Multiple images per sheet

Hi there
I have a credit card size image which is a pdf file and I now want to print it using Adobe Reader.  The problem I'm having is that I want to print several on an A4 sheet and whatever i try doesn't seem to work.  Does Reader have the capability to do this or would I need to upgrade?
Thanks for looking

There's an "Auto Rotate" checkbox under the "Preview" section of the printing dialog, because tha'ts obviously a logical title for it...

    Help!
I'm unable to print multiple pages per sheet in Adobe Reader X (version 10.1.3). It doesn't seem to matter what printer I select but only one image shows in the preview screen.
I tried repairing the software but to no avail

    Hello Bernd,
Thank you for your help - it seems that I have misunderstood this function.
Do you know whether it's possible to print multiple identical copies of a single page document onto a large sheet of paper?
e.g. I have an A1 plan printer that in theory could fit say 6 x identical A4 pages onto a single sheet of A1 paper.

  • Can't print multiple pages per sheet

Hi there - I'm a real newbie to this whole adobe reader thing and I need help!! I've been trying to print multiple pages per sheet and I just can't. I know where I can change the presets but when I'm in the print dialog presets I can't click on anything. It won't allow me. What's wrong?
I'm using adobe reader 8.1.3 and the document i'm trying to print is a powerpoint document converted into a pdf. Is this why I can't change the settings? Or do I need the adobe reader 9 standard? i'm just so confused!
    thanks in advance!!

Yes, it used to work, and the resize zoom bar used to work too (now its grayed out). I don't know if this is a "who's to blame for it" thing, but its not getting fixed and its pretty bad that no one seems to care enough even to respond. I found my own solution by opening it in Gimp. Just right click and select open with other ...Gimp and it will import into it. In the Gimp Print dialog, you have a scaling percentage in the "Page Setup" tab, and size settings in the "Image settings" plus loads of other stuff including multiple copies.

  • Printing multiple pages per sheet on Adobe Reader for Windows 8

I cannot print multiple pages per sheet on Adobe Reader touch for windows 8.1

What is your Reader version?  In Reader XI 11.0.07 you would click on Multiple, then specify 4 (or 2) pages per sheet:

  • Optimum number of images per sheet for contact sheet?

what is the optimum number of images per sheet (like 5x5, 10x10 etc) for a contact sheet on the latest photoshop. optimum meaning the largest number of images per page so that you can still see what the image is of and the image number.
    thanks

How are you going to use the Contact Sheet?  If you are not printing, but using your screen or website, you can use your file browser to simulate the Contact Sheet.  In Windows > File Explorer, choose large icons, and zoom in or out with Ctrl Mouse Wheel.

  • Multiple Pages per Sheet Dimensions

Whenever I print multiple pages per sheet on my HP Officejet Pro 8000, it squishes the dimensions to fit the page so that all my letters are printed narrowed/elongated.  Is there a way to prevent the printer from fitting the pages to the half sheet and preserving the original proportions of the document?

Ar eyou able to print to PDF? If you have that facility select Adobe PDF in the pop down menu, go to properties and the first tab has layout, you should be able to select number up required, save to PDF and open the new PDF...this should be stepped up how you want it.
Alternatively if you have Illustrator or Indesign (Quark works too) you can create a page with picture boxes and import/place the PDF however many up you want.

  • Multiple page per sheet not working...

    Dear all,
Since some time now (even before Mavericks), the "Multiple page per sheet" is not working.
When I select it and print (either to PDF or to any of my printers), I always get 1 page per sheet... and I can't save trees!!!!
Do you know how to fix this ?
    Thank you very much.
    Best regards,

  • Printing multiple pages per sheet using a PostScript driver and GhostScript.

I have three PDF files containing a total of 165 pages. I would like to print 162 of these pages onto two sides of a 8.5 × 11 in. "Letter" size paper. That is 81 pages per sheet. I don't care about loss of clarity or readability, just that fact that there are 81 (or I suppose 80 would be possible and would fit much nicer) pages of the document shown. I've seen this done before, so it is possible. It involved printing using a PostScript driver. I don't own a PostScript printer, so GhostScript will take the resulting PostScript document and print it on a non-PostScript printer.
The first issue I'm having is with using the PostScript driver to print 80 pages per sheet. The only printing options I can find allow you to print 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, or 16 pages per sheet, no customizable value present.
Does anyone have any words of advice or a source for information on the process of how this can be done? Thanks in advance.

"The only printing options I can find allow you to print 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, or 16 pages per sheet, no customizable value present."
There's no "Custom..." to choose from.
Edit: Alright! I solved my own problem. In order to print a customizable number of pages per sheet 'Page Scaling', under the 'Page Handling' section of the  'Print' window, must be set to "Multiple pages per sheet". At this point more options populate the window, one of which is a new but seperate dropdown for 'Pages per sheet' with "Custom..." as a selection. This is different, however, from the 'Print' window's 'Properties' sub-window which has a form entry drop-down for 'Pages Per Sheet'. Hurray for unintuitive software GUIs! Hopefully this post will help others.

  • Can't turn off multiple pages per sheet

Can't turn off multiple pages per sheet - I used this option for one pdf document and now the settings are sticking.  I don't want to  always print 2 by 2.   I was able to set a Custom Multiple page to "1 by 1" but this seems silly. How do I get the default single page printing back?

