Multiple notes when using gmail??!
I tried using gmail IMAP with mail and whnever I tried to edit a note a new one is created so I have a million notes why??
...so look in the Event editor (just hit E ) and see if the doubled notes are on the same or on different midi channels. If the doubles are duplicates (same length, same velocity, same channel) then you have a MIDI loop and need to set your keyboard to local off, as pointed out.
To get rid of the duplicates you already have, select all notes (⌘-A) in the editor and hit D .

Multiple Notes When Using Keyboard
Hi Everyone,
I'm getting double notes when I record via my keyboard into Logic Pro 9.1.1. In other words, when I go to edit notes in the Piano Roll screen, there's another one underneath it. So, any suggestions Oh Great Wise Ones?...so look in the Event editor (just hit E ) and see if the doubled notes are on the same or on different midi channels. When using gmail on safari, there is white tie on the top
when using gmail on safari, there is white tie on the top and I don't know why it is.
Might be a third party plugin or extension causing this ...
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.
Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
If it's not a plug-in issue, select the Extensions tab. If there are any extensions installed, turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that made a difference, uninstall one at a time, quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the culprit. -

Line breaks in emails when using Gmail
*The problem arises because the iPhone uses "Plain Text" to send emails.*
*When using gmail, gmail automatically inserts line breaks in "Plain Text" emails every 78 characters, the reason why you see the breaks when unexpected.*
*See: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/gmail/thread?id=4d1cecc1aab102ef&hl=en*
*To fix this problem:*
*1. Apple can allow us to send mail with Rich Text support from iOS devices OR*
*2. Google has to change the line breaks setting so that Plain text flows (and isn't broken) <-- this option is probably more realistic*
*I have tried from a hotmail account, sending email as plain text doesn't have line breaks imposed like the gmail account, but rather "flows".*
*If you want gmail to add a setting to disable line breaks in plain text emails:*
*Suggest the feature here:*
*http://mail.google.com/support/bin/static.py?page=suggestions.cs*
*I chose these categories:*
*- I have another idea*
*- Sending and receiving*
*- - - Composing and delivery*
*- - - - Sending options*
*-For comments: Configure or disable plain text wrap length.*I am having the same problem with an IMAP/SMTP account. It was a GMail account, I switched it to using the GMail auto setup and haven't had any issues.
But under the standard IMAP/SMTP setting almost 1/3 of all messages were showing no content.
Though I don't recall exactly - I think most of them were sent while I was on 3G, and it otherwise works fine on WiFi. -
After upgrading on both computers at work and at home, iPhoto will no longer email using Gmail (or for that matter any email program I can find). I've tried the fixes of deleting all accounts in iPhoto and re-entering. Still doesn't work. Any other ideas?
Hi Scooter,
I'm reposting my response to a similar question here.
Try this, assuming you're using iPhoto 11 and Mountain Lion:
Within the iPhoto application, click on iPhoto in the menu bar
Click on Preferences
Within Preferences, click on Accounts
Your Gmail account should be present. Click on Gmail under Accounts.
Put in the proper information. Your full gmail address is your username (put this under Email address). Outgoing Mail Server is smtp.gmail.com Port is 465 Password is your password. Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) should be checked.
Upon making these changes, click on the red "close" button in the top left corner of the pop-up window. Choose to Save Changes.
Close iPhoto.
Reopen iPhoto. You should now be able to share photos.
I hope this helps. One suggestion for you, by the way. It's always best to include the application version and the operating system version you're using when asking for help. The above solution will not apply, at least exactly, to anything other than iPhoto 11 and Mountain Lion.
Cheers,

Setting a different "reply to" when using gmail via exchange on the iPhone?
Hi Guys,
I have been using gmail via IMAP for quite a while on my iPhone, but decided to switch to gmail via exchange. It's really great - instead of polling for emails, they are pushed to the phone - this means a saving on data costs as it's not polling every 15 mins!
The only problem I am having is that I currently have my own domain name, so my "reply email address" is different to my gmail one.
When using IMAP, there was the option to set a return address. Under Exchange, the first field is "email" - I thought this might be the return address (as it doesn't seem to have anything to do with my gmail account details) but when I send an email from it, the return address is just my standard gmail one...
Does anyone know a solution to this?!
Cheers and thanks,
MikeHey Graham,
Thanks for the reply!
If I do want to stick with gmail, though - is there any way to set up a return address on the iPhone's Exchange, or is it just not an option?
Cheers,
Mike -
How to incorporate Win-zip Courier into Firefox when using Gmail?
I use Gmail. When I use Firefox to open my Gmail, I could not use Win-zip Courier to encrypt my attachment.
However, I can do so if I use Google Chrome to do the email attachment.
Is there any step I missed when installing the programs?See this:

