Multiple Office365 tenants with single sync server filtered by OU possible?

For what I currently know multiple O365 tenants synced by dirsync is only possible with multiple sync server where each sync server has an active filter for the OU for example. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Now I'd like to use a single AD / ADFS with multiple OA so that each OA will be it's own O365 tenant. But the central AD FS should be used for SSO.
The scenario looks a bit like this:
* Parent company provides www.theparentcompany.com for ADFS federation
* Subsidiary company A is an OU of the parents AD
* Subsidiary company A owns www.imasubsidiary.com
* Users of company A want to log in by [email protected] but be federated by the ADFS behind theparentcompany.com
* Subsidiary company B is an OU of the parents AD
* Subsidiary company B owns www.anotherdomain.com
* Users of company B want to log in by [email protected] but be federated by the ADFS behind theparentcompany.com
Is there a way to do this with a single sync server with the current tools? At least for what I see (connectors in FIM2010) it looks like it could be possible in theory. But I couldn't find any documentation that validates this kind of scenario.
Can FIM2010 for dir sync be used sync multiple connectors for multiple tenants or is the configuration/flow special to the DirSync installation so that a new installation is needed?
Will the upcoming AAD Connect support this scenario?

I am afraid you may not be able to achieve this using DirSync or AADSync.

hi,
basically in partner profile i.e. in we20 , we add details to the receiver / sender port that we have created using we21.
so what exactly we do in that is that we first use the message type for those idocs that we have created.
now based on those message type we create a process code. now this is the reason why you cannot apply several message types with the same name in we20... as process code is unque for each message type.
so thats why you can only assign the same message name to several idocs in we82 and then in we20 define the process code for that message type.
it will solve your problem.

Secure LDAP with Multiple DPS's on Single Physical Server

I am having an issue connecting to the directory server over SSL via the directory proxy server. I have enabled SSL and tested successfully in some situations, however this situation is unique.
DPS 5.2 patch 4
Directory Server patch 4
I have applied the neccessary hotfixes from sun to resolve the SSL issues.
There are 3 physical servers. 2 of those servers each have 2 instances of directory proxy server running. The 3rd server has 2 separate Directory Server instances running (1 for enterprise authentication, 1 for Access Manager). Each physical proxy server has 1 instance running for each Directory server instance (1 enterprise LDAP, 1 AM LDAP). All 4 proxy instances can connect successfully to the Directory Masters over the unsecure ports (389 for enterprise LDAP, 55389 for AM LDAP). On the proxy servers, only the initial proxy instance can connect to the secure port successfully. For instance, on server 1 first the DPS for enterprise LDAP was installed then a DPS for AM LDAP was added. Only the enterprise proxy instance can connect successfully over SSL. On server 2 initially the AM LDAP instance was installed and then an enterprise LDAP instance was added. In this case only the AM LDAP instance can connect successfully.
For both instances of the proxy the appropriate certificates have been installed and verified. I can use the dps-instance-cert8.db for the working and non working DPS instances and successfully connect to the Directory Master using ldapsearch from the directory proxy server.
When I do ldapsearch I receive the following error on the second instances:

In these situations it's important to separate SSL level issues from LDAP issues. I've had good results using "openssl s_client" to investigate and debug SSL/TLS level issues. I point it at the LDAP server and it sets up a connection handling the SSL layers and giving lots of diagnostics about SSL and the X.509 certificates in use.
Try looking for things like whether the SubjectAltName and/or Issuer's CN contain the same hostname you are using to connect.
After giving you the diagnostics it will be waiting with your stdin/stdout connected to the application via SSL (which could make you think it's hanging). Since you're probably not going to be typing the LDAP protocol by hand you want to abort s_client at this point (or type something that Directory Server will reject as a LDAP protocol error).
You can get openssl from the usual places: blastwave.org & sunfreeware.com.

I have one concern regarding ESS.
Can we do or can we make two ESS access (R3 server1 and R3 Server2) from one Portal server.
I heard that from one portal server (ESS) we can connect multiple clients which are from backend R3 (example client 100 and client 200)
My requirement is :
We have two R3 backend servers and one EP(ESS) server.
Can we access two backend systems from one EP server with Two ESS tabs.
I am expecting Multiple jco settings, multiple SSo, Multiple SLD, Multiple SPRO Menu settings, UWL settings.
Multiple service specific settings to be access by using single EP server(Multiple ESS Tabs)
Please help me for doing this.

Using multiple wireless networks with Single sign on?

