Multiple outgoing CID's

So in the scenario where I'm installing my first UC540, the customer has three different outbound CID's he like to use.  One CID is the main business line.  The 2nd is a 2nd small business they run out of the same office.  The third is a home phone # he'd like to be able to use from remote phones at him home.
The phones are SPA525G2's with 500S side-cars.
My first thought was to assign multiple extensions to each phone, offset by 100.  So a phone may have an extension 201, 301, and 401.  201 would be the main line, 301 would be the 2nd business, and 401 would be the home line.
The problem with this is the # of buttons required for "watches."  So if the receptionist wants to see if the big-cheese is talking on a phone at home, she would need three buttons for each of the home phones.  Seems kinda inefficient.  I can do it, it just seems kludgy.
Any other ideas how to implement a system like this, using CCA?  I haven't delved into the command-line much and quite frankly I'm a little concerned about going that way as I understand there is no support from Cisco if I venture away from the CCA.

Just wanted to post a follow-up to my own post, after having had a chance to perform an experiment.
If Phone #1 has three normal buttons assigned, let's say x201, 301, and 401 (each with a unique outbound CID assigned).
And if Phone #2 has a watch of only x201.
If Phone #1 places a call on any of those extensions, then the watch on Phone #2 DOES illuminate.
This is very good news, as it is a big button saver.  I was working I'd have to add watches for all three (x201, 301, and 401) which would chew-threw buttons my my dog goes through tennis balls.
Thanks!

  • Task with multiple outgoing path

    Hi,
I'm creating a process in Oracle JDeveloper.
In the process, there is an activity with two outgoing path.
Most of the examples I've seen uses parallel gateway which comes in pair.
But the problem is that, the two outgoing path will not merge and end at the same end event.
    E.g.
    Task A -> 1) Task B -> End Event 1
    -> 2) Task C -> End Event 2
Is there possible way this can be done?
    Thank you!

    Hi Srini,
have a look for example here [http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_hwfmodel.htm#BABCFHEI].
You should be able to set multiple users/groups/application roles. The default delimiter is a comma (,).
    Regards,
    Martin.

  • Multiple outgoing calls

We are thinking of setting up a business account for our small Nonprofit organization, but we need to be able to make multiple simultaenous outgoing calls from multiple computers from the same account.  Can this be done with Skype?  If so, how?

    Hello degrene,
I see you are asking about making calls from one account and from mutiple PC's.  The answer is, Yes you can.
You will have to create a Skype Connect Account and Purchase one Channels for each user you have.  The PC's that they log into will have it's own SIP profile.  Then you will have to Fund the SIP profile with money to make calls.  The calls will cost you on a per minute basis, and on average of $0.08 cents US per minute.
If you prefer to manage each user in their SIP Profile you might want to look at using a PBX from one of our certified vendors.  The list is at:   http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/business/skype-connect/
Our Skype Connect user guide is at:   http://download.skype.com/share/business/guides/skype-connect-user-guide.pdf for more information on Skype Connect.
Thank You for considering Skype and using the Skype Community Forums.

  • Can a single Mail account have multiple outgoing people names?

I notice that Postbox seems to work well with multiple identities. In addition, you can set a different name for each identity, such as:
    John Smith for [email protected]
    Support for [email protected]
Is there a way to do that in Apple Mail? If not, I think I'll switch to Postbox. It's on sale for $6.95 for a short time.
    Thanks,
    doug

Just tried one thing and it worked for me.
    Close Mail app.
    go to ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
and copy file Accounts.plist somewhere to keep the orriginal safe if something goes wrong.
then open Accounts.plist with text editor (do not use rich text editor, just plain text)
    in this file look for
    <dict>
    <key>AccountName</key>
<string>The name you call your account</string>
The name you call your account should be the rel name of that account
then somewhere bellow you should see
    <key>EmailAddresses</key>
    <array>
    <string>[email protected]</string>
    </array>
add these lines (that appears green in this port) bellow </array> that belongs to john smith.
    <key>EmailAliases</key>
    <array>
    <dict>
    <key>alias</key>
    <string>[email protected]</string>
    <key>name</key>

  • Multiple outgoing payments using one cheque

    Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how we can use one cheque number to pay multiple bills. For example we have $1000 cheque but we need to use same check number in paying 200 for electric bills, 400 for phone bills and 400 for others bills. How we go about this?
    Thank you in advance.

If all these bills are from the same Vendor, you could select the Vendor and all these bills (AP Invoices) would display.  Select them all and create your check.
If you have them as different Vendors, then it would not be possible.  You have to create them as 3 seperate checks.

