Is it possible to enter multiple addresses in a google map widget? If so, what is the syntax?

Go to ...

Click "My Maps" and create your own adding place markers and addresses.
Click "Link" when you're done, copy the HTML code and paste it into a snippet box in iWeb.

Google Map - Address Bubble

Hello everyone
Does anyone know how you can add a specific address bubble in Google Maps, wait for it, when you have used the HTML snippet to insert a google map.
I cannot find a way to do it, all I want to do is put pin at a specific point with some text.

It does this automatically for you. Tap an address in and the map should move to that point. Double click the map to get the blue line around it to position where you want the map to be centered on.
Here is my BIG tip:-
If you haven't got an exact adress, you can enter the lattitude & longitude of your place you want to 'flag'

Google map in iPhone 5 NOT working

I've tried repeatedly and took my new iPhone 5 to ask Apple Store's Genius but I am getting no where. When I launch the new Google Map icon on my iPhone 5, it by default shows the mobile version and I clicked the "Directions" icon and input two addresses. I then click the arrow button which is supposed to start searching the distance between the two addresses and also directions of how to get from A to B. But no matter how many times I press the arrow button, nothing moves - same screen.
I then scrolled to the bottom and click "Classic", again nothing happens - same screen. I have to do it 10 to 20 times and by chance, I probably can access the Classic view once.
I then go to the iPhone internet browser and enter the google map address http://maps.google.com/#bmb=1 and again I was directed back to the mobile version and then I scrolled down and selected Classic and it was merry go round and I was going no where! The problem certainly does not lie in the Google webpage because when I access the same URL on a PC, I can search directions from A to B within less than a second. Everything is super smooth. I believe Apple has done something in their iPhone browser to make it difficult if not impossible to access Google maps in order to "force" users to use the Apple Map App.
Can anyone help?

Google Maps URLs get corrupted when inserted into Numbers

I've noticed that Numbers doesn't like complex Google Maps URLs. Directions between any 2 points should work fine, but if you make a custom path like so:

Some of the percent signs (%) get changed to %25 or whatever the proper HTML escape code is.
The funny thing is, these URLs are still valid Google Maps addresses, but now show different routes, generally in the same neighborhood!
Does anyone know how to force Numbers to accept a URL as is without modifying it?

As I explained yesterdays in an other thread, the problem is that you don't use Numbers correctly.
Inserting an URL as is in a cell is a wrongdoer.
The correct soluce is the use of the dedicated function : HYPERLINK()

Google map plugin and multiple addresses

I was wondering if it was possible to show 2 or more locations in the google maps plugin? Either have two non-labelled markers or the A,B,C marker system that google maps uses.

No, not with iweb.

Yes, you can have as many placemark in google map with 'My Maps' (required to have google account).
Once you have you map+placmarks, just copy+paste the code to your iweb page using HTML Snippet.
You can do a lot more if you know how stuff work and mash them up. not just placemark but with photo thumbnail and geotag, etc... this is my example:

Add multiple location google map

How can I add a Google map with more than one location. I have 2 biz locations, but I do not see a way to have multiple biz locations on same map. Can I have more than one address? How do I do it?

There is no out of the box solution for this in Muse. I'll leave this discussion open for other members to reply with the workaround they have, if any.

Just want to know if it is possible to have multiple locations in the Google Maps widget. I guess it shouldn't be that difficult, but I can't figure it out..

It seems that you can only use one address for this widget.
For this to work you will need to create the map in Google Maps with all your points and then copy the embed .html from Google into Muse.

Numbers/Address Book and Google Maps

I would love to integrate my spreadsheet of addresses or my Address Book with Google Maps.
Is this possible? Somehow?
I take a lot of trips across the country and don't always know when I will be driving by my friends. But if I had a map I could glance at to see where they all are, I would know that I could schedule a lunch with a friend halfway or something like that.
I have heard about MapPoint, but don't know if there is anything like this that is free/affordable/non-MS.

Integrating in Numbers would not be automatic. You'd have to format links to assign to each address.
I've seen plug-ins to use Google maps with Address Book. Try a search on MacUpdate or VersionTracker for Address Book.
I think one of the features for Address Book in Leopard is integration with Google maps.

I have placed an address location into the CONTACTS list and when I ask SIRI to "take me there" it found a TOTALLY different location in the metro area with the same street name. I have included the address, the quadrant, (NE) and the ZIP code into the CONTACTS list. As it turns out, no amount of canceling the trip or relocating the address in the CONTACTS list line would prevent SIRI from taking me to this bogus location. FINALLY I typed in Northeast for NE in the CONTACTS list (NE being the accepted method of defining the USPS location quadrant) , canceled the current map route and it finally found the correct address. This problem would normally not demand such a response from me to have it fixed but the address is one of a hospital in the center of town and this hospital HAS a branch location in a similar part of town (NOT the original address SIRI was trying to take me to). This screw up could be dangerous if not catastrophic to someone who was looking for a hospital location fast and did not know of these two similar locations. After all the whole POINT of directions is not just whimsical pasttime or convenience. In a pinch people need to rely on this function. OR, are my expectations set too high?
How does the iPhone select between one app or the other (Apple Maps or Gppgle Maps) as it relates to SIRI finding and showing a map route?
Why does SIRI return an address that is NOT the correct address nor is the returned location in the requested ZIP code?
Is there a known bug in the CONTACTS list that demands the USPS quadrant ID be spelled out, as opposed to abreviated, to permit SIRI to do its routing?

siri will only use apple maps, this cannot be changed. you could try google voice in the google app.

Address Bubble for Google Maps

On my website I am using the Google Map to display the position of a church. To position it accurately I am using the lat & long (e.g. 53.75135, -2.50707). However, the lat and long show up in the address bubble when I view the web page; I would rather see the church name (dedication). Is there some sneeky syntax I can't find that will enable me to see (for example) "Blackburn: Saint Silas" rather than "53.75135, -2.50707"?

I've been using the Web Widget from inside iWeb '08 and I was hoping for a solution that would work with that. I've already had to hand-crank a large quantity of html for some other pages (why won't iWeb support tables?) so I was hoping to keep this part of the site as simple as possible.

Sync Mac Address Book - multiple Google accounts

I understand that you can sync the Mac Address Book with Google accounts, but is there a way to sync that Mac Address Book with MULTIPLE Google accounts.
Our scenario is that we have one iMac as our main database, and want to sync it to mine, and my wifes Google account.

Address mapping function? (automatically show google map, like with Mail?)

I have a Numbers spreadsheet full of building addresses in my area. I'd like to be able to automatically visually map an address on google maps, such as is available in the Mail application (like when you hover over an address and it recognizes text that makes up an address and allows the feature to map it with a single click). Is this possible at all?

Adding multiple markers to Google maps 1.0 widget??

Is there any way to have multiple markers on the google maps widget? I've tried add some more markers in the code, but I can't get the name's on the markers to change. They all stay the same as the original marker.

Not sure about any "Google Maps Widget".... but Google Maps offers lots of editing options... including pin icons and the content that pops up when when you click the pin....Name, description, links, etc.
Here are the steps I used..
Create a Google Maps account,
Log in,
Create a map in "My Places"
If needed, edit that map.
For example:

If the "widget" doesn't work... look at the other options available from Google Maps... just Google specifics for more information

Do you have a WiFi only iPad?
If yes, go to another site, like say a Starbucks, connect to their internet and click on the arrow to show your location. If it is correct then your router is reporting incorrect information. Wait and the database will eventually be updated.
