Hi,
Not sure if this is a iPod touch question or an iTunes question. So, I'm gonna ask it here.
I'd like to buy an app that's available in the Japanese iTunes store and not in the US iTunes store.
So, can I create a Japanese iTunes account and use it to buy an app for my iPod without having to start my iTunes library all over from scratch? I don't want to risk losing all my current US iTunes store content and iTunes library.
Will iTunes sync content from two different accounts onto one device (my iPod touch)?

You can use multiple iTunes accounts on one iPod. Just note that you can only sync with one iTunes library/computer. However, yu can manage music among different computers. See:

So, my friend and I shared an username and such. But he deleted his account and forgot to tell me. I made a new account with a different friend and his is verified and such. I went to the Itunes store app on my touch and I scrolled to the bottome and it looks as though I am logged in on the new account....beow the email it says "Terms & Conditions...." so I was thinking the "..." was because something was left undone. But anyways, when I go to the app store on my touch and try to update my apps the little window pops up and asks for my password..I looked at the email and it still has the old accounts email! How?! Why?! HELP.

2 separate itunes accounts for 1 ipod touch

This is probably not complicated but here is my situation....
My daughter has an ipod touch and always asks me to add movies, games, etc. My ex wife decided that she wanted the itunes account shared with her account and since she won't give me the password i can't add anything for my daughter. I've been told that there is a way to open a 2nd account that would sync with my computer. I'm guessing it would mean she couldn't combine things on her ipod but at least i could add things for her even if she has to switch back & forth. Thanks for the help

You can use more than one account on an iPod. However, note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
Also note the 90 day time period specified here for change accounts on a device.

It is my daughters iPod that is linked to my iTunes account for purchases. I want her to use her own email (or iTunes account) for FaceTime and Messaging. We had this system working at one time, but now her FaceTime and Messaging are linked to my iTunes account.

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.
If you want to use here new ID for purchases note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.

Multiple iTunes accounts with iPad2.

I have the following scenario: We have purchased several iPads for our employees and we are trying to find the best way to administer them. We would like to be abble to:
1. Users to use their home computer and personal iTunes account to purchase apps/music/books with their personal credit card;
2. Users to use a single company computer and one company iTunes account so that we can purchase apps/books that are company mandatory with the company credit card.
Is this possible and what is the correct way of setting this up.

p.s. Of course users have other personal apple products (iPhone, iPod, etc.) and administering those is not the issue here, but, should not affect the proposed setup.

so the VPP would be an option..that way the users could continue to use their personal iTunes accounts, and you could deploy the company paid apps to them via a link imbedded in an email sent to them...we also have users backup their iOS devices on home computers...that way we don't have to mess around with responsibility for iTunes music and photo libraries on work pc's..here is a link to the VPP if you haven't seen it yet...

Unfortunately not. Home Sharing only streams content to iOS devices, and the nano is not an iOS device.

There can be only one emailladdress accociate with an Apple/iTunes ID. However, after you initiall set up the Messages and FaceTime apps with the Apple/iTunes ID you can add another email amessaging/calling addresses and delete the Apple/iTunes email address.

ITunes freezes with one iPod Touch (4g) but not the other.

Just got our Apple TV. If my husband and I use separate iTunes accounts, can we use both accounts for things like music, movies, iCloud photos? I'm not setting up home sharing. Just want to be able to log in and out of our accounts. Is this possible?

Yes.
Set up both accounts at settings > iTunes Store and switch between them as and when required.

Why won't my itunes sync with my ipod touch since the recent update

A vast majority of my music syncs...but several albums won't sync. I have tried manual, checking every fricking box...and they still won't load to my ipod...Do you think Apple has something against the Rolling Stones???

I'm on iOS 7.1.2, iTunes 11.3.054, sync stopped working about a week ago.
when it starts the backup phase it dies, gets stuck there and won't recover.....
tried a restore, same issues, dies at backup and won't proceed.
I've restarted & power cycled everything a few times, tried turning off icloud, find my phone, airplane mode, etc, no joy.
