My wife has an original ipad and I have an ipad2 on the way. If I sync my ipad to the same itunes as she syncs to will we both have the same info on each unit? Can we do separate backups? do I need to sync mine to a different pc? thanks

You can use the same computer. Do you want the same info on both ? If you want different apps/content on them then are a few ways you could do it : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1495 . I use my computer with an iPad, iPhone, and an iPod Touch and I manage the content on each manually so that I have full control over what goes on which device.
Backups can be kept separate. If you give the new iPad a different name to the current one when you first connect it then it will make it easier to identify which backup relates to which iPad.

We have a volume purchasing account, but when purchasing an app we get multiple serial numbers that all seem to need to be entered individually. You can do a backup of you iPad then restore the backup to many devices.

You can each have your own ID for your own iTunes accounts, but in order for a device to stream via AirPlay to the same Apple TV, everything must use the same homesharing ID. This is not the same as your iTunes account ID (although it can be for one of the devices)

SerZak is correct. There is a ten device limit. Yoy would still have to be signed into the correct ID in order to sync the Movie, even if you do not use Automatic Downloads, so the 10 device limit would still apply.
Your Apple ID can have up to 10 devices and computers (combined) associated with it. Each computer must also beauthorized using the same Apple ID. Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days. You can view which devices or computers are currently associated, remove unused devices or computers, and see how long before they can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer:

There is no bookmarks tab, expect you are referring to the bookmarks menu on the menu bar ("File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help") on your XP system.
Once your restore your menus on you Window 7 system, you can get rid of the bookmarks button. After going through the 10 steps below your toolbars on your Windows 7 system will be more usable again and like your XP system, none of which has anything to do with Sync.

I am trying to manage a number ipads in the business but I have problems managing the download of apps to multiple ipads using a single copy of Itunes and appleid.
I obviously want purchase correctly the number of copies of the app I require and manage them going forward but the issue I have is that when I try to purchase an additional copy of the app it shows as already purchased and downloaded in my Itunes.
What am i doing wrong or is this a feature?
Any help appreciated.

Multiple iPads with exact same settings? Is this possible?

I have several iPads I am using in my Kindergarten classroom. I am wondering how do I set it up so that when I sync what I consider my "master"- the one I download on and configure with folders just so etc.- how can I duplicate it's settings/apps onto the rest?
going through all 5 when I make a change or add a few new apps is a pain. I think itunes sees each one as a separate iPad, which is how most people with multiple ipads would want it probably. But I need the ones for my classroom to be identical.
I assume I need to sync the remaining 4 as a backup of the original but am unsure how to do that precisely. I'm afraid I'll delete all my apps or something. I appreciate your help.

There is no need to dedicate different iTunes accounts to each iPad. A charge and sync cart could be really helpful here. You use one computer with one iTunes account, and this computer syncs identical settings and apps to all of the iPads. The cart also provides charging capabilities and security from theft. How can I use multiple ipad's on one account without sharing individuals personal email accounts?

Is it possible to have multiple ipads on one account and share info, but also allow the individual users to have personal email that is not seen on the other ipad's? We have all ipads on same icloud account because we all need to see the same ical. It seems like that's the problem. If it IS related to icloud then if we have separate icloud accounts, how would we share the main ical otherwise? Sharing the ical is very important for this business so everyone can access the daily schedule. Of course each user still wants to have private email.

you could set up the main icloud itunes acount for ical and not have in setup on the devices
and share the calandar with the other itunes accounts on the devices
or only have it on one device
devices have the users indervidual itunes icloud setup
they should be able to access the shared "main" itunes icloud ical account once it's shared

Multiple iPad on one account with iCloud

I would like to update some business iPad (all over the US) from our office (in CA). Is there a way to sync multiple iPads to one iCloud account? However, I would only like to update certain apps (Keynote, movies and some documents). Is there a way to push data to their devices without them pushing anything back to me.

iPods are sync'd to iTunes libraries (what you see on your computer), not iTunes accounts (which are used to purchase items).

No. Anything purchased is always purchased by that same account and cannot be changed.
He can copy these items to his computer and use them in his iTunes library.
If you authorize his cmputer for your iTunes acoount (iTunes menu Store > Authorize computer) when he plugs in his iPod, select it in iTunes and select File > Transfer purchases.
