Multiple FXS ports on a 3745 to the PSTN

Hi,
I'm putting together a spec to have 35 FXS ports routed directly to the PSTN via an ISDN PRI.
Can anyone foresee any issues with doing this with a 3745, fitted with 3 x NMHDA-4FXS + 3 x EM-HAD-8FXS + appropriate PWDM2 mods + NM-HDV-E1 (or AIM-MFT VWIC?) + appropriate IOS image?
This would be a standalone system (e.g, not controlled by a CallManager), and all the phones will need dedicated lines. And each port will need to be able to generate a line reversal signal.
Any input on this would be appreciated.
Cheers,
J.

You can go through the following document and check whether the current IOS version supports it .

  • Aggregating multiple fiber ports on MDS directors

    Hi All,
Going forward our new servers will have the capability of aggregating multiple fiber ports into fewer connections on the SAN switch. I am told that there is a particular setting that needs to be enable on the switch for this functionality to work, kindly let me know more details on this?
What we intend is to reduce the port usage on Cisco MDS9509 like in map in many hba's to few physical ports instead of one to one?
    regards,
    Samir

Switch-Server port channeling feature was added in MDS NX-OS 4.1(3). Make sure your MDS at least runs that release.

  • Multiple Input Ports on BAPI to submit at the same time

    Hi
I have looked at previous threads and still not getting this right. When I click the submit button I need it to all go to the BAPI at the same time.
I'm using BAPI SalesorderCreatefromdat2, I need to use at least three input ports.
    I have done the following.
-dragged the bapi on the page
-selected the ports required, flipped a port of required
-the for ports I have created 1 form (Order Headr I n Port), 2 tables (Order Itmes In port, Order Partners Port).
-the have connected the form and tables to the bapi, so have three different lines.
-For each one the eventname is *SubmitAll
-Then there is one button,on the action tab I selected custom action, the name is SUBMITALL, Apply To is Self
    Is the above correct??
Please let me know, thanks in advance

    Hi Basheer
    Thank you for your reply.
I have changed the buttons to Action Type "System Action", the field System Action to "Submit Form", the Apply To is "Self"
I however get the error "Please enter sold to party or ship to party"
Can you please help me. I have changed my BAPI to use  SalesorderCreatefromdat1 like yours.
I'm using the following input ports and fields
-Order Header in form, using fields DISTR_CHAN, DIVISON, DOC_TYPE, SALES_ORG
-Order Partners Table in table, using fields PARTN_NUM and PARTN_ROLE
-Order Itmes Table in Table, using fields MATERIAL and TARGET_QTY.
Is this correct? Thank you for the response.

  • Can multiple PCs access one remote panel at the same time?

I've written a program in labview 7.1 to monitor/control a labview application running in the test cell through Remote Panel. I and my coworker can remotely monitor and/or control this labview application individually. But if my coworker has the remote panel displayed on his PC and I try to get the remote panel on my PC, I get a labview error (63) as below:
"LabVIEW:  Serial port receive buffer overflow.
LabVIEW:  The network connection was refused by the server."
My question is: Can multiple PCs access one remote panel at the same time?
    Thanks in advance!

Sorry I wasn't clear. The remote panel license is separate from the number of LabVIEW development licenses. Pricing information on remote panel licenses can be found here.

    Hi,
I am having an issue getting calls to ring through on the FXS ports when using the "trunkgroup" command under the POTS dial-peers. Calls will ring through fine if I use the "port" command under the pots dial-peer. What I am trying to accomplish is getting a single number to hunt through 13 FXS ports in a round-robin fashion. • How to submit data from multiple Input Ports in single SUBMIT button  click

    Hi,
    I am in SPS8.
What exactly steps I need to perform to submit data from multiple Input Ports.
I couldn't able to submit One input Form and one Input Table to BAPI data service in single SUBMIT button click.
I debugged the VC application in SPS8.
While debugging, I found that when I click the SUBMIT button in the Input Form, Only data in that Input
form are being passed to the BAPI, But not the Table Form data.
If I click on the SUBMIT button in another Input Table, Only data from that table is being passed to the BAPI, but not the Input form data.
Essentially I need to submit both of them in one SUBMIT button.
    Thanks,
    Ramakrishna

