Multiple photo albums

In posting iWeb photo albums under .Mac I can only get one up at a time, the new one wants to replace the previous. Is is possible to have multiples with different names?

Make up your albums in iPhoto and drag then from the "media" window onto an iWeb "albums" template.
Select album title and /or # of photos from the "media index" which will popup when you click within the album template box.

I have "Sync Photos from" clicked. But the "selected folders" remains greyed out. I have too many photo folders to combine into one folder, and this is just a glitch around the problem. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

How do I create multiple photo albums?

I was curious as to how I can create multiple photo albums using only the iPhone 4. I found out a way to creat "one" album. But I can't even change the name of it and it's not very useful if I can only create one album. I have a lot of pictures on my phone and I would like to sort them out. I use Windows 7 not a Mac. (Wish I had one though)
Also, will the iOS 5 allow users to create photo albums using only the phone? The current OS doesn't seem to allow it.

I should have fiddled with my computer more. I figured it out by creating a "Master" folder. And inside that folder contains more folders with my organized pictures. But, would still like to be able to do this all on the phone. That would make the iPhone just THAT much more simple.

How can I create multiple photo albums in iWeb? When I simply pull albums from iPhoto to iWeb, the photos appear individually.

Updated to Firefox 3.6. My Photo Albums display properly on an iWeb site in Safari; they also previously did with the Firefox version I had updated from. However, the photo albums have disappeared now from my Photo Album page.

Apparently many people are having this problem but it isn't resolved for anyone. Is it Apple's problem or is it Firefoxe's -- and is this happening in IE too (we don't have IE here on our computers btw)
Since these are professionally-related photo albums it sure would be nice if this could be fixed pronto.

Which is better for creating multiple photo albums, MAC or PC?

I know next to nothing about the IPAD. I don't want to spend the money to buy a MAC if my PC will do the job. I need to create multiple photo albums on an Ipad. Is that possible with a PC? Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Sync multiple Photo Albums

Hi... I can't seem to sync multiple photo albums. If I try to add more it just over rides the previous one--- I can only have one at a time. I don't have either Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop Album on my PC. I only have the full Photoshop. Anyone able to help out there.... ?

I'm also having the same problem and as a keen photo hobbyist, I have my photo folders arranged by year and within each year folder I have between 20-40 sub folders, with images totaling over 80 Gb in size.
With your solution, I'll have to manually create a new folder called iPod Photos and copy the folders I want in iPod into that folder and sync the iPod Photos in iTunes.
This is a crazy solution. I don't want to duplicate another 20Gb or so of images in a separate folder just so I could sync with iTunes. Why can't iTunes sync multiple folders like other 3d party iPod apps can?

I am no longer able to sync multiple photo albums/folders on my iphone. I use to be able to sync many folders and now itunes only gives the option of 1 folder. How do I get back to the multiple folder option?

first time to the discussion forum. Like I stated in the title, I use to be able to have all my photo albums sync to my iphone. I did something and now it only allows me to "sync photos from..." and it only allows me to chose from 1 of my folders and not pick multiple folders from my photo library. does anyone know how to get back to the multiple folder option? I'm sure its simple since I changed this so easily when trying to add a single folder to my library.

Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

Multiple photo albums after synch

Hi,
I have synchronized a lot of photo albums to the iPhone 4S (iOS 7.1) from my Win7 PC. After a while I see a lot of copies of the albums in the photo app (e.g. 100 instead of only 30 I have synchronized), but they do not contain the original photos. Photos are spreaded arbitrary across multiple albums.
I synchronized the phone with an empty folder and deleted the "Photo Cache" folder. The I synchronized again the photo albums and everything was fine. 2 days later the albums were jumbled again (there was no synch or reboot meanwhile, just using browser and whatsapp).
How can I get that clean?

All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the Photo Library.
The photos in the albums below include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. Photos in the albums below are not duplicated and there is no way to prevent this.
This way you can view all photos in all albums by selecting Photo Library, or you can view the photos in an album only by selecting the album.

Is There a Way to Have Multiple Photo-Album Pages?

... specifically by duplicating a current album page. I have an Album page with 13 albums on it, which makes for slow loading.
I was thinking of breaking it into 3 Album pages. The easiest way, it would seem, would be to duplicate the existing Album page twice and then deleting the Albums I didn't want on each page. But Duplicate is grayed out for the Album page. Is starting from scratch the only way to have a 2nd or 3rd album page?
It also doesn't seem to be possible to copy an album so it can pasted on a new Album page.

Just as Cyclosaurus pointed out if you drag a photos page from an existing album page onto the icon of a new, empty album page that photos page will be transferred/moved to the new album page and the captions will be maintained.
Give it a try and if it doesn't do what you expect just quit iWeb without saving any changes.

What's the easiest way to set up multiple photo albums?

