Multiple iPhones with one one computer

I was using multiple iPhones with one one computer, each iPhone device has it's Owen Apple ID. When I connected my device. I got my mothers photos, contacts & applications. All my applications are deleted, is there a way to retrieve my iPhones photos and applications ?

Sign out of your mom's account in itunes, then sign in with your account, then restore your phone from your itunes backup.

  • Can I have multiple iPhones with unique back ups using one icloud account?

    Hello forum users,
Can I have multiple iPhones with unique back ups using one icloud account?
I would like to back up and restore 4 different iPhones, 1 iPad, a MacBook and 1 MacBook Pro using the same single iCloud account.
If so, how is this done?
    Many thanks

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address).  While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud.  You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

  • Hi, I lost my computer. How can I sincronize my iphone with the new computer without loose my contacts and apps?

    Hi,
    I lost my computer.
How can I sincronize me Iphone with the new computer without loose my contacts and apps?
    Thanks
    Thaschor

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to move everything to the new computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from the iphone:  File>Transfer Purchases
If you enter one unique contact and calendar entry on your computer, then when you first sync you should get the option to merge the data.

  • HT201253 How do I sync iPhone with a new computer without losing data?

I've got a new laptop and have transferred my iTunes library from my old desktop to my new computer.  I want to sync my iPhone with the new iTunes library, but I get the scary message that my phone is synced to my old computer, and all my data will be erased and replaced from the new library.  What exactly will be erased?  Is it just the music and other media files, or will I have to reinstall all my apps and other data as well?  As a precaution, I've backed up my phone to iCloud.  I'd hate to have to completely restore my phone, but if necessary I will.  The instructions for this on the Apple Support site are not clear.  Thanks in advance for any help/reassurance!
    iPhone 4, running iOS 7.1.2
Computer is an Acer running Windows 8.1
    Thanks!

You won't lose any of your iPhone settings when syncing your iPhone with a new computer. When doing so, iTunes on the new computer will create a backup of your iPhone where your iPhone settings are stored.
In addition to an iTunes backup, did you also create a backup of photos that were stored on your old Mac along with contact information, calendar events, and bookmarks?
Before syncing your iPhone, you need to transfer your iTunes library from your old Mac to your new. Then authorize your new Mac with iTunes with your iTunes account. Did you de-authorize your old Mac with iTunes? You can have up to 5 computers authorized with the same iTunes account.
Also before syncing, enter one contact in the Address Book, and one calendar events in iCal on your new Mac. Make these up if needed, which can be deleted later after the first sync. This will provide a merge prompt when syncing this data, which you want to select - especially if you don't have a backup of contact information and calendar events from your old Mac.
If you use iPhoto for transferring photos from your computer to your iPhone, you need to transfer your iPhoto library from your old Mac to your new or any photos that were transferred from your old Mac to your iPhone will be lost when transferring photos to your iPhone from your new Mac.

Ideally you would share the content from your computer to theirs through Home Sharing

I sync my iphone with my office computer, but what I really would like to do is syncing only the calendars (because my secretary uses them to set up new apppointments), but syncing all the rest on my home computer. Is it possible without losing apps or music?

    Although not recommended, yes.
Disable automatic syncing when the iPhone is connected with iTunes on each computer.
The only item you will have selected for syncing with iTunes on your computer at work will be Calendars, which is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. Nothing else will be selected under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on your computer at work. You will get a warning message that your iPhone is associated with another iTunes library on a different computer which you can ignore when syncing calendars/calendar events only with iTunes on your computer at work.

  • Multiple Iphones with separate apps and one computer

I've researched this and can not find any help on either the apple site, internet and not really in here clearly.
We have multiple iphones each with their own apps and information and one computer. My husband doesn't want my apps installed on his iphone and I don't want his either.
How can we sync and update our phones using one computer and back them up without overwritting each phone with the others apps. Especially if a restore needs to be done, itunes holds one phones set of apps.

Because the iPhone does not support disk mode as with most iPods, which is probably for security reasons which isn't a concern with an iPod.
I'm concerned what will happen when I get a new PC.
No reason to be concerned. You need to transfer your iTunes library from your old PC to your new PC - the iTunes named folder located in your Music folder and with iTunes quit on the new PC, place the iTunes folder in the Music folder. You also need to authorize your new PC with your iTunes account with iTunes.
When getting a new computer, you transfer your iTunes library and content along with all other important data that you will need or want to access on your new computer such as photos, documents, etc.

  • Sync multiple iPhones with one iTunes

Can iTunes 8 on one system, sync and backup multiple iPhones?
    Tnx

Can you provide some details on how you set this up? I have been tinkering and currently have an account for me on our iMac and an account for my wife. My original thought was I needed to sync my iphone when I was logged on and she would need to sync hers when she was logged on. But I want to be able to buy songs, movies, etc on itunes once and be able to sync to one or both iphones. Also want to be able to have our own contacts but also share common ones. Also would like to be able to each have our own calendar, but share appointments/events that are common, so we only have to type them in once. Is it possible to have the best of both worlds? Is any of this documented in an iTunes/iPhone advanced user manual? Thanks for any help. best wishes.

  • Activating multiple iPhones with one or many Apple IDs?

