Multiple Exchange calendars not syncing correctly

Hi,
I'm having a strange issue with syncing calendars from my iPad and iPhone to our Exchange server.  I have three calendars in Exchange, which I'll call Calendar1, Calendar2 and Calendar3. Calendar1 was my original calendar, and I added the other two later.
I have my Exchange account set up on my iPad and iPhone. Calendar1 syncs correctly in all directions. If I create an appointment in Outlook in Calendar2 or Calendar3, the appointment appears on my iPhone and iPad, as it should. The problem is that if I create an appointment on the iPad or iPhone in Calendar2 or Calendar3, the appointment never appears in Outlook or on the other device.
I did a test with someone else whose company has Exchange Server 2010, and Outlook 2010, and everything worked correctly with all calendars.
Here's what I'm using:
iPhone 4, updated to iOS 5
iPad, still at iOS 4
Exchange Server 2003
Outlook 2007
Any thoughts? Thanks!

Have you tried:
iTunes 11 for Mac: Sync contacts, calendars, and other info with iPod, iPhone, or iPad

  • IPhone Calendar not syncing correctly with iCal since Lion-install

Since installing Lion, the calendar on my iPhone is not syncing correctly:
Events created on my iPhone don't show on my Mac
Events edited on my iPhone don't change on my Mac
Events that I created in iCal on my Mac, for test-purposes, and then deleted immediately, show up on the iPhone when syncing.
    Syncing through iTunes (not MobileMe).
Using WeekCal on my iPone, but it seems that the same is the case with the "original" calendar-app.
No similar experience prior to Lion-install.
iPhone is iOS 4.3.4 -up to date
Any ideas? Does anybody know how to reset the sync, for instance?

Hi, my name is Lucas, i'm an Apple Certified Technitian.
Last couple of weeks i've installed OSX Lion in a few Macs.
But one of them drove me crazy!
I have a Late 2007 White Macbook and i installed OSX Lion last week. I also have an iPhone 4 (Factory Unlocked) that i also updated to IOS 4.3.5 ... no problems syncing between them
Then i did the same with a 13'' Unibody MacBook Pro and an iPhone 4 (not unlocked)... no problems neither
Yesterday i installed Lion on a Mid2010 15" MacBook Pro and updated another iPhone 4 (Factory Unlocked) to IOS 4.3.5 and when i tried to sync the iphone with iTunes 10.4 nothing happened.
I mean, nothing.. the iTunes started syncing and when it gets to sync the calendars it stayied there forever.
I left it for hours and nothing.
As i said i'm an ACT so i tried everything.
1- Remove Calendars from iPhone and syncing again
    1- Repair Permittions
    2- Reinstall iTunes
3- Reset iTunes and iCal Preferences and Caches
4- Backup iCal - erase ical content and generate a new iCal database
5- Reset Syncing Prefs and logs
6- Use DiskWarrior from an external OSX
    7- Reset PRAM
    Nothing worked.
I thought it could be some conflict with Microsoft Outlook and/or Exchange server since this Mac is the only one of the three macs i installed that uses Outlook Sync and Exchange server and it's the only one that gave me trouble.
But disableing it didn't worked neither.
    THE SOLUTION
I Already solved this thing out. But i still don't understand the logic of all this... anyway, what y did is this:
1- turn off microsoft outlook sync with iCal (from outlook preferences)
2- Backed up iCals (Just in case)
3- Create a new Calendar Category (by default you have Work and Home... i created one called Test)
4- i Created a new task at that calendar
5- In iTunes uncheck the "Sync iCal" box and sync the iPhone
6- Check th "Sync iCal" box, then check the "sync the selected calendars" box
7- Check the "Test" calendar and sync the iPhone.
This worked so i started creating task in this Test Calendar both in iphone and mac, just to test it, Worked fine.
Then i selected all the other calendars (Home - Work - etc) and i turned on the outlook sync
Then i synced the iPhone and Voilà everything is working again.
Now i can create task in outlook calendar and when y sync the iphone it appears on it.
I don't know what the problem is... but this looks like the solution
    HOpe it works for you!

