Multiple HD's with unique passwords?

Hello,
I have 2 external HD's on hubbed on my airport extreme and I wanted to put a unique password on each so that one can be for work and the other for family use. Is there any way to do this? I can't seem to figure it out.
I tried going into Airport Admin and manually changing the disc settings under DISKS for "file sharing" but it seems that when I select the "with a disc password" option it changes the pass for both and not just the one that was selected on the previous DISKS screen.

Tried to delete unwanted HD folders from HD#4 where TM stored all my HD's.
Ms says HD folder cannot be move to trash-- "cannot be completed because back up items cannot be modified"
How do I start over with TM only backing up specified HD?

The Ultra Search portlet is a JSP application deployed in it's own
individual .ear file on Oc4J. It connects to an Ultra Search database, and
specifically to a schema that hosts the Ultra Search instance. Connectivity
is configured via the data-sources.xml file, which is located in
$ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_Portal/config/data-sources.xml
If you want to run two Ultra Search portlet instances, You'll have to
perform the following. (Note, I'm describing manual steps. If you use
Enterprise Manager, some of these steps may be automatically done for you):
(1) Create a .ear file containing the Ultra Search Portlet, along with
modifications you have performed to it if any.
(2) Edit $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_Portal/config/server.xml, creating a new
<application> entry referencing the .ear file in (1).
(3) Edit $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_Portal/config/default-web-site.xml, defining
a new <web-app> for the application you've created in (2).
By now, you should see that OC4J has expanded the ear file you created in
(1) into a directory structure. If this has not occurrred, bounce Oc4J. If
that doesn't help, you might have made a mistake in one of the steps in (1),
(2) or (3) and will have to examine the Oc4J log files to determine exactly
what went wrong.
(4) Edit $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_Portal/config/data-sources.xml, adding a new
<data-source> section defining connectivity to the second Ultra Search
instance you want your second portlet to connect to.
For example, if the original data-sources.xml file contained the following
entry:

The location attribute is used by the Ultra Search portlet to lookup the

locate the file common_customize_instance.jsp. If your .ear file was
expanded into directory $SECOND_EAR_FILE_DIR, then look for
$SECOND_EAR_FILE_DIR/query/common_customize_instance.jsp.
Edit this file and change the file that reads:

to :
String m_datasource_name = "jdbc/UltraSearchPooledDS_2"; (or use whatever
key you entered in in your new <data-source> tag.
(6) Touch the search.jsp file to force recompilation.
When you save the common_customize_instance.jsp file edited in (5), OC4J
should automatically re-compile the Ultra Search portlet code.
common_customize_instance.jsp is included by the main JSP (search.jsp).
However, if this does not happen, you may need to "touch"
$SECOND_EAR_FILE_DIR/query/portlet/search.jsp. Updating the timestamp of
this file tricks Oc4J into recompiling it.

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address). While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud. You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

Create multiple instances of same class but with unique names

I'm creating an IM application in Java.
So far I can click on a user and create a chat session, using my chatWindow class. But this means I can only create one chatWindow class, called 'chat'. How can I get the application to dynamically make new instances of this class with unique names, for examples chatWindowUser1, chatWindowUser2.
Below is some code utlising the Openfire Smack API but hopefully the principle is the clear.

yes, an array would work fine, just realize that by using an array, you're setting an upper bound on the number of windows you can have open.
As for unique names, if you mean unique variable name, you don't need one. The array index serves to uniquely identify each instance. If you mean unique title for the window, set that however you want (username, index in array, randomly generated string, etc.). It's just a property of the window object.

IDES installation problem with DDIC password

Hello everybody,
After hours of searching and trying..
I have here a problem during a local installation of IDES ECC 6.0 on Windows Server 2008 with MAXDB. The installation stops in phase 27 of 29 u201Ccheck DDIC passwordu201D - test logon to SAP system failed, with the error message FRF-00007 "Unable to open RFC connection" in sapinst.
The MMC shows in the process list that the following processes stands oon "green": igswd, mag_Server and disp+work are running. The message of servers connection is OK, acts dialogue queue time is 0.00 sec.
I have already searched the forum, but I am not able to logon as user SAP* with u201C060. u2026u201D or as user DDIC with the password u201C199. u2026u201D to change the DDIC password to my password set during the installation (transaction -S000 / SU01). The login fails over the MMC as well as over the SAP GUI 7.10. I have tried this on the client 000, 001 and 800. The error message is u201CSAP Logon Failed - connection closed without message (CM_NO_DATA_RECEIVEDu201D). The SAP GUI gets down with "Work process restartet, session terminated".
What can help to solve the problem? Can it be a problem with the ms loop adaptor? Which static address IP must assign to the loop adaptor? Did i have to update the kernel of the data bank or is this not necessary? Can the information from dev_w help?

