Multiple iTunes Accounts on One Device

I have an iPad I got through work and a personal iPhone at home.  Each have their own iTunes accounts.  Is it possible through Home Sharing to purchase apps through my personal account and install them on my work iPad without wiping out the apps associated with my work account?  Thanks.

recently bought the touchpad and added my facebook profile to it.  Me and my fiance both use the device though.  Was able to add her account as well but can't find any way of actually viewing it.  Is there any fix for this?

Currently the only way to do this is one person use the Facebook app and everyone else that wants to use Facebook will have to use the browser.

can I have multiple icoud accounts on one device (ipad)?

Are you sure only primary account can use Find my iPhone?
I added a secondary account to my daughters iphone and was able to use it for Find my iPhone.
It warns you that the Find my iphone service will be disabled on the other icloud account.
I think this is a good change so I can use a single account to track all the devices.
Looks like only photostream and documents/data are tied to the primary account.

  • HT1689 How do I download multiple itunes accounts on one computer under one user?

Recenlty moved to one account on our windows 7 computer to cut down on potential malware issues that allowed malware to migrate over to other user accounts.  However, we have different iTunes accounts and want to be able to download our individual music from each of our devices that include an iphone 4, iphone 4S, and ipod.  How do I create this capability under one windows 7 user account?

    It certainly is possible.

A single computer can be authorized for multiple iTunes accounts but only one account can be signed into the store at a time.
Frankly, you are better off with unique Windows User accounts for each user.

"Won't it present problems if the daughter needs to reauthorize the computer for her own use before 90 days,"
No. The 90 day limit ONLY applies to redownloading purchases from iTunes..
So if she were to redownload purchases from the father's account then she'd have to wait 90 days to redownload form her own account. and the computer can be authorized for multiple iTunes account (pretty sure it's 5) . You don't need to later reauthorize for first account if you authorize for a different account.
More discussion on 90 day wait period - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6094005 - disable automatic downloads so message doesn't appear when using multiple accounts.

  • Multiple iTunes accounts on one iPad

I just today purchased an iPad2, and while we were in the Apple store, the gentleman helping us set up the iTunes account on the device, using my daughter's iTunes account information.  Is there a way to have 2 iTunes account on a single iPad, as I have no need for the anemic vocal stylings of Taylor Swift?  If not, is there a way to put my music into her library and then just have Mommy's stuff on its own playlist?

You can sign in and out of two different iTunes accounts on the iPad but  - if the iPad is for your use - since you both have your own computers - I would recommend creating your own Apple ID and iTunes account. This way you can sync to your own computer and she can sync to hers.
Go to Settings>Store on the iPad. You should see your daughter's email address which is her Apple ID. Tap on the email address and a window will pop up that will allow you to sign out of her account. Then you can create your Apple ID and iTunes account.

The only thing about this is if you bought something already with her account - and I'm speaking only about purchases now - you will lose those items when you sync to iTunes. Any free apps can be downloaded again so no need to worry about those.

  • Set up multiple iTunes accounts on one computer?

I bought each of my two daughters their own iPods for Christmas, and when I set them up, I used my iTunes account login for both of them.  It has become an issue sharing my account on their devices, because all of my information comes up on their iPods (like my messages).  How can I set up new accounts for each of them, since I only have one computer?  I want each of them to have their own iTunes accounts so they can stop using mine.  Please help!!!

Also consider getting them their own AppleID, setting each person up with their own user account on the computer,  and look into Family Sharing possibilities.  Family Sharing - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT201060 - "Family Sharing makes it easy for up to six people in your family to share each other’s iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases without sharing accounts. Pay for family purchases with the same credit card and approve kids’ spending right from a parent’s device. And share photos, a family calendar, and more to help keep everyone connected."
If you use multiple AppleIDs on a computer make sure you maintain a backup of all media.  There is a 90 day wait time between using different Apple  Ids with the iTUnes Store for the purposes of re-downloading past purchases.

  • Can I download from different iTunes accounts on one device

    Hi,
I am interested in buying an iPad and would like to know:
    1) Is it possible for me to use two iTunes accounts to download apps from two different regions (Canada & China) on one device?
    2) If no, is there a workaround or some suggestions?
    3) If yes, how can it be done and can I use more than one laptop to manage the iTunes library of this device?
    Thanks in advance

Yes. Create a new Windows user account.

  • Using multiple iTunes accounts on one iPhone

I have a personal iTunes account & a work iTunes account -- I realize it's possible to sync my iPhone with both of these accounts via iTunes, but is it also possible to access both of these accounts from my iPhone to allow for direct purchases form the App Store on my phone, or do I have to pick one account for my phone & stick with it? Thanks!

Sorry, but wjosten's reply is incorrect, as you are not asking about using the iPhone with different computers, only different iTunes Store accounts on the same copy of iTunes (all on the same computer), Right?
You can use multiple iTunes Store accounts with one copy of iTunes - i.e. one iTunes library with content from both your personal and work iTunes store accounts. Content from both will also sync to your iPhone.
re: the question you ask about whether you have to stick with one iTunes store account on you iPhone - since iPhone OS 3.0 it has been possible to swap accounts on your iPhone. The only issue - that I know of - that this can cause is situations where the badge notification for applications that need updating on your iPhone can be misleading if you have Apps on your phone from more than one iTunes account.

  • Multiple itunes accounts via one user on imac

I have an iMac that has iTunes loaded and many of our devices are associated with one iTunes account.  I also have a business iTunes account with a separate contact list, music, etc.  Is it best to just setup a new user on my iMac and sync it there or is it possible to sync it under one user account?

Is there any way Apple can remove the 90 day block, since I am legimiate owner of two accounts?
    Kento,
I am afraid that your approach will not be viewed as legitimate.  The Terms and Conditions of the iTunes Japan Store state:
"The iTunes Service is available to you only in Japan, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. iTunes may use technologies to verify your compliance."
The accepted way to do what you are doing is to have a single account, and change the country according to where you physically are.

  • Multiple iTune accounts on one computer

My wife and I have one Macbook computer; I have an iPhone; She has an iphone and an ipad. We want to maintian seperate iTune accounts on the one computer. Is this possible? If so, how can I make this happen?
    Thank you

    That is so simple
My wife never uses the computer, so I never thought of setting her up as a user. Nice. I'll give it a shot
    Thank you!

  • Multiple iTunes Accounts on One Mac

For years my kids have shared our family iTunes account.  However, they are getting to the point where I want to give them their own iTunes gift cards as presents for purchases, as well as giving my wife her own card to purchase items.  If I buy one card for the family account, invariably either my wife or one of the kids will use the card up without the other being able to purchase what they want.
So I just want to set up iTunes so that they each get their own iTunes account and they are able to access their prior purchases that were made on the family account.  Both kids have mac laptops, iPads and iPhones (a bit spoiled I know, but mostly hand-me-downs).
Ultimately, my question is whether each kid can have their own separate iTunes account and still have access to their old purchases from the joint account and access to their new content?  Really, it's whether macs and iDevices can play content from different iTunes accounts.
I've tried to sort through the forums to find this, but can't find if this was addressed before.  Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Seperate iTunes accounts should be dealt with by using seperate user accounts on the Mac itself. You shouldn't be logging in and out of iTunes accounts in the same user account.