  • Exchange calendar not sync on 3.1 (iPhone 2G)

    Hi,
For some strange reason our Exchange 2007 (latest SP) does not sync the calendar on one of our 2G iPhones setup with Exchange.
Strangely, both the Address Book and the Mail app syncs perfectly.
    Anyone else experienced this?

I have the same problem since IOS 8.0.2 on an IPHONE 5 , my Exchange account updates fine on Email, as do other Email services. But the Calendar does not, I've also tried Push or Fetch but it does not seem to matter.  Gmail Calendar does not have the same problem and updates fine.
My alternative is,  within Calendar select "CALENDARS" (botom center), with al options checked , pull the screen down for a refresh and missing Exchange Appointments will apear.
I hope a permanent solution will be available soon though.

  • Exchange will not sync correctly

OK....all other email client work fine including Google hotmail etc.  Exchange i can set up and it will sync and all my existing mail is loaded.then it will not download anything else even though the sync says its working.  The other account sync fine.  If I delete the account then add the exchange one again then all the latest temails show!!
Ideas for a solution please.  By the way server is fully openl and works on iPhone Google etc.

Did mark solution work and could you let us know what defaults that were used were they I. The accounts on the PlayBook.

  • Address book and calendar not syncing correctly. Events are being duplicated in the calendar, or disappearing totally, and the addresses are not updating.

I've been having problems with my calendar recently.  Events I've listed are disappearing, without my having deleted them.  And when I update my addresses in my computer, my  iphone doesn't update when it is synced.  Any ideas what could be causing this?  I have an iphone 4, and have updated to ios5.  The problem with my calendar started before changing to ios5, I'm not sure about the problem with my addresses, I've just realized it.

Okay--I'll try this, but before I do, can you answer another question?
When I deselect the box next to contacts on system preferences > iCloud, I get a scary air message that says, "Do you want to keep a copy of your iCloud contacts on this Mac? If you don't keep a copy, iCloud contacts will be removed from this mac but will still be available on other devices using iCloud."
My mac has all of my contacts, but there are some that are not on my iPhone (Chistmas card list). Will I lose the contacts that are not backed up on my iPhone?
Should I select "Delete from Mac" or "Keep Contacts"?
Similar air message with calendars, so I assume whatever I do with contacts will be the same as calendars.
Thank you so much for your help--this has been so confusing for me!! I"m sure this has been discussed over and over and I looked through the messages to find a solution, but just got more confused.

  • Calendar not syncing correctly to devices using iCloud

I wondered if someone could help me with this. Just recently when I enter a new 1 day item into Calendar on my Macbook Retina running Mavericks and wait a second it syncs and is fine on the iPhone and iPad and on iCloud online website as a timed day event.  When I then enter some details to it and select all day event it spans that day and the following day only on the iPhone and iPad not iCloud nor on my Macbook Retina.
I have read about adjusting Time Zone support and have tried numerous settings on all devices including setting all the same and also 'Off' and different combinations of these and makes no change at all.
I hope somebody can help me with this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mike.

    Hi,
I have the same problem. I was to the Apple Shop and ask the Apple Retail Peoples, but nobody can give me an answer.

  • Calendar not syncing correctly

Calendar on iPad 2 is updating with duplicate entries but iCal on iMac is not updating at all when syncing with iTunes. The problem started 3 days ago. It was working fine prior to that and no settings were changed. What setting should I check to resolve this issue?

No settings had been changed. I did find a couple of threads that disucssed a similar issue. I reset the sync history, changed the setting from "all calendars" to "selected calendars", I selected all of the calendars indiidually and resynced. This did not appear to work. I then deleted all of the entries I made the past two days (Since issue started) and did a resync. I then readded some of the events on the iPad and did a sync and it worked. I readded the rest on the iMac, did a resync and it worked.
I am not sure what made this wor. I am not even sure if the problem is resolved or if it will resurface. I will monitor for a few days to see if it recurs.

