Multiple Exchange Activesync Contact Lists (Independent or merged?)

Hi,
I currently use a 9900.
I have a work outlook 365 account with E1 Blackberry plan. I also have a personal outlook.com account.. The contacts from these accounts sync perfectly to my BB 9900 and remian in separate contact lists. The two accounts do not merge contacts.
I have tried this on my playbook and unfortunately the contacts on both accounts are merged.
I would like to upgrade to th e Z10 and/or the Q10 but I need the seperate contact lists feature.
Can anybody advise if this works as seperate lists as with 9900 or is it like the playbook and merges all contacts.

Thanks for the question.
All the contacts that are setup under personal (ActiveSync, Carddav) will be combined. If you have a BlackBerry Enterprise Server Account, these contactswill be synchronized seperately.

How does iPhone 4 behave when it is configured to sync with multiple Exchange organizations each with different ActiveSync policies in place?
Are the policies merged to a most restrictive resultant set? Or is the first one that gets enforced use?

I was wondering is it possible to set up multiple ActiveSync accounts to E7 running Nokia Belle?

Does sombody know if this is working now??It woud not be so dificult i guess. Had an Ipod tuch and even there i coud get multiple exhange accounts and no problems with sync . The only reason i have a Nokia e7 is the keyboard i like but if the support is this bad i think this woud be my last Nokia ever. E7 is a buisness phone so wy not have the function to multiple exchange?
Im from finland and can now understand way Nokia is loosing the battle against apple and android phones !!!! If you are a Nokia fan, try for example an iphone for a few weeks and you get it.....

IOS4 Multiple Exchange Accounts (Contacts & Calendars) Merged or Separated?

Naturally I added my corporate exchange email, but not the calendar and contacts as i have my gmail via activesync doing my personal calendar and contacts.
If i ALSO enable contacts and calendars for my corporate account as well, I understand I will see both on the iPhone; however, I would like to know will my personal contacts and calendar entries get pushed to my corporate and vice versa? Or will they remain separate?
I imagine they would be separate and if I were to remove any of the accounts from my iPhone, the contacts, calendar, and email associated with that particular account will be removed from the iPhone, but leaving the contacts, email, and calendar on the iPhone of the account still remaining.

They will remain separate and won't get cross-synced. However, duplicate contacts from each account will be linked together in the "All Contacts" section on the device. So if you have a Bob Smith in each account, they'll be linked together and shown as a single contact in "All Contacts". You can manually unlink any false-positives.

I have both a yahoo.co.uk and a gmail.com email accounts. How can access my contacts when using one or the other accounts?

I am not entirely clear as to your question. With your iPad connected to your computer and you go to the Info Pane for your iPad you will find the option for incorporating your Google and Yahoo contacts. From the iPad Users Guide:
Contacts
You can sync contacts with applications such as Mac OS X Address Book, Yahoo!
Address Book, and Google Contacts on a Mac, or with Yahoo! Address Book,
Google Contacts, Windows Address Book (Microsoft Outlook Express), Windows
Vista Contacts, or Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007 on a PC. (On a Mac, you can sync
contacts with multiple applications. On a PC, you can sync contacts with only one
application at a time.)
If you sync with Yahoo! Address Book, you only need to click Configure to enter your
new login information when you change your Yahoo! ID or password after you’ve
set up syncing.

IPhone/iPad is not syncing Exchange ActiveSync Contacts

We had an issue with our mail server about a week ago which caused emails to be queued. After the problem was resolved we had one employee who had trouble receiving emails on a iPhone and iPad. The employee is able to log in to their OWA account and send/receive emails. Since then we deleted the phone and iPad out of the OWA account. When the devices were re-enrolled and the account information was pushed to both devices the person was able to view their emails, all calendar events, but no contacts. When they are using their laptop or logged in on OWA they are able to see all contacts. I have tried going to Settings -> General -> Erasing All Content and Settings, Reset All Settings, and Reset Network Settings. After the account was pushed to the iPad I turned off/on sync for contacts to re-sync. Still no contacts populated. If you add a contact to the iPad it will not add to their Exchange account. Lastly, I put their account on two different iPads, both times I was able to successfully see their mail, contacts, and calendar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if your phone is that bad off that it is "acting up severely," I'd try a reset, restore, recover and if those didn't work, go visit my local genius bar so it won't "act up severely" any more

Adding contacts across multiple exchange accounts?

I have multiple exchange accounts syncing contacts to my iPhone. When I add a contact to my phone manually, is there a way to select which account I want it to sync with, or does it always just go to the default account?
Additionally, is there any way to physically merge my :"unified contacts" and sync back to my exchange accounts (some have different info)

Thanks! I have done that, but new contacts are still only placed in the "On my iPad" group. I know that previously, without multiple Exchange accounts, contacts were automatically added to the only Exchange account.

Multiple contact lists: how do I merge them into one main list?

PLEASE HELP! I travel between two African countries regurlarly, and every time I do, I have to swap simcards (I do not roam). But, everytime I do, I find a new contact list has been created somehow in my Contacts.
I have about 7 entries now per contact as a result of this, and I'm desperate to merge them all into one main list. I'm also updating contact details, but have trouble saving them as my phone does not allow "duplicate names" (an option I selected), thus I have to delete all the other silly copies before I can change/update a contact. I did this because otherwise I don't know which contact (of the seven) has the updated info, forcing me to delete the others so I can keep track!
Please help!
1.) how do I merge the contact lists into one main list?
2.) how do I delete the other lists?

You can connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software on your PC and go to Device > Delete > Select Data > and specifically select which Address Book databases you want to delete.
I would recommend that your FIRST do a complete backup of your BlackBerry while in the Desktop Software.