  • ID3 Printing issue-multiple pages per sheet mirror image printing

So, like the title says, I'm trying to print 4 up per sheet out of ID CS3. The first page prints fine, but all pages that follow print as mirror images. I have gone through all the print settings for InDesign and specific to the printer (Xerox 7665) to make sure that flip and mirror print is not on. Still, it keeps printing every page aside from the first mirrored. Any ideas?

A friend of mine rang me last week with a similar problem. I didn't know what to say, it was every page after the first one printed upside down.
To me that can't happen, they should all send at the same orientation.
Perhaps you need to update your printer drivers. But to me it sounds like an issue with your printer and not InDesign.
    As another test
Go to File>Print and the advanced menu and choose Print as Bitmap
I'm not sure what that will prove though?

  • Printing multiple images per page

I'm sorry for this potentially stupid question, but how do I print multiple 4x6 images per 8.5x11 sheets - or in general, mulitple - defined size prints per page of whatever dimension. I have Aperture 1.1, iMac dual core, Epson 2200... I'll be back with many more stupid questions... bear with me!! T

Actually that's not a dumb question at all. Right now there's no way to say directly what size images you want on a page - you can only specify number of images on a page, and border sizes.
So what you do is figure out how many 4x6s can fit on your paper (2 on an 8.5x11.5 sheet of paper) and then figure out what border you need to get your images to be about the right size. In the case of 8.5x11.5, it's a border of about 0.75 in (perhaps a little more or less depending on the native border your printer has for a sheet of paper).
I think different orientations might screw that system up, so be aware of that and perhaps only print like orientations together.
If you are doing individual borderless prints of any size, do not overlook the handy "calibrate" button which prints out a test target to fine-tune exactly where the edges are in borderless prints!

  • Printing multiple copies per page, not multiple pages per sheet

How can I print multiple copies of page per sheet of paper?
I've got an image or PDF that I'd like to print 4 or more of per sheet of paper. But it can easily fit on one sheet. When I choose to print 4 copies and in the Layout section choose 4 copies per page what I get is for pages printed out with the image scaled down to a quarter of a page.
What I'd like is the one image scaled down and printed 4 times on a single piece of paper.

I don't completely believe that this is completely
due to the drivers from the printer manufacturer.
Nor did I say that it is. The software from which the doc is being printed is
even more important re page layout options.
Your statement of "It is a function of the printer driver..." is what led to that misunderstanding.
I completely agree that the idea of 'print to PDF' is misleading and that I was mislead that all the print dialog options (like the quartz filters that do work in outputting to PDF and the # of copies that do not) should apply to creating PDF files using the print dialogue. It now says 'save to PDF' in 10.4 instead of 'output' or 'print'. I think some of my confusion is carrying over from UI decisions in 10.3.
Obviously it wasn't designed to work this exact way
or it would work this exact way.
I have no idea what this statement means.
It's stating the obvious in reply to your statement of the obvious ("the feature you are trying to use isn't designed to work that way."). If it were designed to work in the manner that I was wanting it perform I would have never posted a question about it.
You can say it's not commonly done and that would
apply to anything other than printing off one full
sized copy of any single page. Using Quartz filters
isn't "commonly done" but it's available.
Not true... mailing labels, multipage spreads, thumbnails, reductions/
enlargements, ad infinitum are far more frequently done than printing
the same content on the same sheet multiple times. As I said, however,
there are provisions for doing so when the need arises.
You missed the point. Functionality is presented that is far less utilized than what I was desiring to do on this platform/set of applications as compared to other platforms/sets of applications. This is why I specifically mentioned the quartz filtering. I have personally met only one other person who uses quartz filtering yet I know over a dozen that want to print in the manner I originally posted about.
I'm sure you have seen such results & I have done
the exact same type of output hundreds of times on
both Windows & Mac platforms as well as others...
but not in the manner you are attempting to get it
done. As you've found out, that just doesn't work.
And I've seen it performed in the manner I was attempting, furthering the frustration.
In any program you typically do specify page layout
before number of copies... in fact, that is the cruxt of the
issue. But getting the same content to repeat on a single
page is not a matter of page layout and is not a function
of the print operation unless you're dealing with commercial
    devices.
I guess I've just been spoiled by those big office Xerox machines. I never thought of that functionality being at all special in any way.
    Thank you for the assistance.

  • Printing a multi page pdf -with multiple pages per sheet

In order to save paper I create multiple page pdfs and in the print dialog box under Layout I select Pages per Sheet 2 , etc. The problem is when i try to print out the document, it only prints out the first page. The other pages fail to print. this only occurs when printing a pdf in this way. I have already re-installed Acrobat.
error on printer is: error typecheck offending command and the file name changes on the printer to acr.000000.tem
I'm using acrobat 8. Printing to a xerox docu-color printer.

Nope, that's a Flash-only effect. Sometimes people try to embed a SWF (Flash file) into a PDF, but that only plays like it's a movie, and doesn't work well.
I think you should give up on the idea if you want to use PDF as the distribution method.

  • No Scaling when Printing Multiple Pages per Sheet

I'm trying to print a pdf document but with 2 pages per sheet. I tried to scale up the document by 10% (in the page setup tab) but it actually scaled down about 30%. Any idea what could be going wrong? Can Adobe even scale up and print multiple pages on the same sheet?

Are you using the Multiple button under the Page Size & Handling section of the Reader Print dialog? This section allows you to determine how many pages are printed per sheet. The scaling is pre-determined by the number of sheets you have selected.