  • Multiple outgoing mail servers

    Please,
Does anybody know if it is possible to visualize/change outgoing mail server instead of using preferences/accounts settings?
It would be nice to choose one of the outgoing mail servers in the new message window.
Any suggestion of mail-add on tools to facilitate this operation is welcome.
Thanks in advance and sorry about my english.

    Hi David,
Unfortunately it is not what I am looking for. I would have the same work to do that: menu, run script, choose the server.
I am figuring out something like a toolbar icon or new message icon with an "outgoing server" dropping menu.
May be somebody know how to do that.
    Thanks for replying.

  • Problem with multiple outgoing emails

I have a program that takes a 100+ page PDF file and sends 100+ emails to various recipients, each of whom receives a different page of the PDF as an attachment.  Each week, a dozen or more recipients don't get the email--it's not always the same recipient, nothing bounces back, and there are nothing in any of the local logs to indicate a problem.  I've reviewed the quotas in http://businesshelp.comcast.com/help-and-support/Email/email-size-storage-limits/  and if that's the problem I have no way of knowing it.  How can I find out if this issue is related to the Comcast outgoing mail Server?  Thx in advance .... • How to configure multiple outgoing interfaces + NAT + PfR

    Hello,
I have the following config running on Cisco2851.
Five interfaces (four ADSL and one LAN 10Mb/s) connected to Internet using pppoe.
Local policy is used to make working route tracking.
The PfR also configured to load balance traffic coming from LAN to Internet.
PAT is also configured with "oer" keyword at the end of string to not relocate working translations.
But the router is not performing good. :-(
After investigation I found that the selection of the exit interface and setting source ip for
NAT is not synchronized. The provider's router just drops the incoming packet due to uRPF check.
Also, the selection of the exit interface is not PFR aware (mode select-exit best) during
NAT session setup, and router selects one of the possible exit interfaces randomly.
    I have two questions:
    1. How to make synchronization of NAT and Routing to build matching pair of Out_IP=Out_Interface and make my setup working?
    2. How to select the less loaded interface during setup of NAT phase and Routing phase and really involve PfR?
Actually, these two questions is just my one requirement: during setup of NAT session, I need
to find less loaded interface (PfR should check current rx/tx load), select it, and keep it untouched.
    Thanks,
    Sergey

  • Web service with multiple out parameters

    Hi Developers,
I have been playing around with som web services in the developer studio.
I can create a webservice from a normal ejb.
But i can only get one out parameter, which is the return parameter of the ejb.
I tried to make an object to use as return parameter, but then i couldn't use the method for the web service.
Can anyone tell me how to make a web service with multiple out parameters?
    Br Rasmus

    Hi Developers,
I have the same question, is it possible to have multiple outgoing parameters?
When not, does SAP Netweaver knows a IN-OUT parameter? Because I found on the internet that it is possible to have a IN-OUT parameter. But that was with the BEA Weblogic 8.x.
When not, is then the only solution to return a object? With in this object all the parameters you want.
Or otherwise is there a other workaround?
    Thanks in advance,
    Marinus Geuze

  • Web Service executing multiple times

We are noticing an ongoing problem with web services both consumed in SAP as well as web services published in SAP and consumed via .NET applications.  In both cases, we are occasionally seeing examples of a single web service method calls executing multiple times.  For example, one of our methods in our SAP generated web services inserts records into a custom Z table.  We are noticing that for a single invocation of the web service, data records are appearing multiple times in the custom table.  We have placed code inside of the function in SAP to catch these multiple executions, but the code does not recognize the duplicates because most likely, the commit from the previous execution has not yet occurred.  We have time stamped the inserts into the table and can see that they do not have the same time.  Our web services are being created in SE80.  My guess is this is some sort of caching issue.  Has anyone run into a similar problem?  We are using NetWeaver 7.0 and SAP ECC 6.0.

  • Outgoing mail server won't save

Just updated to cable modem and new provider. In Mail, Preferences I reset my Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) with the settings from my new provider. This server is the only one in the list and I checked the box "Use only this server."
However, at least three times a day for the last couple days since I set this up, I am unable to send a message. This is not always when I restart Mail; it has happened when Mail has been open and I have already sent something.
The error message asks me to select a server. When I look at the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) section in Account Information, it is set to None.  If I go in and reset it, the system prompts me to save it, and I can send that message (and many after it). But this has happened several times; it seems to occasionally forget that I selected this server. I am not sure what else to do.
    OS X 10.7.3
    Mail 5.2
    Advice eagerly sought...

