Multiple form parameters with the same name not passed to remote portlet

I have an html select box that contains several values, and multiple
selection is enabled. When my code runs as a remote portlet, the
following is showing up in the soap monitor when I select multiple
values and submit the form:
<urn:interactionParams>
<urn:portletStateChange>cloneBeforeWrite</urn:portletStateChange>
<urn:interactionState>_action=addEmployeesToGroup</urn:interactionState>
<urn:formParameters
name="P62005wlw-select_key:{actionForm.selectedEmployees}OldValue">
<urn:value>true</urn:value>
</urn:formParameters>
<urn:formParameters
name="P62005wlw-select_key:{actionForm.selectedEmployees}">
<urn:value>beatest1</urn:value>
</urn:formParameters>
In this case, I selected beatest1 and beatest2, but only beatest1 comes
through to the remote portlet. Is this a known bug, and, if so, is
there a patch or workaround available?
Thanks in advance,
Andy

If you're not on 8.1.4 move there. 8.1.3 had limitations in the wsrp
release.

  • Question on multiple form elements with the same name !

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement in which more than one text field with the same name exists on a HTML page. We are using JSF framework (Oracle JDeveloper IDE and OC4J ) . I tried using a String array in my backing bean to handle these text boxes. When I hit the Submit, the action (method) is not invoked. But when I try with unique names everything works fine. Am I going wrong somewhere ?
    Thanks in Advance.

    You cannot have exactly the same name on objects.
    You will have to make an array of them to be able to
    o work with them properly--it will keep the names
    unique.I understand! But JSF creates its own names which are unique. The following JSF code
            <htm:tr>
                <htm:td>
                    <h:inputText value="#{Test.description}" id="description1"/>
                </htm:td>
            </htm:tr>
            <htm:tr>
                <htm:td>
                    <h:inputText value="#{Test.description}"  id="description2"/>
                </htm:td>
        </htm:tr>generates the following HTML code with unique names.
            <tr>
                <td>
                    <input id="Test:description1" type="text" name="Test:description1" />
                </td>
            </tr>
            <tr>
                <td>
                    <input id="Test:description2" type="text" name="Test:description2" />
                </td>
        </tr>
        <tr>Though I have a String Array in the backing bean, this doesn't work (The form does not submit to the method in the Backing Bean).
    Similar situation in Struts works absolutely fine.
    Any help would be appreciated !!!

  • Multiple querystring parameters with the same name

    Quick JSP question for you folks. Consider the following URL:
    http://127.0.0.1/test.jsp?foo=1&foo=2&foo=3&bar=4
    In other server-side technologies (that behave properly) this should come back as a comma deliminated single name/value pair.
    foo=1,2,3
    bar=4
    Instead, I only get the first value submitted:
    foo=1
    bar=4
    Even looking at the enumeration, request.getParameterNames() I see only one copy of foo. (this may be correct) Can/How does jsp handle name/value pairs if there are duplicate names?
    Thanks,
    Shane

    String[] foos = request.getParameterValues("foo");
    returns a string array. You can use that, as far as I know, for single value params, which should give a 1 item array.

  • Query parameters with the same name and different values

    According to HTTP, multiple query or post parameters with the
    same name and different values are permitted. They are transfered
    over the wire in the following format -
    name1=val1&name1=val2&name1=val3
    The problem is that I can't see anyway of assigning multiple
    parameters with the same name and different values to the request
    object of mx.rpc.http.HTTPService. I have tried using the
    flash.utils.Dictionary object as it does strict key comparison but
    that doesn't work too. I have tried setting an array of values to a
    property of the request object but that sends the request to the
    server in the following format -
    name1=val1,val2,val3
    The java servlet engines throw exceptions when they see this.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • RE: multiple named objects with the same name andinterface

    David,
    First I will start by saying that this can be done by using named anchored
    objects and registering them yourself in the name service. There is
    documentation on how to do this. And by default you will get most of the
    behavior you desire. When you do a lookup in the name service (BindObject
    method) it will first look in the local partition and see if there is a
    local copy and give you that copy. By anchoring the object and manually
    registering it in the name service you are programmatically creating your
    own SO without defining it as such in the development environment. BTW in
    response to your item number 1. This should be the case there as well. If
    your "mobile" object is in the same partition where the service object he is
    calling resides, you should get a handle to the local instance of the
    service object.
    Here is the catch, if you make a bind object call and there is no local copy
    you will get a handle to a remote copy but you can not be sure which one!
    It end ups as more or less a random selection. Off the top of my head and
    without going to the doc, I am pretty sure that when you register an
    anchored object you can not limit it's visibility to "User".

    Subject: multiple named objects with the same name and interface
    All,
    More than once, I have wished that Forte allowed you to place named
    objects with the same name in more than one partition. There are two
    situations in which this seems desirable:
    1) Objects that are not distributed, but are mobile (passed by value to
    remote objects), cannot safely reference a Service Object unless it has
    environment visibility, but this forces the overhead of a remote method
    call when it might not otherwise be necessary. If it were possible to
    place a copy of the same Service Object (with user visibility) in each
    partition, the overhead of a remote method call could be avoided. This
    would only be useful for a service object whose state could be safely
    replicated.
    2) My second scenario also involves mobile objects referencing a Service
    Object, but this time I would like the behavior of the called Service
    Object to differ with the partition from which it is called.
    This could be accomplished by placing Service Objects with the same name
    and the same interface in each partition, but varying the implementation
    with the partition.
    Does anyone have any thoughts about why this would be a good thing or a
    bad thing?

