31 has caused. I am still on version 24.6 and plan on staying there for the duration. At least until the developers comes to their senses and put out a working product.

  • Issue having seperate data pushes for multiple email accounts

I've always had gmail set up through my phone. I love push and don't receive any issues using it.I recently added a 2nd, work email (exchange) to my phone. However, I'd prefer to manually check the exchange account while leaving my gmail on push. I can't seem to figure it out though. My best guess was to go:
    settings>mail>fetch new data>advanced.
I have my gmail on push and my exchange on manual. I would assume the advance settings override the push and fetch settings on the primary "fetch new data" screen. However, nothing seems to be working the way I want it to. Sometimes my phone will auto-update my exchange, sometimes i'll get gmail belated, etc.
If anyone could please advise the proper settings for both the primary screen as well as the advance settings in order to have my exchange on manual and gmail on push.
    Thanks

Note sure what G mail is, but if it involves another isp email provider not interested, I have multiple accounts as a garbage dump for spam possibilities too much spam on one account bye bye. Usually 2 main email accounts though. btw, not a memory issue either. still plenty left. Was looking at the contacts thread and there is receiving/sending issues with email since 2.0 update anyway.
