Multiple ethernet connections in one computer?

I have two ethernet connections in my computer (2 IP Addr) I would like one connection to talk to a PLC(UPD) While the other (wireless) to talk to a printer across the room (TCP Visa Resource- open and write) Is this possible in LV7.1

There should be no problem. Assuming your network is setup properly and
each network card has its own subnet, the TCP/IP socket driver should
route any package through the correct network interface.

  • Can i setup multiple Apple IDs on one computer

    Hi
My partner and I recently sold our laptops and bought an iMac and want to keep our itunes, music, playlists separate.  Is it possible to setup multiple Apple IDs on one computer?
    Thanks
    Denise

Each person in your home can have their own Apple ID provided it is tied the their own separate email address.
iTunes permits up to five authorized computers connected to a single Apple ID: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
For this all to work well, however, each user in your household should have a separate user account on the computer they commonly use.

  • How many AppleTVs can connect to one computer?

I have a client that would like to set up a large number of 2nd Generation AppleTVs to be synced to one Mac's iTunes and iPhoto libraries.
What's the maximum number of ATVs that can connect to one computer? My client would like to connect 13, but is there a maximum number?

Bear in mind that unlike AppleTV1 you cannot AFAIK specify different photo content to different AppleTVs - you'd therefore need to get the 13 'different' slideshows on each maybe using events, then manually choose the differing slideshow to run if doing all of this remotely.
If someone could walk around and just hook a laptop up to each AppleTv to transfer photos over ethernet you'd have more flexibility, but this would be a chore if AppleTV lost photos for any reason.
I don't use photos much with ATV2 and am unsure if they survive a reboot or power outage in memory.  Also unsure if there's a limit to the number of photos that can be transferred.

  • Multiple iPad sync on one computer fail

I am confused about how to maintain two iPads on one computer.  Try it and I get dialog boxes threatening to erase all the content on one iPad.  Do I creat multiple libraries? That seems risky in light of the "threat" message in the dialog boxes. Is there a simpler way. Why can't I just plug iPad #1 and iPad #2 into a computer and have iTunes recognize that each one should have a separate library? This seems really silly.

  • How do I manage multiple Iphone accounts on one computer

My wife desperaely needed to back up her iPhone (been over teo years).  I didn't want to do this given that she woulde lose two years worth of data, but we decided to plow ahead.  I hit the update button and was advised that there was an earlier backup from last fall.  I said I wated to use that back up.  Unfortunately it was a backup for my daughter's iphone 5c and now my wife's phone is simply a clone of the 5C.  What can I do to pul at least some of her account information back out and show her iPhone again on the devices list?

    It certainly is possible.

A single computer can be authorized for multiple iTunes accounts but only one account can be signed into the store at a time.
Frankly, you are better off with unique Windows User accounts for each user.

  • HT1689 How do I download multiple itunes accounts on one computer under one user?

Recenlty moved to one account on our windows 7 computer to cut down on potential malware issues that allowed malware to migrate over to other user accounts.  However, we have different iTunes accounts and want to be able to download our individual music from each of our devices that include an iphone 4, iphone 4S, and ipod.  How do I create this capability under one windows 7 user account?

    It certainly is possible.

  • Multiple ethernet connections

    Hey guys,
Is it possible to run 2 ethernet connections, potentially one for upstream and one for downstream using a standard ethernet port and a thunderbolt ethernet adapter?
    Cheers
    Jacob

I am not sure exactly what you mean by upstream,/downstream but yes it is possible to use two or more Ethernet interfaces on a Mac. Apart from the built-in Ethernet port, the second could be as you stated the Apple Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter, or a USB to Ethernet adapter.
Possible usage scenarios include using one for the LAN and one for WAN connections, or bonding them together to make a 2Gbps combined link using 802.3ad aka. LACP trunk connection, or using one for the Mac, and the other for a virtual machine running on the Mac. Another common use would be to use one interface for the LAN to talk to computers, and the other for talking to a SAN via iSCSI, by keeping the iSCSI traffic on a separate interface you ensure it has dedicated bandwidth improving performance.