  • Multiple ResourceBundle definitions with the same name

    I created a new web application project with JSF support using Netbeans 5.5Beta. The new project has a simple welcomeJSF page that I did not modify. The only modifications I did is adding a CustomMessages.properties file under com.mywebsite.resourcs and adding the following entry to faces-config.xml:
    <application>
            <resource-bundle>
                <base-name>com.mywebsite.resources.CustomMessages</base-name>
                <var>BundleOne</var>
            </resource-bundle>
            <locale-config>
                <default-locale>en</default-locale>
            </locale-config>
        </application>Now when I right click welcomeJSF and select Run File, the follow error is added to the log file of SJSAS PE9:

  • Multiple ios products with the same name.

    Hello guys,
    We have multiple iOS universal products with the same name for different countries. Will it cause any issues when the user installs them in the same device? Using Xcode to push them to my device, i noticed that they are all installed in the same place, i.e only one app is available. So my question is how should we do to use the same name for multiple apps and is it possible?

    I have recently found when trying to delete folders with the same name it is unreliable, is there a better way, ie termin that would work for the following...
    I have 1000's folders with sub-folders to delete...
    Please see screenshot each folder is identical apart from 'copy #' at the end of the folder
    1. using search in top level folder toobar for "instructions"
    2. 647 results are retuned

  • Multiple image files with the same name

    I have about 150 images that have been imported into a single lightroom folder that have the same name. These images are from a single event, so Id like to keep them together. The source files are in two different folders on my drive, but they all exist in one folder on lightroom. (for instance, I have two different images, both named CR-0917, both with different retouching). Initially, Lightroom allowed me to do all of my editing on all of the files in one place, even though the names were the same. I have since moved the source folders and files to a different location on my hard drive, but I can't update the files within the folder in lightroom, because lightroom chooses one source, so it gets about half the images right, and half wrong. I spent a ton of time retouching these images and I dont want to have to go back and redo it.
    Is there a way to manually update the source information for each image, without Lightroom automatically using all of the images from a single folder? Or does anyone have any other ideas of what I can do? Please help...

    I am puzzled about how this problem initially arised, too.
    For the issue with several cameras I recommend the following:
    1. If the camera lets you, specify a unique prefix so that each photo will have a unique name directly from camera.
    E.g. Nikon lets you change their default prefix "DSC" to something else. As I even do not want to have recurring filenames after 10'000 shots I choose "yFL" as prefix, where y=number from 0..9, F=starting letter of ther first name of the camera owner, L=last name. Or other 2 digits that point to the camera model.
    For current decade it is even nice to take y=1 for 2011 and so on. As I do roughly 10'000 shutters per year that fits about nicely. [Ok, as of 2020 I will use letters, too. 2046 I have to devise something else hoping that I will still be shooting photos with my same husband.]
    2. If the camera does not facilitate such, as Canon: rename upon LR-import by putting a short prefix in front of the originial filename, e.g. yS90_, yG12_
    I only want from a filename that it be unique in my household and that I have a rough idea where in sequence of time it may belong.
    So if I get pictures from friends I put a prefix for them, too, while importing. Leaving the rest of their original filename is good for further communication about the pic.
    I think usually LR takes more properties into account than just filename when deciding about duplicate, such as camera serial no., capture time etc.
    Anybody who knows for sure?

    Any suggestions are welcome.can i try some work around for that?
    Thanks.

    Hi.
    For some reason you have duplicates. Normally is something strange but it can occurs in heavy load / database corruptions or other situations.
    You should contact a LDAP Administrator in order to find and fix the duplicate problem.

  • Multiple Informatica Repositories with the same name in the Repository Mgr

    Hi,
    We need to have a single windows client machine with the Informatica client installed and have two different Linux servers with Infa server(version 811 shipped along with OBI Apps 795)
    We will have the same repository in both dev and prod -- Oracle_BI_DW_Base
    Can we open both the dev and prod repository on the same client machine?
    Thanks

    Hi Vikram,
    Eventhough I think it is techincally not possible, even if it was I would not recommend doing this. I think this is asking for problems and you can wait for the day that somebody messes up your production system, thinking it is DEV.
    I would use names like DEV_Oracle_BI_DW_Base and PRD_Oracle_BI_DW_Base, to clearly distinguish between the environments. But then again, I think Informatica forces you to use different names.
    Regards,
    Toin.

