Multiple message sounds after updating iOS 5

After updating my iphone 4 to iOS 5, Whenever i get a msg or a notification, the tri-tone message sound is played about 3 times. Am i the only one?

If you mean that the tri-tone sound is repeated with intervals of two minutes: When you go to Settings -> Notifications -> Messages, near the bottom you can choose how often a message alert must be repeated. This can be set to never.

I've recently updated my phones firmware to 12.043, impressed how much more resposive the phone is.
However I now have an issue when I get a new text message the phone does not make any sound.
I have checked the profile is on general and that the message tone is set.
I can play the message file when selecting the tone, but it doesn't play when i get a message.
Any ideas?

Have you tried a restore factory default settings?
It won't delete any data of yours, it'll just mean you have to redo your profile, ringtone, theme etc. settings again afterwards.
Enter *#7780# from the standby screen and provide your security code when prompted. It'll be the default 12345 unless you've changed it.

It sounds like you’ve recently updated your iPad and now it’s disabled because the passcode you’re entering isn’t being accepted. I can imagine that would be frustrating. Hi I also have this problem. Sound was only working on the headphones and also on the volume slider in the settings app. Everywhere else I get no sound and no volume slider. Now the headphones don't work either.
(I'm using an ipad 2 iOS 6.1.2)
And NO it's not muted. I've reset all settings and restarted the iPad. Been searching forums for a couple days. Some say its a dirty docking port problem, others suggest a Skype or other app update that could be the problem.
No volume control icon appears when I press the volume control buttons. Only says sound effects, if it says anything at all. Most often there is NO volume icon. YouTube, video, music, and other game apps, no sound.

This sounds more like a hardware issue.
Have you checked that the dock connector port is not dirty?

have a similar problem here. More specifically, I am using a Plantronics Voyager Legend (brand new) with my Iphone5 (iOS 7.0.2). All apps are working great with the headset, e.g., listening to music, normal phone calls, etc. No sound distortion at all.
When I use Skype (most recent version, which is 4.12.258) the sound is very distorted, like scattered. I also successfully used the same headset with a Samsung Galaxy S3 and Skype. No problems. So, I suspect that it must be the combination of Iphone/iOS7 and Skype which messes up the sound.
Does anybody else have the same problem when using that combination of devices and apps?

iPhone 3GS after updating Ios 6.1.3 cannot be activated. When I connected my iPhone to iTunes on PC, iTunes said that there was no SIM card on iPhone. I also took out the SIM Card and took in the SIM Card, but it wasn't working. I activated iPhone through WIFI but it said that the server was temporarily not available. I tried again more and more times but nothing's changed. Please help me.

Distorted sound after updating from iTunes 10.4 to 10.5 in Win XP SP3

After the latest Apple update,I have istorted sound after updating from iTunes 10.4 to 10.5 in Win XP SP3.
But it plays normally sounds coming from my connected iPod or any internet radio station !!
If I add any song to a playlist, it turns out to be just noise!
Any clue ?

Need Help in activating my iphone 4 after update iOS 5.1. My phone was been neverlock and i used its before update without any activations. After update i can't turn on my phone!!! On the display have message "SIM not valid. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier's store to receive replacement SIM card". But i haven't any sim cards. Only the sim card from my operator "Kyivstar" (Ukraine)... What should i do?!

You have been using a phone that has been hacked to allow it to be used on your network. Upgrading your phone's software has relocked your phone to the original carrier.
You will not be able to use your phone again unless the ORIGINAL carrier offers unlocking. Many don't, and many who DO offer unlocking, will not unlock unless the phone has active service with the carrier in the appropriate country.
You will need to find out who the carrier your phone is locked to is, and see if that carrier unlocks the phone. It is very likely you will need to buy a new phone.

When are Apple going to make bluetooth work? How come they have never managed to implement fully and properly something others have had working for years?

After update IOS from 6.0 to 7.1, my Apple Id cannot access to my Iphone due to the Apple ID that comment on IOS 7.0.2 was not matched to the old one.

I have gotten the problem after updated IOS to version 7.0.2. I signed up my IPhone with su* @pttplc.com as Apple ID via older IOS version and can use it normally but after I update the IOS version from 6.0 to 7.0.2, the Apple ID that commented on my IPhone is sx* @pxxxxx.com. It look like that the number of alphabet in Apple Id is not matched. The new one is less than the old one so I cannot log in my IPhone. After that I try asking for the new password but the new password was not send to su* @pttplc.com but send to my reserve e-mail instead. Please help me to fix the problem ASAP due to I cannot access IPhone for 2 month already.
Please suggest the solution to reset my IPhone to normal. Please advise ASAP. Thanks in advance.

If you recently changed your Apple ID and did not update your Apple ID on your device:

Try:
- Reset the dock
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Otherwise you are out of luck. Apple is not making any more update for the 4G.
Also check with Phillips. Maybe they have an firmware update available

You can restore the phone and when prompted to restore choose from icloud account. BUT MAKE SURE there is 1.) an icloud backup for your phone. 2.) you are using the same apple id.