Ok so here is where I am at...
I am creating a portfolio site for my photographer friend and I want to be able to set it up so that she can easily create new albums whenever she wants. The thing is I created the template for my site using Muse, so i've been learning how to make BC and Muse work together. I have already got the Blog Module working with Muse just fine after some searching, but the photo galleries are just getting me stumped.
Is there a way to set it up so that my friend can upload new albums using only BC? For example, on the portfolio page I would like there to be options that say Weddings, Portraits, Engagements... etc and then on each page following those options would be separate galleries for each event she shoots.
I sure hope this is possible to achieve... Thanks for your help!

You will need to give her access to the admin and have proper templates setup and enable the editing. This will mess up a bit of how you work with your Muse.
She can then make pages and create photo galleries in the admin and insert them into a page.

the way I did it was to create a folder where you put all the pictures you want to sync. then create sub folders, these will be your albums.
now go into itunes and change the "sync photos from" in the photo tab to the new folder. then check "selected folders" and chose which album you want to add.

I am trying to delete multiple photo albums from itunes and cannot locate a delete method on the itunes page. I tried deleting from my iP4 but cannot locate a delete tab other than the one on the camera roll section. Any suggestions would be a help

I am trying to remove photos from itunes so I can resync my ip4 and remove all the photos that were transferred from my Win7 PC when I synced the phone. No tabs on the phone to delete so I assume I will need to delete from itunes and resync the phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IWeb photo albums

Have just created a website with multiple photo albums ... all images look great within iWeb, but when the site is published, (to either a folder, or to a .mac site) the images on the Album page (with album animation set to skim) are all pixelated ... when you click onto album image to get to the photo grid page, all images appear on the photo grid page (and in the slideshow) as perfect and sharp without any pixelation whatsoever.
I have tried importing the images from both Aperture and iPhoto ... no difference ... both are pixelated when published ... Then tried changing the presets/preferences , both in iWeb for image import (checked and unchecked the box for "optimize images on import" ) ... and in Aperture, changing the image size and quality for export ... no difference ...
My apple creative is at a loss, as are all the genius' in the store ... and I am unable to find any fix in iWeb help, the tutorials, the discussion forums, the pdf info, or anywhere else ... can't even find the problem listed ...
Can anyone help me?

When you say "using smaller thumbnails" what exactly do you mean?
I imported 49 3008x2000 photos which were scaled down to 800x528 for display within the page width i set for the project. (This also appears to be the storage size for published photos which I was able to download back to my computer.) In any case, the "Album Index" page then created created a "thumbnail" (image scaled to 512x338) for use on the "Album Index" page. (You will note that this is the same width as those previously noted on kire25's web site with height at aspect ratio that matches my slightly odd Nikon originals.) In any case, think of these "thumbnails" as being used as individual frames in a movie clip and that moving your cursor horizontally across the "thumbnail" display area as being the same as "scrubbing" a movie player's "play head" and you can imagine how "skimming" thumbnail images actually works.
As to the apparent increase in quality, I set the display area for 4 columns of thumbnail displays even though I only made a single album for my test. Having four columns, each would be displayed at only 258x170 with the settings used in my test. Thus the display size in my case is actually less than the scaled size of the "thumbnail" image and so skimming speed is faster and relative quality appears to increase. Didn't check the actual difference in my test, but I believe that if you set the number of columns in iWeb for the automatic generation of this effect to 2, 3, or 4, then actual thumbnail image size is equal to or larger than the display size. Only the "1 Column" setting displays the thumbnail larger than its actual size (i.e., will generate obvious pixellation). Must confess, however, that I wasn't all that thrilled with the scaling algorithm used by iWeb (probably the standard QT scaler) as opposed to other algorithms.
The size of the images themselves are compressed before you insert the album into the place holder, or the size of the "album holder" is smaller in dimension ...?
Not sure if the compression takes place when photos are added to photo pages or at the time of publication. First photo in page always looked worse than the others after I modified the web page width and increased the display area. (Would probably require reads of project file data (image size) before and after making changes to page/display widths to determine how the stored image dimensions are effected by changes in the project settings. (This is not something I would want to take the time to investigate at this time as I am way behind in making some DVDs for my grandson.)

I cannot seem to find out how to create multiple photo albums. Since I would rather not search through 147 photos just to show someone a picture of my kids, I am thinking there must be something I am missing. Thanks for the help!

Albums get created by syncing over photos from your computer. You should be taking photos off your camera roll as it is not meant for long term storage.
Once on your computer you sync them over based on your settings in iTunes.
I only know about Windows machines.
You point iTunes to a folder where your pictures are stored.
Lets just say it is:
C:\PICTURES
Then in that folder you make other folders like:
C:\PICTURES\WIFE
C:\PICTURES\KIDS
C:\PICTURES\FRIENDS
C:\PICTURES\VACATION
Thus it will make albums for each subfolder. Note it can only go one subfolder deep so you cannot have C:\PICTURES\KIDS\SON

Try this general troubleshooting procedure:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.