  • Multiple EJB's with the same name

    I have one EJB application which I deployed twice: JndiJarTest01 and JndiJarTest02.
    It has a session bean FooBean with a remote interface FooRemote.
    Then I have one WAR application: JndiWarTest.
    From the NewServlet servlet in the WAR application I want to JNDI lookup a specific FooBean.
    I am working with Glassfish.
    sun-ejb-jar.xml of JndiJarTest01
    <sun-ejb-jar>
      <enterprise-beans>
        <ejb>

          </ejb-ref>
        </ejb>
      </enterprise-beans>
    </sun-ejb-jar>
    web.xml of JndiWarTest

            <ejb-ref-name>ejb/FooBean01</ejb-ref-name>
            <ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
            <remote>com.bar.jndijartest.FooRemote</remote>
            <ejb-link>FooBean01</ejb-link>
        </ejb-ref>
        <ejb-ref>
            <ejb-ref-name>ejb/FooBean02</ejb-ref-name>
            <ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
            <remote>com.bar.jndijartest.FooRemote</remote>
            <ejb-link>FooBean02</ejb-link>
        </ejb-ref>
    </web-app>
    NewServlet.java
    private FooRemote lookupFooBean(String which) {
        try {
            Context c = new InitialContext();
            return (FooRemote) c.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/FooBean"+ which);
        } catch (NamingException ne) {
            java.util.logging.Logger.getLogger(getClass().getName()).log(java.util.logging.Level.SEVERE, "exception caught", ne);
            throw new RuntimeException(ne);
    }I just can not get past the NameNotFoundException
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: #com.bar.jndijartest.FooRemote not foundAny ideas? Or futher questions? Thanks.

    I did it! (Thanks to Jop.)
    sun-ejb-jar.xml
    <sun-ejb-jar>
      <enterprise-beans>
        <ejb>
          <ejb-name>FooBean</ejb-name>
          <jndi-name>ejb/FooBean01</jndi-name>
        </ejb>
      </enterprise-beans>
    </sun-ejb-jar>I did not have to do anything with EJB's in the web.xml.
    Change the JNDI lookup in NewServlet.java.
            return (FooRemote) c.lookup("ejb/FooBean"+ which);It turned out to be easier than I thought.

  • Issue with multiple Albums with the same name. (i.e. Greatest Hits)

    I have multiple albums all with the same name (i.e. Greatest Hits). iTunes mixes all of the albums as one. All of the track 1s together, all track 2s together .... Is there a way for iTunes to recognize that there is more than 1 album with the same name? and to keep each album seperate.
    Thanks

    You need to let iTunes know that they are different albums. The trick I use that work fine is to simply add the artist name of which it is the Greatest Hits in the "Album Artist".
    That way, iTunes will keep your album together.

  • Use two VIs with the same name, different functionality on a single Project

    Hi, I'm working with vision builder al labview, I need to integrate the vision builder migration Vis into my main program, (Is not an option), but I have multiple Vis autogenerated with the same name, how can i integrate them in the same project without dependency problems
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Unless you really need tight integration between the Vision code and the rest of your LabVIEW application, or would rather not have to pay for a Vision Builder AI runtime license on the targets on which you want to deploy your final application, I would recommend you look into using the Vision Builder AI LabVIEW API instead of migrating the inspection to LabVIEW.
    The API allows to control Vision Builder AI by launching a Vision Builder AI engine, running the inspection and retrieving resulting images and results.
    The advantage of the API is that it allows for easier modification and debugging of the Vision Inspection that you designed in Vision Builder, if you need to make changes later. (i.e. all you need to do is open the inspection in Vision Builder AI, modify parameters, add steps etc).
    You won't have to change your LabVIEW application, unless you want to output additional results.
    When you build and deploy your application, you will need to install Vision Builder AI on the target machine and get a runtime license for it.
    Migrating the inspection to LabVIEW is a one way deal. If you need to make changes to the inspection, you will have to migrate the inspection again, or modify the code outside of the Vision Builder AI environment.
    As you might have noticed, the code generated is quite complex, and it is recommended to go this route only if you need really tight integration/synchronization between the vision code and the rest or your LabVIEW code, or if you would rather pay for a cheaper Vision runtime license rather than a VBAI runtime license for the deployment machine (in case of deploying multiple systems where cost is a big consideration).
    Vision Builder AI API examples are located in this folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Vision Builder AI\API Examples\LabVIEW Examples
    Hope this helps clarify the use cases and help you make the right decision for your design.
    Best regards,
    Christophe

  • Multiple lovs with the same name on the same module/form

    I've noticed that in this case in a generated fmb LOVs get renamed so that first remains with the same name, next one gets 1 at the end, next one 2 and so on.
    What I haven't found yet is the rule by which they are sorted, i.e. which one gets 1, which one 2, which one remains with the same name...
    I've tried with the usage sequence of the LOVs but that seems to have no influence.
    Anyone has any clues?

    I have the same problem
    an external firewire drive "232 GB" is gaining an extra, sequentially numbered, mountpoint in /Volumes/ each time it is unplugged and re-plugged.
    This is a bit of a pain as Xtorrent is downloading to a folder on this drive and so, whenever it is unplugged, I have to either;
    restart all the downloads or,
    before launching xtorrent, go into /volumes/ and delete the last mountpoint (so the system automatically adds the one Xtorrent is expecting)
    just noticed you're in Sheffield too, maybe it's a local problem....
    no idea what's causing it