    Ramakrishna,
From the word document that you sent to me the steps you are missing to map the appropriate information into the BAPI is first you are not mapping all data rows into the table input port. To do this double click on the input table view and change your selection mode from single to multiple. Then when you click on your link between the BAPI and your input table you will see a new option appears under data mapping "Mapping Scope" select All Data Rows.
That's the first part of the problem to get the BAPI to recognize both the inputs coming from the form and the table eliminate the submit button from the form. Drag and drop a link from the output port of the table view to the Input port of the BAPI. Double click on the link between the BAPI and the table view and open the expressions editor for the two fields:
    1/ Automatic Source
    2/ SKIP_ITEMS_WITH_ERROR
On the hierarchical folder structure on the right expand expand the Data Fields node to find the fields from the form and map them accordingly.
Now when you hit the submit button on your table it should pass the BAPI all the parameters from both the form and the table.
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers,
    Scott

  • CLID not shown on FXS port

I am using Call-manager 6.0.1b, a MGCP controlled Gateway. On the Gateway i have installed a NM-HD-2V with a Vic2-2FXS module. On this module i connect 2 analog phone with capability to display the Caller-ID. When i call the analog port from a ip phone or from the other analog phone the Dn is not shown. When i connect the phone directly to the PSTN and dial this nr via my cell phone the nr is shown so i expect that the nr format received is not correct. How can this performed that the correct format is shown to the FXS port connected phone ?

    Hi,
Yes - you are correct. Looked at this one too quickly.
You will want to make sure the CPTONE defined on the port is for the country the phone is manufactured for, and that the voice-pport has the 'caller-id enable' command.
If those are both correct, and I'm guessing that they are since some caller-id works, then you need to inspect the gateways that take the calls to begin with.
Do you have caller-id trouble for internal calls also?
How do these calls come into your network?

  • Multiple Input ports - Single Form

    Hi,
I have a RFC which has multiple input ports. How do i use a single form to provide data to all the input ports.
    Regards
    Bharathwaj

    Hi,
you can create the single form direct, if you pull a line out of the RFC, then the form must be created with the fields. If not, then you have to create it manually and map the fields with the input port.

  • FXS Ports & Pickup Groups

Is there a way to make an analog phone connected to an FXS port a part of a call pickup group that contains both analog phones & IP phones? I setup a lab and used MGCP to add the gateway and I was able to add the DN associated with the FXS port to a call pickup group. However, I am unable to figure out how to answer the call from the analog phone when another IP phone in the call pickup group is ringing.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
You are going down the right track with this.

See this other post I made (for a different purpose, but the principal is the same - it just opens up features available to IP phones for FXS ports by registering them using SCCP).

  • Restricting FXS ports to internal calls only

    Hi,
I have recently intalled Call Manager 8.5.1 with a H323 Gateway. On the gateway, I have a number of FXS ports for lobby phones. Is there a way I can restrict these phones to allow only internal calls only? Do I need to use COR lists like in Call Manager express or is there a  more practical way?
    Thanks,
    Derek

    Hi Derek,
It sounds like these FXS ports are NOT registered to CUCM 8.5.1?  If they aren't, then yes COR lists is the most pratical way to do this.  You could do a "connection plar xxxx" to a receptionist extension and her her/him forward the calls to the correct extension.

  • MGCP FXS ports requires a license in CUCM9

    Hello!
I am connecting Some analoge phones to VG350 FXS ports which is  configured as a MGCP Gateway in CUCM. I beleive MGCP did not requires any license for it. Can some confirm this ? is there any Cisco doc on it ?
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Sambit,
Technically u are correct but legally I think u would be requiring license.
even the ordering guide says Analog devices are supported with Essential USer license  and must be purchased through UCL.

  • Groupwise Mobile Issue - multiple SOAP Ports

    Hi All,
I'm having an issue with Groupwise Mobile.
I've got multiple POAs hosted on the same server (using different ports), and GMS can only access one of them. The one that it can access is using the standard 7191 SOAP port.
Is there a trick to get mail to pass across another port? Users can authenticate, but synchronization doesn't work.
    Thanks,
    Matt

It seems to be working now. But I'm not sure how I fixed it.
To complicate things, I think I was suffering from two separate issues that presented themselves as one problem.
One of the changes I made was to install GWM as a trusted app, rather than using user based authentication. This seemed to help GWM access POAs with SOAP ports other than 7191.
The other "issue" I had seemed to "heal" itself. The user account I was using to troubleshoot this showed up with the following message in it's inbox:
    Syncing resumed - password resupplied
Your password was resupplied, and Intellisync Mobile Suite is now syncing normally again
...so I'm assuming that GWM was caching bad authentication data. I just couldn't seem to get this data to flush out, even after deleting and re-adding the user in GWM, cycling services, and rebooting servers.