The university that I currently work for has switched from one wireless SSID to 2 separate SSIDs that separate the student users from the faculty/staff users. At this time only the Faculty Staff can log into STAFF and students can only log into STUDENT...
I have a few laptop carts that were setup for student use and have single sign on configured for the STUDENT wireless connection. The laptops are on the university's domain so that students have access to the home drives.
We run into problems when Faculty try to use a laptop to teach a class. They are unable to log in because their credentials are not authorized for the STUDENT wireless network.
So...Is it possible to setup 2 wireless profiles (STUDENT and STAFF) with single sign on and give the user an option to choose from?

Mapping between multiple portal user with single R/3 user

Hi,
It is possible to map multiple portal user to the single R/3 user? If yes, than what is procedure to achieve it? It is possible to logon same time more than one portal user which is mapped with same R/3 user in production system?

you can always do that using user mapping in user admin->identity management
where for each user details you get a tab called user mapping.
you have to create a R3 system in system admin and a give a system alias to it
Use this system alias in user mapping /
You can map multiple portal users with a single R3 user and can work parallelly.
But make sure that you have proper license in doing that.

It is not clear what you want. But yes thats possible. I think the RAC or DB general forum would be better suited. Since it might depend upon how your listener configuration is set up.
Apex (OHS or Apex Listener) is just like any other client in this regard. You can set it up to connect to both rac nodes (load balancing style) or you could set it up to connect to one dedicated apex rac node.

After the Back End Server is up, you could verify if the services of Lync Servers are normally started, and take a test.

DSfW desaster recovery in a single DSfW server scenario - is this possible?

Is it possible to do a bare metal recovery or another disaster recovery
of a single DSfW server in a multi server edir tree?
I could not find anything useful on that issue and in the meantime I
doubt, that this is at all possible.
There are several edir attributes for DSfW objects, which are set to
not replicate. These are only stored on the local server and lost if
you loose the local edir replica e.g. due to a server failure.Further I
have learned that restoring a local edir replica from backup into an
existing and running edir tree is an absolute no go, if you want to
avoid quite a lot of troubles. Furthermore you cannot manage those
values with the edir tools available for users and administrators, you
can set them only via the tools, which are used by NTS so in fact only
via opening a SR.
On a simple non DSfW OES server, you can do a disaster restore without
having to hassle with not replicated attributes.
In a single server tree, there is also no problem.
I think there needs to be a solution to this problem, but I doubt there
is one. I only remember the troubles I had after an edir crash on my
DSfW server where the lack of correct values for those attributes after
rebuilding the dib from the other replicas, lead to quite some
problems, which could only be solved via NTS.
I even think, that without help from NTS you are unable to restore a
crashed DSfW server in a multi DSfW server tree, but you are at least
able to install a new server, which can take over the role of the
crashed server.

Multiple Infrastructure servers with Single OID/SSO Server

I am trying to migrate an application from OAS/8.1.6 to 9iAS. We have multiple OAS instances clustered using Microsoft NLB and the remote database is also on a Microsoft cluster. We intend to use Single Sign On for authentication of clients (application is in remote 9i Database accessed via a PLSQL DAD)
Have successfully implemented this on a single machine - installed 9iAS Infrastructure and now web clients can go to url http://server.com/myapp and are redirected to the single sign on pages before running the /myapp application via the PLSQL DAD.
However, I am having problems trying to scale this via installing further infrastructure instances which utilise the first OID/SSO server above. This appears to be a supported configuration and during install I am prompted for the location of the OID/SSO server - the first server is located correctly and installation works fine.
However, mod_osso doesn't seem to be configured when the subsequent servers are installed. I've followed the procedures described in the Oracle Note 217155.1 "HOW TO avoid the redirection to the SSO-Server" to configure the new servers as partner applications to the original server. A PLSQL Dad has also been configured on these servers and tested without mod_osso in the way.
Accessing the /myapp application via any of the new servers results in redirection to single sign on pages with the text "Error: Invalid value specified. (WWC-41409)" being displayed on the login page so there's obviously a configuration error.
Has anybody else been through the exercise of creating a distributed enterprise level infrastructure installation of 9iAS and would be willing to share any lessons learnt? Or does anyone know how to solve the WWC-41409 error?

If you haven't finished configuring your server configuration already you might want to do a search on Metalink using the key word "ptlasst.bat". You can create and wire multiple repositories using this utility.

Multiple BI instances on single BI Server

I want to know if we can have multiple instances of BI run on single installation
i.e on single installation
I would like to run two different rpds and two different webcatalogs.
Can this be done?
If this can be done does oracle support this kind of installation?

Hi,
Technically, I think you can run two mutually exclusive services on one server. You need an web application layer for managing like OC4J, weblogic, etc wherein you deploy two instance of presentation services with different port and each of these have DSN to different RPD's. I doubt you will be able to run on an IIS server (web layer).
As far with the support, I think oracle supports single instance of Presentation services, but check with your oracle sales person on that.
