Multiple OCRs and the overhead related to it

   Oracle 11.2.0.3
   OEL 6.3
   Readind the fine manual, i saw a phrase saying that multiple OCRs (mirrowed OCRs) can cause an overhead. On my test env, i mirrowed my OCR to another diskgroup, even using normal redundancy in the original diskgroup. I did it only for learning/testing purpose. The main question is: This overhead is significant? I mean, if i add 5 redundant OCR copies, it will negativelly impact my env?

I had the same issue and i just resolved it, I have an iphone 4s and last night was al perfect and this morning i just verified that i had a new updated installed on my phone and my WiFi was disable and did restore as new like crazy until i did this after me being tired of restoring my phone from factory setting and then my lately back up on icloud i did my last move and it got fixed this is what i did ok.
STep #1 Do a back up manualy onto your cmputer throu itunes (NOT ICLOUD) ok
Step #2 after doing the the back up go and do on you phone or throu itunes do the factory reset setting and erase everything and make like new phone
Step #3 Leave yhe iphone conected to Itunes.
Step #4 Once your iphone is reset to factory setting on your Itunes Window will say NO SIM CARD DETECTED before clicking on your right up corner (DONE) slide your phone and it will appear conect to a network do the process and put the pasword of your WiFi and until it says conected,It will say (No Service) but it will be conected to WiFi then click on the Itunes Window (DONE)
Step #5 DO a back up recovery from the last back up you did onto your computer not Icloud ok!!
Step #6 after you recovered your phone from last back up on your computer it will atumaticaly have service and WiFi conection like before..
I hope i did explained well to you i did work for me after 7 hours of doing reset and back up =)

Basically, I've already described the problem. Some songs play perfectly fine in itunes but the same songs corrupt when placed on different devices of varying age. Therefore, I don't think there's something wrong with the original file and I don't think there's something wrong with all of my devices. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

I was researching the issue you are experiencing, and have come to the conclusion that the songs in question may need to be converted and re imported. This article, iTunes: How to convert a song to a different file format outlines how to re import songs that are already in your itunes library, which I believe will resolve the issue.

To convert a song's file format:
Open iTunes Preferences.
Windows: Choose Edit > Preferences.
Mac: Choose iTunes > Preferences.
Click the General button, then click the Importing Settings button in the second section of the window.
From the Import Using pop-up menu, choose the encoding format that you want to convert the song to, then click OK to save the settings.
Select one or more songs in your library, then from the Advanced menu, choose one of the following (The menu item changes to show what's selected in your Importing preferences):
Create MP3 version
Create AAC version
Create AIFF version
Create WAV version
Create Apple Lossless version
If you haven't imported some songs into iTunes yet, you can import and convert them at the same time. This will create a converted copy of the file in your iTunes Library based on your iTunes preferences. To convert all the songs in a folder or on a disk, hold down the Option key (Mac) or Shift key (Windows) and choose Advanced > ConvertImport preference setting. The Import preference setting will match what you chose in step 3. iTunes will prompt you for the location of the folder or disk you want to import and convert. All the songs in the folder or on the disk will be converted. Note: Some purchased songs are encoded using a protected AAC format that prevents them from being converted. iTunes Plus purchases are not protected and can be converted.
The song in its original format and the newly converted song appear in your library.

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.

I've tried to restore my iphone multiple times and the white bar won't go across

Including last night, I've been sitting at my computer for at least 6 to 7 hours...
Saturday morning, I woke up to a strange icon on my phone when i turned it on. It said i needed to connect my iphone to itunes. I just got my iphone a few weeks ago, and i didn't have any problems up in till now. So I causually went up to my computer, and plugged my charger into the computer, and plugged my charger to the iphone. A message popped up saying my iphone needed to be restored. So I clicked 'restore and upgrade." It was restoring for 2 hours. When it was finally complete, a small white bar apperead. Unfortuantly, even though my phone was plugged in for several hours, it still made no progess. I updated Itunes..I even updated my computer! I tried another computer which has more updated feautures to it, and it still has the same problem. Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated.

Multiple Recordsets and the Oracle OleDB Provider

We are trying to return multiple recordsets from an Oracle SP through the Oracle oledb provider using VB. First of all, is this possible and is there any example code out there. Having trouble finding some info on this.

After reading install guide I figured out waht might be the problem.
I put OLEDB install into the same home (ora81).
It was suppose to go into different home directory (ora92).
Also, OLEDB is one of few components which can't exist in more then one
home dir on single machine. Installer knows that, and skips install of
OLEDB provider itself. So in my case I had to first uninstall OLEDB provider 8.1.7
and then install OLEDB provider 9.2

My phone app freezes and message app crashes. I tried restarting multiple times and the problem persists. Everytime i go to the phone app and press on a contact to call it just freezes up and does nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

The other issue is that since I got my MacBook Pro I am having problems with my USB Flash Drive. Either I can't read from it or write to and I constantly get the spinning beach ball and I have to shut down and restart my computer. Has anyone come across this.