  • My gmail account connecting to the exchange server, does not sync correctly

    Hello,
i've been with the sync. problem with my gmail account which is connecting my iPod touch 2nd-gen./iOS v4.2.1 to the google's exchange server, more specifically when i read some emails offline.
Actually there is no sync problem when i read emails online, when the read emails are shown 'having been read' at the desktop browser as well.
That is, the problem i have now is the 'having been read' emails offline do not sync correctly to the google's exchange server.
Hopefully there is some help from this forum i can get.
    Thanks
    YH Kwon

Right now the add-ons got synced but the customization I did to the looks of it did not.
These customizations are: moving the home button right next to the back button and removing the search bar.
Conclusion: it takes a while(about an hour!!!!!) to sync these stuff, at least that is what happened with me though my connection was normal and not slow at all.

  • My iCloud Photo Stream is not syncing correctly to my Windows 8.1 laptop or my Windows 7 PC.

I have been going through the forums for the last few weeks and nothing has helped.  Both computers are x64 bit.
    Problems I am experiencing
    A. Windows 7 PC has not synced photo stream since September 25
    B. Windows 8.1 laptop has not synced since a little before that.
    C. I can't upload any photos (.jpegs) to the photo stream.  An error pops up saying that they cann't be uploaded as they are not in a format supported by iCloud, even though they are jpegs.
    D. Photos are syncing ti my ipad 3 perfectly fine, so clearly there is a problem with my computers but I am totally stumped.
I have un-installed, deleted all icloud photo stream folders, restarted and then re-installed the iCloud control panel on both computers, and it has created new folders and re-synced maybe 30 photos before it stopped again.
I have uninstalled every single Apple program on my Windows 8.1 laptop and reinstalled iTunes, iCloud and Quicktime and that didn't help.
I have toggled the Photo Stream on/off button in setting on my iphone, and that seemed to kick start the sync on my Windows 7 PC this morning, so far I've got 70 photos on my Windows 7 PC and that's where it has stopped but its a really random selection, and doesn't include the photos I took yesterday or today.
Two of my colleagues at work where my Windows 7 PC is located - their photo streams are working fine, both using ios7 and icloud control panel, however their computers are x32 bit.
I have also simply logged out and signed in again multiple times, however that doesn't do anything.
I have unticked the "read-Only" permissions on my photo icloud stream folder, but that didn't help either.
I have followed the troubleshooting from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3989 - however that also did not help.
I have tried changing the folder path for iCloud photo stream, however that did not help either.
I tried the steps from someone who said they spoke to an Apple rep (steps copied from forum and I put them in italic) on this forum: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5381738
Anyway, the Apple rep had me sign out of iCloud CC on my PC.
Then on each iOS devices Settings/iCloud/Delete Account.
    Confirmed all the warnings.
Then re-entered my iCloud id and password on the iOS device.
Things restarted and the iOS Photo Streams got loaded with the number of photos that
    iCloud has.
Signed in on iCloud on the PC. It synced the same way.
Tried taking pictures on the iPhone and iPad. They synced everywhere.
    So I'm back in business.
I just deleted everything on my iOS devices when I exited iCloud.
My interest is the PC syncing when I take a photo on my iPhone.
ME: Okay so these steps again refreshed the photostream on my iPhone 5.  I can see that the photos I took yesterday and today have been uploaded to the photo stream as I can see them there on my device.  I have also now signed back into iCloud on my Windows 7 PC and it is slowly syncing again, but just recognising the same photos it downloaded previously as per Step 3 which I did just earlier this morning.
I have also just tried uploading photos via the upload folder from my windows 7 PC, and they uploaded perfectly.
This is really, really frustrating.  I've tried everything I can find on these forums but nothing has helped fix the issue 100%.
Can anyone offer something else I can try to reslove this issue?

