If I understand your question the easiest way is to create a shared line and put that line on each phone that you want to ring.

  • Can I attach multiple phone numbers to my iMessage account?

    So here's my predicament:
Any time I go travelling somewhere, I like to buy a local SIM card so that I don't have to pay fees for roaming data. The problem is that whenever I insert a new SIM card, iMessage switches to using my new (temporary) number and disconnects from my old (permanent) number. So any new messages I send will either send from this foreign number, or from my email; either one is inconvenient because it tends to start new threads for others in group messages and such. And people who try to iMessage my permanent phone number end up having it fail and then send it as a text message (which I will not receive until I get home and switch my SIM card back).
Is it possible to have multiple phone numbers connected to an iMessage account? (Without resorting to something drastic like buying more iPhones just to have more active numbers.) It seems like something that should be possible, but I can't figure out how to do it.

No, it isn't possible.  But you can give Apple this suggestion here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.

  • Multiple phone hookup question.

How do I hook up multiple phones to a new digital voice installation? Can i just plug into my old phone system input bus?

There can be several ways to connect the eMTA to the inside phone wiring.
First step is to make sure the old telephone service is disconnected.  This is normally at the NID, network interface device, the gray box on the side of the house.  Unplug the small phone cord from the jack in the NID, and mark it so it will not be connected back by accident.
Once the inside phone wiring is disconnected from the old incoming ILEC service, it is safe to hook the eMTA to the inside phone wiring.  Usually the eMTA is installed in a room that has a existing phone jack connected to the inside phone wiring in the home. Take a standard phone cord, plug it in the phone jack in the room and the other end goes to the L1/L2 jack on the eMTA telephony modem.  That feeds the jacks in the home to the talk battery voltage on the eMTA and supplies your dial tone and ringing voltage to all phones connected in the home.
Special wiring needs to be done when there is a alarm panel in the home, normally the Comcast installer does this.  If the room that the eMTA doesn't have a phone jack, then a inside wire needs to be installed to connect the eMTA to a different point where there is access to the inside phone wiring in the home.

  • Trying to Audio chat causes my internet phone to ring.

When trying to talk with a friend with iChat through the iSight mic, my internet phone starts ringing and it has the persons name on the caller ID. When I pick up the phone, there is no one there? And then a audio conference denied messange goes through to my friends computer. When my friend tries to connect with me, it does the same thing. Has anyone had this odd problem and has fixed it? I'm currently using AT&T callvantage services.

Some help is available to sort out the package, but the extra phone number is gone forever. If you did no know what it was, then its unlikely you would have given the phone number to anyone else. If you alter the hub settings you can make the landline ring the hub phone.
The main advantage of Broadband Talk, was cheaper international calls.
I have asked a moderator to provide assistance with the package, they will post an invite on this thread.

  • Does the IPhone 3G support multiple phone lines?

Looking into purchasing the iphone 3G - does the 3G support multiple Phone lines or numbers? Such as a business and personal number?

You should probably call and ask AT&T, as that would be something that would need to be configured on their end.

  • How do I stop phone from ringing (externally) while using Jawbone bluetooth

I recently purchased a Jawbone ERA and I noticed that the phone (externally) rings while I have the Jawbone in my ear.  My previous bluetooth only rang in my ear.
If I set the phone to vibrate, then it stops the external ring and I only hear it in my ear, but then I don't get email and text tones in my ear if it's on vibrate.
I would like it to only ring in my ear w/o having to put it on vibrate.
    Can anyone help with this?

Vibrate and what you call "mute" are the same thing.  The little button on the side that's orange?  That's the button I'm talking about.  It puts it on vibrate because have it set to "vibrate on silent."  Regardless, it would have the same result.
I don't want a vibrate only ringtone - then I have to keep changing the ringtone back to "sound" every time I stop using the bluetooth.  I want the bluetooth to work like a bluetooth is supposed to work.  When it's in your ear . . . every sound should be going . . . in your ear.   For the price of this Jawbone, you should be able to silence the external ring.  My cheap Motorola bluetooth did it.
I have a message in to Jawbone too, so hopefully they'll be able to help.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.

  • I can't get my phone to ring. When a call comes in the phone vibrates. I have checked my settings

I can't get my phone to ring. When a call comes in the phone vibrates. I have checked my [email protected]

There should be a little switch on the top left side of your phone. It's the silent mode. If it's switched on, you will see an orange bar there. Switch it off, and you'll get your sound back.

