Multiple Photo Containers?

I've been poking around a bit but an answer didn't jump out at me. Is it possible with iWeb '08 to create a "photos" page (using the "Photos" template or not) with multiple photo "containers" that give you the thumb and a link to the bigger picture?
For example, I'd like to create one page for pictures from a weekend including Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'd like to have a title and text box with a description of the Friday pictures then a container with 18 pictures from Friday. Then, underneath the first 18 pictures another text box with a description of Saturday and below that another photo container with pictures from Saturday.
If you try to copy and paste an entire photo "container", only the photos are duplicated inside the original container. There doesn't seem to be any way to "insert" a photo container, but maybe it's not clear to me exactly what it's called.
A good example would be my "grab bag" page which contains some pictures I'd like to put online, but there aren't enough of each group to create a whole page for each of them. I'd rather have the descriptions in between every three or six pictures.

It was a bit frustrating, but I was able to publish each album one at a time. It just takes ten minutes of iWeb "thinking" with a spinning rainbow beach ball before any single change to my site will start to publish. But, I was able to get some to publish. Apparently I have three more hours of publishing since I have 15 more small albums to add. So, I'm going to call it a night and probably finish-up this weekend when I have a bit more time. (I'm not entirely sure I have three whole hours to spare, but I may be able to squeeze in three separate one hour slots.) Moving ahead, I won't usually have to add one of these pages more than once a month or so. It won't be such a big deal then.

Thinking ahead, this may work very well for me. I have four "sites" in my 2008 domain file. The Minnesota, Alaska and LA sites don't appear in the navbar, I've just added a link on the index page manually. For 2009, I could create album pages for each of my big trips that have multiple pages but I'd still like to keep a navbar indication without crowding the whole navbar with EVERY page.
Here's the bonus question... Is there any way to set the default picture on the albums in the original album page? If not, I may re-arrange the pictures a little bit so the one I want is first in the album. But, for example, in the "Dine out for Life" page, I'd rather have the "Dine out for Life" poster picture as the default picture rather than the "We've got a bar" picture that happened, that night, to happen first. I'm a little anal about making sure everything is in the correct chronological order. Just like real life!

How do I import or move multiple selected photos to an existing album in iPhoto 9.6? In previous versions I could select and drag multiple photos into an album. Now I can only move one photo at a time. Help!

    Try this general troubleshooting procedure:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

  • If I open a photo in "preview", multiple photos open. I just want to open one, but can't figure out how to do it.

I keep multiple photos in a desktop folder to be quickly accessed by using Preview. But when I try to open ONE photo, it opens multiple photos. Can't figure out how to display just the single one that I select.  OS 10.7.2

This is the resume feature of Lion. The last state of the application is saved when quitting (i.e last pictures viewed in Preview, last videos viewed in Quicktime etc).
You can switch it off for Preview by copy and pasting the following in to the terminal application
defaults write com.apple.Preview NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false

  • Can't email multiple photos

i received my new iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1 about a week Or two ago, and it's workjng great. Today I tried to email my mom about 4 pictures from the camera roll/photo album As I always have. unfortunately, after I clicked the mail icon, I was taken to the "add account" screen. If I try to add my gmail account, or even my hotma accont, it tells me the account is already set up.
Some some steps ive tried are: resetting network setting, resetting ALL settings, deleting all accounts, resetting phone and adding the accounts back in. My gmail account is set as the default mail account, I can send and receive fine. If I click the "more" button from within an email, I can add a single photo just fine. My email send and receives fine.
Anyome have any idea how to fix this? certainly not a huge problem, but annoying nonetheless.

tthough I had tried this before, I attempted it again when prompted. It setup my hotmail account fine, but instead of taking me to the email with attachments, it leaves me in the settings screen. When I go back and try to send them again from the camera roll, it briefly said "preparing" then went right back to the "add account" screen.
YEs, sending multiple photos through iMessage or SMS works fine, as does every other option other than email.

how can I add multiple photos to camera roll

If you mean from photo stream, open your photo stream album on your phone in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos to select them, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

  • Emailing multiple photos from camera roll

Search threads but didn't find. Can multiple photos from camera roll be sent in an email on the iPhone 4

    In round about way yes.
    Go to photos.
In thumbnail view click menu item (think moved to top right in iOS4) to enable multiselect.
Select photos (up to 5 ... sorta) and then you can click share.
The sorta part is that if you do more than 5 the share will go away, but you can still select more, then choose copy, then go open email and paste in more than 5.

  • Scan in mutiple photos in one file, can I crop multiple photos...

    at same time?
I don't know how to scan multiple photos as distinct file. I scan 5-6 pics it comes out at one file that I import into iPhoto. While it's very easy to crop each photo out of the file, I have to import the file as many times as there are photos
    to crop.
I hope I've been clear. Is there a smarter way to work. I don't see a way to scan
the 5-6 pics as different files in my scanner software.
    Thanks

    Joshua:
Vuescan is a 3rd party scanning application which can do batch scanning but is a little more difficult to set up. It works with most scanners.
If you have a Canon scanner you can scan in multiple photos at one time and have the scanner software crop, not as close as I'd like, each one individually and present to you in the editor of your choice or the one that comes with it.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How can I attach multiple photos to an e-mail

I would like to attach multiple photos which are already in the photos file on my ipad to e-mails I am sending from the ipad.  Is there a place in the e-mail where you can attach photos.  The only way I have found to do it is to send from inside the photos file but can only attach one per e-mail.  Any suggestions?

You must email the photos from within the photos app.
You can select up to 5 photos to email at a time. While you are in thumbnail view in the photos app - tap the arrow icon in the uper right corner. Then tap on up to 5 photos in order to select them. Tap the Share button in the upper left corner and then select - email

How can I send multiple photos in an email?

In Photos, when looking at your pictures, click the Action arrow first (upper right), before selecting any pictures.  Then you can tap select the pictures you want to send then click "Share" in the upper left.  From there you can Email.
If you click and open one picture first, the Action button will only allow you to share that one picture.
(Yeah, took me a while to figure this out. )

  • I have a large number of photos imported into iPhoto with the dates wrong.  How can I adjust multiple photos (with varying dates) to the same, correct, date?

I have a large number of photos imported into iPhoto with the dates wrong.  How can I adjust multiple photos (with varying dates) to the same, correct, date?

If I understand you correctly, when you enter a date in the Adjust Date and Time window, the picture does not update with the date you enter.  If that is the case then something is wrong with iPhoto or your perhaps your library.
How large a date change are you putting in?  iPhoto currently has an issue with date changes beyond about 60 years at a time.  If the difference between the current date on the image and the date you are entering is beyond that range that may explain why this is not working.
If that is not the case:
Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and try again:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.iphoto
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There may be more than one. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: to get to the "home > library" hold down option on the keyboard and click on "Go" > "Library" while in the Finder.
    Let me know the results.
