Multiple iPad Address problems (duplications-deletions)

Tonight i deleted several names out of a group on the iPad Address app. I found that unlike Mac Address app, the name didn't just get deleted from the group but completely from the iPad address book!!!! Rather than re-enter all the information, I made the mistake of syncing with the Mac. I checked the box to replace the info on the iPad with the Mac. There was a warning that "some of the names might be duplicated from MobileMe".
Well, ALL the names were duplicated - over 330 names - which I had to manually delete every duplicate which took about 30 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I knew how, I would remove Calendars from iDisk/MobileMe so this would not happen again. This does not happen with other synced items. Why does Address behave like this? Shouldn't Mac sync to MobileMe and the iPad but not bring the info to the iPad from both?

And by using the same Apple ID you can also share purchases. If you have a different Apple ID for each iPhone then you can't share purchases.

Problem Rating / Deleting Multiple Images

I have a Problem Rating / Deleting Multiple Images at the same time. For the last 2 weeks I have been unable to select a group of images and rate them all - I have to select images indiviually for the rating to work. This also is the case when trying to delete images.
Anyone know if this is a bug?

Hit 'S' which toggles 'Primary Only' mode - this swaps between applying ratings,deletions to multiple images or just the one with the thicker selection border.

delete mailbox - how else do you propose to do that. Unless by "deleting mailbox" you mean something else.

Multiple email addresses in Yosemite problem

has anyone else experienced this :
I have a list of workshop attendees who have supplied me with their email addresses. About 60 ppl in all.
I am trying to send an email to thank the attendees via OS X Yosemite Mail Application. I insert all the email addresses in the BCC field. However, when I try to edit the address field in the BCC field (removing invalid email addresses) the email freezes. and I have to force close the mail app, and start again.
If someone could try it out and let me know if they too experience this issue.

Oracle support comma to specify multiple email address.
I have tested the same in R11i instance and specified multiple email address with comma as separator.

How do you mean? the yahoo app? or accessing via safari? or using the mail app?
Using the mail app there is no way to sign out of mail accounts. The presumption is that the iPad is a single user device, so no need to sign out.

IPad syncing problem - HELP!

iPad sync problem - HELP! I keep getting this message "...cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional ...space needed)" and yet I seem to have plenty of space on the iPad. This just started today. I even tried deleting some things to make even more room, but it didn't help. Any ideas???
I was thinking of restoring, but I've never done it... should I?

Sync books across multiple iPads & accounts

Hey everyone,
I've got what is probably not that an unusual question. My company has a resource of PDF documents we want to be able to sync across multiple iPads. It's ok with the ones we own as we control the accounts but we have staff with their own iPads who want access to the documents through iBooks. I know there are workarounds like e-mailing them or using dropbox but we're talking upwards of 100 documents. Is there a way to sync a library like that without deleting the books the preson has purchased?

Interesting, never knew there was an iCloud website. Ironically, it wouldn't open in Safari (just got a spinning progress wheel), but it opened up fine in Chrome. :/
So, I logged into iCloud under my wife's Apple ID, clicked on the calendar icon, then clicked on those icons to the right of the two calendars shown (Home and Work), selected Private Calendar, and added my email address which is linked to my Apple ID. I hoped that would do the trick to allow me to see her calendar entries in iCal in my account, but it didn't.
Am I correct that the process outlined above should display my wife's entries onto my iCal calendar? Or do I need to go view her calendar online somewhere instead of seeing the entries on my own iCal calendar?

HomeHub 2.0 Network Printer IP Address Problem

I've got a network printer, a Samsung CLP-300N, which is connected to my BT HomeHub 2.0 using BT Infinity. Unfortunately, the router seems to be giving it multiple IP addresses, so that on my list of connected devices it shows up about 50 times (it doesn't actually give it 50 different IP addresses, but usually connects twice). I am then unable to assign it a stable single IP address. Is anyone else having this, or a similar, problem? Does anyone know of any fixes?

havent seen thbis problem but iot has been mentioned before on this forum I think. Just an idea but have you tried allocating the pirinter an ip address outside the DHCP range (below 192.168.1.64) and simply configure that on the printer. You then won't need to config the HUb - but you may want to delete all the refs to the printer in dhcp table. Dont worry if you do not see the printer in the devices table BTW.

How can I use multiple ipad's on one account without sharing individuals personal email accounts?

Is it possible to have multiple ipads on one account and share info, but also allow the individual users to have personal email that is not seen on the other ipad's? We have all ipads on same icloud account because we all need to see the same ical. It seems like that's the problem. If it IS related to icloud then if we have separate icloud accounts, how would we share the main ical otherwise? Sharing the ical is very important for this business so everyone can access the daily schedule. Of course each user still wants to have private email.

you could set up the main icloud itunes acount for ical and not have in setup on the devices
and share the calandar with the other itunes accounts on the devices
or only have it on one device
devices have the users indervidual itunes icloud setup
they should be able to access the shared "main" itunes icloud ical account once it's shared

How to configure multiple IP addresses on one NIC?

I just installed a OVM Server in version 3.2.1 and the according VMManager. Now i wanted to try to configure the Server/Server Pool. Now i come across a problem, which was already a big problem in OVM 2 while configuring the Networks.
All our OVM Servers have three NICs in them. One is for VMs and Management, the others are for connection to our SAN (Dell PowerVault MD 3220i). My problem is, that due to the network setup, the two NICs for storage need two IP addresses in two different networks each. This shouldn't be a problem, because usually in linux all you have to do is configure something like eth1:1. I remember having huge trouble configuring it in our OVM 2 cluster up to the point where I had to write a shell script to configure the second IP.
Anyways, I have configured two of the storage networks on eth1 and eth2 of the VM Server. Now i cannot configure any more IP addresses, because eth1 and eth2 are not available anymore for configuration in a third network. I really hoped that it would be possible in OVM 3 to configure multiple IP addresses. And probably it is only my lack of knowledge of how to configure it.
So any advice is well appreciated.

You should be able to do this by using "VLAN Groups".

Check out the VLAN groups section. You must great the VLAN groups before you can assign them to interfaces.

There is no bookmarks tab, expect you are referring to the bookmarks menu on the menu bar ("File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help") on your XP system.
Once your restore your menus on you Window 7 system, you can get rid of the bookmarks button. After going through the 10 steps below your toolbars on your Windows 7 system will be more usable again and like your XP system, none of which has anything to do with Sync.

How can I manage multiple iPads for different students?

Problem: I need to manage multiple iPads for my students with special needs. I need to download different apps to different iPads and I'm not sure how to keep their apps separate but still keep ultimate control of the units (i.e. lock them from loading anything on the apps that we at the school district haven't approved).
I need to be the only one doing updates, loading software, etc., and don't want to keep using my own personal iTunes account...any suggestions?

If the presenter is using a computer and everyone else has an iPad this is very easy and free. Just use http://join.me and on the iPad just download their free app

I am trying to manage a number ipads in the business but I have problems managing the download of apps to multiple ipads using a single copy of Itunes and appleid.
I obviously want purchase correctly the number of copies of the app I require and manage them going forward but the issue I have is that when I try to purchase an additional copy of the app it shows as already purchased and downloaded in my Itunes.
What am i doing wrong or is this a feature?