  • Phone Stops Ringing When I pick it Up

    Hello
    I have a Blackberry 9720.
    1.  I want to find out why my phone stops ringing when I pick it up to answer it?
    2.  How can I get it ring for longer as it rings for such a short time?
    Many thanks
    Barbara

    Barbara,
1- I'm not sure why this is happening but reloading your OS using BlackBerry Desktop Software should correct this. To reload your OS, plug your phone in to BDS on your PC and click Device at the top of BDS then click Backup. Once you've done a backup, click Device once again but this time click Restore and choose the file you just created and load it. If you had a touchscreen, I'd suggest that you're probably touching the screen which would cancel the ringtone but because your phone is not a touchscreen, this wouldn't apply.
2- Call MTN for help with this issue. It's your carrier that controls for how long your phone rings and they can set it to go as long as 30 seconds if you request it.
    I hope that helps you.

  • Phone keeps ringing on the caller's end - Is This a Call Waiting and Flash Button Problem?

I had FIos phone service installed 2 weeks ago.  I am having a sporadic but regularly occurring issue with incoming calls that I think might be related to the Call Waiting and flash button so I am looking for some input.  Before describing the issue here are a couple of things to know:
    - I have my Verizon voice mail service turned off on my account.
    - I have the call waiting function set to off.
    - On my phone handset the Talk and Flash operation is the same button.
Now here is my issue.  Often but not 100% of the time people are telling me that the phone just rings and rings on their end.  After receiving many complaints since my Fios install that the phone rings and my phone answering machine does not pick up the call I have been calling my home phone number with my cell phone and I have determined the following:
    1.  My home answering machine will pick up the call, however on my cell phone which is the calling end the  phone is still just ringing.
    2.  Sometimes I will press the talk button but there will be dead air but on my cell phone which is the calling end it will still be ringing..  But if I press the Talk/Flash button a couple of times the call completes.
Since my Talk and Flash button are the same I started to wonder if that is a factor so I repeated scenarios above and found that after pressing the Talk button a couple of times then the call is answered and the phone stops ringing on the caller's end.
I know that with Call Waiting the caller's end will just keep ringing unless the called end switches over with the Flash button.  So my question is even though I have the Call Waiting function turned off could the combination Talk/Flash button be the reason why the call just rings on the caller's end even though I have Call Waiting turned off?  And f this is the cause then why is it happening and does it mean that I have to buy a new phone that has separate Talk and Flash buttons?
I hope the above description of my problem makes sense and can be answered.  Thank you

Without buying a new phone you can test this. Unplug the phone that has the combination button. If its a cordless phone base station with multiple handsets, make sure you unplug those as well. Then use a regular phone plugged in to do test calls (if you dont have one you could maybe borrow one for a couple minutes from a friend, family, or neighbor).

  • Multiple phones connected???

    Help please
Why does my wifes n95 now says multiple phones connected when connected to pc suite, also non compatible mode in bottom tray-also won't allow back up as files being used,I must have altered a setting somewhere, althuogh i seem to be using the same connection procedure, any help appreciated

Mac OS X > System Preferences > Bluetooth > Devices > select desired device > Create Serial Port (at the left) > + > enter a name you like > select the Dial-up Networking profile > tick all checkboxes > OK
This should create a new port within System Preferences > Network which allows you to connect to a different phone just as you like.

  • What Verizon phone should I purchase?

So, it's time to upgrade my cell phone. I've been with Verizon for many years, & they still get the best reception around New England, as far as I know, so, regrettably, I'd like to stick with them.
I went to the Verizon store yesterday & every thing was PC compatible, & the guy said nothing was made for Macs. This didn't make sense to me for some reason, but I'm new to the whole wireless internet thing with my new iBook.
    He recommended the Q phone.
QUESTION: Which phone will communicate with my Apple computers?
Again, as I have posted in other questions, which phones WILL work, not which phones SHOULD work?
    Jesse

I'm using a Nokia 6600 with Salling Clicker installed. See this site:
    <http://www.salling.com/Clicker/mac/devices.php>
Salling Clicker is great; it recognizes my phone when I come within bluetooth range and starts playing my iTunes, pauses iTunes when the phone rings or when I make a call, and resumes when I'm done. It also acts as a remote or mouse to control my G5 from anywhere in my shop. Someone comes in, and I turn the volume down with my phone. When I get in my truck to go home at the end of the day, I leave with the music playing and soon as I get out of range, it pauses. It really is just like a refrigerator light- on when I need it.
In regard to a new phone, when I look for one it will be a Nokia running the Symbian OS, possibly an E61, which has WLAN. I will buy an unlocked phone, and simply insert my SIM card from my current phone and start making calls. I'm using T-Mobile, BTW.
Whatever phone you get, make sure it works with Salling Clicker- you'll be glad you did.