My problem is similar.  Every so often (random, no pattern) out of the blue the SMTP server is forgotten. I don't have multiple outgoing servers, so it just asks me 'which one' I want to use.  And of course there's only one listed, so I use that, and it sends just fine.  WHY does it keep forgetting to use the one server I have listed?  Makes no sense.

  • IPad smtp outgoing mail server choices not shown.

I use one mail Gmail account to where all my other accounts forward their mail. This makes it simple for me to organize 10 different accounts.
In iPad Mail settings I've setup my main Gmail account with 10 other smtp outgoing servers but when I write an email I don't have the option to select which smtp server is used. In Apple Mail (Mac OS) this system works fine as they have the option to select whatever smtp servers are setup.
What is the point of having the option in the iPad to set multiple outgoing servers if you can not select which ones are used before sending?
I know I could setup various POP/IMAP accounts for each smtp I prefer to use but why make it so complicated and waste space and bandwith downloading duplicate messages?
Has anyone found a solution to this or am I missing something obvious?

Yeah, I don't know why the difference. Interestingly for me, the iOS version in iOS4.2 is "better" than the OSX version of Mail because now I can have more than one Exchange account.
I am sympathetic with your need to separate your lives. I have a client that accidentally got one of my alternate email addresses and cannot/will not update his address book with the "correct" address, despite my requesting several times over the course of a year. In any case, I don't think there is any way around this other than completely changing your email address. (If not a second Gmail, then Yahoo, Hotmail or other email provider.)
The only time I've ever seen a "no password" SMTP server was as I previously said, it used a "network authentication" method. Many, many moons ago, SMTP servers often didn't have password authentication so would often be used for spam relaying. Before mobile users, "network authentication" by ISPs was fine since they could figure out which user was spamming since they could trace the IP addr, MAC addr, etc back through the physical link to the user. But with mobile users who change networks constantly, the general trend was to password authentication, even for wired ISPs since their users would want to have access to send mail while away from home. (e.g.: you're a RoadRunner customer, but want to send mail while using your laptop on vacation in Italy.) This "prior authenticated download" I've never heard of anyone else doing.

  • Outgoing server keeps failing

Randomly when I try to send mail my outgoing server fails. The drop down window invites me to try again with selected server or change servers .... none of which work!
At the same time the window wanting me to sign in with my password appears.... Help!!

My problem is similar.  Using Mac OS Mail. Every so often (random, no pattern) out of the blue the SMTP server (mediacombb) is forgotten. I don't have multiple outgoing servers, so it just asks me 'which one' I want to use.  And of course there's only one listed, so I use that, and it sends just fine.  WHY does it keep forgetting to use the one server I have listed?  Makes no sense.

  • 88x extensions can't access outgoing trunk

    Hi all,
Our ucs560 is working fine, today I needed to add a few new users, our internal user extensions use the range 820 thru 867 or so. I added the new extensions 880-884. Internal calls back and forth between these new extensions and other existing extensions (820-867) work fine. Incoming DID calls also route just fine to these new 880-883 ext's.
However from an 880-883 extension, I'm not able to press 9 and dial out, when dialing 9, then a 1+10 digit outside #, I just get a dial tone instead of the system accessing our t1 trunk and dialing out like all other existing ext's do.
Have I missed something simple somewhere? I've added lots of new users and extensions before with no problem. Could it be due to the fact that these new extensions use the format 88x ?
Outgoing calls accessing the trunk is the only issue, feel like I've just missed something simple.
    Thanks,
    Chris

Based on a suggestion from another forum, think I've found the issue here, these new ext's don't have outgoing cid's specifially assigned like all other ext's do. So that could be answer here. Will confirm tomm am.

  • IPhone 2.0 Outgoing Mail Server changes

It appears that the outgoing mail server settings in 2.0 are trying to alleviate the problems of switching between your ISP and AT&T (i.e. WIFI to Edge/3G) so that our non compatible email accounts will work in both environments for outgoing mail. Has anyone seen a thread or Apple article that addresses this area of the new software as I would like to understand it better? Seems that my attempts to set up multiple outgoing servers has caused my mail program to get stuck in sending emails. Thanks!

The only way I was able to get my iPhone to check for mail automatically and actually download it was to delete the accounts and re-enter them. After they were re-entered, Mail worked automatically on my ISP mail account as it did before I updated, Push works on my .MAc account, and all my old messages appeared as well (i.e., deleting the accounts did not remove the messages I had stored).