Hi all.  I can’t tell you how to solve your iCloud 3.x issues.  Heck, I don’t think they’re even solvable.
But if you had a previous version of iCloud that was working correctly then I can definitely tell you how to solve the “iCloud Photo Stream is not syncing correctly to my Windows 7 PC” problem.  …without even a re-boot.
Log out of iCloud 3.0 and uninstall it.
Open My Computer and then open your C:\ drive.  Go to Tools/Folder Options and click on the View tab.  Select the “Show hidden…” radio button and click on OK.
    Open the Users folder.
    Open your user folder
    Open ProgramData (previously hidden folder)
Open the Apple folder – not the Apple Computer folder.
    Open the Installer Cache folder
In Details view sort on Name
Open the folder for the newest entry for iCloud Control Panel 2.x – probably 2.1.2.8 dated 4/25/2013
Right click on iCloud64.msi and select Install.
When finished, the synching between iCloud and your PC will be back to working perfectly as before the 3.0 fiasco.  The pictures will be synched to the same Photostream folder as before the “upgrade”.  Now all you need to do is wait until Apple/Microsoft get this thing fixed and working before you try the 3.x upgrade again.
I think the iCloud 3.0 software was written by the same folks who wrote healthcare.gov with the main difference being that healthcare.gov might eventually be made to work.
For those of you who hate to go backwards, think of it as attacking to the rear.  Which would you rather have, the frustration of no synching or everything working on an older version?
    Good luck…

  • Calendar not syncing on iOS 7, now calendars have disappeared.

    Hi all,
Just recently I noticed my Calendar on my iPhone 4 with iOS 7 was not syncing correctly.
My Mac and iCloud.com are correctly in sync.
After following the troubleshooting steps (iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar) I got to the stage where I deleted the calendars on my iPhone as part of the process of turning off my iCloud calendars, and turning them back on. I had backed them up, and they still work on my Mac and iCloud.com.
Now I have no calendars on my iPhone, and can't seem to add any new ones, or get the sync to work. Ive tried all the steps in the troubleshooting.
Has anyone experienced and solved anything similar?
    Thanks!
    Jon

If you haven't already tried, save your photo stream photos to your camera roll on your phone, then delete you iCloud account and sign back in.  To do this, saving your photo stream photos by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, scroll down and tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from your phone, not from iCloud), choose Delete from My iPhone and provide your password when prompted (your data will still be in iCloud).  Wait a minute or so, then sign back in (your data will download back to your phone).  Then test your calendar syncing again.

  • Replacement phone not syncing correctly

  • Icloud calendar not syncing

I've added appointments to my calendar on iMac and it doesn't sync on iPhone and iPad.  Same with the address book. I will change info on one of my devices and it doesn't change on the others.  I checked in System Preferences under iCloud, both calendar and address book are selected.  Same with devices.
Any other things I should be doing? Or where can I find more troublehshooting tips. Thanks.

    Contacts not syncing.
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing.
    Calendars not syncing.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