Paging simultaneously to IP phones and legacy overhead

I just wanted to share something with the community as it is something I have seen a number of posts on and somethign we struggled with as a company before stumbling on this ingenious solution. I can't take credit for this, we found it online (Also sorry if this is a repost)
There is a simple, if somewhat kludgy way to do this. Any time we have a customer who needs to page both to an overhead and the phone simultaneously what we do is purchase a very basic model IP phone such as a 7912.
You then open that phone up and attach a single pair from a Cat5 cable to the leads for the phones speakerphone. Drill a small hole for your cable to come out of the phone and attach the other end of the pair to your overhead paging system. In this way, users need only dial the DN for the IP to IP phone paging and it will broadcast over both the phones and the overhead simultaneously without any sort of complicated additional configuration.
This is handy as a number of people I see on these forums aren't terribly familiar with the command line and this method requires no configuration that can not be done with CCA.
I hope this helps you guys, I know it's certainly been a great time saver for us when installing CME and UC500 systems!

I've never run into any sound quality issues. The overhead pages all sound fine. Additionally I've not had to make any impedence changes. Really the only thing I've ever had to change were just the output levels on the overhead system to raise or lower the volume but this trick has really been a boon to us for situations exactly like you describe. Customers want the transition to be seemless and if anything works differently it becomes a deal breaker. I can't believe Cisco hasn't come up with an official way to universally page but this should do the trick for you.
Unfortunately I've not done any of the actual physical work to hook the cable up to the internal speakers, someone else in my company has always done this. I know we're not the first to do this as we got the idea from someone else online so there may be a video up on youtube.
An additional caveat I would have you be aware of is that if they want ring out over the overhead, you're going to need to use a phone with multiple buttons (unlike the 7912s we typically use). So its a matter of balancing needs of customers against cost.

Used Bootcamp to install Windows 7. Now, my macbook pro 13 mid 2009 will not boot back into OSX, there is no Bootcamp utilities like there should be anywhere to be found, and the DVD drive will not recognize the OSX install disk that came with my laptop.

Basically all in the title. Also, some additional info: partition was 115 GBs for Windows, 385 or whatever for OSX (I have a 500 GB Harddrive), I have tried restarting multiple times, and the drive will recognize the DVD, but almost as if the DVD is blank, as it asks me to format it or drag files to it, etc.

Hold your "Option" key down while starting your machine. Continue to hold it down until you are presented with the boot menu which should allow you to select either OS X or Windows (provided you didn't somehow wipe your OS X partition). When you get into OS X, you can go to System Preferences / Startup Disk. Here you can select the default startup partition (OS X or Windows)... when you're installing Windows via BootCamp, it gets changed to Windows so when you finish setting up BootCamp, it automatically reboots and launches the Windows installer. Installing all of the Windows drivers from the OS X DVD should provide you with a Startup Disk option under Windows as well.

Combine functionality Batch Create Multiple files and Set Security

Greetings,
Is there any way to combine the functionality of Acrobat Pro’s “Batch Create Multiple Files” (File (drop down) -> Create PDF -> Batch Create Multiple Files…) and running a batch process (Advanced -> Document Processing -> Batch Processing -> Batch Sequences -> Set Security)?
Ideally I’d like to either:
1) Add the “Set Security” batch process to the “Batch Create Multiple Files … command located under the File (drop down) -> Create PDF
or
2) Be able to create a batch process that first allows me to select the documents (Word, Excel, etc.) I want to convert into PDF files, then converts them, then runs the Set Security batch process.
Right now it isn’t too much trouble to first “Create Multiple Files…” then run the batch process Set Security, but it would be nice to be able to do both with a single command.
Any suggestions?

The first file is the problem file. If you create this file separately, Acrobat will convert it perfectly. But "Batch create multiple files" and the graphics are deconstructed on page 8

How to change multiple artboardsizes AND objects in it?

Hi everyone
I want to know if there's a possible to change multiple artboards AND the objects that you make in it, scale proportionally?
I'm able to change my artboards independent but not al the artboards on the same time. Is there an option for that you can change multiple art boards on the same time?
Then I have an other question.
Is there a possibility that you can scale you objects (or things that you made in that artboards) proportionally when you want to change your artboards?
Or do you have to remake al de artboards on the size that you want and scale the objects that you make manualy?

SHort answer: yes.
Long answer: first create rectangles the size of your artboards. Then delete the artboards.
Scale everything as desired. Convert rectangles to artboards via the command in Object > Artboards.