  • Multiple db connections for one report

    Hi all,
I am using Oracle Reports 10g R2. Could someone tell me if Oracle Reports supports multiple database connections for one rdf file, like this (using servlet)
    http://your_web_server:port_num/reports/rwservlet?server=server_name&report=myreport.rdf& userid1=username/password@my_db1&userid2=username/password@my_db2 &desformat=pdf&destype=cache
I am asking this question because my report needs data from two separate Oracle databases.
    Edited by: user12239004 on Apr 27, 2010 2:14 AM

No, you can only have one login.
However, this is simple to resolve by creating a database link in one database to the other database.

  • Set up multiple iTunes accounts on one computer?

I bought each of my two daughters their own iPods for Christmas, and when I set them up, I used my iTunes account login for both of them.  It has become an issue sharing my account on their devices, because all of my information comes up on their iPods (like my messages).  How can I set up new accounts for each of them, since I only have one computer?  I want each of them to have their own iTunes accounts so they can stop using mine.  Please help!!!

  • Multiple ipods users and one computer

Our household has several iPods but use one computer. I just purchased a new iPod and when I connected to the computer (Windows XP) it allowed me to identify my ipod but sunced the other ipod user's music. I'm lost - how can I or can I maintain 2 different syncs?

When the iPods belong to different people, there are basically three ways of using multiple iPods on a computer and these involve:
    a) Sharing a single iTunes library
    b) Creating Multiple Libraries in a single user account
    c) Creating multiple user accounts.
Note: When you are sharing an iTunes library, you don't have to set each iPod to update in the same manner, you can mix and match from the options below as each iPod has it's own update settings
Sharing a Library and/or User Account
If you want to share the one library, you can set either or all of the iPods so that they only get updated with only certain playlists (you can update from more than one if you wish): Loading songs onto iPod automatically - Windows
Choosing the update option "Sync Music - Selected playlists" allows you to create a playlist specifically for the iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used some other time if you choose. You can read more about playlists at these links:
iTunes: Creating playlists of your favorite songs
How to create a Smart Playlist with iTunes
Or you can choose to update any or all of the iPods manually and just drag whatever content you want to them: Managing content manually on iPod
Loading the iPod shuffle differs slightly but it can still be used with the others, for details have a look at this page: Loading songs onto iPod shuffle - Windows
    Multiple Libraries
It's also possible to have multiple libraries in a single account. To create or access a second (or more) library, hold down the Shift key (or the Option key on a Mac) when launching iTunes 7. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to the other Library.
Note: You can only have one Library open at a time and iTunes will default to the last library opened if you don't use the keyboard command to choose one. This can prove tricky when using multiple iPods, if you don't use the keyboard command you can risk syncing to the wrong library: Using multiple iTunes libraries -Windows
    Separate User Accounts
Another option is to create a separate User account for each person on your PC or Mac. Different accounts by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. The iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists
I don't use Windows so I can't give you a step by step on that one, however I can point you to another web page which should help you out. You can read about Windows user accounts here: Using Windows XP User Accounts

  • After updating to iTunes 11, issues with multiple Apple IDs on one computer

My boyfriend and I both use the iMac, and both have Apple IDs. We are separate users on the iMac, and each logs in to his or her "side." Neither one of us had the slightest iTunes problem until we updated to iTunes 11. Now, I just discovered that the iMac is linked with his iTunes account for at least another 46 days, which means that I'm not allowed to download to the iMac purchases I made under my Apple ID on my phone.
Is there a way to fix this? It's ridiculous that one of us would be locked out for 90 days at a time when all we want to do is back up music we legally purchased.

Multiple users can "authorize" content on one computer, but in order to re-download content (including Match and stuff purchased on another device/computer), you have to "associate" the computer with that AppleID, and this can only be done for one AppleID per computer and can only change every 90 days.
This has always been the rule, but it's more obvious since iTunes 11, because all your previous purchases now appear as cloud content, and it's easy to screw things up by accident.
If you email the iTunes store, it's possible they will reset the counter and let you switch back to your AppleID (they did for me), but they will only do this once.
There's really no reason to "back up" stuff purchased from the store.  If you want to listen to it on the computer, you can do "transfer purchases" while syncing, so there are workarounds.  Still, it's unquestionably a stupid rule that punishes legitimate users and does nothing to stop illegal sharing.  I encourage you to write very nasty feedback about it.
