Multiple End User Application

Hello everyone,
I am newbie to oracle APEX, just would like to seek some information from you all.
I would like to build a normal system withl end user registration inside the application.
That means I have a user table with username and password, how can I can direct different page to different user login?
Thanks for advance

Hi
You could create a branch of the type 'Branch to function returning a page' and reference the :APP_USER variable to derive the target page from a table?
Cheers
Ben

    Hi Team ,
Enterprise Portal : SAP Netweaver 7.0 We have updated Support pack from SP11 to SP21.
and in End user application log-off tab is not working.

    Dear Kamal,
I can think of 2 reasons:
    1. Java Version
    2. Compatibilty Mode of Internet Explorer. There is a button on the address bar next to the refresh button in IE 9.

  • Need end user application system requirements

I am writing a proposal for developing an end user DLL or standalone application, using LabVIEW 7 and IMAQ vision. I need to paste in an electronic copy of a description, preferably from NI itself, of what system the user will need, including RAM and disk space requirements, operating system, etc. The software would be developed and tested only on a Windows 2000 machine. This electronic document would be something like the release notes from the LabVIEW Application Builder. Got a URL or something to send by email?

    The Release Notes say:
"When you deploy an application you build, the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine requires a minimum of 64 MB of RAM and a screen resolution of 800 × 600 pixels for applications that require a screen, but National Instruments recommends 256 MB of RAM and a screen resolution of 1,024 × 768 pixels."
And on Windows, "The LabVIEW Run-Time Engine requires at least 25 MB of disk space, but National Instruments recommends 155 MB of disk space if you install the default drivers from the National Instruments Device Drivers CD."
If we need to add more details on this issue, can you please email your feedback to [email protected] so we can address it in a future version of LabVIEW?

  • Imposible to login to an application like end user

I try to develop an application with Oracle Application Express together with Oracle XE.
Oracle XE is installed on a different computer.
I'm working to a different computer that is a client. Also the application is already (partial) created some users with different rights are also created (developers, end users and workspace administrator). When I try to connect like end user, I get this message you have below:
Logout (link to logout of application)
Access denied by Application security check (message)
Return to application. (link to return to application)
What is wrong that I cannot connect like end user?

    Hi Paul,
This is the setting in this moment for my application. I tried also to set different security check for every one page and then try to connect only to that page only.
Also I have some endusers that must to connect to my application like enduser. Answer is same.
I try to setup authorisation schema properly using database users (I've done some users in my XE database with same name and same password). Also, I get same answer.
I'll try step by step all possible combinations for security check, because there is no logic answer for my mind in this moment with all these security schemas. See here what they are saying in help files:
Application Express Authentication checks the user name and password against the Oracle Application Express account repository.
There is a nonsense answer that I get from application part, because a developer account is working very well.
    Best regards to you,
    Daniel

  • Why can't I open PDF files on my iMac. I installed Adobe Reader and accepted the end user license, as instructed then quit the application and relaunched it and I still can't view the PDF document. The screen comes out black. Please advice. Thanks

Why can I view PDF files from the Web on my iMac even after I installed Adobe Reader and accepted the end user license agreement.I then quit the application relaunched it, as instructed snd still the PDF document comes out blank or black. Please advice. Thanks
    Chef Rey

Are you saying that Adobe Reader or Preview can't read PDF file that you download? Or, are you saying that you can't display PDF files in your Safari broweer? If the latter, then delete any AdobePDFViewer plugins you find in /Library/Internet Plug-ins/ and restart. That should allow Safari to display PDFs in its window. BTW, that's the worst place to view them. Better to download them and use Adobe Reader or Preview.

  • Do we need to maintain end users in Gateway system when SAP UI5 Application is deployed on Gateway?

    Hi All,
We are developing a SAP UI5 application and we deploy our components in Gateway System as BSP application.
    The question now is:::
We have 3 screens. We need to use our application by share point portal.
we will be giving the respective URL's (i.e index.html) to portal team and they will be integrating it through URL iViews
At a glance users can only see a single screen once they login to application. through portal
This will be taken care by Portal Team.
Do we need to maintain the end users on Gateway system  for accessing the application?
    We have SSO feature.
Could you please let me know the possible ways?
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards,
    Satya

Although I will not advise it, you can turn off authentication in SICF. Go to the service node for you application, and "hardcode" a service user.
Please check if this is compatible with your license agreement, because I seriously doubt it.