(ios5 ipad bugs)I can't get changes of album art, artist, album and other tags to show up in the iPad music player, but they show up correctly in the iTunes device view. Certain random songs do not sync correctly.   Wifi sync hasn't worked yet.
I mostly use technology for education and professional audiovisuals and lights.
I don't sync  music because I use music from at least 4 different computers. (manually mange music)
I use my iPad to play performance tracks for church and a local gospel group out of our church, Won4Christ.
I chose to buy the iPad because the laptop of one of the group members (dellxps running iTunes) was randomly losing and mixing up music and I wanted a more stable option that was bigger than my iPod touch.
I tried to add some data to music libraries that I previously added to my iPad, but the data only shows up when looking at the device in iTunes.
Wifi sync has not worked on either my laptop or desktop ( both running windows 7 enterprise 64 and newest iTunes) not really a big issue, but very annoying
When browsing through library playlist albums on the iPad, random artwork shows up on playlists with no artwork that you touch while dragging, and it does not go away until you change to another navigation tab and back.
Random songs out of hundreds that I added showed up in iTunes grayed out with a sync circle beside them.  Those songs would play back okay on the iPad but were unplayable through the iTunes device view.  I had to delete the songs manually through the library along with the playlist and add them again.
These seem to be major stability bugs in the "new" music app and iTunes.  My only option right now seems to be to delete the songs that I want to change and re-add them with the changes already applied rather than changing the id3 tags and artwork on the existing music. I hope apple will release updates to resolve these issues.
Thank you for actually making it to the end of this manuscript of annoyances.

Just wondered if anyone had any other suggestions.

  • Issue with Calendar not syncing with iPhone 3g

Issue with Calendar not syncing with iPhone 3g.
    Solution
Create backup of your entire mailbox before starting (THIS IS IMPORTANT)
Create offline folder (.pst file) Check windows help on how to do this for your version.
    Open folders view on Outlook
Right click on Calendar in tree view and 'copy to' offline .pst folder
Go back to main calendar view and delete all entries in your calendar.
Create simple cal entry and sync test with iphone
If this works then start dragging cal entries back from the offline folder into the main calendar then sync after each step....
I moved events in this order
    -Yearly recurrences (ie Birthdays)
    - Monthly recurrences
    - weekly recurrences
    - Daily recurrences
All appointments from the beginning of this year >> to the end of time!
If all these sync then the issue is with an older cal item and you have to decide if you actually need these in you current calendar.
I chose to leave these in the offline cal and if i need access them from there.
If at any point the sync fails then you know you have a corrupt cal entry in the block you just transferred. Move the offending items back into the offline folder and try again in smaller chunks until you identify the offending items and delete them and manually recreate them in your real calendar.
Also smart to run the inbox (.pst /.ost ) repair tools for your OS/Outlook version.
    Fixed so far
    XP Pro / Outlook 2008
    XP Pro /Outlook 2003

I just updated the firmware to iPhone 2.0.1 and the syncing works great both ways.

  • One of my playlists in iTunes is not syncing correctly to my iPhone

When my iPhone updated to iOS 7 a while back, I started having a problem with one of my Playlists. I was willing to ignore it for a while, but it's become enough of a nuisance that I'm seeking a solution.
I have a smart playlist called "Unrated", which I've set to contain any "Media Kind is Music" and "Rating is (none)". Before iOS 7, this correctly filtered to only new, unrated songs I'd recently added to my iTunes library, letting me play them on my iPhone and rate them as I went along. After iOS 7's update, however, the list still filters correctly within iTunes, but not when I sync my phone to it.
First, there seemed to be a random sampling of hundreds of songs showing up in playlist on my phone, even though I'd rated them. Eventually, I figured out that problem: I was syncing only some of my library to my phone because of space limitations, and any song I'd purchased from iTunes (not ripped from CD) was showing up there even if it wasn't really on my phone. I tried adding a condition to my smart playlist to weed out the iCloud (a feature I don't want to use because of cell data rates), and that still didn't work, so finally I just ended up adjusting my sync requirements to make sure that every song I'd purchased from iTunes was always synced to my phone. That took care of the rated songs appearing... but left my Unrated playlist completely empty. Even truly unrated songs I added to the library would show up in iTunes but not on my phone.
So I did some searching of the forums here, and read about the "dummy playlist" solution. Set up your intended playlist (the one I described above), then set up ANOTHER playlist whose only conditions are "Playlist is (the other playlist)", and that should work. But I tried that, and the newly created playlist didn't even appear on my iPhone at all.
Thoughts? Help? Bug that Apple's going to have to fix? Please?