  • Just upgraded to iOS 7 and messages are showing up on multiple phones within our family.  We all use the same iCloud account. I believe this happened the last time there was a major iOS upgrade but I can't remember what the fix was!  Help!

The four members of my family just upgraded to iOS 7 last night.  We now find that we are receiving each other's text messages.  It's possible that during the installs, a few members may not have "unckecked" the multiple phone numbers they can be reached on.  I know that I had to uncheck my husbands work mobile number and work email address as they came up as choices for contacting me.  So now I am receiving some of my daughter's text messages on my phone - she's not impressed!  My husband is receiving my texts etc...  It's a mess!  I appreciate any help anyone can offer!

I had this problem last night as well.  Only my daughter upgraded to iOS7 and she had an old phone of mine.  When she upgraded, the phone asked for my apple ID and then continued as normal.  However, after the upgrade, any text message that I recieved, she also recieved.  I am pretty sure my wife thought I was hammered when she started texting me and my daughter began answering her not having any clue what she was texting about.  Anyway, this only occurred with texts from other family members, not from texts I received from friends who are obviously not on our account (we have Verizon BTW).  To resolve this issue, and it isn't a short resolution.... there are two options...   One, simply erase everyting on the phone.... I don't like iTunes 11, so we were unable to back up her phone.  I made her go through her 600 photos, delete the ones she didn't want and email the ones she wanted to herself, and then we wiped the phone clean and rebooted it... go into Settings, General, Reset, Erase All Content and Settings.  The second option, if you have iTunes 11 is to back up the phones one at a time,  and then go into Settings, General, Reset, Erase All Content and Settings.  Either of these options wipes the phone clean of all information, text contacts pictures etc and then you have to re-enter all of your individual information.  When you do that, make sure that no one is on the same iTunes account.  Theoretically, after you do this, you plug back into your computer and SYNC your phone from the last back-up.  This resolved the problem for us.  I don't know if there is an easier solution, be we tried logging in and out of our iTunes Accounts, turning the power on and off, and nothing changed.  So, we had to go the more difficult route to avoid mass confusion with family texting.

  • We use our Iphones with the icloud to set up scheduling of jobs. Multiple phones share the same icloud for this purpose. We recently had a change in leadership. How do I completely delete the icloud account? Or do I just create a new one/forget old 1

Multiple phones share one Icloud account. We use it to schedule jobs and crew leaders read the cloud to get the information of the job that needs to be done. However, we recently had a change of leadership and we think this person might have logged into or put our cloud on his phone to sabotage our business. I changed the password but that didn't fix the situation. I could put a job on the cloud with an old phone that was logged in with the old password and everyone with the new password would still see the job. I have since created a whole new cloud account which seems to have eliminated the "future" issue of sabotage however I would like to completely eliminate that old account...any advise?

Everyone needs to go to Settings (or System Preferences)>iCloud and click 'Delete account' or 'Sign out' as applicable (it's the same thing). Then they can sign into the new account you have created and proceed from there. You can't actually delete the old account from the server but you can just ignore it.

As far as trying to power up your device, make sure it has a good charge and then hold the button on the top of the phone and the home button on the faceplate together until the apple appears on the screen.

  • HT5616 I have multiple phones and iPads and all are linked to one iCloud account and one iTunes Account.  I want to keep the same iTunes Account so I can share music, etc., however, I want each device to have its own iCloud account.  How do I do this?

I have multiple phones and iPads and all are linked to one iCloud account and one iTunes Account.  I want to keep the same iTunes Account so I can share music, etc., however, I want each device to have its own iCloud account.  Any help on how I can I do this?

You'll need to create an Apple ID for each device. Use the new Apple ID for FaceTime, iMessage and iCloud on the device. Use the original Apple ID for Settings>iTunes & App Store.