  • Questions for the end users in Building an application.

Questions for the end users in Building an application.
    Hello,
I am assigned a project in building a CF application. As far
as the business requirements, I have an idea from the MIS people.
However, I have a meeting with direct users and I have to ask
questions to add to my requirements. I am still a beginner in this
but I need to ask questions.
Can anyone give me tips? what basic / important questions?

    For starters,
    DO:
Ask them to discuss what they want to do with the application
Try to understand their level of computer literacy
    Keep your conversation non-technical
Continue to interact with the users during the design and
    development process
Try to identify a "champion" with whom you can interface as the
    project progresses
    DON'T:
Use technical terms or discuss technical issues
    Talk down to them
Promise delivery dates until you have documented their
requirements and they have approved them

  • How to disable end user personalisation for all webdynpro application.

    Dear Experts,
I have a requirement where I have to disable the end user personalization of each and every
    webdynpro application in my server.
I know how to disable the personalization of a single application or a single component, but my requirement is to disable the personalization of all applications.
    Request you to please suggest.
    Warm Regards,

    Hi,
    As per SAP help,
    Customizing: User-Independent, Client-Wide Modifications
While a single user u2013 during a personalization process u2013 can manipulate his or her own settings, an administrator has the option of executing Customizing settings for all users. Technically, this procedure is not different from personalization; both take place at runtime of an application. The difference lies in the range of the settings. In addition, for these global settings an application must run in a special administration session. This is always automatically the case if an application was started in the portal in the preview session. Independently of the portal, you can start an application in the following manner from within the workbench in administration mode:
Double-click the name of the application in the object list.
In the Web Dynpro Applications menu in the upper, left-hand corner of the Workbench window, choose  Test  Execute in Admin Mode .
The configuration mode is passed to an application as the sap-config-mode=X URL parameter.
    Note
All the adjustments made by the administrator in admin mode are stored as client-specific. Presently no option is available for structuring smaller user groups on an administrative basis. Since cross-client adjustment applies to the respective configuration, the structuring of smaller groups can be implemented currently through the maintenance of different configurations.
    End of the note.
You start personalization by calling up the context menu for the respective UI element in your application. In the corresponding context menu for an administrator (that is, with URL parameter sap-config-mode=X), in addition to the standard settings administrators have the option within a UI element container to sort either single lines (Grid, Matrix aund RowLayout) or single elements (FlowLayout).
    Note
Administrators require special authorization for client-wide modifications. This can be a developer authorization or the special authorization S_WDR_P13N. You cannot create configurations at design time with this authorization, but you can make modifications at runtime.
    End of the note.
These modifications are valid for all users but take place in the current client only.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

  • Multiple JRE's running on end user computer IE6

    Hi - First time poster...
I was reading the other topic on the Citrix server and JRE's, so I wanted to ask if it was the same for end user computers.
We have an upgrade that will be performed that will use JRE 1.4.2_06. Currently, we have 1.4.1_05 on some computers and 1.4.2_05 on others.
Those are used for other applications that require the JRE. When the 1.4.2_06 is installed, will it trash those applications and not work if 1.4.2_06 is not supported, or will it find the current version it needs (since it's still there) and use that?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Gene

It won't trash the applications (see http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/compatibility.html to get 100% proof). If you install a new version, this will be used by default (if you just use "java"). Of course you can still use other JREs / SDKs when you explicitely use the version ("c:\Programme\j2sdk1.4.2_04\bin\java").

  • Adding Sip Phones - "End User" Vs "Application User"

Can we use "Application User" as the  'Owner ID' & 'Digest User' when Adding a 3rd Party Sip Phone? Since our CUCM is integrated with LDAP, we cannot create new 'End User' without calling the AD Administrator.

You need an End User account. Just create a new OU in LDAP and place all of the phones there if they are not assigned to a real user.  Assign a long/random password to secure the account from all other logins.