I'm wondering whether its possible to activate an iPhone with an iTunes Store account that is not the one the phone will be used with. I'm centrally activating a dozen iPhones and loading a configuration profile onto them but I need to know if I'll need to take the staffs Apple ID's off them in order to do that?
Equally they're all going to be on a company plan but I don't want them to be able to sync their phones and have access to the same account that was used to pay for the contract, otherwise they could go nuts on the company card! (I know there are some safeguards but it only takes one to read the password upside-down off the bosses desk and then...)
Is it possible to complete an activation without logging into an iTunes Store account and if not then how do you avoid either:
    a) getting all the staff's personal information (and that is not something I would give out to anyone, they could post a silly question!)
    b) giving the staff access to a single company account. I don't even know whether its allowed to activate a dozen phones on one Apple ID
I have an iPhone myself but I can't remember at what point I had to put in my information and the videos and tutorials I've seen either don't specify or are completely useless (the O2 one is my personal favourite http://shop.o2.co.uk/FAQ?category=iPhone&question=FAQHOW_DO_I_ACTIVATE_MYIPHONE given that you could re-write that whole page as just, "use iTunes")
Also, am I missing something basic, I thought this would at least be in the Enterprise activation guide as I'm sure I can't be the first one to ask this question?
    Any help/thoughts appreciated

Ah excellent, so I can activate the phones on the company account and hand them over to each member of staff to sync with their own iTunes accounts. So I'll also be able to get the free apps on the company account and then give them over to the staff to sync with their own iTunes accounts. It means I'll have to update them manually but that's manageable at this scale.
Does anyone know if the ability to pre-load non-commercial apps is going to be a feature of the configuration utility at any point? Or at least have a post installation script which uses their account to download the apps (with appropriate dialogues requesting permission or whatever) so that you can ensure app deployment without knowing their Apple ID's?
Must remember to delete that initial text message too, if there is still one, as that'll have the account login details!
I've already got the iPhone Configuration Utility configured to set them up with Passcodes but I've not applied any restrictions, parental control wise. After all there's no point in having the iPhone if you can't have fun with all the features.
A second question but related, if you take the iPhone backup file and save it on another machine (having swapped it out for one that may already have been there) and then plug the phone in, will it sync? Does it still work if the phone backup is encrypted?
I'm thinking of backup solutions and the inevitable hardware failure that'll take the iPhone backup with it. I'll probably be trying to ChronoSync or RSync the User/Home/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup folder to a server location where it'll be rolled into our regular backup procedure but will I be able to restore that backup to another machine, the .../MobileSync/ folder and get the iPhone to work again? How have others handled this?

  • How do I set up backup for multiple iphones (40 ) in one Itune?

We will as soon as IP5 is released transfer all of our users from IP3/4 (40+) and to make that progress smoothly
we want to backupp all IP's on one computer.
Is it possible to backup multible iphones/Ipads in one Itune?
How do I set it up?
    /Anders

Some of the "sync cart" solutions will hold anywhere from 10 to 40 devices and sync them all to one host pc.....you can also connect multiple devices to a powered usb hub and all of the connected devices will appear on the left side of iTunes...I think the main challenge would be giving each device a meaningful and unique name so that you could identify it when attempting to restore it...we are looking at the the Ergotron tablet management module, they have a user guide that describes the process for connecting multiple devices through their module to one host pc.  You might also look at this solution, which is on the Apple Store.

  • Syncing multiple iPhones with 1 computer

I have my iPhone 4s and my wife has an iPhone 4s. What is the best way to sync with iTunes.  I would like to use my 1 account. Will that mess anything up, or is it better to set up both iTunes account.

" how can I sync her iphone and mine using the same iTunes account on our Mac book we have and at the same time not have every purchase or app downloaded onto both phones"
Each device will only sync what you select to sync.  If your wife does not want an app, then she should not select it to sync.
" Also since we share the same wi-fi network at home is there a way to make it so that when I get home or she gets home and had downloaded apps while away that they don't automatically get sent to each other's phones or the iPad which I use for work?
Again, if she does not select them to sync, then they will not sync.

  • Is it possible to recharge multiple iPhones on the same computer but have each iPhone backed up with its own data?

I have multiple iphones, one for personal use and one for work.  I would like to backup and recharge both on my MacBook Pro but do not want the information on the personal one to be on the work one.  My personal iPhone is 64 GB and the work one is 16 GB so the data from my personal iPhone would would not fit on the work iPhone  Both are running iOS 7.1.2 and the MBP is 10.9.4

Disable automatic syncing - http://ipod.about.com/od/iphoneipodbattery/qt/disable-auto-sync.htm e.g. for charging device on another computer.

  • Talking amongst multiple computers with only one .mac acct

We have multiple computers but only one .mac account. We would like to isight/ichat with our home-based computers from our laptops (ie: talk with the kids at home while we're on the road...) but can't figure out how to make it work. Do we need to set up SEPARATE .mac accounts ("Family Plan") in order to isight/ichat amongst our computers or can we arrange it all, using only one account?

    Magpie is right.
You can get FREE AIM Name(s) here.
You can also get additional free dot mac names if you like. The names will continue to work as iChat names after the free trial (and other dot mac features) expire.