The kernel is not patched. I just (try) to install the kernel files from the sap market place
IDES download destination. The install kernel file was: 51033508_7 - NW7 SR3 Kernel 7.00 for Windows / LNX X86_X64. I got an update / upgrade file, which is called: 51033508_8 - NW7 SR3 Kernel .... Upg ABAP.
Can anybody give me an adwise by reading those logfiles? Is the file ok for updating the kernel?
How do I upgrade the kernel by having no .exe - file? May the installation go on after patching the kernel?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
That's simply not possible I'm afraid. You'd need to give them their own account and allowance or make it so you are required to be there to input the password when they wish to make a purchase.

- For the other problem you can try a reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- The next standard thing to do is to download/install a new app but you cant 'do that.
- Instead, try restoring from backup.

Creating unique passwords for a PDF document

I'm going to be selling a PDF eBook on the Internet.
I would like to know if there is a way to create a unique PDF password for each customer
rather than having every customer have the same password that was created in Adobe Pro.
I purchased a $20 eBook that requires you to enter a unique alpha-numeric
password (given only to me) before the Adobe file shows the eBook contents.
I was given a password upon purchasing and when I downloaded and double clicked
on the PDF file, it had the standard message
"this PDF is protected. Please enter a Document Open Password."
They company selling that product must have found a way to create unique passwords
for each customer with their PDF document.
Any help or comments would be appreciated.

George - what I will be selling is a 650-page PDF eBook. Given the amount of content (especially the quality of the content), it's worth protecting it. LockLizard and such products are too high for a startup like mine. They are geared more for the enterprise business level.
Dave Merchant - I right clicked on the PDF eBook I mentioned in my original post that seems to have a unique password for each customer. On the 'general' tab, it says at the bottom:
"Security: This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer."
I'm not sure if that tells you anything.
What's interesting is that after I cancelled the order for that $20 eBook product, the password still works - so the company using that password system either does not have the capability to revoke access or they simply forgot to revoke access to the eBook for me personally.
BTW, I found out that e-junkie.com has a PDF stamping option that will stamp each buyer's PDF with their name, email address, and transaction number. That would help. But I would still like to have the customer have to login with a unique password or key code to access the eBook contents. Having tenchology that revokes access to the eBook would also be ideal, but that might be too expensive to implement.

No you can't. Although Acrobat SDK claims support for that it does not actually work. At least I was unable to get Acrobat to register my encryption filter and use it. I was told it has something to do with the export restrictions. You can, I think, use Acrobat SDK to create a standalone application that does what you want but I myself never tried that.

Multiple wireless routers with Macintosh OSX - Does not work

I work for Spokane Public Library system as an IT Specialist. At all of our branches, we use multiple WRT54G wireless devices to serve our patrons. We are having notable trouble with Macintosh clients who can get connected to the wireless network but cannot obtain a DHCP address and thus cannot surf the web. We have the WRT54G devices configured with unique SSID's and no wireless protection; basically an open network.
Will having both of the WRT54G's set to the same channel pose a problem? Do Macs on OSX have an issue with the Linksys implementation of DHCP that you know of?
We have verified this problem at all branches; including the use of my laptop which is a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.4.10.
There are other posts on this forum with similar issues and no responses.

YES! My own resolution... It turns out that it WAS A LINKSYS COMPATIBILITY ISSUE. Updating the WRT54G firmware to version 1.02.2 made it all work great. There was a fix for DHCP in the 1.02.2 version.
This is for both version 5 and 6 of the WRT54G.

In my case, I am certain that all fields are correct, because the code works half the time. The thing is my code is running inside Tomcat (as a servlet); I am noticing that whenever I update my Jar with any code change and restart Tomcat, I am hitting this issue intermittently. Another update-and-restart sometimes solves the problem & my connection establishment is successful.
There are 2 key things I would like to know:
1) Difference b/w the exception messages "<span class="jive-subject"> Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect
" and " failed to decrypt safe contents entry ".
2) Whether any caching is going on because of Tomcat being in the picture (although I am not at all sure why this should happen).
Would love to get through with this ASAP. Please let me know your thoughts if any.

Yes, you can. I'm not aware of specific documentation for this, but a couple of notes:
- Make sure you use unique resource accounts (e.g. JT user in particular as that is automatically managed by UCCX and one cluster WILL break the other)
- I would also use unique AXL accounts and probably RM accounts. RM you could share between clusters to just have one RM account to associate any agent phone to, but it's safer to have single-purpose service accounts.
- You can't assign a user to a particular cluster - so you enable IPCC Extension on one user, they appear in 'resources' on both UCCX servers.

That happens because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, even though your last 1000 photo stream photos remain on your devices until deleted. When you enabled photo stream on your iPod 4, you only received photo stream photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud. If you want to stream these older photos to your new iPod, you will have to create a shared photo stream on your old one that contains these photos (requires iOS 6 or higher) and invite yourself as a subscriber, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99.

Have you logged on to the webmail account using a browser and enabled either Pop or Imap forwarding for that email address?
Have you created a mail account in Thunderbird that uses the chosen webmail forwarding option?
Password - make sure caps lock is not switched - it must be the same password you use to access the webmail account.