  • Is it possible for an end user to change application Theme?

    Hi
Is it possible for an End user to change the theme or Font of the application.
We have a requirement where End user should able to change color or font of application (like we do theme change in some social networking websites)
    Please provide some suggestions.
    Many Thanks
    --Vijay

    You could:
    1. export your current theme
    2. change the exported file using a good editor and change the path
    #IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_10/
    to
    #IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_&THEME_NUMBER./
and do that also with all strings related to that theme number.
    3. crete an application item THEME_NUMBER
    4. create an application computation for THEME_NUMBER to set it to a value (10) in case the value is null
    5. import the theme and make it the current theme
    6. create a link in your application which will set the value of THEME_NUMBER to whatever - 1 to 20 for the standard themes - and submit the change
This will change the template as you specify.
This explanation is of course simplified. Depending on the design of your application it may require considering some other details that need to be adjusted.
    Something like in this example:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=25882:1
The assumption is that all of your referenced classes in all css files have the same name for the same class with a leading theme number (which istn't the case in standart themes). However, this can at least give you an idea on how to proceed. I have done that with some custom themes I created and it works very well.

  • "Available" applications randomly installing themselves without end-user triggering

    Hi, I'm running SCCM 2012 SP1 CU2.
I have a problem where a long list of "available" applications will install themselves on a workstation without any end-user action.  I'm getting reports of this happening 2 or 3 times per week in an environment of 14,000 workstations (XP
    and W7).
A couple minutes after a user logs on, between 30 and 70 applications get installed in quick succession.  I can confirm that these apps do NOT have a "required" deployment type; they are all "available".
It is definitely SCCM doing it, as I can see all the .MSIs in \windows\ccmcache.
    AppDiscovery.log (numerous similar messages):
ActionType - Install will use Content Id: Content_c758362d... + Content Version: 1 for AppDT "application 1 (*.msi file)"

    CDCMAgentJob::PopulateCIsFromAssignment - [SKIPPING] CI policy Id :ScopeId_8FB9C6D8...
All the applications that are getting installed are Applications (not packages), deployed as "available", that are set to install as the user, and are targeted to a large machine collection.
We have about 70 deployments like this, but I've seen variation where between 30 and 70 of these apps will get installed.  Each incident will install a different subset of these 70 apps.
We've been cutting over our legacy packages to applications over time.  The problem was first reported about a month ago.
    Ideas?
    Thanks,
    Nick.

Any other triggers, you may get from event log? Also, all the machines/users have this problem or only subset of machines?

  • End user - Access denied by application security check

    Hello all,
Being a new Apex developer, I'm really hoping someone can point out the magic solution to this problem. I have just created my first Apex application and have only 3 end users who will be using it. I create their username and passwords as the admin and everything is fine, until they try to log on. That's when I get the Access denied... error. However, if I switch them from an end user to a developer, they are magically able to log in and access the application (as a developer obviously). I should mention they are internal users and have internal account credentials, so it shouldn't be this difficult.
This is particularly maddening because I have tried every combination of authorization and authentication I can think of. I am at the point where there is no authorization scheme and it still won't let them in.
Searching through the forums, I've come across threads that mention this error when an Admin tries to log on, but not an end user.
If anyone has ANY ideas, it would be most appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi,
What URL have you given to the users to gain access to the application. Are they trying to access it via the developer login?
What version of APEX/oracle are you using.
APEX using embedded PL/SQL gateway should look something like this
http://hostname:port/apex/f?p=101 where 101 is the application id
    APEX using Apache
The URL should look something like this
http://hostname:port/pls/apex/f?p=101 where 101 is the application id

  • Forms application not opening for the end user.

I have an Oracle Form that works fine when I copy the url into the browser and user the login credentials of the schema owner. But when I use the credentials of the end user, it does not open the form. I receive no error messages.
To troubleshoot, I opened the form in Forms Builder, log in as the end user and Compile, but I get no error messages.
I also took a call to a server-side procedure that is in the Form, and ran it in SQL Developer, once again while logged in as the end user, and it ran successfully.
I’m not sure what could be wrong. Any suggestions on how to debug this?