Haven't used icloud yet but if we have multiple devices with multiple contacts can we save each contact list to the cloud separately?

We have four separate iPhones with four separate contact list but one family apple ID. If we back each device up to the cloud using the same apple ID will it keep the lists separate?

You can share the same Apple ID for purchasng form the iTunes and app stores without any problems, but you should all used separate iCloud accounts with separate Apple IDs. (You are not required to use the same ID for iCloud and other services as you do for the iTunes store.) This will prevent you from ending up with merged data. You should also use separate Apple IDs for iMessage and FaceTime or you will end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.

Exchange Activesync and multiple smtp addresses in same domain

Could anyone help with this if it is possible via Exchange Activesync or a third party software?:
I have a domain user called UserA with three smtp addresses in exchange server 2007SP3 (1 primary -
[email protected] ) and 2-secondary -
[email protected] and
[email protected] ).
The user has been successfullly setup on an iphone with Exchange Activesync using the primary address. Now, the management wants UserA to be setup to receive mails for the other two secondary addresses using the Domain username
UserA on the same iphone.
Our Exchange team have tested the practicality of this on the iphone and doesn't seems possible; the error was ''Can't create account- An identical Exchange account already exists''
when this was attempted on iphone. Is this error IOS related or EAS.
I have searched everywhere for any documentations from microsoft or any of the smart phone vendors (please point to any link that may exist) to confirm this as a proof to the management.

I'm seeing this same limitation and I'm needing to determine if it is an ActiveSync limitation from Exchange or if it maybe is a limitation of the mobile device.
I have customers who are delegates for multiple exchange mailboxes. For the sake of example I'll use the following:
John Smith ([email protected]) is a delegate on a shared mailbox ([email protected]) and a delegate for his boss, Cheryl Thompson ([email protected]).
John has an Iphone 4S running IOS7. He adds his exchange account ([email protected]) and accesses email/contacts/calendars on that account with no issues.
Next he adds the shared mailbox by putting [email protected] in as the email address of the account, but he uses jsmith with his password as his user credentials. The account is added and John is able to access the shared mailbox and calendars for
this account.
When he trys to add the 3rd account for his boss, he uses his boss' email address ([email protected]) with his jsmith credentials and he gets the following error: "Cannot Create Account: An identical Exchange account already exists."
Any idea of whether this is an Exchange 2010 limitation or an IOS limitation? The infrastructure we are using is Exchange 2010.

Contacts syncing then disappearing then resyncing on iPhone/iPad with Exchange Activesync 2010

Using iPhone 4S and iPad with 5.0.1 and Exchange 2010 activesync, user has about 1600 contacts, inbox is clear/empty. ISSUE: After migrating client to Windows 7 and Exchange 2010, contacts on devices sync slowly but rarely get to the total number of 1600. Gets to about 1000 contacts after 1hr of syncing, but sometimes resets after a few hundred contacts appearing. Randomly, the phone/ipad will stop syncing and all synced contacts disappear, then start resyncing again. Have set up this users login on another iPhone 4S with 5.0.1 and same issue occurs. Is not device dependent nor is the reset timer consistent so we don't believe it's a timeout issue - reset time is random. Prior to migration, user didn't experience this issue. We cleared the inbox to ensure large emails weren't causing a server timeout. Inbox and calendar appear synced. Have tried all combinations of push/fetch/# of mails etc, but sure it's not device or setup dependent. It seems something in the new server combination with 5.0.1 or perhaps a "bad" contact that the server encounters will cause the contact list "reset" and begin resyncing. Seems to be an isolated case in this enterprise server/space. On the iPads/iPhones, other contacts or mailboxes are synced, no local contacts on iTunes, and Cloud is turned entirely off. Have checked contacts for "large" contacts - total contact list folder is < 20MB due to some card images. Would appreciate any help or suggestions. Alan.

I have the same issue in my iPhone 4S (IOS 5.1.1). 3 others in my company have the same situation.
The problem started last Friday. I have not changed anything in my iPhone.
I tried turning off iCloud contacts sync, I tried recreate my Exchange account. I tried a complete reinstall.
After that I could do a full sync on Sunday.
On Monday I lost my contacts again and I could no longer do a full sync. I have 1200 contacts and I can not sync more than 400, the synchronization stops and all contacts disappear, then the resynchronization starts again.

How do I select multiple addresses from the contacts list at one time to send an email. Each time I select one, the address book closes and I have to touch the "+" key to open it back to select another address. Is there a way to select all of them at one time instead of making a group? Thanks.

Yes, once you select a person from your Contacts app, you either need to select more from the '+' button or you can tap in the 'to:' field and type in the first few letters of a contact and select from the list. Kinda bummer but gotta make do.

Something like it works in Gmail. I do not want to use set lists, I want to enter different addresses each time I send an email. And I am a very slow typist, so I don't want to type the first few letters of each recipient's name. It is much faster for me to just click on the e-mail addresses in the list as a group. It doesn't make any sense to me to have to reopen the contact list for each address, when it should be so easy to click on all of the addresses I want at one time and then click once to add them all to the email as a group. Try this:
1. Select Mail>File>New Message.
2. Select Mail>Window>Address Panel.
3. Use (command+click) on the desired addressees in the Address Panel to create the list.
4. Click "To:" on the top left of the Address Panel.
The group that you selected will be added to the "To" field in your New Message.

Sorry, but Address Book does not allow you to select more than one email address to send to in a group. There's really no reason why people need multiple copies of a message, anyway; they have the option of forwarding email to another email address of theirs.

All devices signed into the same iCloud account will finish up with the same contacts. Of course if prior to joining iCloud two family members each had an entry for Uncle Fred, then you will finish up with two contact cards for Uncle Fred, and so on. If you tidy this up on your computer then the changes will propagate to everyone else.