No Content in Emails when using Gmail
When sending email it shows no content even though I typed info in the email. It also gives a smtp error, but then when you close out the mail program it sends the email. I am using gmail. I checked all of the settings and they are the same as my Iphone and it sends emails fine.
I am having the same problem with an IMAP/SMTP account. It was a GMail account, I switched it to using the GMail auto setup and haven't had any issues.
But under the standard IMAP/SMTP setting almost 1/3 of all messages were showing no content.

When I try to use an apostrophe, when using online forums or my email (all in safari), a white bar appears at the bottom of the screen displaying the punctuation mark but it will not allow me to use it. Any idea how I can fix this?
Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost. -
I am remotely accessing a website which has iFrame in it. The website uses https, but iFrame tag has "src" pointing to a site using http only. However, when I remotely go to the site, iFrame shows the message below although the ''src" url is http only (there is no SSL certificate) when I use IP address (https://10.10.101.156:8006/apprecovery/admin/Core/Storage) in address bar instead of hostname (https://hostname:8006/apprecovery/admin):

Why is it giving this when using hostname but not when IP address is using?Corrected first para above:
I am remotely accessing a website which has iFrame in it. The website uses https, but iFrame tag has "src" pointing to a site using http only. However, when I remotely go to the site, iFrame shows the message below although the "src" url is http only (there is no SSL certificate) when I use hostname address (https://<hostname>:8006/apprecovery/admin) in address bar. But I dont see the message in iFrame when I instead use IP Address (https://<IP Address>:8006/apprecovery/admin) to go to main website. -
Internet freezes with Safari, Firefox & Chrome, but not when using MS IE
When using my macbook wirelessly and am in the Mac OS, my internet freezes after 5 minutes, doesn't matter if I am using Safari, Firefox or Chrome. If I shut down and boot up Windows XP and use IE, it does not freeze up. I use my iMac with the same router wirelessly and never have any issues with Sarari... Can anyone suggest what I should try? I have removed and reloaded Safari, Firefox and just tried Chrome, with the issue still happening...
Thanks,The web sites visited are pretty much the same on either the iMac or MacBook. These are well known sites for the most part. I always keep updates current with any of the software I use including Adobe...

Apple Mail not showing any emails in Inbox when using Gmail IMAP.
I am using Mail to check my Gmail which is set up in Google Apps. The problem is that it never seems to synchronize properly with Gmail. Right now, if I click on Inbox in Mail, it is empty. Not one mail. But if I search for something in the search bar, the mails in Inbox appear. This happens on two computers, an iMac and a Macbook Pro, both running Snow Leopard.
I am using about 1.7GB of space on Gmail, so I do have a lot of mail, but for some reason Apple Mail never seems catch up and just run smoothly. Other people on the same domain hosted by Google Apps, also using Apple Mail are fine. Please let me have any ideas.
Operating system: Apple OS X 10.6.1
Program and version you use to access Gmail: Apple Mail 4.1Welcome to my confusing and problematic world. We currently have 20-odd users on the Google Apps domain. 3 of them are using Apple Mail to access their mail. 1 is having problems. The only thing different about this user is that we imported messages in from Outlook using the Google mail importer. This is the only thing I can think. The importer seemed to ignore certain folders, even if we retried, and it created folders as inbox/insurance_ etc. I changed all the folders to INBOX in caps, as that is what Mail preferred, and removed the trailing underscore.
This is the only thing different about this user.
On a web browser looking at Gmail, I have:
Inbox
Starred
Sent Mail
Drafts
[Imap]Drafts
Apple Mail To Do
Deleted Items
Deleted Messages
Follow Up
INBOX/folder1
INBOX/folder2
INBOX/folder2/folder1
etc...
INBOX/Folder113
Junk E-mail
Misc
Priority
Sent Messages
4 More (containing Chats, All Mail, Spam, Bin)
I did another "Account Info" and got this: http://gallery.me.com/rtaxerxes/100023/Screen%20shot%202009-11-04%20at%2010.19.5 9%20PM
You'll notice, now it does have an Inbox. But the folders it says are 0 messages and 0 KB do actually have stuff in them on the web browser.
